5Today is Kid in the Hall Bruce McCulloch’s birthday, which reminded me that I haven’t recently checked to see if Brain Candy is streaming anywhere I can watch it. It’s not.

@Barney I mean, it doesn’t really remind me of the movie, which, granted, I don’t remember all that well, and it’s just so extremely mid-'90’s. It’s charming, but doesn’t fill me with a mad desire to marry a soundtrack album.
There’s a reason I’m not in advertising.
The scene from the movie that really stuck with me was Kevin McDonald’s character being pressured into awkward dancing on a talk show.

@mossygreen I had just finished watching the movie and noticed that Siskel and Ebert had done a review on it, so I watched that, too. Siskel loved it – Ebert hated it. I mean he really hated it. I was more on the side of Siskel, although parts left me going, “What?” But overall, I really liked it and, yep, I’d watch it again. I give it a .
