Well my Instant Regret Kit showed up today … on schedule!
Initial FedEx package details of 1lb and a 6x4x1in box were never updated, which is normally the case for me, being so close in proximity to the meh warehouse.

I’m intrigued…my IRK shipped on April 5th. It’s not scheduled to be delivered until April 13th. I’ve never had an IRK take that long (I’m not complaining, but I am curious)… Has anyone had a much longer than usual duration between IRK shipment and delivery? If so, was the IRK you received atypical in size/scope/contents? I’ve gotten more than a few and for quite a while they have shipped very quickly and arrived very quickly as well which has me wondering…
@iamdmann I’ve had IRKs and other FedEx shipments from Meh wander around the country for up to 11 days. They’re not much faster than the previous PB shippers, but at least they’re honest with their tracking information.

I have the same shipping dates listed as you. I’ve never checked the dates for anything I’ve ever ordered from meh before so I don’t know if it’s different than before. As I’m writing this I’m thinking that my response seems to be just like one of those reviews I read where the person says “IDK, I haven’t received my order yet”! I think as a joke I am going to bring those into the dtrs office next time I go in for blood work and tell them I brought my own supplies just in case. Wonder what their reaction might be? Or fill them with some type of red liquid to carry around. You never know when something like that will come in handy. You can tell it has been a long tax season.

@Kidsandliz You haven’t come up with any ideas what you could do with your poop and pee containers. Am a little nervous about mine as they contain needles. Suppose I could separate the tube part from the part with the needles.
@Kidsandliz Actually had one of my parrot’s toilet trained so when I told him to make he did so even if he had to go a little bit. Walter is somewhat trained-he holds it all in at night and when I take him out in the morning, and he put him on his play gym he unloads a large quantity of stored up stuff.
Also when he decides to climb down from the cage and go looking for us in the house, he always leaves a little present in the same general area near the dining room table. Have seen him climb down from the cage, go and make in the dinning room area and then climb back up his cage so that is obviously his spot. Luckily it is on wood laminate and not carpeting.

@ybmuG We get around the erasability issue for fridge and freezer containers by using masking tape and a Sharpie to label them. You can get rolls of six different colors of the tape fairly cheap, allowing specific labeled items to be more rapidly sorted.
Also got really excited that I was going to be swimming in 40lbs of pasta, but then I felt the weight of the box. Think I’ve got around 10lbs left…

@n3uka Same here mine had been a delivery date of Sat but last update is it left Olathe early Fri am and nothing since. At one point it said out for delivery yesterday (which I thought odd since it didn’t even show it made it to my city) then it changed to Pending and hasn’t changed since.

There was even a shiny commemorative medal/coin made! It got tense, and dark, and hilarious, and dare I say buffoonish before it was over?

Meh sent coins in IRKs a couple years ago. I didn’t get any and was bummed. Then a really nice member sent me two. I of course then got an IRK that had like 30 coins and then the coins pretty much stopped.
And I would fight you for the table. I also love it. If you saw the whole thing you would see the base of the tree. Sorry.

@jayman007@NoIRK I usually use my computer but just tried my Android phone using Chrome and confirmed what you said @jayman007. I did find a solution though too! If you swipe to the top and click the 3 vertical dots on the right you’ll get a menu; scroll down to where it says “Desktop site” and click the box. The page should reload and then when you click the “Reply” arrow you’ll see the box shown below. Click the highlighted region and you can then upload your photos. Just uncheck the box you checked earlier to return to your regular version of the site.
@jayman007 I have a galaxy note 10+, sometimes ill click the 3 dots in the top right corner, and click the box that says “desktop site”, and it’ll load the page the same as you’d see on a computer.

Oh boy, so for the RBX massager I didn’t read the manual or look at the box, so I was wondering to myself ‘how the hell does it massage in such a tiny thing that wraps around the neck???’. I turned it on, and felt it wasn’t doing anything, so I turned up the intensity. Still nothing. I thought ‘well maybe there’s like a pressure sensor to detect if it’s worn before turning on’, so I pressed each pad with a thumb… and had a very shocking surprise because APPARENTLY IT’S A TENS MASSAGER, and I just sent like max power from thumb to thumb, and made them numb and my pinkies hurt. RTFM with random IRK junk you get I guess.

It could be a work bag that you don’t really care about. When I worked i always carried a big bag to bring my lunch, water and whatever else and it always got shoved in my drawer so it had to be something I didn’t care if it got wrecked.

