outlandish-rousing-fighter I was wearing my mediocre shirt, until about 10 minutes ago when my guinea pig peed on me. Who knew he didn't want to wear a flowered headband? Picky, picky.
@mmmpopfanatic men's are better fitting than womens if you have boobs or are not tiny. I have both of those issues. I used to buy woot XL AA womens shirts, or men's Large AA shirts. The mens fit looser, but sometimes I wanted the curvier cut. Even then though the XL womens would be short, so I'd flash my stomach if I moved my arms.
@remo28 I usually buy women's AA XL but the first one of these i bought was 1-2 sizes smaller than the old woot one. I usually go medium in the men's ones but it sounds like maybe i should go bigger.
@mmmpopfanatic bought a Day 0 shirt in my usual AA size & have worn it precisely once since it was WAY too small. Read the size chart AND get one size up. Or skip this all together like me as I am done with shirts from meh.
Hmm... 'was about to say, "I strive not to pay to blatantly and loudly advertise a commercial product on my clothing", but I guess this doesn't qualify since meh is paying us $10 to put the logo on it.
@mikibell I did and I pictured it on the beach sitting on a tiki bar stool drinking banana daiquiris with hot women wearing pretty much nothing. That was good and all, but I doubt it is how it looks.
@Outofmymind are you related to my dear hubby? When asked how he likes his hamburger cooked, he always answers "on a fire @ the beach with gorgeous women surrounding me."
One for the missus and one for me. It appears that meh knows who I am: exemplary-synonymous-goat. Garsh, meh, I feel all tingly with appreciation and affection. :-)
@cengland0 Yaknow, I hate to be a fanboy, but it seems like they just keep getting better. This is me, standing on your shoulders, gettin' the good stuff.
@matthew OR a super effective use of money. I keep putting cash into pop machines hoping one day keys to a new car come out instead of pop...someday...
Next time, please offer the t-shirt in a color other than black. I got one the last time they were offered - in black - and as someone who isn't in high school, I have no need for a pile of black t-shirts.
Time for some shirt nerdery explanation on why the blank is more expensive: contractual agreements. The terms and conditions from American Apparel include a clause that the purchaser will be using the shirts for imprinting/decorating and not for resale as-is unless other terms (like the selling price) is met.
Thanks @narfcake. I bought based on the sizing chart but should go down one size if they're the same as those. I contacted support in hopes they can fix my goof. If not, 100% cotton can be shrunk I guess.
@Kidsandliz as much as I enjoy chocolate, the 3XL is still way too big. Did anybody receive a men's XL or 2XL that's too small and want to trade for my 3XL black-on-black?
I'm a wee bit confused...you offer both Men's size and Women's size charts, but it looks like this is only one style - style 2001 - which is a unisex shirt with yet another size chart (accessed on the AA site). Is this the case - not actually being offered in a Women's style? I'm a little too short for unisex shirts - I always look like I borrowed hubby's when I try that. :(
laboring-alleged-word. Fits my job interviewing for 2015? One each gal n guy. Couldn't find the dog sizing chart, but she's too cool to be some fanbitch anyway. Unlike her dorky humans i guess.
@Ayer87 If this is the same style as the previous one, my women's xl shirt is bring worn by my 10 year old son. It is that small, yes. He wears a youth 14, for reference.
@mehjohnson they're supposed to be laughing faces, they didn't translate. Given the context of my post i could see how one could easily assume that it was intended as something dirty. Lucky for me this isn't a family program.
The blew wads of money on social activism stuff rather than just trying to be a good US-based clothing maker. And now they're paying for it. Sad for the people who work there and had no say in how the money was spent...
@narfcake Being no sellouts of any size yet I am assuming these are made to order, or Meh bought a crapton for this and future sales and events. Given the money woes at AA, the later seems more likely due to past ties. That said I hope AA makes it through all this,
@unixrab You're just jealous because you want one of the shirts but would have to pay for the shipping so you're not getting any. It's your own darn fault that you didn't take the 2 months of free VMP.
I will say that I completely stopped buying shirts from Woot because they switched away from AA. It's fine for guys. But Anvil female sizes are way too big.
@TheChrisGlass I had one come a few weeks ago I've worn 4 days. Granted I do construction but it wasn't abused as in ripped by tools or whatnot just being active. It has already linted up, the neck is stretched out 2x normal size and several places are developing holes from thread breaking/spreading. I've had some that have held up well and some that do this. Not buying anymore though from them due to it.
I gave my last meh shirt to a buddy at his bachelor's party. Made him wear it so more people would stop and talk to him. Also he could say he was getting married...meh
Last night at midnight, while everyone around me was waiting and watching for that damn ball to drop, I'm sitting there at the table, with Meh open on my phone. They're all cheering as the ball descends, I'm frantically hitting reload on the phone's browser window. We all cheered at the same time, them for the New Year, me for the new shirt. Imagine my dismay when I go to order a coveted Men's large, only to find out my credit card expired December 2014. But, but, but wait! It's still December! Aw hell, no it ain't, it's January. This is so the fault the @joelmw . Thankfully when I left the party an hour later, I had the presence of mind to sit in the car a few minutes and key in my new credit card info. gory-bowed-fish
@bluedog You did, you did have the presence of mind, didn't you? I'd love to take credit for this great story and for your awesome shirt grab, but, yaknow what, my friend, that's all you.
@bluedog BTW, that whole business with the balls dropping? I mean, yaknow, unless someone goes from tenor to baritone, that shit's way overrated. Time's an arbitrary construct. Don't get me started.
So since the men's sizes with meh on them are sold out, any way you can use that extra $10 from a blank I buy an put a meh on it? Seems like a fair trade.
This is without question a shirt I might consider wearing if I were paid to. But buy one? Thats like buying a nike shirt. Why pay someone to advertise for them? I dont get it.
Let me start off by saying Happy New Year to the whole Meh family! I selfishly forgot to do the most important thing at midnight and when I awoke this morning to see it was a shirt, I thought I surely had missed out. But yippee, women's sizes are still available!!! Also last Meh shirt I decided to see exactly how small a small women's shirt was (it's like the girls and I get put into a shirt prison, no bueno) and forever now I know I'm at a medium! The only shirt I've missed so far is the mediocre one :'( Either way I ramble. Here's to my first 2015 post and most likely the longest of all times, which is the result of not being able to drink last night and having no hangover to curb my brain activity this morning. :-D
@narfcake I wonder what's more to blame, the declining selection of artwork or the hideous Anvil shirts. I thInk I only bought 2 shirts in 2014, based on both reasons.
@Cinoclav Some of each? As both are variables, it makes it tough to pinpoint; IMHO, the blanks play a larger role to the repeat buyers, as there's only so many bleh shirts one can get before "enough is enough"; the casual shirt buyer might not be so discerning. And if those two aspects weren't enough to cause decline, their #1 volume artist venturing out on his own didn't help either. I'm pretty sure TT has cleared 250k shirts already, and most likely it's even higher.
@narfcake They were both Anvil shirts. Declare Your Independence and Come And Play With Us. I'd imagine I don't need to describe either shirt to you. And yes, they both have the normal Anvil neck issues.
For the men out there who hopped on this deal late, the women's sizes at american apparel are a size smaller than the equivalent in men's (WXL = ML). So just get a size larger than you wear in men's shirts in the women's and you'll have some Meh Swag to show off ;)
@narfcake Is it that their lengths are different? Because I was just going by the sizes stated on their sizing chart and there they state that their XL for womens is 1 inch off the mens L.
@AeolusPantheon Hmmm ... well, I'll have to look at what meh linked for the charts, because unless they indeed changed their cut (which I haven't found to be the case), it's not just 1". The shirts here are older Woot/AA shirts, WXL vs. MM: (Feel free to play "name that shirt" for any of the others you see in the pic.)
@AeolusPantheon Okay, I see the issue. Meh (uh, which one of you is responsible for product write up/info - @JasonToon or @dave?) - don't refer to AA's generic sizing chart and link to the 2001 and 2102 sizing charts instead. It'll save everyone a lot of aggravation.
@AeolusPantheon The problem is that men's AA shirts are two sizes too small. In other brands I wear a medium, in AA I wear an XL. So, for me to wear a ladies shirt, they'd have to sell an XXL, which they don't. I think that the Mens Smalls that sold out were intended for newborns.
@ChunkyBitz Vanity sizing is the real fault that's really screwed up sizes and measurements. FWIW, AA does make a W2XL but it's not as readily available as the other sizes. As for being too small, it's notable that some other brands have women's shirts that are cut even slimmer than AA. I also recall @dave having modeled from WS to M2XL back in the days at Woot ... does anyone remember that post/gif?
Happy New Year! I thought I posted that last night. Maybe not. Yeah, another shirt! How do they get me to buy this stuff? I think meh has powers over me that I don't understand.
I aparently don't wake up early enough to get the nice $5 deal on men's t-shirts because a bunch of eager-beaver male shopping nerds already cleaned them out. Meh.
For all of you men cursing the other men for buying out the shirts, you really should curse women like me who have curves that can't be contained in even a aa xl womens shirts! This chick is certainly not built like a 12 year old girl!! Mild-sweltering-family 2 xl and 1 xxl.
