@mediocrebot In case anyone wants to know, IPS monitors are good for photography and graphic design, because the color and contrast doesn't shift much when viewing it at an angle.
@haydesigner I just wanted to brag about all my TVs. Plus I didn't read the description - as the writeup instructed. Be careful what u wish for, @jasontoon!
@haydesigner Bring your Hot Wheels collection over and my collection of Glow Worms can play with them. While we watch my 8 TVs. BOOM! I out-losered you! :) You are welcome.
@Kidsandliz I gotta say - having a TV in the bathroom is NICE. I draw a hot bubble bath, turn the TV to Walking Dead, watch Daryl be sweaty & tough, yet sensitive. Life is GOOD.
Meh makes me weep with joy that there are still great writers in the world. (All the shitty ones are on Yahoo. Both the article writers, and the commenters.
@Dankk I absolutely love mine. I originally got it for my computer but after i saw how great the colors were and that the size was pretty compact i started using it to play ps4 games on it beside my 52 which i use for Netflix while i game.
The color and contrast beat out the bigger screen by a huge margin so i actually prefer it this way.
@Vargas While, not only do i like the background noise, it keeps me in the same room as my wife rather than holed up in my office etc. i dont do fps or major multiplayer things som i rarely need a headset. I play mostly rpgs where i can easilly use subtitles
I think we need a like button for @JasonToon's write-up. I would have clicked it today for sure. Read every word to the end, in spite of the warnings and grossness.
Here's a vivid image of a pristine slice of springy white Wonder Bread, with a gleaming butterknife carefully spreading human feces all over it. Did that do the trick?
No but then I got curious and googled it. I feel like a terrible person for sharing, so you know, if you wanna see a turd on a piece of white bread then click at your own risk. I could just link the actual image but I feel like I might possibly be crossing a line I don't want to cross if I did.
@shortman The detailed review link I posted just under the write up at the top of the page does comment about text. "This relatively low resolution on such a large screen means there is a 0.311mm pixel pitch and the text appears large as a result. This might be good for those with any kind of eye sight issues, and for those who prefer a larger text size for a lot of web and text based work. However, you need to consider that this same 1920 x 1080 resolution can be found on small screens as well, including 21.5" diagonal models. On screens that size the resolution is arguably a little too high and text is a little too small, but on a 27" diagonal sized screen I personally think it is too low. The screen is certainly comfortable for a lot of text reading, but it just doesn't look quite as sharp and crisp as a higher resolution equivalent. You do also really miss the desktop real-estate when coming from a 2560 x 1440 screen to this." http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/aoc_i2757fm.htm
@shortman Yes. This type of monitor was passed by several years ago. The standard for larger (24" and up) monitors is 2560 x 1440. In other words: this gets a really big "meh"
this isn't a TV. i need a new TV for the super bowl. chances are at this rate it wouldn't arrive in time anyway. way to go meh, you dropped the ball on a prime opportunity to sell me a TV. I guess that means @JasonToon fails twice. cause i totally read the whole thing.
@BootlegCraig Been considering a 4K. How well does regular HD media scale up? DVD on HDTV looks terrible, and without a substantial amount of 4K media, I'm wary of jumping in too early.
@jaypeeh The description says "Warranty - 90 Days AOC"...that means that AOC, the manufacturer, refurbished them. Otherwise it would say "90 days Meh" (or someone other than AOC).
If only it were for sale in a few weeks after my income tax refund arrives and the money will be burning a hole in my wallet trying to get out. I'm still catching up from overspending at Christmas. I'd shell out for this monitor any day after (hell, I really need a pair of them)! I do a lot of photo / video work, this would be soooo f'ing awesome. Just. Not. Right. Now. Can't. Push. The. Buy. Button. . . . . I better go find a $10 deal somewhere else just so I can click "buy" and get my fix.
I'm getting the shakes.
Damn DoD Websites are like crack. And that's whack.
@Pavlov shoulda clicked Buy yesterday for the 10 buck plastic lunch bucket toys. That woulda been the anti-click-buy-serum once they arrived. For a few days anyway.
I have the 23 inch version of this monitor. Perfectly adequate monitor, but I don't use it much anymore. I'd want Vesa mounts on it if I were to buy another monitor. I can't stick 3 of them on my Obutto desks without Vesa mounts. I switched to a Dell 24 inch instead because it did have the Vesa mounts. The AOC is now relegated to the monitor I take with me on trips.
One side note, you can take the bottom part of the stand off, and it has rubber feet along the front edge of the monitor frame, and leans back on that stubby little leg that mounts into the stand. You can make the thing sit directly on the desk that way at a variety of angles. Probably the main saving grace of that line of monitors.
I was feeling old for not knowing the musical references, but then I did a search, and I don't think I was designed to hear those particular songs, but now I can impress the people in the office with offspring of the Smith and Trace Adkins knowledge! ...oooorrrr I'm Saturday drunk, and I purchased one of these danged things.