Well, this was an interesting IRK. The place holder said 1 lb and a package size of 6x4x1. The actual package was 20x16x1 and weighed 14.4 lbs. In addition, it had a USPS tracking number, but minus the first two digits it arrived via Fed-Ex after a seven-day trek. It was definitely worth the wait!

Was really excited for an extra pair of earbuds, a neck massager to test, and a digital photo frame…until I tried them out. Earbuds charge and pair, but constantly buzz in the background…pass. The neck massager beeps a lot with batteries inserted, but no massage in sight. The frame does a whole lot of nothing when plugged in…guess I’ll stare into the void and be happy about it.

Ran outside after the telltale ‘whump’ of a FedEx package on my doorstep early this afternoon, and it was a sizable one this time. All of the goods were stuffed into a well-packaged Dremel 3D printer that was possibly used by Mediocre Labs…err…Mercatalyst employees, as evidenced by some files loaded on an included flash drive. Anyways, it was a great haul:
-Used Dremel 3D40 printer and attached 8GB flash drive with some generic and Meh-related 3D prints. Already produced a sample frog and Meh coin!
-A small box of 20-something TrackR pixels. Perhaps I can harvest the batteries since the service appears to be defunct.

Glad it’s feeling better. Hopefully your shoulder turns out better than mine did. Do the exercises. Mine is permanently slanted forwarded (it protrudes farther than the other and Is noticeable different especially when I’m wearing a tank top. It also makes it harder to stand up straight). I also have a lot of nerve damage on that side and they didn’t find out the extent of it till after. They said they would have had me do different exercises to strengthen it and possibly a brace. Im done with surgery at this point unless absolutely necessary and drs won’t do major operations on me bc of the past complications I’ve had during and from surgery.

My first shoulder surgery the dr didn’t hook up the pain pump correctly so I wasn’t getting any pain medicine. I had to go back to the hospital that same day and have them put it in but while I was awake. They couldn’t give me anything for sedation or pain bc I had just got out of surgery that morning, wasn’t checked into the hospital and still had all the anesthesia shit in my system. I don’t know if you had the pain pump for the first couple days but that wire runs from your shoulder to your spine and I had to lay completely still to not damage me. It took six people, 3 hospital security men, two nurses and my mom holding me down with all their strength for the dr to get that pump in. My mom said even the big men were struggling and I’m 5’3” and at the time was probably 125. It was absolutely horrible, I screamed bloody murder from the top of my lungs for the 15-20 mins it took. I remember the dr stopping a few times bc people were walking in (were in an area that was supposed to be closed for the night) and telling people that everything okay bc they could hear my screaming from other parts of the hospital. It’s funny what you remember.

@OldCatLady hope they can fix you without going through torture. Reading this is talking me out of going back to the orthopedist to discuss the two partial tendon tears at my left ankle (fell last June) that he said would need surgery if they were still swollen 6 mo later (umm no I am giving them a year just to be “safe” as I really, really, really don’t want any more surgery ever again in my life. Ever.).
A pain pump that doesn’t work I think likely will create PTSD if the pain goes on long enough. When they studied soldiers wounded in the field, those who got immediate adequate pain meds were far less likely to develop PTSD than those who did not. Agonizing pain does that.
I have had horrific pain twice from surgery (well 3 times if you count shingles in 5 nerve roots with pain for 6 or so months). Once the pain pump didn’t work and the nurses didn’t believe me until the next shift when the level hadn’t drop and I was asked why I wasn’t using it (this was immediately after surgery). Umm no not dropping as it is broken and I am in a lot of pain.
The other time when the dumb ass resident stopped the pain meds 18 hours after an incredibly painful reconstructive cancer surgery because he didn’t want me to get “addicted” (surgeon was out of town and when he came back he yelled, in my hearing, at the resident). Gave me only Tylenol. The surgeon said I’d be on duladid (sp?) for 3-4 days and then morphine for maybe a few more. They were finally started back up 3 days later when for those 3 days I refused to get out of bed or do anything else because moving even slightly was agonizing. It took the night nurse going over the head of the resident to get me adequate pain control. Do not ever want surgery again due to that.
My third grade teacher will be thrilled that I understand context clues in write-ups. The B.ó.C. pocketbook was just screaming at me during Mehrathon that it was more than just a pocketbook. And it WAS! I am beyond excited cause I am not competitive enough to snag real IRKs against the pros on here.

Just bend it back in place as much as you can since the outer case is just to control waste heat, and do a test run on fries or leftover pizza. It’s the oven-style air fryers that are the real shit; the tray-style pale in comparison.

