In the more negative reviews are multiple complaints of blistered lips and gums, wrecked enamel, mouth pieces that are too big to fit in the person’s mouth, teeth that are made sensitive… so I’d say use with caution. Of course there are a zillion positive reviews too but damaged enamel you can’t undo.
@Kidsandliz I googled “urea peroxide.” According to this dentist, it’s better for teeth than some of the other whiteners on the market, BUT this might not be a product for anyone with extra sensitive teeth.Whitening Your Steve Buscemi Teeth
@Kidsandliz Some care in putting the gel into the trays will avoid any blistered lips and gums - those people very likely put in way too much gel, and when they put the tray on their teeth made the gel overflow.
All that happens with this stuff is that when applied it begins to break down and oxidize. It is during that time that cleaning occurs. The light helps the process a bit, but it will still happen without it. This is legit, but at $30 for just two syringes it’s a terrible deal. Look on eBay and the like and you can find packs of ten for a lot less money. They’ll come from China so you’ll have to wait, but it’s the same basic stuff. They’ll even include the light.
@haydesigner hey I didn’t care about this ridiculous but slightly annoying campaign for a whole 165 days. Mike being a complete asshole AND bringing up pop sockets in a totally unrelated thread while attacking another user. AND campanging for them convinced me. Die popsockets.
@unksol, yeesh… Mike does come off pretty harsh in that thread. Maybe he was having a bad day. Or perhaps warranties are a trigger of some sort for him.
I don’t know him. But I’ll cut him some slack. Everyone is allowed some benefit of doubt.
@Pufferfishy I don’t think it counts as “quackery” if a “whitening kit” can make your teeth too white. Even if it is just an expensive way to deliver peroxide to your teeth.
If the wavelength of the light is in the right part of the spectrum, it will accelerate many reactions involving peroxide. With enough lumens, it can significantly speed up the process. (I have not evaluated the light in any way, and do not know if it is safe and effective in this application.)
@hamjudo OK - point taken. My point really is:
These make your teeth look fake.
I’ve never seen someone with really white teeth and though “Wow - they have great teeth!” - I think “Wow - they do something horrible to make their teeth white!”
But to each their own. Ultimately they’re your choppers to blast with chemicald and UV radiation as you deem fit.
Amazing. In advertising, we went from whitening teeth, (retouching c prints), and then every insecure person decided they should look like the fake images. Gotta love advertising and the minds it manipulates. Be happy with who you are.
69% fake reviews doesn’t really surprise me, but it’s interesting that when the fake reviews are removed the rating doesn’t change much, it only drops from 4.4 to 4.2 stars.

Whitening Pen? Really? Really Meh!
Does this stuff even work?
@Gopherk working for me. Just fi ished 2nd treatment and can tell a clear difference.
White teeth matter
@nolrak I think we can all agree that all teeth matter.
@unksol You don’t think white teeth matter!
I’m willing to bet money result is the same if you use this jelly without dumb LED light
@username a couple of reviewers found that.
Ummm it’s $19.95 on Amazon
@BGreider I think that price on amazon is just for the whitening pen.
@BGreider @janelane1980 Yeah, but all the extra stuff that comes with this deal is worthless.
Not for sale in the UK I assume?
What if I only want specific teeth to be white?
@nolrak I’m pretty sure that’s what the whitening pen is for. I literally know nothing about this product.

Nothing a little industrial grade 15% Hydrogen peroxide gel can’t fix. Hard Meh on thus one.
Meh Face Popsockets, please.
DAY 167
No meh face pop sockets please. Ever again.

I suggest getting a better front man

@haydesigner @unksol I just went and read this and I’m with you.
@haydesigner @unksol I could use some pop sockets but now will gladly pay more elsewhere.

Pass. Would hate glow in the dark teeth!
@givemehdeal
@Cythwulf @givemehdeal Nice purple shirt.
Does it taste oil based, water based, or Plumbum based?
@hchavers Urea peroxide may offer a hint.
@hchavers @mehcuda67 so it tastes like… burning?
Well thanks for that nightmare inducing final photo right before bed.
@yakkoTDI I think those are just her eye-teeth. That’s what I keep telling myself anyway.
@yakkoTDI thanks for that… I didn’t need to see that
@yakkoTDI…$20 bucks says some tatt shop is contemplating that as an option now.
Are these refurbished?
oooh! I see now! I found these initailly to be quite painful.
I was however, using it for anal bleaching…I feel so silly.
and also very loose.
My mouth is ready!
I love people that use this kind of at-home quackery and then end up with those blindingly-white Chiclets teeth…

list of things I’m not going to buy on meh
Disappointed that the last picture wasn’t Glen with super white teeth.
I’d be cautious of trusting the Amazon reviews. Reviewmeta estimates about 69% of the reviews are fake: https://reviewmeta.com/amazon/B01GU9YA28
69% fake reviews doesn’t really surprise me, but it’s interesting that when the fake reviews are removed the rating doesn’t change much, it only drops from 4.4 to 4.2 stars.
i’m a dentist–the stuff is glycerine and hydrogen peroxide, heat speeds up the bleach.
this ‘thang’, works just like it would without the magic light. all it ‘might’ do is heat up the bleach, uh, little…
