Anyone watching Eurovision?
3I generally don’t, and haven’t in years, but I found myself on The Telegraph website for unrelated reasons and noticed this article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/0/eurovision-song-contest-2017-competitors-taking-part/
Long story short, Italy’s song has a dancing gorilla in the second half of the video and is also the favorite to win. Coincidence?

Once they started blocking the YouTube stream to the U.S. I haven’t watched. I was thinking about using one of those VPN services for general use anyway, and maybe getting one that would let me set my exit to a country where the YouTube stream works, as soon as I bother to figure out which are the few countries where that works.
@jqubed Oh man, I didn’t even know there was a youtube stream, and now I’m mad that I can’t watch it.
Oddly entertaining even though I don’t speak Italian.
@aungericht Right? Generically uplifting EuroDisco beat, a part where people can shout, (apparently) snarky lyrics about cultural appropriation AND a dancing gorilla? It has everything I want to hear in the background of a European vacation when I’m buying overpriced ice cream in a park. Which I now want to do.
@mossygreen The goofy songs are part of the appeal, but I find the voting to be equally entertaining.