@unixrab Nice. Thanks. I'll go left, you go right. My wife says she'd turn around and go back from whence she came. No sense of adventure in her sometimes.
@mcanavino Ah ha! I see what you did there, even if it did take me a Google search or two (or four) to figure it out. Now, off to the dark tower with you! Fetch me one of these famed cereal bowls. You are making me feel under-educated and hungry.
@Fen_Star Not frameless, but it doesn't have a bezel on 3 of the sides. The glass goes to the edge. My 23" AOC bezel-less monitor was about $130 when I bought it a couple years ago. But yeah, I think I would have bought this one right away at $100-$130, it would have been a less convenient travel monitor, but a nicer to use one.
Own it, love it. Less IPS glow that many others, the backlight bleed is very minimal compared to others, input lag and response time are excellent for an IPS and allow for even FPS gaming (still 60hz though). Overall it's a sweet monitor for those who want to game, play movies, do color detail work, or anythig else.
So, I hate to say this, but woot has samsung same size same type of minotrs for 200. I dont have 200 bucks a pop to drop on more monitors but if I did I'd go with the samsungs. This made me meh
Didn't need write up to make me stop reading, but got through the first sentence just for grins. This isn't just "meh", it's "bleh". But, seems like the weekend offerings almost aren't worth the effort to click lately.
I bought a refurbished AOC monitor from that other site once. It did not include a desk stand. After a couple week wait for the part, it lasted just past the warranty period and died.
It took Meh so long to ship my Built NY cases, that I'm hoping one of these was tossed in for good measure... I could sew together a bunch of kindle cases, attach a car battery to this, and possibly have the worlds largest tablet? Trying to kill two birds here guys.. Work with me.
@andrewkl The smaller AOC monitors designed for external power bricks work fine off of a 12 volt battery, so this one probably will too. You could use a Raspberry Pi for your tablet brain, but turning this into a touchscreen will take some effort.
Bought a refurbished AOC monitor in October. Arrived broken. AOC won't support. MEH has not replaced it or refunded my money yet. (Busy over Holidays.)
I bought this but got a different AOC monitor. Anyone else experience this? I contacted Meh already. I don't know if it was an accident or them trying to pull a fast one on me.
@varyable He was trying to help you. Especially by linking back to the staff comment that explained that this mistake was unintentional and that meh would like to work this out with you. Name calling won't get your problem solved, contacting meh.com/support might help though. FYI - they are insanely backed up right now and will take several business days to get back to you. To help expedite the process, please include a pic link to what you did receive.
@Thumperchick cool story i didn't click his thing and i didn't read all that crap you wrote. Post more shit i dont care about please because now I'm getting amused by you people. Ha ha lol derrr
@Thumperchick thanks for letting me know about reaching out to customer service, i didn't know about doing things like that. Can you help me tie my shoes to?
@varyable you mad bro? you are apparently not aware that it is possible to be smarter than everyone and not also be an asshole? you might want to give that a try.
When I submit support request I get the "Aw snap..." error every time the last few days. The only other option on the page is "discuss".
I received a E2752VH instead of the I2757FH. It is a much lower quality monitor (not even IPS) and has a much different look (thick frame instead of frameless).
I received a much lower quality monitor than the one meh promised.
We're still getting to the bottom of this issue after catching up from the weekend and I'll have more information for you tomorrow, sorry for all the trouble.
Okay, you tech types - I need some direction here. I bought 2 of these for an engineer's desktop. I know the $119 is a terrific bargain for a 27" monitor, but I need something that gives my co-worker the ability to get up close and personal with drawings and blueprints. Will the monitors I received be as good for the application as those I actually ordered? (and, come to think of it, we'll probably see a meh offering on the original item for the same [or lower] price in the next few weeks, won't we?)
