Oh! We made the bacon bowls on x-mas morning. Filled with eggs and sausage. Delicious!!
Two tips: 1) Thick cut bacon is not recommended for these. It's a PITA to get it cooked all the way. But it's thicker bacon, so twice as delicious. 2) They come out great in the microwave as well (but you need to let it sit for a bit to harden up).
:( Now you guys make me wish I had recorded my baby's first trip to heavenly bacon station... He's 14 months now and probably had his first taste of bacon around 10-11 months and loved it just like your little ones. :)
@mehybe@pavlov@carl669 I can't remember the first time I gave Raylan Bacon... but I don't think he went crazy for it... maybe I have the one weird baby (highly likely) But for him to not want bacon... that's weird... Then again, some of his favorite foods are: Carrot Apple Citrus (orange/tangerine) Broccoli Brussel sprouts Asparagus Ham Pineapple Berries (blue and red... just about any) (Yes he likes things that he "shouldn't" at this age...)
@sohmageek my boy is incredibly picky as well and refuses to try new food. luckily, bacon was one of the things he loves. here's the rest of his favorites list: hot dogs salami breakfast sausage (but he won't eat hamburger) cheese goat milk yogurt pork rinds 85-90% dark chocolate (yes, really) avocados (with salt sprinkled on them) berries (mostly blue and straw) dum-dums (especially ones from @mikibell)
he goes through phases. at one point, he loved scrambled eggs. now, he won't get near them. i'm hoping he eventually reaches a phase where he'll eat some veggies.
@carl669 Raylan's old favorites from phases have been Hot dogs Yogurt (Sometimes he'll eat it sometimes he just fusses...) pork is about 50/50 chance...
I forgot cheese he always LOVES Cheese!
Other things he loves: Dark chocolate Milk chocolate
Amazing.

@DaveInSoCal nice pro tips!
what is it with kids and bacon? this was the boy's reaction to his first bit of bacon.
@carl669 Bacon is just that awesome! It makes my mouth happy.
@carl669 Doesn't everybody do a happy dance around bacon? Is it just me?
@carl669 I love the suggested video afterwards... Narwhals song... lol I wonder if it's based upon your videos or mine...
@sohmageek must be yours. my first suggested video is llamas with hats. the fifth one is 'what happens if you mix coke and bleach'.
Now if we can just get @brhfl to try the bacon . . .

@mikibell They're smaller... I haven't seen these: in a long time.
