@hanxiety@ShotgunX 90-day warranty not encouraging when the main component is the internal battery which tend to go bad suddenly and turn it into a toxic waste brick. (I know, I have several bricks bought here over the years)
@hanxiety The main interesting feature of this battery is USB-PD fast charging. You can get a regular power bank with the same capacity (but slower charging) for $20 or $30 (look for the Griffin 20,000mah one that keeps appearing on meh at 2 for $20). My feeling is the fast charging is nice but you can always take a slower power bank with you if you have to. And this charger is heavier than one of similar capacity that is slower.
If you don’t mind the weight, you could look for a portable power station instead. Those have a 120vac outlet where you can plug in the adapter of your choice. You can get a midsized one (500WH) with 5x the capacity of this power bank for $200 or so. There are also of course bigger and smaller ones.
@hanxiety no. Bought the snugmax 220wh solar generator here years ago. Works great still, will outlast this thing in both longevity and capacity by a lot. $80!? Ha. Ha.
I was going to buy this until I realized that the Amazon listing for the same thing (https://a.co/d/e9SurOK) is $119.99 ($30 coupon) but includes a 65W wall charger that costs $39.99 itself (https://a.co/d/5Pxg3v3).
So it’s a wash: $80 here for just the block, or $120 on Amazon for the block and the wall charger.
There’s a similar discount for a 60k mAh ROMOSS ($90 with a $10 discount if you’re on Prime, another $40 off) that weighs (according to one reviewer) 4 lbs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XJXY25H/

Weird looking VMP IRK
Is this actually a good deal? I need a decent new battery
@hanxiety About $10-20 off historic lows for this version. This model is from 2020, so it’s kind of getting up there in age.

@hanxiety @qazxto Seruously? You didn’t need to change the internal battery on that?
Nice. I’d snag one if I hadn’t recently bought this beast for $100:

…or $85 on Amazon for both (used).
Amazon has this “40,000 mAmp” 18W PD power brick for $23 if you clip the 50% off coupon. https://a.co/d/9xRVuj4
@braveit1 18W PD is nothing compared to the 87W PD on this one. That’s what you’re paying a premium for
@troy of course. That’s why i posted the wattage. But not everyone needs the higher PD charging features and there is a hugh difference in price.
@braveit1 50% off? That’s for the LOVELEDI brand isn’t it? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CFTLLNCZ
