Anyone who can advise me on a sound bar for my TV?
2I have a 42" LG television with which I generally satisfied except for the sound quality. I’m considering adding a sound bar, but I have no clue how to judge one. The Spouse is pretty good at installing stuff, so that’s not a worry. I just need some help in figuring out if Woot is a good bargain for this. (Does it help to know I watch it from about 10’ away?)

Sam’s Club has sold this particular model with the 38" with wireless sub for a few years now, and I have purchased 3 of them thus far - 2 as gifts, and the last for my wife’s “2nd living room”. I originally had a JVC 5.1 HTIB set up for her, but she likes to rearrange the furniture…A LOT. NO, EVEN MORE THAN THAT. Anyway, after re-running speaker wires more times than I can count, we switched over to this. I can not speak for the quality of your refurb, but when bought new this soundbar setup has continually impressed me with it’s sound. She really didn’t lose anything from switching from the 5.1 to this. And it will go LOUD! Great bass. I was moving from the the LG, to the Samsung, then always back to the Vizio in Sam’s testing them out, because the other 2 seemed to have some built in volume limiter, but the Vizio will go uncomfortably loud. And hey, you can bluetooth your phone in and stream your music to it as a bonus
Sam’s currently has this for $129 I believe, but they will clearance them down sometimes to around $99. Hope this helps
