Living in South Florida, we get guests all the time, especially from November to March. Not too many in July and August, though... (For some reason, the spouse keeps inviting people.)
@olperfesser I lived in Miami for 10 years. Our house was basically a bed-and-breakfast all year long. We moved back to NJ in 2004 and haven't had an overnight guest yet.
Some years we have no one staying, this year I feel like a hotel. Latest guest is my 79 year old mother. Guest bedroom is upstairs and she can't climb the stairs so we convert the living room to her bedroom when she visits. (Pssst. Send drugs! Send booze! Send help!)
I very rarely have overnight guests as I've outlived the majority of 'em (hoot!).
depends on how quick I am with the ether rag...
@clonetek chloroform is more fun.
@clonetek What, you don't dispose of them immediately?
If you buy a house without any extra bedrooms and keep a very uncomfortable couch in the living room, you don't have to have overnight guests.
@iluvmingos Nice, in theory, but I end up sleeping on the couch. The cats are very confused to say the least.
Do vermin count?
@theco2 Only in base seven.
@gertiestn Why not in base thirteen?
@gertiestn You win today.
Is hosting an overnight guest the same as exorcism? I get the two confused. All I know is they never come back so I must be doing something right.
@chr Naw, exorcism is when they go home.
I have an overnight guest any time your mom is feeling frisky : P
@gilar1ja Dude, my Mom is 80. That's like... charity.
@gilar1ja My Mom's idea of "feeling frisky" is putting her teeth in.
@gilar1ja Dad?
@PocketBrain Elderly people need love, too.

I live in Tuscaloosa, Roll Tide, so in the fall people are coming by every home game but not so much in the spring.
I think I answered the survey wrong, is a still-living-with-us 2-year-ago college grad offspring a 'guest'?
@RedOak I think the word you're thinking of is "pest".
@JonT we still love her. Does anybody have a job opening for a Cornell grad, who recently got her RD (Registered Dietician) cert?

@BelyndaG I'm so sorry...
Every night. We hope one day they reach majority and move out but in this day and age it's anyone's guess...
Do dogs count?
@Headly Up to five, apparently. http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/canine-corner/201103/do-dogs-know-mathematics
@rockblossom Interesting.
Do kids count... As vermin or dogs?
@BearSox yes
Nothing important.
