@conandlibrarian TWD just continues to draw you in season after season. Fear is good but requires some patience for the story to develop. It definitely starts off slow. If for no other reason, watch it for the character Victor Strand, played by Colman Domingo. Colman is an old friend of mine, and an amazing actor, playwright, and now director. I can happily say I spent my 21st birthday getting drunk with him. (In a bar that we had all been going to for at least a year before that. They were a little surprised when we said I was celebrating my 21st.) He absolutely makes FtWD worth watching.
@cinoclav He’s truly the one outstanding thing about that show. I’ve fallen behind and just can’t seem to find the desire to catch up. He’s the only thing i miss.
Fear is not as good imo, it is a cool show, and I have high hopes for the next season, but… it seems it follows a pattern to me… it does a good job for the first 3/4 of each episode then the end isn’t right. They don’t understand/apply the twd classic cliff hanger. I still watch it, but TWD is better.
My advice is to save it until you catch up with TWD and there are no new TWD.
Haha. Speaking of late to the party - I just started watching Downton Abbey. And Scandal. Both really good, on these two the hype was right!
Sorry, TWD is still somewhere down my list of shows to watch so I can’t help you.
Still haven’t seen Breaking Bad or Mad Men, either.
I just had to pull this zombie thread to the top to say…
They seem to have gotten the formula correct. Season 3 really feels like the walking dead to me. If you like twd but didn’t like fear give season 3 a try.
Even later than you. But wanna watch it. Ant show where the zombies win a lot had gotta be good.
@f00l generally speaking the Zombies don’t win, it’s usually other humans causing issues that puts the zombies in an advantageous position
@jbartus
So long as Zombies get some serious action in, I’m good with it.
It’s fine if they get destroyed in the end. After all, only Zombies. And there are always more Zombies.

@KDemo
I’ve so far gone I’ve never seen TWD and Breaking Bad and am behind several seasons on Downton Abbey.
Mad Men is effing astonishing. Still only halfway thru the final season tho. That’s the thing about binge watching - it can burn you out.
@KDemo I’ve never seen Mad Men either. Or Sons of Anarchy.
@KittySprinkles SOA was soo good, but you have to be okay with absolute brutality.
@KDemo I have yet to watch Downton Abby or Scandal. I have heard good things about both.
@conandlibrarian Oh I’m fairly certain I’m ok with brutality
@KittySprinkles
@conandlibrarian
Re Brutality
I think @KittySprinkles watches these shows in part to see if those characters can teach her new techniques, or if she could teach them.
I agree with @cinoclav. Fear is a little slow in developing the story, but once you get there it’s quite good.
and don’t forget Z Nation. great zombie show tasty doesn’t take itself too seriously. I’m way the hell behind on that one.
@carl669 I love ZNation!! My prized possession is a signed print from the cast.
If you haven’t seen iZombie yet, you really should go watch it- it’s awesome, and has a good take on the genre, with lots of brain eating.
I was a little late to the party… of stopping watching The Walking Dead. I should have stopped seasons ago. Thankfully I skipped this one.
@ELUNO It does get slow around season four, but definitely picks up.
