@garyhgaryh Thanks Gary. I was really looking for something more portable, but the Tali is so large it won't exactly fit in a backpack. After my weekend hike it was obvious I need to invest in one of these backpacks for the Phantom/CX-20/Nova. Walking along carrying my quadcopter in my hands, then trying to climb up a 80 foot bluff without dropping it, or slipping and landing on it... it was a challenge. These backpacks can be had on eBay for under $30 with a little last second bid sniping:
@DJMajickMan, I wonder if the insert could be cut a bit to allow for clearance of the battery mounts?
I'm also looking at this as an option. http://store.lowepro.com/droneguard-kit?gclid=COPup533ucUCFc0YHwodtyUA0g Just need to find a way to attach backpack straps to it. and cover the pockets with something to keep stuff from falling out. A towel or something probably could do the trick tucked in there.
@nltownsend843 Is the pack big enough to comfortably fit an adult? That's what I need for the quads. Carrying the Nova into the hills in a plastic bag was precarious at best.
@ruouttaurmind Will an adult fit in it? .....a small one sure, but i think there are dwarf trafficking laws. If your asking if the pack will fit on an adults back, yes it will.
@nltownsend843 haha! Wise guy! Btw can we get a shot at the monitor on the remote? Do you have extended legs on the phantom? I'm tempted to get the backpack and just get the removable prop guards.
@nltownsend843 where did you get that? eBay? Cost? I like that it can hold a monitor equipped remote, but I worry about my extended aftermarket legs and wished it was bigger so I won't have to take off props and its guards.
lol.. blame me making you spend yourself to poverty! BTW, that's a nice case. I'm looking for something that'll hold the p1.1.1 with the prop guards.
I'm looking for something that'll hold the P1.1.1 with the battery mounts and legs extended.

The foam should be able to be cut no problem the main issue I foresee is the length of the legs with the extensions on.
@DJMajickMan Oh, those legs can definitely be cut no problem. ;-)

@DJMajickMan Actually, that's pretty slick for moving from the house to the truck to the park. I like it.
Here is my case:
The foam is easy to cut how you need it, ive got the p1, tx,gimbal, gopro, full fpv system, and enough room for 8 batteries/misc. Cables in mine.

My "extended legs" are a plastic tent stake cut up, its just enough to keep the gimbal off the ground but still fits in the case.
The monitor mount is a ebay cheapie carbon fiber.
The backpack is also ebay buy it now for $40.

@nltownsend843 I like the leg extensions. Simple and cheap. And easy to replace or remove if necessary.