And just to piss off more men, we women know how to run a line of staystitching at the neckline, then cut off the ribbing and turn down and topstitch the edge so it becomes a women's shirt. Only longer, and with longer sleeves. Always buy men's shirts. Then attack them with Swarovski and fabric glitter glue... Bwaaahaahaa!
@lisaviolet Crystals come with hot glue backs; place them, press them with a hot iron, and bling is yours. The original shirt designer may not think much of it, but they're MY shirts and MY boo- er, body.
@OldCatLady Love fabric painting with glitter...you can never have too much glitter.... I have a 20" x 16" heat press. I do lots of fun stuff with it. Never tried crystals with hot glue backs, though.
@OldCatLady Speak for yourself. This woman has absolutely no idea what the heck you're talking about. My idea of sewing is duct tape and a staple gun. Paint smears, grass stains, and a little motor oil are the usual decorations.
I made my order during NYE revelry. On Jan 1 I woke up to realize I accidentally ordered a small instead of a large. Oops. I hope it's not too small for my 13-year-old nephew. If so, I guess it'll go to my friends' 2.5-year-old daughter who is as tall as a four-year-old.
@narfcake it's fun to consider for sure. I need to read up on that potential that American Apparel was still having trouble - though it sucks to hinge on that.
@snapster The way I'm picturing things operating here, it wouldn't be necessary. No reckoning - operate it like ShirtPunch, old TeeFury, etc., in which "when it's gone, it's gone", which also means not having to hinge on certain blanks and colors only. Offer a simple per-sale commission to the artists that's fair, unlike Threadless' 0.25 minimum. Print quality, target TeeTurtle, which ran @spiritgreen's design at like 60lpi halftones. And have a variety of styles/themes like shirt.woot. That's how I see it.
@snapster It's a lot of personal preference, really. For me, Next Level Apparel (3600 for men, 3300L for women). Super soft, a bit stretchier, and tolerates the washer/dryer quite well, as I documented here. The pitfall is that they're not made in the USA and the stretchier knit means that prints distress easier too.
To continue, I don't have enough experience with Royal Apparel; I only have one blank shirt of theirs and I have no idea where it is. JS Apparel is made in the USA, and to me, they aren't bad, but aren't great IMHO either, as it's a bit "slouchier" in cut. And in my limited experience, the wider necklines of Bella/Canvas blanks, USA made or not, doesn't make me a fan of them either. FWIW, they were the supplier to the shirts that Threadless took down. Threadless has since gone to Anvil with a custom cut, and they hold up waaaaay better than the Woot/Anvil blanks.
@Cinoclav Awww, thanks. I will admit to still not being nerdy enough, though; out of the dryer and sorting the blank brands by feel, I was only 16 of 19 on the last Ramy load.
@narfcake Unless you mean you got 16 out of 19 wrong, that's insanely good- you were able to identify brands by touch alone far more accurately than mere guessing or any of us could do. I salute your master-level ability there!
@dashcloud Not good enough! A previous "blind sorting test" I got 17 of 18, which is better percentage wise. The three I missed were two old AA that I thought was NLA and one newer NLA that I thought was AA.
@narfcake I must say, if it weren't for Woot's Anvil shirts, most of mine are Gildan, which seem to last a long time. Any time I see those being used as blanks I get excited.
@theco2 Gildan - probably 2000 (Ultra) or 5000 (Heavy) shirts? Thick, durable ... and can almost double as sandpaper. Not as rough as older FOTL blanks, though ... those did double as sandpaper.
@narfcake I have no idea, but I'm sure most are the 2000s. I'm not too worried about softness, because they last forever. I have shirts I have worn for 10+ years, without a problem. The only reason my Anvils will last so long is because I have so many, they won't get worn but maybe once a month.
@YahSah15@nadroj All I'm seeing is the order date and that the order was placed. It seems fairly typical for these shirts (which I'm pretty sure they're selling at a loss) that the shipment is slower than usual. Which doesn't really answer your question, but, YahSah, if you could maybe post an image highlighting the shipping date (or just describe where it is), on account of we might be missing something.
@nadroj that's why you sign up for a fedex account. have it linked to your address and then when you get a shipment to you at your address viola it shows up. i have my tracking information already. now it hasn't actually shipped out yet, but the information has been sent to fedex. This works on the majority of all fedex and smartpost stuff (not just from meh.
@brdubb I don't have a fedex or ups account, but i get up-to-date tracking information on both! I have real-time tracking on earbuds, shirts and adapters.
@YahSah15 the accounts just auto add your shipments coming to you and send notifications to you. It's helpful if you get a lot of packages as it automated part of the process.
@nadroj@joelmw@brdubb@YahSah15 Hey y'all, these are going to take a little while longer to ship out because there was a bit of a delay in getting them printed. No need to fear, I believe anything that wasn't already shipped should ship early next week.
@JonT have they all shipped by now? I still see "Label created" for my tracking number with "Anticipated ship date : Mon 1/12/2015" on the FedEx site, and no status updates. If they're en route and FedEx isn't updating that's one thing. However, if they're still sitting in the meh warehouse, that's a different problem. Thanks!
Would like to give a thumbs-up to meh's tracking system. Better than any other site, because FedEx and usps tracking numbers are tied together. At other sites such as amazon and eBay I have to search separately when smart post hands off to usps.
@akorozco It's taking longer than we thought to scrub these Meh logos off the shirt.
(No, really, it took longer than we thought to get blanks from our printer, maybe because that's a totally bizarre thing to request from a printer. The blanks should ship this week, which is too long, and largely my fault. And @joelmw's of course.)
@BootlegCraig@cengland0@SSteve I'd buy that too. I'll happily take the blame if that happens. Like "meh," "blank" is one of those understated, under-appreciated and yet powerful expressions.
@theco2 Indeed, what is weird about woot shirts is some do ok, some are absolutely horrid. I've bought shirts with them that after a hour literally fell off almost from the neck stretching out to a 55 gallon drum size. Others ( usually black ones ) last awhile. Used to order 2 a month to wear at work, but haven't in months due to the quality. Now AA shirts if Meh decides to start doing it again would see 2-3 purchases a month from me. I destroy shirts painting/tiling and whatnot and always need more.
@theco2 What I love is that I can buy a shirt from Gudrun with free shipping, and it gets from Sweden to Cleveland in 2 days. Ordered the meh shirt 1/1 and inshallah I get it 1/14.
@smoo99 I had to see what Gudrun was, before I replied. I was hoping it was another t-shirt site, but just meh. It is crazy on how fast something can get to you, from overseas and how it can take so long to ship across the country.
@theco2 They probably shipped, Meh has had issues the past few weeks with no tracking numbers or just label created. Suggest making a fedex account to see what is actually on way to you via address tracking instead of label number.
I forgot I ordered one of these. Supposed to be delivered tomorrow. A package from meh came yesterday and I honestly didn't know what it was going to be. It was the Cobra car charger. Need more Gingko Biloba I guess.
Not meh just crap! After waiting 2 wks I have my "xl" shirt which would not fit a child. I write this as I wear my well printed attractive woot xl shirt that fits with room to spare. I'm sorry but this is bullshit.
@narfcake Exactly. Woots anvils are mutant shirts and do not come close to anyone else's shirt size. I often get XXL so they are very lose for work( and cover my ass more when fixing plumbing issues ) and it is like wearing a trash bag compared to other brands.
@smoo99 mine is supposed to arrive today in the same size. I did, in fact, see the size warning, but now I'm concerned. BTW, I resist ordering XXL for anything - far too damaging to my psyche!
@RedOak Women's or men's size? The comment about "fit a child" suggested the former to me, as over at shirt.woot, complaints about "I got sent a kid's shirt." was common with AA shirts.
@RedOak Yes. Men's shirts are only a little narrower than "regular" men's sizes. Vanity sizing all but guarantees that women's sizes vary all over the place; someone isn't used to the aspect that different brands have different sizes will subsequently wonder why the shirt they got was so much smaller.
@narfcake I took pains to check the measurements on the size chart. I literally have never seen a shirt meant for an adult this small. Went straight into the goodwill bag but was pretty meh in any case.
@smoo99 Not going to even try trading it for a woot shirt first? Not that I'm against Goodwill or anything; without them and folks donating their old woot shirts, my collection wouldn't be anywhere close to its size now. But if so, does it mean I have a greater chance in finding a meh shirt than I do a TT shirt, which I've yet to run across even though it's been nearly 3 years and over 250k shirts?
@narfcake I have not the slightest idea what a TT is but if you go to the Goodwill on Van Aken in about a week, and if you're the size of a slim 8 yr old girl the meh shirt is yours.
@mossygreen SoCal, land of t-shirt weather almost year round. Statistically, it's still slim pickings; I'd flip through 200 to 1500 t-shirts per store, and if I'm lucky, I might find something every four visits. There are 5 Goodwills and 13 other sizable thrift stores within a 10 mile radius. Also at work, there are times in which I'll be out and about, so time permitting, I'll hit some more stores too.
