I bought two… a bluetooth speaker for the deck that doesn’t need to be brought in when it rains for $10 seems like a bargain to me. Got one for the front porch too.
Honestly, we have bought a total of 10 of these from MEH in the last 6 months. We love them. My son and friends take 2 of them to the beach almost every day. They go to the pool and two of them stay in the kitchen as cooking motivation for me I have given 3 as gifts with 2 of the gifts going to people with pools and also have 3 on my back deck at all times. So great for the price. Great sound and so far pretty waterproof

I used mine in the shower for a while, worked great. It was just bulky, so I ended up replacing it with a smaller speaker I could hang on the shower head.
@ModusPwnens I have one on corner of the tub. It works well. One problem though, the speaker is on the top so you need to roll it on its’ side to hear.
It doesn’t suck. How often have I forwarded to the next podcast on my phone instead of turning up the volume? Plenty. And I still haven’t played Harry Belafonte through it like I told myself I had to do when I got it. But it is loud enough, wide enough frequency response, and rainproof enough. It’s another to know you didn’t know what you were doing. If I know I did it and made a choice, then that is that. But it’s always nice to know what you’re doing.
@silverqueen It’s white with an inch wide yellow rubber band swooshing around the center- that’s where the controls are. There are a few tacky palm leaves printed on the yellow but they are light orange and fairly subtle. It also has two small blue light bars because I guess that’s a boat thing. The lights can be turned on or off. I like mine. Also the buttons are pretty high and easy to feel.

The kids can grab one and take it outside while they’re playing in the backyard, and as long as it is in range of my phone, they get their tunes. We keep the other in the bathroom. They hold a charge for a long time, and they charge up quickly.
what about using the guts of this to build a garage mounted speaker. maybe a louder speaker and switched power instead of the battery so it won’t hijack my phone audio any time I go near the garage. is it a solid sTATE POWER button? Would I have to press it to turn it on when the power was switched on? Probably. I wish I had some potato chips right now.
Dang. I’ve been deliberating about getting one since this morning and it sells out seconds before I decide to buy it. Probably for the best! That would have been another project to never get to.

@Thumperchick, given that it may matter to @silverqueen (see above comments) and others, could @JasonToon (undoubtedly spelled wrong, forgive me) include some reference to the tactility of control buttons or measurement markers on items? Raised, in a double row, sunk deep within a hollow on the side, that sort of thing. If there are no tactile helps on the things, that’s worth knowing too. I have to get a magnifying glass half the time.
@sammydog01 I did after you mentioned it, but it doesn’t respond. Is the small hole under the charging slot a reset button? If so… that doesn’t work, and it might be jammed, and that might be the entire issue. Regardless, I’m still swimming in silence and I’m sad.
@lockwood22 I’m fairly sure you’ve tried it but since I’m in IT support I have to ask if you tried holding the power button a little longer. The first time I powered mine up it took a bit longer than I had expected to turn on.

WOW… opened up the one I bought, charged it overnight, paired it with my phone and slung it in the pool…and … it worked like a charm! After reading the above posts I guess I better check out the 2nd one, bought as a potential gift. When my wife saw the first one she insisted we keep it as a back-up. Best $10 speaker I ever bought!
These are worth every cent I paid for them. They arrived pristine in cartons 1150 and 2081 out of 4206 pristine packed securely with six packages of Texas air. I’m going to check the second one out but based on the first one’s performance I’d say these are a total winner, where else do you get an extremely water resistant bluetooth speaker for $10?

The link is a fake page with “Lorem Ipsum” text and the Submit button below the Contact Us form does nothing. Contacted Meh last week about the fake customer support page - no response back.
You know, it’s not the 15 bucks that bugs me, it’s the complete lack of concern. First Meh purchase.
@timabe the support team at meh works m-f 9-5ish. Sometimes it can take a few days for them to respond, due to volume. Sorry about the bouncing around, they will get you sorted.

@mfladd it handles immersion fine, just turn it over if it sounds muted and let it drain out the speaker compartment. Blow the holes clear if it’s still muted, it works great!