Someone over at Meh HQ had some…uh… fun(?) here… because this appears to be highly modified version of a standard “DanDee” doll.
I seem to remember some creepy ass dolls popping up on Meh in the past… either during mehrathons or in other IRKs… but I was not prepared to receive one and it’s going to take years of therapy to undo the trauma I experienced when I sliced open that little box to find a tiny decrepit doll haphazardly shoved inside. It started playing music as I pulled it out of its cardboard sarcophagus. I hadn’t even wound it up. This thing is nightmare fuel and I need to spend a few hours googling to figure out the appropriate way to dispose of this so as to not conjure up any additional demon dolls.

@gemi27ss Check your FedEx tracking info under “Shipment Facts” and see if the weight of your package is close to what they say it should be. Then you’ll be able to tell if something got “lost” (stolen?) along the way.

@gemi27ss@IndifferentDude The size never gets updated during tracking, but the weight should. However, sometimes it doesn’t change until the shipper is billed, and that apparently doesn’t always feed back to the tracking data, since the billing happens after delivery.

@Kidsandliz I haven’t owned a pair of headphones in a decade, but use my AirPods daily. If you can unload the N100bs, it’d probably be a good thing to do.
I think they sound okay; but, if you’re even the slightest bit an audiophile, you probably won’t.
For reference, I think my AirPods (2nd gen) sound okay and these sounded much better but that was probably more due to being 1) wired and 2) over the ear so that I could hear the detail in higher res audio.

Well my Instant Regret Kit showed up today … on schedule!

I’m intrigued…my IRK shipped on April 5th. It’s not scheduled to be delivered until April 13th. I’ve never had an IRK take that long (I’m not complaining, but I am curious)… Has anyone had a much longer than usual duration between IRK shipment and delivery? If so, was the IRK you received atypical in size/scope/contents? I’ve gotten more than a few and for quite a while they have shipped very quickly and arrived very quickly as well which has me wondering…
@iamdmann I’ve had IRKs and other FedEx shipments from Meh wander around the country for up to 11 days. They’re not much faster than the previous PB shippers, but at least they’re honest with their tracking information.
@iamdmann on the other hand, the action camera I bought during the Mehrathon was delivered Thursday!
But my Irk is scheduled for next Tuesday …

I think as a joke I am going to bring those into the dtrs office next time I go in for blood work and tell them I brought my own supplies just in case. Wonder what their reaction might be? Or fill them with some type of red liquid to carry around. You never know when something like that will come in handy. You can tell it has been a long tax season.

@Kidsandliz Actually had one of my parrot’s toilet trained so when I told him to make he did so even if he had to go a little bit. Walter is somewhat trained-he holds it all in at night and when I take him out in the morning, and he put him on his play gym he unloads a large quantity of stored up stuff.
Also when he decides to climb down from the cage and go looking for us in the house, he always leaves a little present in the same general area near the dining room table. Have seen him climb down from the cage, go and make in the dinning room area and then climb back up his cage so that is obviously his spot. Luckily it is on wood laminate and not carpeting.

@ybmuG We get around the erasability issue for fridge and freezer containers by using masking tape and a Sharpie to label them. You can get rolls of six different colors of the tape fairly cheap, allowing specific labeled items to be more rapidly sorted.

@n3uka I hate to get my hopes up, but I had a notification this morning that my IRK’s on a FedEx vehicle for delivery. Looks like FedEx decided to upgrade it to direct delivery rather than hand it off to the post office.

There was even a shiny commemorative medal/coin made! It got tense, and dark, and hilarious, and dare I say buffoonish before it was over?

I’d be ecstatic if I got a toothbrush bag. Really really ecstatic if I got the whole kit. Even though it was before my time, I still really, really want want the kit, I’d wear that tee with pride. Sorry I checked the coins and I don’t have what you are looking for. The coins I have are in the 3000’s and 4000’s.
Meh sent coins in IRKs a couple years ago. I didn’t get any and was bummed. Then a really nice member sent me two. I of course then got an IRK that had like 30 coins and then the coins pretty much stopped.
And I would fight you for the table. I also love it. If you saw the whole thing you would see the base of the tree. Sorry.

@jayman007 @NoIRK I usually use my computer but just tried my Android phone using Chrome and confirmed what you said @jayman007. I did find a solution though too! If you swipe to the top and click the 3 vertical dots on the right you’ll get a menu; scroll down to where it says “Desktop site” and click the box. The page should reload and then when you click the “Reply” arrow you’ll see the box shown below. Click the highlighted region and you can then upload your photos. Just uncheck the box you checked earlier to return to your regular version of the site.