@smoo99 TT = TeeTurtle, a shirt site that was started by shirt.woot's #1 volume artist one week after they changed the blanks. That said, if you want, I'll paypal you $5 for it, even if it's the wrong size for me. Send me a message over at shirt.woot.
@ninkumpoop Feel fortunate, there are still some of us waiting patiently for them to ship - even though I've been charged and the package manifested, it hasn't left the warehouse all week - it sits there, taunting me, laughing.
My 3x 'meh' shirt arrived two days ago, and it's been through the wash. It fits very well, the body and arms are nice and long. I was going to cut out the neck to convert it into a ladies' style but the band is not too bulky, so it will stay as it. I like AA.
Welp, count me among the people who didn't read carefully and should have significantly sized up, or not ordered women's sizes. Guess it's motivation to lose weight?
Due to the unfortunate black hole that exists between Carrollton, TX and Little Elm, TX (20 miles by car, 6 billion by USPS) my shirts have gone AWOL. They "shipped" on Monday.
@tightwad Mine still don't have a Fedex status. I figure if they don't arrive by February I'll start thinking about sending an email to customer support.
@CozzaFrenzy My 2-shirt order has been in "label created" mode for a week. Standing by to receive, need something disposable to wear when I swap out the lead-acid batteries in the boat.
@RogerWilco THANK GOODNESS for mediocre thieves! So today, after checking the mail I went to my neighbor Daryl's door to ask for some of my tools back that I had loaned him last week. when he opens the door, I don't notice anything too unusual, but he is acting kind of weird, and wont make eye contact. so im talking and he says that he still needs the tools for a bit but he'll get them to me soon, then he turns to the side and i see the "meh." lettering on the front of his shirt and quickly ask him where he got it. "uh... it was on sale at Walmart, so I bought a 3-pack." he said. Anyway I confronted him about it and he confessed that he's been taking packages out of my mailbox for years (which explains why I never get those freebies I sign up for.). Anyway, I did get my shirt back, and a few other things that never arrived. I told him that next time a package didn't arrive, I was going to call the cops but I don't think he'd be that stupid.
@studerc checked FedEx tracking and apparently my label was created on the 12th. Still sitting over in meh labs I guess. Maybe they just enjoy looking at their labeled shipments too much.
Mine arrived today (or maybe Saturday, I didn't check the mail).
I like it. Simple black T-shirt I can wear under stuff. Although I think I ordered an XL as people said they run small. I'm not so sure it's THAT small. I might have gotten a large knowing what I know now.
Who am I going to have to put on time out for this " label created" thingamajigger? Somebody needs to put that label on the darn box and ship it out now! Don't make me get the belt!
@Dad I'm thinking since there are so many of us in "label limbo" that they just haven't gotten a batch of these orders out the door yet. The shirts take a while to print and come in, then meh gets them out the door, slowly.
@Dad@Mehnotk@tightwad@Thumperchick@Alien88 Sorry for the delay, y'all. Those 150,000 pieces of Built NY are being finished up today and the last couple batches of shirts should roll out by the end of the week.
@JonT thanks for the update. As you can imagine, this has been a rather frustrating experience. The My Orders page says they've "Shipped", but FedEx only shows "Label Created". i got a reply from meh support re: the order - 10 days ago - saying there was a delay shipping them out and that the tracking info will update in the next few days. Alas, the shipping info hasn't been updated nor is there any news or update re: what happened to our orders.
My shirts arrived today, but according to the FedEx website it's still in "label created" hell. USPS knows nothing about this tracking number. Interesting thing is that the shirts came USPS-only. There was no FedEx/Smartpost involvement.
I just found meh shirts in my mailbox instead of Carrollton. Love the black on black and the shirts are really soft. I am sad that I ordered before coffee, somehow I managed to order a men's XL instead of a women's (although after looking at the women's L I should order a women's XXL next time).
I feel like the teenager should have to complete some sort of challenge, obstacle course (or maybe just clean her room) to earn the right to sport the subtle snark of a meh shirt in high school.
My 3x fits perfect. Really like this brand. Hope future shirts are same and are available in 3x. FYI, most 3x are gigantic circumference wise but extremely short. I'm kinda big n tall and usually have to order 2xTall. Well nobody sells the tall shirts except like ugly as Belk husky section and such. So very pleased these 3x had the extra length to cover my 12 pack & plumbers crack. More of same size & brand = lots more of my $$$
I am hoping I receive my 2 shirts this upcoming week otherwise I will potentially have to resort to this whole gif epeen war that everyone who is a goat or wants to be a goat seems to do
Rumor has it, if you show up on the doorsteps of the meh headquarters in Carrolton, you get shot, and your corpse gets a free meh t-shirt to wear in the casket. @dave please confirm.
I have to say, I'm very pleased in all my Meh Wear. Also I wish I had gotten more. They are extremely comfortable to wear to work as an undershirt... and it gives me a little bit more satisfaction to know that deep inside when I get the help desk calls that aren't for the help desk, or are so simple... I am saying Meh. On the inside.
Also I think the Mediocre logo is my favorite... It's Meh without anyone knowing what it is... then I educate them.
The two shirts I ordered have finally shipped. Looks like I'll get them on the 30th. At least I'll be able to say I received them in the same month. Hurray!
I ended up receiving my shirts on the 31st. Along with my two shirts that I ordered, I mehgically received two additional shirts. At this point I don't know if it was a mehstake or a "we're sorry "bonus for taking so long. Btw, the shirts look great!
@narfcake agreed! My husband and I both popped up in meh shirts the other day - he was in silver on black, mine was the black on black. Still had to change mine, though - that's when I realized how many shirts I own that just say "meh."
@Thumperchick In my case, it'll be two kickstarter edition shirts, two silver-on-black, four black-on-black (when the 3 I ordered get here; @smoo99's got here already, and seeing how postage ran higher than the sale price, I'll be making it up to her). Add in shirt.woot's meh, National meh league, Not-so-action-packed, and most recently, Meh! Christmas and a Crappy New Year on a mutant blank that's shrunken up and shorter than an AA MS ... and a ThinkGeek meh and probably more ... yeah, I'm getting meh-ed out. But shirt.meh.com? I can dig that.
Meh, seriously though. Joking aside, it's been four weeks now since the order was placed and I still do not have shipping information. I would really like my shirts.
I emailed customer service about this about a week ago... and they seem to be having issues with their slow as fuuuuuuu-vendor. Meh seems to be as meh as they can be about this. I didnt get the feeling they were super happy either with this result. But at this point, there are no excuses. Just marinate in your apathy. Thats what theyre doing, and thats what im doing.
Too bad for all you who haven't gotten your shirts yet, I've gotten mine twice. Suckers!
Seriously though, I did get mine twice. Once a week or two ago and again today. Am I supposed to do anything or do I just get to keep the free shirts because I'm so nice and cool?
@Al_Coholic So...I...uh...I ordered two shirts. But then today I got four shirts in two separate packages. Do I hafta give them back or...I mean I don't really want to, but I kinda feel a little bit bad.
@JonT You mean you guys might be faster than my shirts from TeeTurtle during their "growing pains" stage a couple years ago? Their site regularly crashed at midnight and CS was backed up too! FWIW, 5-1/2 weeks to arrival is the time to beat.
(Nowadays, it's order a shirt, gets fulfilled within a day, arrives in a week, the print is straight, no mutant blanks like woot ... so uneventful!)
Holy crap I've been wanting to post this update for a looooong time:
The shirts have all been shipped!
We finally got the last ones out the door. The tale of woe and sorrow that led us here is still a little foggy, but maybe you'll find this Murphy's Law of an event at least mildly amusing as you wait far too long for some stupid shirts to show up:
We decided to sell the same number of shirts as last time we sold a shirt. Except I told the printer to make quantities based on the Mediocre shirt we sold while the sale was set up using the last Meh shirt quantities. This sort of thing would normally get caught before launch, or at worst right after the sale, but enough people were out for the holidays it slipped by unchecked.
So we were going to be a few shirts short. Then we apparently shipped some small number of you twice the shirts you ordered. You're welcome! (Of course you can keep the shirts.) Except, of course, that left us even more short-handed.
Add in 150,000+ BuiltNY shipments and over 1000 crazytown Fuku shipments so the warehouse is almost literally drowning in neoprene and what would've still been relatively quick fixes languished for an extra week or so.
All of that is to say: Wow this did not go as planned. I will say, I'm pleasantly surprised with how the shirts came out. That was honestly where I most expected failure - asking a printer to print a black logo on a black shirt is not normal - but they turned out ok I think. And it now seems like you all will eventually get your shirts.
I'm sorry for this mess, it's not yours to worry about or deal with, and you shouldn't have to even think about our goings-on, but I felt there was a need for some answer to the legitimate what-the-hells?
@dave i got mine today. happy my experience can be concluded. Thanks for reminding me that meh does eventually follow through, except @JonT...still waiting on that goat prize. Oh, also the rest of Fuku 3 you guys forgot to put in my box of two things. But who is counting?? :)
@dave I truly appreciate the explanation even though my issue was fit not time, as I find it best to just wait to be surprised when I order anything meh. Actually I was so pleased with the Built haul that it made up for my sadness at not having a meh shirt. The black on black did look great. Anyway, just sayin' thanks.