@texquill The biggest difference between the two models, is that the first model (the one you originally bought) uses a nicer IPS panel. The cheaper model they actually shipped out is a TN panel. A quick google search will explain this in much more detail, but basically: IPS panels offer higher color quality and wider viewing angles. TN panels, while not quite as nice, still look good and are sufficient for the vast majority of people. If you're co-worker does very color-sensitive work such as photography or video editing, then send back the monitors you recieved and get the higher-quality IPS monitors. Otherwise, it's not a big deal. The two models are pretty similar otherwise. They're both 27" and 1080p.
I don't recieve my 2 monitors until tomorrow, but I've already contacted Meh's support team under the pretense that they are the wrong models. It's a bit of a bummer, but ah well. I do want those IPS panels. Look forward to getting this sorted out.
I was emailed with two options. Keep the monitor they sent in error and get a $75 refund...or return the item and get the monitor you actually ordered.
I do think it is poor taste that those that choose the "return" option get nothing for the inconvienence of taking the time to send it back and still have to wait for the item they paid for originally. Not even a "free shipping" code for future use.
@cjsutherland There's no harm in asking for a free coupon code (or VMP as it would probably be)- depending on their mood and your interactions with them up to this point, you might get something.
@dashcloud Meh. I hear you but I do not like how the situation was handled as a whole. I think if you add extra work for the customer and are going to have them waiting a week or weeks later than they originally anticipated than something should be done about that. I bought this monitor from Meh instead of Woot not because it was $6 cheaper, but because I wanted to support the website. I have not been a fan of the way Woot has progressed over the years. With that said, I would gladly pay the extra $6 for the better customer service. We were basically told that if we did not want to keep the wrong monitor and get $75 refund then suck it up, do more work, and wait longer...Sometimes doing something, even small, shows you care. "It's the small things that count." Meh indeed.
@cjsutherland i completely agree. Fuck all these fanboys that waste their life on this site sucking their dicks because they have nothing better going on. Run a decent business and get your shit straight. ...
Did anyone get their replacement monitor yet (or a tracking#)? Fedex delivered the return monitor to Meh a week ago and I haven't received any response to my last couple of emails requesting a shipment update...
@vbest I emailed them about that. They said that we will recieve an email when the replacement monitor is sent out. Maybe I am being nitpicky, but I don't feel I should have to email the company to find out the logistics of the product I purchased almost a month ago. Meh.
Update: I emailed Meh.com concerning the return as I had not recieved any notification or updates since I mailed the wrong monitor back.
I was told we would recieve notification when the proper monitor was sent. That was a week ago. Tomorrow marks two weeks since it was returned. I am in San Antonio and the center it was sent back to is in Texas.
My first purchase with Meh.com has been a resounding "1 star experience."
To sum it up:
Thanks for buying the wrong monitor. Please take time out of your day to contact Meh.com, print out a return label [after correspondence], either drive it to a FedEx location or schedule a pickup, and wait [at least] almost a month for the product you actually purchased.
...and for our trouble we get, the equivalent, of a middle finger as nothing has been offered to us as customers. Hell, we even have to email the company to follow up with the return process.
My first, and last, purchase. I can promise that. Hope you all had, and have, a better experience.
Dear Lord, please let it work when it gets here so I can wipe my hands of this.