Oh boy, so for the RBX massager I didn’t read the manual or look at the box, so I was wondering to myself ‘how the hell does it massage in such a tiny thing that wraps around the neck???’. I turned it on, and felt it wasn’t doing anything, so I turned up the intensity. Still nothing. I thought ‘well maybe there’s like a pressure sensor to detect if it’s worn before turning on’, so I pressed each pad with a thumb… and had a very shocking surprise because APPARENTLY IT’S A TENS MASSAGER, and I just sent like max power from thumb to thumb, and made them numb and my pinkies hurt. RTFM with random IRK junk you get I guess.

My IRK arrived today in a PastaDrop box! Woohoo! No pasta inside though… Instead I got 1 3-pack of Minx socks, 1 leather coin purse, 1 instacharge power bank - the microUSB - USB-C adapter is probably the most useful part for me. 1 Wall Pops “Precious baby boy sent from heaven” wall sticker (sadly no insulin to go with this oh so twee and cloying image) 1 black IRK bag to add to my collection, and an iHome LED desk lamp/wireless charger. Will be handy at the office if I ever choose to work there rather than from home again. Neither the best, nor the worst… Guess that makes it meh.

Well, this was an interesting IRK. The place holder said 1 lb and a package size of 6x4x1. The actual package was 20x16x1 and weighed 14.4 lbs. In addition, it had a USPS tracking number, but minus the first two digits it arrived via Fed-Ex after a seven-day trek. It was definitely worth the wait!

Was really excited for an extra pair of earbuds, a neck massager to test, and a digital photo frame…until I tried them out. Earbuds charge and pair, but constantly buzz in the background…pass. The neck massager beeps a lot with batteries inserted, but no massage in sight. The frame does a whole lot of nothing when plugged in…guess I’ll stare into the void and be happy about it.
On the positive side, the white noise machine is very nice and functional, guess I’ll save some phone battery at night.

Ran outside after the telltale ‘whump’ of a FedEx package on my doorstep early this afternoon, and it was a sizable one this time. All of the goods were stuffed into a well-packaged Dremel 3D printer that was possibly used by Mediocre Labs…err…Mercatalyst employees, as evidenced by some files loaded on an included flash drive. Anyways, it was a great haul:
-Used Dremel 3D40 printer and attached 8GB flash drive with some generic and Meh-related 3D prints. Already produced a sample frog and Meh coin!
-A small box of 20-something TrackR pixels. Perhaps I can harvest the batteries since the service appears to be defunct.

A Vankyo Leisure 410 projector, a sound/sleep machine (lulled me into sleep last night a week after shoulder surgery), a vent mounted cellphone holder that looks up to the task, a ladies watch, one set of thermal underwear (XL) to be donated, Alpha Earbuds, ladies shirt with a $36 price tag (claimed by kid), shaker bottle also claimed by kid, two packs of Zakarian markers, and a chocolate brown IRK bag. How’s the recovery from the shoulder surgery going? I’ve had 2 and my shoulders not the same.

Glad it’s feeling better. Hopefully your shoulder turns out better than mine did. Do the exercises. Mine is permanently slanted forwarded (it protrudes farther than the other and Is noticeable different especially when I’m wearing a tank top. It also makes it harder to stand up straight). I also have a lot of nerve damage on that side and they didn’t find out the extent of it till after. They said they would have had me do different exercises to strengthen it and possibly a brace. Im done with surgery at this point unless absolutely necessary and drs won’t do major operations on me bc of the past complications I’ve had during and from surgery.

My first shoulder surgery the dr didn’t hook up the pain pump correctly so I wasn’t getting any pain medicine. I had to go back to the hospital that same day and have them put it in but while I was awake. They couldn’t give me anything for sedation or pain bc I had just got out of surgery that morning, wasn’t checked into the hospital and still had all the anesthesia shit in my system. I don’t know if you had the pain pump for the first couple days but that wire runs from your shoulder to your spine and I had to lay completely still to not damage me. It took six people, 3 hospital security men, two nurses and my mom holding me down with all their strength for the dr to get that pump in. My mom said even the big men were struggling and I’m 5’3” and at the time was probably 125. It was absolutely horrible, I screamed bloody murder from the top of my lungs for the 15-20 mins it took. I remember the dr stopping a few times bc people were walking in (were in an area that was supposed to be closed for the night) and telling people that everything okay bc they could hear my screaming from other parts of the hospital. It’s funny what you remember.