Who do I contact about a replacement? I got Umber White oil paint along with Ultraflex 2 mortar and Linen color grout all over one along with some bright white Alex 35 year caulking and possibly some pickle juice. Doesn't appear to be coming out.
@Outofmehmind CLEANUP- Clean tools and tile while the mortar is still fresh. As for the pickle juice - you're fucked. Hamburgers will be chasing you down the street.
@akorozco@tardoman Ack, yes, a few additional quirky warehouse mix-ups here. @akorozco I think we've already written you, @tardoman I'll double check that we've got you on our list.
Hey @tardoman, just checked on this and the shirt is (finally) on it's way! You can see the details on your Orders page. In the mean time, sit back and sip on some wine while you wait for your glorious shirt to arrive!
@glindagw Are you looking at the general sizing chart meh linked or the 2102 sizing chart I linked somewhere up this thread? I traded for a WXL, but as I also shown, it's slimmer than a size MM.
I love my Meh shirts but I have to coordinate wearing them with my husband. We've had a couple of days where we find we both chose to wear our Meh shirt so one of us changes. I don't want to look like one of those douchey couples who wear the same thing on purpose.
@ABitterWoman@thumperchick enough already..don't want to hear how comfy they are until mine actually leave Texas! all I can say is, at least mine are new in the package still, whereever they may be.. :)
@ABitterWoman@thumperchick@jont My shirts arrived!!!!!! As I expected there was a huge pile of Meh deliveries on the front steps!!! Luckily, hubby wasn't home to see the pile.
@dashcloud I don't remember when they increased that, but is was definitely after the Purpleaplooza event because I was only able to buy 6 Fresh Cakes.
Which goat should I blame for my shirts still being in "Label Created" status, the goat from January, when I ordered them, or the goat from some potential future month when they actually arrive?
Wow so today I got my shirts +1. The +1 which doesn't really match (silver/grey meh) the rest and is a different size than the other 3 I ordered.... I will definitely pass on any further clothes from Meh.
So I received my shirts today and instead of the two I ordered I got three! I'm not sure if this was by mistake or on purpose, but either way it's awesome. A great addition to my meh shirt collection. Thanks meh!
I got them. I finally got them. With the extra shirt too! My wife loved her shirt, they are undoubtedly...meh. Good job guys, our valentine's day outfit came in right on time. Keep up the good work (no sarcasm, I promise).
For any brave souls still following along with this fiasco, we discovered a remaining 68 orders with tracking showing they had yet to be received (41 hadn't shipped, 27 seemed lost in transit). We will be working through the issues there to prevent this from happening in the future, but, more importantly, we shipped all 68 orders today. And we shipped them ground instead of smart post so you should have them next week.
@on@grum@adonas and any others still waiting: I'm seriously embarrassed by this. It is awful service, to the very users we should be serving best - people who want to wear our shirts. I am sorry for the ridiculous delay and repeated uncertainty about your order. I hope you (finally) enjoy your shirts and thanks for sticking around.
@Cwhitaker You got an extra shirt?! I just got one shirt and the logo was the wrong color... Pretty meh after waiting for 6 weeks but nice to see that Meh is giving people extra shirts for the wait.
@on I've made sure you are getting your black logo shirt still. It's on the way now. I can't figure out what else to say because certainly "sorry" isn't cutting it any more. Ugh.
@dave Thanks. It's fine. Hey at least it's not life threatening like if there was a hurricane and I didn't have my Oregon Scientific Desktop Emergency NOAA Radio to save me :).
Oh wait, this is the middle of Texas. The most life threatening weather is when Austin drivers don't know how to drive in half an inch of rain. ![Stupid Drivers][1] [1]:
@on Phoenix in the rain is the worst in my book. I've been on I-80 across Wyoming in a blizzard and it wasn't as bad as Phoenix in the rain. The heat melts windshield wiper blades and no one thinks to check / replace them, so no one can see and they run their tires down to bald - it is a nightmare. I lived in the Chandler / Gilbert area for a year and a half (after Seattle) - thankfully I was on assignment and away from home most all the time. Damn, I really need to get back to the Seattle area. Now I'm being all nostalgic . . . maybe a thread on "Best place you ever lived and moved away from".
Someone worked extra hard to make the "Almost Blank" "Blank!"
And for that extra effort I also got a "Not Almost Blank" pair of shirts with a more silver colored logo. So in two shipments spaced out by, I don't remember actually, I have received SIX shirts for the price of 3!
And now I get SOCKS! I'm a happy VMP. Hats should be next, just saying.
Wow -- I just got three for the cost of two shirts too. Very nice (and nice alternate lettering on one). But it'd been so long that I had to go back and look at my orders page. Plus I had a "Meh" shirt in my drawer. So - I've figured out now that I did an impulse buy 1/1/15 -- And...the orders page must only cover 2015 - since that snazzy shirt in my drawer (and the other with my son in college) doesn't appear there. Color me confused, but satiated....as far as t-shirts. But those socks will be nice to try out in this frigid MN winter!
Mine still hasn't shipped. The FedEx label was created on 1/27/2015 but I still haven't received the shirt. Thanks for the random set of glassware though. That was nice. :)
@JonT There are two tracking numbers on my order. 74899998245224261123 I did receive on 2/3/15 however I received a random box of glassware and not the shirt I ordered. The other tracking number 74899998245224244560 just shows that a label was created but never sent.
My meh shirt met another meh shirt in a high-rise elevator (Bass Towers). Did the usual friends/enemies/frenemies posturing for a bit, then all was well.
Now my meh shirt wamts more meh shirts at home for companions. Only 3 live here so far. 2 few.

Happy New Year - wore my meh -shirt today actually.
@ilovereality Thats funny, me too!
@narfcake for next goat!!
@Ignorant Hear hear! Oh wait ... DAMNIT!
@narfcake moar shirts
@Ignorant BTW, I was prepared for goatdom:
eh...
@clonetek No, it's "meh."
Too bad I don't wear Tshirts, this is really nice. Happy New Year!
@KDemo WHAT DO YOU WEAR?
@Al_Coholic - Depends on my mood.
@KDemo Ahh ok, as long as you wear normal clothes like the rest of us. For a minute there I was thinking you were some kind of weirdo.
What happen to $1 shirts?! I cry heresy!!
This will sell out. Happy New Year!
@neuromancer SO CLOSE!
raunchy-faceted-toe, no camels..
I stayed up for THIS? Ha!
Wait...no fu..aww never mind!
Still though, shirts n shit.
I for one blame @joelmw
@studerc "Still though, shirts n shit." I know; awesome, right? ;-)
I wore both of my meh shirts this week and so did my husband. Sadly, he said I don't need more meh shirts.
@PurplePawprints I wear both my meh shirts most every week. I'd wear the mediocre as often too, but it's smallerly smallish.
@PurplePawprints Yes, but do you want more meh. shirts?
@2many2no Duh. I blame myself that you don't get this.
Great shirt meh. That was one in a million.
These are the shirts we're looking for.
@Headly funky-honorable-seed.
blank is more expensive that w/the "meh" logo? wow.
did i buy this t-shirt in a previous offering?
@annwat This is a new Stealth printing (Black on Black). Not the same.
@annwat subsidized by advertising. it's the meh-rican way.
@annwat they'll make it up in volume! They're buying eyeballs!
@Headly They must have a good eyeball supplier (or I have a crappy one). Mine charges way more than this.
@kylewood thanks for the clarification! count me in!

aww, just like meh.

I was wearing my mediocre shirt, until about 10 minutes ago when my guinea pig peed on me. Who knew he didn't want to wear a flowered headband? Picky, picky.
The picture taken just before it all went horribly wrong.
Do the men's shirts run like normal American Apparel shirts? Bought the women's one last time and it runs way small :(
@mmmpopfanatic Sizing charts - consult them.
@mmmpopfanatic Men's sizes run small too...I feel like a real tubby ordering the size I needed this time around. :-(
@remo28 I usually buy women's AA XL but the first one of these i bought was 1-2 sizes smaller than the old woot one.
I wonder if anyone will buy the blank ones for 3 times as much.
@christinerenee FWIW, it's still cheaper than if you were to buy one direct from AA.
Wish you had them in tall sizes...
@duodec Me XXLToo!
@joelmw Wish you had seen fit to do something about it... darn you.
@duodec I'm sorry. I've tried and failed. I must try harder . . . or smarter. Darn me.
@duodec - Pun intended? Funny.
If I order xl in style option one, do I get a free shirt?
Mine wants me to sign back up for vmp... Which I never canceled AND I should be getting to free. :(
@MsELizardBeth sorry to hear you're having trouble. try signing out and back in again.
Woooo! SHIRTS! - that don't have gigantic neckholes or mutated!
Also, I blame @joelmw for meh picking the wrong shirt goat of the month ...
@narfcake I'm sorry. I suppose this is my fault.
@joelmw If this was ran yesterday, I have a feeling I'd be the one saying sorry all night ...
