The flights I’ve been on had barely a 1mm deep circular indention let alone 1cm. While I’ve never spilled my drinks on a flight, on the ground however it’s a different story. Maybe there is something to the saying about you being safer in a plane? Boeing on the other hand, seems to be working hard at equalizing that apparent disparity.
If having drinks spilled on me inflight was the biggest thing to worry about as opposed to doors popping out, tires falling off during takeoff and engines catching on fire or exploding, then I’d almost be ok dealing with the ridiculous TSA, high ticket prices cramped seats and lost/stolen luggage.
Is it just me or does Coke with those round ice “cubes” (that are in the shapes of tubes) taste better on a plane than anywhere else? Then again, I only drink Coke when on a flight, so the comparisons are limited.
