I always thought that embedded Youtube videos didn’t contribute to view counts*, and most people view the Meh videos from the main page. But it appears that’s only true if the video is set to autoplay - if you actually click on it to play it should count as a view.
*I had assumed this was because Youtube is far less likely to play ads on embedded videos, but I pay for Youtube Premium now so I have no idea if that is still true either