@narfcake It seems that if I'm not saying "I'm sorry," I'm saying "you're welcome." ;-)
@joelmw With every passing month, goatdom is getting more about goodness than fault. And that's actually pretty nice.
gabby-tampered-thunder. And Happy New Year to all! In 52 minutes, central time.
motorized-sweaty-poison.
meh.
Hmm... 'was about to say, "I strive not to pay to blatantly and loudly advertise a commercial product on my clothing", but I guess this doesn't qualify since meh is paying us $10 to put the logo on it.
@RedOak - Plus, it's the opposite of blatant and loud. Subtle and quiet?
No photo's of the blanks?
@Outofmymind Look on AA's site for how the blanks look.
@Outofmymind use your imagination :)
@mikibell It is quite possible as that is how I like mine cooked as well.
In for one bitter-thorough-trapper tee! Happy New Year!
@Kerig3 You summoned me?
@ABitterWoman ;-)
Happy New Year! My gloomy-hypnotic-donkey will be embellished with a ton of rhinestones to lift the gloom, and to celebrate meh-ness in 2015.
@OldCatLady I would hope that if @unixrab were to get one of these shirts (with can't-lose VMP membership), he'd get donkey in his code.
@joelmw donkey > goat
@unixrab Exactly that effect. No T-shirt is safe from crystallization, in this household.
@unixrab We agree at least that it would be great. "Greater than? meh, Idunno.

One for the missus and one for me. It appears that meh knows who I am: exemplary-synonymous-goat. Garsh, meh, I feel all tingly with appreciation and affection. :-)
@joelmw That's rather awesome.
@joelmw I didn't see goat sizes available? Now we need a pic of a goat in a tee!
@Kerig3
@joelmw That's incredible. I ordered things when I was the goat and it never had "goat" in my order number.
@Cinoclav @Kerig3 @unixrab @cengland0 Oh gawd, here it comes . . .
@Cinoclav @Kerig3 @unixrab @cengland0 Bring it in now:
@Cinoclav Yes, it very much is. :-)
@unixrab Nicely done. See, you made me say something nice. ;-)
@cengland0 Yaknow, I hate to be a fanboy, but it seems like they just keep getting better. This is me, standing on your shoulders, gettin' the good stuff.
@joelmw noted. I'll work on that ;-)
Nice write up, talk about shots fired over the bough...
@bluejester I think my closet is going to start overflowing with some other shirts this year ...
@bluejester boughs of holly?

No colors - Meh
I kinda want to pull the trigger on the $15 shirt on the off chance it also is a fuku combo...why must you pull on my heartstrings meh!
Buying things in hopes they might somehow be other things seems like an inefficient way to use money
@matthew OR a super effective use of money. I keep putting cash into pop machines hoping one day keys to a new car come out instead of pop...someday...
Great Meh T-Shirts
Happy New Year 2015 to all about Meh Staff and Customer !
Wish it was available in purple. I blame @joelmw for that oversight.
@heartny I love purple.
@heartny @Barney: If the writeup is any indicator, there will be other shirts and in other colors (like purple) in the future. :)
@heartny @Barney loves purple
@narfcake Purple!!!
@hippiechik I love purple.
FWIW, I like AA's deeper "eggplant" purple than their regular purple. Here are a few from when Woot ran an all-purple side sale:
@narfcake Purple! Purple! Purple!
@Barney Here are some more (with some olive shirts in between):
@narfcake Awww.
@Barney
@heartny Purple!
@Barney You'll love this song!
@Barney I think I seen your car parked at the mall last Friday.
@WINTERMUTE - Can Purple Rain be far behind?
@heartny That would be a perfect shirt for @joelmw and any of the other past goats.
@WINTERMUTE ♪ I love purple--purple--purple♪
@zacatac I luv prpl.
@KDemo I love Purple.
@heartny You'll notice that black is one of the shades of purple. Don't worry, lots of people overlook this.
Next time, please offer the t-shirt in a color other than black. I got one the last time they were offered - in black - and as someone who isn't in high school, I have no need for a pile of black t-shirts.
@versabox I like black
@versabox - I love black. (Hi Barney!)
@KDemo Barney loves purple
@versabox I like black. It's, um, slimming....yeah, right, that's it.
I love purple.

Makes me want to eat dinner...again! Certainly a lot better than rotten or spoiled lasagna!
Time for some shirt nerdery explanation on why the blank is more expensive: contractual agreements. The terms and conditions from American Apparel include a clause that the purchaser will be using the shirts for imprinting/decorating and not for resale as-is unless other terms (like the selling price) is met.
impervious-dirty-rat
Excited to get one of these finally. I shall wear it with indifference. Meh!

Are the men's sized the same as the Mediocre Labs shirts in November?
@nadroj Yes. (if you're ordering the same size as last time, that is.)
Thanks @narfcake. I bought based on the sizing chart but should go down one size if they're the same as those. I contacted support in hopes they can fix my goof. If not, 100% cotton can be shrunk I guess.
@nadroj The direction of the knit makes them shrink more in length rather than in width.
Well, then, I suppose I could gain weight. ;-)
@narfcake mind blown
@nadroj good excuse to eat chocolate,,,just sayin'
@Kidsandliz as much as I enjoy chocolate, the 3XL is still way too big.
Did anybody receive a men's XL or 2XL that's too small and want to trade for my 3XL black-on-black?
@nadroj thinking about it..3xl might make a nice dress :)
@nadroj Sleepshirt. That what I reserve my "way too big" shirts for.
I clicked "Meh", then I bought one... does this throw off the stats? If so, very sorry.
@DrDong yes...you have literally ruined everything.
@DrDong -Good work, that's what you're supposed to do. Otherwise, how would you see the face?
@DrDong I meh everything all the time always. That.
@studerc - Oh, great. Between us we cleared up everything.
@sugarpike Select women's, they'll be AA 2102 shirts.
@narfcake Time travel? Fancy. I'm buying 1000.
@Al_Coholic Uhh, not exactly - product numbers.
@narfcake Dang. The 2001 made me think we were talking about years. I'd better cancel my order...
A great way to start off the year, with an advertisement for yourself. A True Meh move. Happy New Year and Gnite all!

Unlike her dorky humans i guess.
If you want me to advertise for Meh.com you'd have to give the shirt for free (plus a small monthly surcharge).
@Anonymouss It says "meh". Most people will have no idea what it means. I suppose none of your clothing has any branding on it?
@tsfisch Sigh. All my shirts have branding. I would prefer plain, but I'm also cheap.
Easier to shrink a shirt than to grow one. Happy 2015 ya'll

@Pantheist Did you leave without yehr pants again? Meh too. I try to remember the pants is the ones with the longer scratchier stinkier sleeves.
I ordered a woman's xl without looking at the size chart, lmao this sucker is barly gonna fit my boobs :-D :-D :-D
@Ayer87 Pics or it didn't happen. ...of the boobs, that is.
@Ayer87 I am not childishly asking if those are extra smiley faces or triple-D's, with something on top of them?
@Ayer87 If this is the same style as the previous one, my women's xl shirt is bring worn by my 10 year old son. It is that small, yes. He wears a youth 14, for reference.
@mehjohnson they're supposed to be laughing faces, they didn't translate.
Given the context of my post i could see how one could easily assume that it was intended as something dirty.
Lucky for me this isn't a family program.
@Ayer87 do you have three breasts?
@Ayer87 were you in total recall?
Strangely enough, this is the third shirt I bought that just says, "meh." The others were from Think Geek and Woot.
So, actually I bought 2 of this one, because I bought my girlfriend one, also. How can you pass up a $5 shirt, as awesome as this?
I'm whelmed with satisfaction.
AA might not be around much longer, so get 'em while you can...
http://nypost.com/2014/12/31/american-apparel-delaying-payments-to-suppliers/
The blew wads of money on social activism stuff rather than just trying to be a good US-based clothing maker. And now they're paying for it. Sad for the people who work there and had no say in how the money was spent...
@tsfisch Their bigger cost was the ex-CEO. How many sexual harassment incidents was he a part of?
@narfcake Being no sellouts of any size yet I am assuming these are made to order, or Meh bought a crapton for this and future sales and events. Given the money woes at AA, the later seems more likely due to past ties. That said I hope AA makes it through all this,
@Outofmymind Well nm I didn't select them, some sizes have sold out so bought in advance.
@narfcake More than we will ever know.
You want me to PAY to advertise for you?! That's absurd..... Unfortunately my VMP automatically makes me in for 3.
@kenziemaria Another sucker cheered up!
@mehjohnson beat me to it
@unixrab You're just jealous because you want one of the shirts but would have to pay for the shipping so you're not getting any. It's your own darn fault that you didn't take the 2 months of free VMP.
@cengland0
@kenziemaria You have it all wrong. We are paying $15 for all the shirts and Meh is paying us $10 to advertise for them.
tipsy-luxurious-gin
It's themed.
laboring-gentle-imp Am I getting one or are you calling me one?
Out of medium?! meh. In for 2 large.
I will say that I completely stopped buying shirts from Woot because they switched away from AA. It's fine for guys. But Anvil female sizes are way too big.
@TheChrisGlass Not really. The previous men's Anvils had gigantic neckholes; the current ones are armpit pinching mutant shirts.
