@hchavers Yeah, they really translated that badly. I’m sure that what they’re trying to say is that the case can recharge the buds up to three times, but that is absolutely not what comes across. Anker used to be better about that sort of thing.
@brennyn Let’s just hope that they don’t farm the task out to those people who write the headlines for stuff on Temu. “Winner 2023 New J5TWS Waterproof In-Ear HI-FI Stereo Wireless Earbuds Sports Life Earphone Gaming Earphone For Women/Kids/Kids/Men/Adults”
I’m still using and happy with the $40 Rowkin Bit Charge buds from, what? <checks history> five years ago! OMG I’m old…
These will be a nice step up with longer battery life.
@IAMIS doesn’t matter with their 18mo warranty. I had to do a claim once right near the end and they definitely stand by the warranty, no questions asked (long as there’s no obvious physical or water damage).
@EnigmaV8 I’d kind or rather not buy something that I’m expecting to have to go through that process on. But if the savings to value ratio is high enough it could be worth it.
@sndfonder And to be clear, don’t get your head more than 18" underwater with ANY solid object in your ear, or you risk puncturing your eardrum. Even 18" may not be safe. No earplugs, no earbuds, nothing. I am not kidding about this.
@Fuzzalini Meh needs to stop that nonsense…doing massive sales to try to unload what didn’t already sell in past daily sales…and then turn around and offer for even less. It’s why I completely stopped buying during their Mehathons
Been an Anker fan for years, ever since they were among the first to make reasonably priced removable batteries for Motorola / Samsung phones… when that was a thing.
@ddalto not the same unless you consider “new” (Meh) = “refurbished” (Amazon). I’m not opposed to buying some things refurbished, but I don’t consider them equal to new products.
@lsweet110 This paper cutter looks awesome! I operated a cutter for 20+ years I operated “The Boss” when it came out with the fully programable one. Merry Christmas!
Most of the reviews I find on line are 18 months to two years old. I’m wondering if the batteries in these are of that age or over a year or more old.
Yes and 18 months warranty but I don’t want to buy an 18 month ear buds.

The case in the ear must hurt. I am amazed at what people will do to listen to music / podcast longer.
@hchavers Yeah, they really translated that badly. I’m sure that what they’re trying to say is that the case can recharge the buds up to three times, but that is absolutely not what comes across. Anker used to be better about that sort of thing.
I bought these about a year or so ago and they are actually quite good for the price.
Anker’s product naming scheme is getting to Xbox levels of confusing.

~just a bunch of thumbnails of corsets and vibrators~
@brennyn @werehatrack There’s actually a reason behind all the nonsensical “brands”.
@narfcake Uiosmuph? Shit! That’s the combination on my luggage!
Thanks for sharing, @narfcake - always wondered about that
@brennyn I thought it was 12345.
@brennyn @narfcake @werehatrack That’s hilarious. “We make the names crazy so we can save on trademark searches. No competition for wocgeixnq, Inc”
$17.59 on Amazon although refurbished
@hammi99 they even got almost all the earwax out!
There’s absolutely no reason ever to not not buy earbuds from meh.

@BarnacleBobbie I bought those too. They were horrible.
@BarnacleBobbie @Tyathca bluetooth modo now open?

Definitely beats no backup pair.
If Amazon is selling “renewed” ones but not new ones, does that mean these new ones are going to fail and be in need of renewing?

Can I swim with them?
@sndfonder You can definitely swim with them! The IPX5 rating, however, strongly suggests they won’t work after that swim.

Bluetooth does not work underwater.
And
“An IPX5 rating implies that a device can endure direct contact with water that’s projected from a nozzle.”
@donver Firehose or squirt gun?
@mrbillmc
Bought these at Best Buy awhile ago - $45. Very happy.
Bought these a couple of days ago during the Mehrathon for a dollar or two more. Oh well, it got me $10 back on the Irk.

No Active Noise Reduction (ANR)? then no thanks

@catchthetams anker power stuff I’m still happy with, anker doing security or video cameras… slowly back away.
I don’t get it. These are 17$ on Amazon
I keep getting screwed. Last time with a shake vaccuum that I found 20$ cheaper the next day. These don’t seem like great deals. What happened

MEALS! DEALS! EELS! AWESOME!
@BillyBoy123 @lsweet110 That’s such a nice cutter. I operated an ancient Challenge for years:
Like this one, but gray.
@BillyBoy123 @Kyeh Good looking machine Machines like that last forever!
@BillyBoy123 @Kyeh @lsweet110 I have that cutter’s smaller (non-powered) brother out in my shop. I haven’t used it in years.

Yes and 18 months warranty but I don’t want to buy an 18 month ear buds.