@OldCatLady hope they can fix you without going through torture. Reading this is talking me out of going back to the orthopedist to discuss the two partial tendon tears at my left ankle (fell last June) that he said would need surgery if they were still swollen 6 mo later (umm no I am giving them a year just to be “safe” as I really, really, really don’t want any more surgery ever again in my life. Ever.).
A pain pump that doesn’t work I think likely will create PTSD if the pain goes on long enough. When they studied soldiers wounded in the field, those who got immediate adequate pain meds were far less likely to develop PTSD than those who did not. Agonizing pain does that.
I have had horrific pain twice from surgery (well 3 times if you count shingles in 5 nerve roots with pain for 6 or so months). Once the pain pump didn’t work and the nurses didn’t believe me until the next shift when the level hadn’t drop and I was asked why I wasn’t using it (this was immediately after surgery). Umm no not dropping as it is broken and I am in a lot of pain.
The other time when the dumb ass resident stopped the pain meds 18 hours after an incredibly painful reconstructive cancer surgery because he didn’t want me to get “addicted” (surgeon was out of town and when he came back he yelled, in my hearing, at the resident). Gave me only Tylenol. The surgeon said I’d be on duladid (sp?) for 3-4 days and then morphine for maybe a few more. They were finally started back up 3 days later when for those 3 days I refused to get out of bed or do anything else because moving even slightly was agonizing. It took the night nurse going over the head of the resident to get me adequate pain control. Do not ever want surgery again due to that.
My third grade teacher will be thrilled that I understand context clues in write-ups. The B.ó.C. pocketbook was just screaming at me during Mehrathon that it was more than just a pocketbook. And it WAS! I am beyond excited cause I am not competitive enough to snag real IRKs against the pros on here.

@braveit1 My first air fryer was also a dented box item at less than half the price. Just bend it back in place as much as you can since the outer case is just to control waste heat, and do a test run on fries or leftover pizza. It’s the oven-style air fryers that are the real shit; the tray-style pale in comparison.

I opened the box to find a pretty standard set of instant regret:
That mystery box was like an IRK within an IRK… but worse. Wait. No, it was actually like an Instant Terror Kit… an ITK.
WHAT IN SWEET HELL IS THIS?
DEAR GOD. IT PLAYS TERRIFYING MUSIC AND ITS BUTT IS LEAKING.
Someone over at Meh HQ had some…uh… fun(?) here… because this appears to be highly modified version of a standard “DanDee” doll.
I seem to remember some creepy ass dolls popping up on Meh in the past… either during mehrathons or in other IRKs… but I was not prepared to receive one and it’s going to take years of therapy to undo the trauma I experienced when I sliced open that little box to find a tiny decrepit doll haphazardly shoved inside. It started playing music as I pulled it out of its cardboard sarcophagus. I hadn’t even wound it up. This thing is nightmare fuel and I need to spend a few hours googling to figure out the appropriate way to dispose of this so as to not conjure up any additional demon dolls.
Thanks for nothing, Meh. I’ll send you my therapy bills.

@gemi27ss Check your FedEx tracking info under “Shipment Facts” and see if the weight of your package is close to what they say it should be. Then you’ll be able to tell if something got “lost” (stolen?) along the way.

6/4/1 inches. Pretty sure that’s the place holder weight and size. The box was much bigger then that:)
@gemi27ss @IndifferentDude The size never gets updated during tracking, but the weight should. However, sometimes it doesn’t change until the shipper is billed, and that apparently doesn’t always feed back to the tracking data, since the billing happens after delivery.

First time I managed to snag an IRK and been trying to get one since the BoC days. Did not disappoint because I did instantly regret it.

I also received a pair of headphones from Verisonix (N100b) that are apparently worth about $50?
Overall, not bad. Plus, the headphones were at the very bottom so they were a nice surprise.
@meh_ruck identical to mine. I haven’t opened the headphones yet . If you use yours tell me if they are worth keeping to use. They must want to piss on me more than you as I got 3 specimen jars.
@Kidsandliz I haven’t owned a pair of headphones in a decade, but use my AirPods daily. If you can unload the N100bs, it’d probably be a good thing to do.
I think they sound okay; but, if you’re even the slightest bit an audiophile, you probably won’t.
For reference, I think my AirPods (2nd gen) sound okay and these sounded much better but that was probably more due to being 1) wired and 2) over the ear so that I could hear the detail in higher res audio.