@narfcake that's to force your shoulders up into a permanent shrug, as if to say... meh.
@TheChrisGlass The female woot shirts are too short. A medium fits me well but is too short. A large is too baggy. I don't get it.
@Eris You clearly need to gain weight or get shorter from the waist up.
None More Blacker.
@SputnikHQ there's a fine line between clever and stupid. A glossy, black screen printed line.

that girl model thooooooooo
@xLSxGaia What's wrong with that model? She looks perfectly fine to me.
@cengland0 so fine
@bluedog Great story!
Not enough mehdium shirts for mehn. - meh.
This is without question a shirt I might consider wearing if I were paid to. But buy one? Thats like buying a nike shirt. Why pay someone to advertise for them? I dont get it.
@Mobilespies Get the unbranded ones then?
Glad I jumped on this last night.
fluffy-hopeless-farmer
we need Meh thongs for all the girls !
@somf69 I'm not going to post any pictures out of respect for others, but google 'American Apparel thong' for some true advertising thrills...
@somf69 Srsly. A thong would get lost on me. I mean that. It's something you definitely do NOT want to see.
Unless it's a shoe thong. Then you still wouldn't want to see it.
@somf69
@somf69 for the guys......
@somf69 In for three.
@somf69 as long as it's the AA Invisi-Thong
Got two early this AM after the New Year's party. Amazing what sounds like a really good buy, once you've had a few drinks. Vulgar-lonesome-sheep
It's just 10:40 EST and there are no men's shirts left. We can't order these things and get you to ship them as you get them?
@Jaddie Back in the days, 3,000 shirts sold out regularly at shirt.woot too ... which is a far cry to debut day sales nowadays.
And yes, they both have the normal Anvil neck issues.
meh, dont need any shirts.
For the men out there who hopped on this deal late, the women's sizes at american apparel are a size smaller than the equivalent in men's (WXL = ML). So just get a size larger than you wear in men's shirts in the women's and you'll have some Meh Swag to show off ;)
@AeolusPantheon No they're not! I have a loooooooooot of AA shirts in varying sizes; a WXL is on par to a MS/MM.
@narfcake If there was any debate over what constitutes an 'assload', I think this picture provides a definitive answer.
@narfcake Thanks for the clarification!
@hallmike No it doesn't. Now if I bought a load of this shirt, then you have a point.
Missed it! Sold out in men's.
@sjosey There are still some small blanks in mens.
Happy New Year!
I thought I posted that last night. Maybe not.
Yeah, another shirt! How do they get me to buy this stuff? I think meh has powers over me that I don't understand.
barbed-rad-company
All sold out for men's. meh.
fantabulous-homely-llama
Who you callin' homely?
I aparently don't wake up early enough to get the nice $5 deal on men's t-shirts because a bunch of eager-beaver male shopping nerds already cleaned them out. Meh.
Okay, so here is the deal. If anyone wants to paypal me $15, I'll send you a men's xxl Meh branded.
Now you can get one even though they are sold out! Isn't that awesome?!?!
@givemeyoursoul and by $15 dollars you mean their soul?
@sp3ar Quiet you fool! They never read the fine print!
If my 2 shirts don't come with a pair of those wicked pissah glasses I am going to rage @joelmw
@sp3ar I'm bracing myself.
@lisaviolet Michael's is my downfall. They have coupons.
@OldCatLady So does Joann's. ;) If you do papercrafts, Big Lots has a lot of close out stuff, too.
@OldCatLady Speak for yourself. This woman has absolutely no idea what the heck you're talking about. My idea of sewing is duct tape and a staple gun. Paint smears, grass stains, and a little motor oil are the usual decorations.
@OldCatLady I have no idea what those words mean. But my husband knows how to iron!
@Thumperchick: @humper's one step ahead of a lot of guys, then. What @OldCatLady is talking about are rhinestone transfers and using them to customize a shirt.
I have to Meh it as there is only one size left to buy... Womens Large.... What The Meh
Waaaahhhhh!!!!! Only WL's left!!!!!!!
I am so bummed I missed this.
Found the .gif of @dave modeling from waaay back in the days at shirt.woot, WS to M2XL.
@narfcake ha - good times remembered.
@snapster Soooo ... can you recreate those good times? Pretty please? Because I ... uh, might run out of shirts to wear.
@narfcake what blanks are second best to AA these days - is there a consensus or still very hit & miss?
@snapster or just hire @narfcake as your shirt consultant and set him loose on the top-secret project
@narfcake $4 tees from Walmart hold up waaaaay better than the Woot/Anvil tees I bought this Summer.
@nadroj Which one is softer, though? At $4, I'm leaning towards it being carded open-end cotton instead of combed ringspun.
@narfcake Of all the shirt nerds in the world, you may be the shirt nerdiest. And we love you for it.
@narfcake t-shirt nerd!
@narfcake I have no idea, but I'm sure most are the 2000s. I'm not too worried about softness, because they last forever. I have shirts I have worn for 10+ years, without a problem. The only reason my Anvils will last so long is because I have so many, they won't get worn but maybe once a month.
Does anybody know the estimated shipping date?
@nadroj I got my shipping date here: https://meh.com/orders
@YahSah15 @nadroj All I'm seeing is the order date and that the order was placed.
@joelmw I will try. Not as good at this as you young folks.
@YahSah15 Weird. I have several orders and none of them show shipping dates on that page. Most have tracking numbers but this one doesn't.
@brdubb Thank you for the suggestion. I have a UPS My Choice account but wasn't aware FedEx has an analogous service.
@nadroj Something apparently broke. (Completely and totally broke.) FedEx rejects my address, and that's no joke. Something apparently broke.
@YahSah15 the accounts just auto add your shipments coming to you and send notifications to you. It's helpful if you get a lot of packages as it automated part of the process.
@nadroj the FedEx version is no where near as helpful as ups but it still adds the data. (If it lets you add)
@nadroj @joelmw @brdubb @YahSah15 Hey y'all, these are going to take a little while longer to ship out because there was a bit of a delay in getting them printed. No need to fear, I believe anything that wasn't already shipped should ship early next week.
@JonT Thanks, mine are in Atlanta - just a step from home! :)
@JonT must be the fault of @joelmw
@JonT thanks. I wasn't worried. Merely curious.
still curious
@JonT have they all shipped by now? I still see "Label created" for my tracking number with "Anticipated ship date : Mon 1/12/2015" on the FedEx site, and no status updates. If they're en route and FedEx isn't updating that's one thing. However, if they're still sitting in the meh warehouse, that's a different problem. Thanks!
@JonT Label created on the 12th and still no shipping date. That's 11 days and counting :-(
@kevin8er It looks like several of these have shown up without the label ever updating. Maybe give it a few more days to show up?
@Thumperchick @kevin8er mine came on a new # for some reason ... FedEx shipping manager FTW.
Deleted, too much info posted.
Sort, not too computer savvy.
Earbuds delivered. Shirts in Atlanta. Adapters in transit.
@YahSah15 'Sorry' not 'sort'.
Would like to give a thumbs-up to meh's tracking system. Better than any other site, because FedEx and usps tracking numbers are tied together. At other sites such as amazon and eBay I have to search separately when smart post hands off to usps.
@YahSah15
Any word on when the blank ones will ship? ambitious-rickety-bromine
@akorozco You need to give them time to print the... wait, never mind.
@dave Whose fault will it be when they all have "BLANK" printed on them?
@SSteve It would be @joelmw's fault.
@SSteve I'd actually buy that!
@dave Thanks for following up Dave, no worries.
@BootlegCraig @cengland0 @SSteve I'd buy that too. I'll happily take the blame if that happens. Like "meh," "blank" is one of those understated, under-appreciated and yet powerful expressions.
@akorozco @dave Slow things down is what I do.
@BootlegCraig @cengland0 @SSteve
I'm really digging my shirts. SO said it looked much better than the usual shirts I get and actually had a neck line.
@Outofmymind Must be use to Woot shirts.
@theco2 I'm noticing that in the Glen videos, the neckline on @matthew's Not So Action Packed shirt has gotten stretchier over time.
@narfcake No surprises on that one.
@narfcake or is my neck shrinking? HMMMMM?
@theco2 Indeed, what is weird about woot shirts is some do ok, some are absolutely horrid. I've bought shirts with them that after a hour literally fell off almost from the neck stretching out to a 55 gallon drum size. Others ( usually black ones ) last awhile. Used to order 2 a month to wear at work, but haven't in months due to the quality. Now AA shirts if Meh decides to start doing it again would see 2-3 purchases a month from me. I destroy shirts painting/tiling and whatnot and always need more.
Got a small and fit almost perfect. Sleeves were a lil tight but was an easy fix.
@Keyeno Small? I haven't been able to fit into a small since I was in elementary school.
@theco2 I stopped growing while in elementary school. lol.
I bought two of the Meh shirts, on different orders and BOTH seem to be stuck in FedEx's 'Shipment information sent to FedEx' land, for almost a week.
WHAT THE HELL FEDEX?
Just got my two XLs, impressed with the quality, the logo is very understated. A++ would buy again.
Yes, what Headly said. Keep the tone-on-tone approach.
