This always reminds me of some museum that had this available for people that couldn’t come to the museum in person. Can’t remember if it was only for disabled people…
@goldnectar They used to get paid to make these and other creative content, but new videos are few and far between these days. This video is from 2015. I’m not sure what those employees do for the company now if they’re still employed.
We have the exact same robot (Double Robotics) where I work. I came up with the idea of instead of having the robot in the building and people calling into it from outside, let’s have the robot outside the building and have kids in our hospitals dial into it. So we partnered with some local sports teams and let the kids drive it around at games and get to have some fun while they are in the hospital for weeks on end. It’s been rewarding, obviously but also really cool how much local teams have bought into it and give us access and everything we need. Helping these kids have at least a little while that they can forget about all the horrible crap they are going through is fantastic. Technology for the win! Also, shout out to Double Robotics for helping us nonstop. They’ve been great about helping us work through some of the issues with doing this.
There’s one I was looking for where we are out on the field as the players are coming in to start the game but I can’t find it so this will have to do. The teams were great, especially the Tampa Bay Rowdies. Gave us field access, locker access and everything. The kids loved it!
Ha ha ha
The owner of the company where I used to work had something like this. He didn’t use it often that I knew of.

Did it really fall down the stairs though?
Do they get paid to make these silly videos? or is it some hilarious underpaid cubicle monkey that always throws in that “extra effort?”

Is that the new building being rolled through?
@Kidsandliz Sadly, it is but the old building. I have seen Robot Shawn wheeling around the new one, though. Might try videoing it.

@Bingo Very clever idea. What hospital do you work for?
Great idea, then y’all actually followed through and did it.