@HELLOALICE Agreed. My brother prefers IPS for accurate color. I prefer non-IPS for cheaper price and faster speed.
We bought Acer K272HULbmiidp Black 27" WQHD 6ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor IPS DCR 100,000,000:1(1,000:1) Built-in Speakers at Newegg $300
Acer is better brand than AOC. We paid $300 for new 27" 2560x1440 IPS.
Good luck trying to sell refurbished AOC 27" 1920x1080 IPS for $194.
meh
Sweet i've always wanted one of.. meh.

@tomvarela I couldn't agree more!
@tomvarela what soundbar?
@tomvarela soundbar must be the new secret word.
@stevo42 See, you missed it too!
@tomvarela I thought the EXACT same thing. That looked like a deal.

Sorry @JasonToon, I read it to the end. Failure.

@Jetlag that would be Molson in plastic bags. sorry.
I own 8 tvs already. I ran out of rooms to put them in so i started putting them in bathrooms. Don't need it - no matter how cheap or how big. Meh.
@pepsiwine it is a monitor, not a tv.
@haydesigner I just wanted to brag about all my TVs. Plus I didn't read the description - as the writeup instructed. Be careful what u wish for, @jasontoon!
@pepsiwine… Not a prob. I like to brag about my rad Hot Wheels collection. Wait… maybe I shouldn't anymore…
@haydesigner Bring your Hot Wheels collection over and my collection of Glow Worms can play with them. While we watch my 8 TVs. BOOM! I out-losered you! :) You are welcome.
@pepsiwine Ran out of room? Send one to me it is a problem. My newest is a 1993 with converter box LOL

Another Utah purchase, for the record.
@jemullins netflix while gaming? Is that inbetween matches of online multiplayer, or at the same time?

Write up reminded me of the Sesame Street children's book, "There's a Monster at the End of This Book". Does anyone remember that one? Just me?
@ACraigL Please do not turn the page!
@ACraigL That's exactly what I thought of. I wouldn't doubt it being an inspiration, considering the puppets and all.
@ACraigL Ahh, I have this book packed in one of the boxes of my childhood stuff somewhere. Definitely reminded me of it too!
@ACraigL… the iOS app of that book is FANTASTIC. Seriously.
@haydesigner oh damn that might actually make me buy an iPad

1920x1080 in 27" isn't that too little resolution for the size? Ok for TV, not so much for up close computer use.
@shortman The detailed review link I posted just under the write up at the top of the page does comment about text. @aaronhardman99 Monitors normally only have a vga cable. Hdmi cables are cheap at mono price.
First 3 were all sold in Utah. That's an in for three I just don't understand.
@ianimal Gotta get one for the Missuses!
@Thumperchick
@JasonToon tell us more about the foot. Why was it swollen? Do you have pictures?
My eyesight is still too good for such a large monitor with such low pixel count. Meh.
Are you selling any of the foot fluid?
Who refurbished these? I've been reconditioned to ask this whenever I don't see "manufacturer" or "factory" before the word "refurbished."
@jaypeeh Definitely. There's been some pretty meh refurbishees.
@jaypeeh Meh just bought twice as many and mixed and matched useful and broken parts. Maybe. Probably.

@RedOak I did exactly this... okay I lied, I did it for the folding spoon. :Z I'm not ashamed anymore!

WOW! Utah is kicking ass in sales.. It's the only BLACK spot on the map.. It's only been like 15 minutes and 4 has already been sold.. You GO Utah!!

@unkabob wow, major hitchhiker thumbs
@unkabob I see this gif a lot. I honestly don't know who that is, but she looks like a very long day.
@tightwad..@Headly... From what the web site said, this is Christina Aguilera (whoever that is).. Headly? Any kin to Harvey Korman..?

Fart.
@shabazz18
@unixrab do you smell popcorn?
@mikibell worst smelling popcorn evar
You lost me at 1080p.
Then again, I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting.
2757 - 2012 yr
2769 - 2013 yr
2777 - 2014 yr version
2777 have more thin flame-thin inner bezel, flicker free, and PIP.
But some review say 2757 is better screen quality like readability and color than newer version.
Meh, but good writeup.
You need Wheat bread, not white bread, its healthier and I would think if you could use a butter knife, try more fiber.
Needs more 2560x1440 at least for me to be interested. Meh.
Didn't need write up to make me stop reading, but got through the first sentence just for grins. This isn't just "meh", it's "bleh". But, seems like the weekend offerings almost aren't worth the effort to click lately.
6 years ago I bought a 24" Dell monitor with 1920 x 1200 resolution. This monitor is 3" bigger, yet has lower resolution? Thanks, no thanks.
I bought a refurbished AOC monitor from that other site once. It did not include a desk stand. After a couple week wait for the part, it lasted just past the warranty period and died.
I say MEH in your general direction!
Miller Lite, eh?...must be some Plano living big timer rich fellows,,,
Mehnitor
5ms response time... meh
No Gsync = no go.
@givemeyoursoul Implying you can find a Gsync monitor for under $500.
@Dankk No, implying that I won't buy a new monitor until gsync is primetime.
+smiley-panicky-picture = 2 of 'em. Am I going to be an unhappy user when I use them to look at engineering drawings?
Well. Guess i pulled the trigger on this one. Gonna put the old one in my bath room
@kasubot just curious, driven by what? (Do you also have a PC/Roku/Chromecast/FireTV/DVD player/HDMI wiring in there?)
Much more likely to impulse buy a stupid big monitor with VESA mount points.
Bring back the speaker dock!
Almost picked this up. If it had more inputs, it'd be a no-brainer.
@hamjudo Killjoy! :-)
This is making those speaker docks look like an awfully good deal, and I only have an iPhone 4!
Dude. I'd rather have a Dell!