Got my two XLs today. The damage on the discounted shirts is subtle, so I don't feel too self-conscious wearing them out in public.
Not meh just crap! After waiting 2 wks I have my "xl" shirt which would not fit a child. I write this as I wear my well printed attractive woot xl shirt that fits with room to spare. I'm sorry but this is bullshit.
@smoo99 Did you heed the warning about the sizing in the opening post? Coincidentally, I did post some WXL specs in a different thread.
@narfcake 'sorry, men's size. Should I have less concern?
@narfcake btw my collection consists of 2 count them 2 t shirts, both fine woot designs.
@narfcake I've always wondered where you generally live that your Goodwills are full of woot shirts. It sounds like some kind of paradise.
Wow. People already have their "Meh" shirt? My printed shirt didn't ship until the 13th. Another week for me.
@ninkumpoop Feel fortunate, there are still some of us waiting patiently for them to ship - even though I've been charged and the package manifested, it hasn't left the warehouse all week - it sits there, taunting me, laughing.
@Pavlov same here.
Got my Meh shirts and have to say they are truly meh. The 3x men's is not bad. It's just, you know, meh.
Due to the unfortunate black hole that exists between Carrollton, TX and Little Elm, TX (20 miles by car, 6 billion by USPS) my shirts have gone AWOL. They "shipped" on Monday.
@tightwad I think the black hole must be Carrollton itself, I'm just a couple of miles from Mediocre and have no idea when mine will get here
@tightwad Mine still don't have a Fedex status. I figure if they don't arrive by February I'll start thinking about sending an email to customer support.
@parodymandotcom Single or multiple shirt order?
@narfcake multiple (2).
@tightwad I'm in Richland Hills and my label has been printed. A week ago. I should pick it up on my way to work before they lose it.
is there a holdup with these shirts? my tracking # hasn't updated in over a week now.
@CozzaFrenzy Single or multiple shirt purchase? I'm wondering if the singles have gone out first (easier) and the multi packs are coming afterwards.
@narfcake aaah, yes. multiple.
@narfcake I ordered 2 large then went back and ordered 1 XXL, I received the 2 large and a few days later I received the XXL.
I had a multi order and a single order and all have arrived.
@Ignorant That's because you're special. :P
@CozzaFrenzy My 2-shirt order has been in "label created" mode for a week. Standing by to receive, need something disposable to wear when I swap out the lead-acid batteries in the boat.
@Sarahsda Disposable are promo shirts from radio stations. meh shirts are for when you're feeling indifferent - so be nice to them.
@narfcake 1. You're right. 2. They still have radio stations? Wow.
Got the shirt...it's meh
Mine got stolen right out of my mailbox. I'm heartbroken.
@faken1 Oh, that's so disappointing and horrible.
@faken1 mediocre thieves are the worst
@RogerWilco I feel like if they were mediocre thieves, I might have caught them.
@faken1 You need this mailbox
@faken1 Was he wearing a black shirt?
@faken1 If you want a women's xl it's yours for the asking.
@Thumperchick I accidentally pressed send before I was finished typing, so if you refresh the full story should be there now.
@faken1 I'm speechless over your neighbor's guts ...
@smoo99 thanks for the offer, but I'm good.
@faken1 Wow, what an asshat. I'm glad you got your stuff back.
@faken1 did you get your tools back?
@Ignorant Yeah, I guess I should have bought Sundays tool set, huh?
Still sitting here patiently waiting for my shirts to arrive...still in label creation status. Nothing, absolutely nothing.
@studerc Yep. Right there with ya.
@studerc checked FedEx tracking and apparently my label was created on the 12th. Still sitting over in meh labs I guess. Maybe they just enjoy looking at their labeled shipments too much.
@EasyElric Mine too :-(
@studerc mine too
@studerc same here.
@EasyElric Mine as well.
@EasyElric In the same boat.
@Dad i too am in label-created limbo since Jan 12.... At least my 30 neoprene sleeves are in transit
@Mehntok same here
@Dad I'm thinking since there are so many of us in "label limbo" that they just haven't gotten a batch of these orders out the door yet. The shirts take a while to print and come in, then meh gets them out the door, slowly.
@Dad Me three. Maybe @JonT or @hart can update us
@Dad @Mehnotk @tightwad @Thumperchick @Alien88 Sorry for the delay, y'all. Those 150,000 pieces of Built NY are being finished up today and the last couple batches of shirts should roll out by the end of the week.
@Thumperchick I understand. It's just my body was not made to go around shirtless in this weather.
Or any weather for that matter.
@Dad If you grabbed the Built NY deal you would have lots of sleeves.
@JonT odd. My shirts showed up today even tho tracking still says label created.
Mine are here! checks tracking and still at Meh?
No tracking for Fedup or USPS but the package is here.
Still haven't received my order, been three weeks since i ordered. Stuck in "Label created" hell at FedEx.
@damacster Yeah it's taking a while for reasons, see above and above that.
@glindagw it will just get meh-ssy again
My shirts showed up today! The black on black looks great!
@Thumperchick my shirts dont have enough room for my enormous areolas, I'm disappointed @JonT.
@er1c boooooo! bies...
More of same size & brand = lots more of my $$$
@UgaDogCH so hope it isn't 100% cotton and then shrinks in the dimension you don't want it to shrink in.
@er1c I'm working remotely so I can't say for sure, but as far as I know, that's how it generally works in Texas.
I've gotten over the size issue because I can wear it without a bra and it holds my boobs in place.
Nobody will ever see me like that, but it's way more comfortable than a sports bra for lounging at home.
I might start buying too-small t-shirts for that purpose.
@HELLOALICE giggity
Any updates on shirts shipping out? My order is still in label created phase.
@conandlibrarian So are mine; I'm sure they'll get here ... eventually. They have until valentines day to be faster than woot, at least.
@conandlibrarian meh loves tugging at heartstrings, just when all seems lost, they will come through.
@conandlibrarian Still in "Label Created" hell. Today makes it 28 days since i ordered. No shirts, no updates, nothing.
@damacster Mine never did update - but my shirts did show up. I hope that's how it goes for you, too!
@Thumperchick thanks! here's to hoping they just show up!
Here's hoping to more Meh shirts in the future.
Mine just shipped!!
@StrangerDanger @IMURZRO congratulations!
The black-on-black really does look great. This has quickly become my favorite Meh/Mediocre shirt. I like it a lot.
Mine shipped! Should be here this time next week. I hope we get some long sleeved meh shirts soon. I miss the long sleeve woot shirts.
@LadyLeela Mine did too! And I agree, long sleeve shirts would be nice too. Maybe a long sleeve Irk shirt?
Yes, long sleeves!!!!
@LadyLeela More than just meh shirts would be nice too. Hear that, @snapster?
@narfcake I keep hoping for an announcement. I choose to continue believing that meh starting the new year off with a meh shirt was an omen.
@narfcake This is at least to me a mysterious obsession. Glad you got the shirt which never even made it over my head. Enjoy the meh-ness.
@narfcake Hey any progress on the Tesla shirt you were sending me as a trade? I want to give it to my daughter whose birthday fast approaches.
Meh, seriously though. Joking aside, it's been four weeks now since the order was placed and I still do not have shipping information. I would really like my shirts.
@studerc My VMP trial will expire before I get my first purchase. :(
@DJ No joke that.
@CozzaFrenzy mmm marinated apathy is my favorite.
I went to meh.com on New Year's and all I got was this "label created" thing.
Meh...
@Al_Coholic @grobbins WOOOOOOOW. I have yet to receive my initial order.
you feel bad? I'm feeling mad. and sad. thinking about the things that I never had.
@CozzaFrenzy ... but when they come, you'll feel glad.
@Al_Coholic i hate you. (not really)
Day 30. No shirts. But hey, at least my label has been created.
@damacster I think those created labels have been slapped on boxes and those boxes are on their way out the door.
@JonT my order has been in "Label Created" status for 18 days.
@damacster mine turned 18 today too :)
They grow so fast...
@Dad how long until they leave the nest?
@Dad LOL. Humor helps.
@dave wore mine to work today - two people loved it. Everybody waiting will eventually be happy.
@dave @djames85 Yeah I agree, the shirts actually look really good.
@dave thank you!
@dave i got mine today. happy my experience can be concluded. Thanks for reminding me that meh does eventually follow through, except @JonT...still waiting on that goat prize. Oh, also the rest of Fuku 3 you guys forgot to put in my box of two things. But who is counting?? :)
@dave many thanks for the update.
@dave So when should we expect shipping to update? Mine is still in "label created" hell.
@dave The black on black turned out great. I really like it.
@dave any news?
Tagging some of you who have been checking in recently, I just posted an update.
@damacster @Dad @WTFhqwhgads @grum @CozzaFrenzy @Al_Coholic @grobbins @DJ @smoo99 @studerc
@dave I'll believe it when I am wearing it!
@dave Need me to drive by and pick it up after work? It's labeled with my name on it.
@dave Thank you!! My shirts arrived today, I appreciate the gray/silver t-shirt. It was not necessary, but a nice touch.
Great things coming for those who waited. These shirts are comfy and good looking.
@mehjohnson I tried that but it just smeared even worse. My Meh. is now Me which is why I think it is defective.
