Alexa, enable Meow!

OldCatLady thought this was worth mentioning said Mon, Dec 26th 2016 at 5:30pm ET

A virtual cat lives within Echo. You can chat with Alexa in cat language; enable the ‘Meow’ skill, and say ‘Alexa, meow’. My cats came running to stare at the speaker. I said meow, my cats answered me, which started Alexa all over. I’m doubled over laughing, eyes running. Hey, it’s a slow day.

  I played this video and my local Alexa chimed in. The cat and the people and the Echo in the vid were all meowing and also my Echo and I.

- @f00l @communist There ought to be a way to get Google Assistant to chime in. I have a perfectly good Samsung smartphone I’m not using, and a whole bunch of small BT speakers. I may have to stay with OK Google, though.

  Well Google Assistant is only available on the Pixel and in Allo.

  Well yeah, if you want to root. I personally am a fan of it, however, not everyone is, so I don’t always jump immediately to suggesting people root.
