@mehdaf This is probably one of the funnier Ask Irk's I've seen - but it is quite cerebral, and it's really too bad that it'll probably fly right over the heads of most of the meh audience. I literally almost laughed myself off my chair. But, I enjoy humor that makes me think. Most probably tuned out at "idiom".
Retire the penny. It costs more than a penny to make a penny. The scrap value of solid (mostly copper) pennies exceeds one cent per penny. The average-wage worker in the U.S. earns more than a penny in the time it takes to pick up a dropped penny. It's stupid to continue to waste money in this manner.
@PocketBrain Pennies haven't been solid copper since about 1982. Though the copper-plated zinc ones are much cheaper to produce, the scrap value of zinc is so minimal as to be worthless. They do still cost a bit more than a penny to produce.
@lumpthar yep, scrap value for zinc is negligible. The reason I mentioned solid scrap value was to make a point about how scrapping them is illegal now, although I forgot to mention that! :-B
Thanks Irk, I always wondered if it was just in my location that everything on Cregslist for my area is listed between new retail to sale price, even items used for several years, FYI if you need to buy some common PS2 games without cases and minor scratches $25 a game let me know!
No comments yet? This was funny! Come on guys... (And gals)

Just my 2 cents worth.
@MrsPavlov Never underestimate your audience ;-)
That was great. Thanks :)
I just figured it was indicative of people overvaluing their own bullshit. Looks like Irk agrees with me.
This was excellent.
It's market research vs. advertising.

@PocketBrain I love CGP Grey!
@PocketBrain That's one way to segue.

@PocketBrain how meta:

Irk just gave the whole nine yards.
This was hysterical. Not the least of which was the name pronunciation. Vol-ka-nique. Still laughing
Brilliant.
It's also worth noting that folks generally give at least twice as much opinion as is ever appropriate.
But that's just my two cents' worth.