@Outofmehmind Have you tried fire?
I just finished unpacking my second shirt order. (I only ordered once). Thanks, meh. The wife loves them for night shirts.
My shirts arrived today. I love the black on black look. Almost a sparkly matte look, if that makes sense. Subtle but amazing! So glad I ordered 3.
Ours finally arrived, thanks Meh.
Mine is still in the label created stage. Am I the only one still waiting?
@zacatac Read this
@zacatac Here is another one...
@zacatac Mine arrived without the tracking updating.
@zacatac Still waiting, and I live pretty close to meh. :)
FedEx
'nuff said
@zacatac Nope, you're not the only one. While we wait, we can all sing that song from Snow White: "Someday My Shirt Will Come".
@DJ if you live close and are still waiting, I'll probably get mine in 2016 being from PA.
@parodymandotcom Hey, my shirts arrived! And FedEx is still in the "label created" status. Hopefully everyone else is seeing theirs show up.
After waiting four weeks for three t-shirts, I just received an 18-piece glass drinkware set. Can I just get a refund please?
@akorozco I too got a drinkware set. Now I just need some wine!
@akorozco @tardoman Ack, yes, a few additional quirky warehouse mix-ups here.
Is your shirt too small? Does anyone want to trade their women's XXL for a men's XL?
@glindagw I don't think meh offered a W2XL ...
@narfcake There's one listed in the sizing chart so I was hopeful. A Women's XL would also work.
@glindagw Are you looking at the general sizing chart meh linked or the 2102 sizing chart I linked somewhere up this thread? I traded for a WXL, but as I also shown, it's slimmer than a size MM.
@narfcake I'm hoping that it will fit like the old school Woot AA shirts.
@glindagw That they will. I'm down for another trade. Send me a PM over at woot.
Just to note that meh wouldn't be meh without doing something meh - one of the 3 I received was the earlier silver on black edition.
When are more shirts coming out again?
@narfcake did you get 2 black on black shirts and one silver on black? We totally meant to do that...
@JonT Yep. I was amused by the mehness of it all anyway.
I love my Meh shirts but I have to coordinate wearing them with my husband. We've had a couple of days where we find we both chose to wear our Meh shirt so one of us changes. I don't want to look like one of those douchey couples who wear the same thing on purpose.
@ABitterWoman That happens to us, too.
@Thumperchick I probably wear them too much anyway. They are soooo comfortable.
@ABitterWoman @thumperchick enough already..don't want to hear how comfy they are until mine actually leave Texas! all I can say is, at least mine are new in the package still, whereever they may be.. :)
@ABitterWoman So you have the K one, the black-on-black, and the flasker shirt?
@dashcloud there was also a silver on black.
@dashcloud Yep:) I always buy as many as I can. 3 of each when possible. Less if not possible.
@mikibell Hope you get them soon!
@ABitterWoman thank you!
@ABitterWoman @thumperchick @jont My shirts arrived!!!!!! As I expected there was a huge pile of Meh deliveries on the front steps!!! Luckily, hubby wasn't home to see the pile.
@narfcake Congrats on getting the shirt thread to 500+ posts!
@dashcloud Getting closer to my Woot shirt count! ... not that I have any idea what I'm up to. BUT @fishbiscuit catshirts!! Purple!! AA!!
@narfcake What's with the 15 per customer limit? That's a strange number.
@dashcloud I don't remember when they increased that, but is was definitely after the Purpleaplooza event because I was only able to buy 6 Fresh Cakes.
I like purple.
Which goat should I blame for my shirts still being in "Label Created" status, the goat from January, when I ordered them, or the goat from some potential future month when they actually arrive?
@djugurba My 3 arrived without the tracking being updated.
@djugurba Mne also arrived without tracking being updated.
Thanks for the extra shirt. Worth the wait.
@DJ Yeah, same here. Came on to say the exact same thing. Really cool! I'm a mehliever!
Wow so today I got my shirts +1. The +1 which doesn't really match (silver/grey meh) the rest and is a different size than the other 3 I ordered.... I will definitely pass on any further clothes from Meh.
@rahlquist So what you're saying is you got a free bonus shirt that doesn't fit, so you're not going to buy any more clothing?
Still waiting, no shipping info, another disappointment
finally got mine today. Los Angeles area, for those of you who may live near my smartpost hub. Expect yours soon.
@Collin1000 Strange that your shirts look a week longer; I'm in SoCal too.
@narfcake @Collin1000 as am I.
Fedex informed me I got a package today, the shirts I ordered. I find this odd as I have already worn those shirts on 3 occasions.
So I received my shirts today and instead of the two I ordered I got three! I'm not sure if this was by mistake or on purpose, but either way it's awesome. A great addition to my meh shirt collection. Thanks meh!
@JimCil On purpose, but it didn't feel right suggesting it was a bonus or anything, just hoping it lessens the annoyance of the sale.
@dave You guys are the best, thanks!
Is it bad that as of this posting, I posted or was mentioned 118 times in 550 posts?
Also, when are more shirts coming? And more than just meh or mediocre shirts ... it's been over a week since I bought a catshirt!
@narfcake Hey what's up with alleged Tesla shirt?
I got them. I finally got them. With the extra shirt too!
My wife loved her shirt, they are undoubtedly...meh.
Good job guys, our valentine's day outfit came in right on time.
Keep up the good work (no sarcasm, I promise).
It's been a month and the package still hasn't shipped yet (tracking #: 74899998245223866039).
Usually my orders from Meh arrive at my door within a week of ordering, but this one month (and counting) wait is just ridiculous.
Do I win a prize for having the longest wait time for a Meh purchase to ship?
@on Nope, because mine hasn't either. However, a new order for the shirt magically appeared on my order page today.
@on Mine either. And I got a new order too... I guess my shirt shipped at last. I hope that new order is true not like former fake one.
I so need to see a meh shirts daily page made with blanks that actually fit! (hint, not anvil!)
@on @grum @adonas and any others still waiting: I'm seriously embarrassed by this. It is awful service, to the very users we should be serving best - people who want to wear our shirts. I am sorry for the ridiculous delay and repeated uncertainty about your order. I hope you (finally) enjoy your shirts and thanks for sticking around.
@dave I am just happy I'm getting a shirt, late or not. =]
Thank you to all the staff! Expect my Meh love video when I have my shirt to wear in it!
@dave
@dave Fine, I just hope to get my shirt eventually if it is delayed or not.
@adonas From what I can tell, Wednesday. Fingers crossed. Let me know otherwise.
@dave Thanks for finally shipping my shirt to me :).
But the Meh logo is white... I thought that we were supposed to get a black on black design...
Oh well, I guess it's still a shirt.
Thanks for the extra shirt. Very Meh and worth waiting on. :)
@Cwhitaker You got an extra shirt?! I just got one shirt and the logo was the wrong color... Pretty meh after waiting for 6 weeks but nice to see that Meh is giving people extra shirts for the wait.
I think Meh just has something against me xD
@on Oh! you get your shirt finally! You lost. I don't get my shirt yet....maybe I'm the last one.
@Cwhitaker 4 more showed up today. No complaints! My dad got 7 extra shirts including the ones with the silver logo.
@StrangerDanger why do you guys get so many extra shirts and I only get 1?!!!
And it's the wrong color (factory must have messed up or something)!
I got a BLANK shirt!
So - I've figured out now that I did an impulse buy 1/1/15 --
And...the orders page must only cover 2015 - since that snazzy shirt in my drawer (and the other with my son in college) doesn't appear there. Color me confused, but satiated....as far as t-shirts. But those socks will be nice to try out in this frigid MN winter!
Mine still hasn't even shipped yet... Kind of losing hope here. FedEx: 74899998245223864844
@thomasrzhao Check again. Looks like you had the wrong tracking number, but it was delivered on 2/18 at 5pm. I've updated tracking on your account.
I missed this sale :( Will have to get it when it hopefully comes around next time...
Looks like your color scheme caught on. http://click.email.thinkgeek.com/?qs=7d434d05cd012a536d36a6adb83fc9c1444ed68ba7bfe93cdd5384e32a9ae0a366dba9491ea1300d
I love my shirts...I was wearing my yesterday and my son was wearing his as well (didn't see him until evening, not planned etc).
Mine still hasn't shipped. The FedEx label was created on 1/27/2015 but I still haven't received the shirt.
Thanks for the random set of glassware though. That was nice. :)
@lilpaox hate to break the news to you, but it shows as delivered on 2/3/15 :( Is there any chance it was delivered to a neighbor?
@JonT There are two tracking numbers on my order. 74899998245224261123 I did receive on 2/3/15 however I received a random box of glassware and not the shirt I ordered. The other tracking number 74899998245224244560 just shows that a label was created but never sent.
@lilpaox something weird happened but a new shirt is already on it's way to you. Sorry about the trouble.
My meh shirt met another meh shirt in a high-rise elevator (Bass Towers). Did the usual friends/enemies/frenemies posturing for a bit, then all was well.
Now my meh shirt wamts more meh shirts at home for companions. Only 3 live here so far. 2 few.
Loneliness is such a sad affair.... :(
