April Fools Day is not a holiday! It was fun with puerile jokes-activities in junior high (yes, that is what we called it back then) and has no relevance now (unless it is very clever and not nasty or demeaning).
I didn’t mean to imply that I suffered a personal loss. My message was that Coronavirus has upended life in the U.S. so much, that this year we should all take a break from April Fools pranks. Stay healthy everyone.
@chuckf1 there are plenty of wholesome, non-contact pranks to be played. Some of them are even uplifting. But if it’s not going to somehow better their day, then yeah, hard pass.
some can be funny (including those by brands) but mostly it’s just a bunch of unfunny mean spirited people yelling “haha we lied and you believed us, hilarious!” which isn’t for me. i usually take this day off from the internet and humanity in general. (starting after i click the meh button, of course.)
My VP at work loves April fools day and always does something.
I’m curious to see what he has planned as a prank via teleconference at 3:30 this afternoon.
This whole year has been an April fool’s joke. We don’t need others.
My last Meh purchase? April 1st 2019 for an IRK.
My next purchase? Just now for an IRK

I remember a time when April Fools was fun, when people had a sense of humor.
@hchavers Then McHales Navy went off the air.
@cranky1950 That gave me a good hearty lol. Enough to make my BF get up and ask what I’m laughing about, at 5 am.
This is not the year to be playing April Fool’s jokes on other people, for any reason whatsoever.
@chuckf1 I feel sorry for you. Condolences on your personal loss.
@chuckf1 On the most part agreed, but some pranks can be fun, silly, and no-contact involved.

@jerk_nugget
I’m not going to bring this day to the attention of my children for this reason.
3 fucking captchas to vote on a lame ass poll i should have passed on anyway wtf
@irishbyblood You should buy VMP it turns off the Captchas.
As a fellow robot, I understand your pain.
@cranky1950 @irishbyblood No it doesn’t turn them completely off. I got them for the irk and also on some other sites I didn’t usually get them on.
@irishbyblood @Kidsandliz Ruin my prank why dontcha.
I love this day because I can’t get anyone angry since I’m Just Observing a Holiday! after all!
My first IRK! I feel so ashamed and regretful now.

Apparently coronavirus has even spoiled April fools. What a let down.
Ok I’m in