Bought a refurbished AOC monitor in October. Arrived broken. AOC won't support. MEH has not replaced it or refunded my money yet. (Busy over Holidays.)
No Georgia Red. . . for that alone, meh.
I love purple.
That resolution is garbage for such a large screen. For shame!
Now get your act together and sell me a damn Roomba with lighthouse support for $150 or less.
I bought this but got a different AOC monitor. Anyone else experience this? I contacted Meh already. I don't know if it was an accident or them trying to pull a fast one on me.
@DillSlapper definitely not intentional, we'll get it worked out with you.
@JonT Thanks, hope this did't happen to a lot of people
@DillSlapper Same issue. Wrote company 3 days ago. No reply yet (two of those days are the weekend)
Same issue here. Just sent in a message as well.
Happened to me too, got a shittier monitor.
$194 dollars for a monitor that was only $169 on woot. I'm afraid to ever meh again...
http://www.woot.com/offers/aoc-27-1080p-led-monitor-with-hdmi-12?ref=cnt_wp_11_13
@varyable you're telling me that meh and woot sold two different models of monitor and sold them for different prices?
That's just crazy!
@Ignorant no that's not what I'm saying you Internet troll nerd. They sent me that shitty monitor that was cheaper on woot. Read the other post.
@varyable wow, such words, much hurt.
You must be speaking of this post from JonT https://meh.com/forum/topics/aoc-27-ips-led-frameless-monitor-black-refurbished#54cd2c745796714c085169ff
saying that they didn't send the wrong monitor intentionally and that meh will make it right. If you haven't already I would send an email to meh and include a pic of the monitor you received.
Yours
-Internet troll / nerd
@varyable Tsk, tsk. @Ignorant is one of the good guys.
@Barney awww, thanks @Barney and a happy purple to you.
@Ignorant cool memes bro, constantly posting on forums is so cool
@Barney you're all a bunch of losers just send me the right monitor for fucks sake
@Thumperchick I knew you'd be by to give the correct info in a nice and helpful way.I just can't do anything right, I'm such an ignorant @ignorant.
[EDIT] seeing the comment below, I guess it doesn't matter how nice and helpful you are :(
@Thumperchick cool story i didn't click his thing and i didn't read all that crap you wrote. Post more shit i dont care about please because now I'm getting amused by you people. Ha ha lol derrr
@Ignorant eh, fuck 'em if they'd rather not solve their own problem.
@varyable "too" - and maybe stick with velcro (see what I did there?).
Attn: customer support
When I submit support request I get the "Aw snap..." error every time the last few days. The only other option on the page is "discuss".
I received a E2752VH instead of the I2757FH. It is a much lower quality monitor (not even IPS) and has a much different look (thick frame instead of frameless).
I received a much lower quality monitor than the one meh promised.
Please send me the I2757FH as promised.
@vbest Hmm, I submitted one regarding the same issue on Saturday without a problem.
@vbest On the support form, are you posting links with html tags in them, by any chance?
@Thumperchick No html, just a couple of plaintext sentences. I attempted to submit a request the past 4 days and got "Aw snap..." every time
@vbest So weird.
Hey all,
We're still getting to the bottom of this issue after catching up from the weekend and I'll have more information for you tomorrow, sorry for all the trouble.
CC: @DillSlapper @vbest @elitefont @varyable @cjsutherland
@JonT Thank you.
@JonT thank you for the update
@JonT bath
@JonT option #2 please. The support interface is still giving me the "aw snap" error, so please confirm my option #2 selection. Thanks!
@JonT Thanks for email. Already responded.
I got the wrong monitor and emailed customer service on Friday but they still haven't responded.
@antonD They are really backed up - it's going to take a few days to hear from them.
@Thumperchick Thanks for the answer. I have never ordered from meh before, so I wasn't sure what was going on.
Ah well...
