@unksol Well they are at least staying at home. That is more than can be said for some others. With those not staying at home it is likely too late for Darwinsim to work all that well. Many of them have already procreated.

I called my urologist 2 weeks after the procedure because I thought something was wrong because it HURT. I’m not sure I agree with the baby boom… I mean, the kids are at home too and they’re annoying the parents more than usual. Seems like pretty effective birth control.
Edit: but I suppose couples without any kids might be smashin’ more than usual.

@jst1ofknd @medz Right now with both of us having to trade off on taking care of the kids and trying to work as close to full time as we can manage, my wife and I are barely seeing each other.
I’m at work today while she’s keeping the kids. Tonight we’ll put the kids to bed and then work for a couple more hours.
It sucks.
I’m kind of envious of people with actual down-time right now, but I know I should just be grateful that we’re still both employed.
We just had our baby girl right when all this started. Not fun. Came home from the hospital to the stores being out of everything. No food, no diapers, no visitors, and working from home on top of that. This is rather miserable.
@RedHot In my storage unit I have a pile of cloth diapers (the kind with the diaper pad that slides in the waterproof part of the diaper) I was going to sell at the now cancelled consignment sale. If you want me to hunt for them and mail them to you (unfortunately I’d need postage reimbursement as I live in hud with food stamps, but the diapers can be free) I can do that.

@Kidsandliz That is an amazing offer and I’m grateful there are people like you out there. We have been lucky enough to have family and neighbors looking out for us, they’ve kept us stocked for the last week. We do plan to switch to reuseable diapers when she gets out of the newborn phase. Thank you again, that really is an amazing thing to offer someone you don’t even know.

@RedHot I was happy to make the offer. In one sense I am paying forward help I have received in the past, including from people I didn’t even know. You were in need, your need was important and immediate. I had something that could help. If all of us helped when we could the world would be a better place. Glad your family/neighbors are looking out for your family. If later you need them just say something. If I still have them then they are yours.
@Kidsandliz @RedHot Yeah, I can’t imagine having a newborn right now.
That said, from my experience the newborn phase is the best time for cloth diapers. That’s when you’re going through 12+ diapers a day, you don’t have to worry about daycare yet, the poop is still really easy to clean off, the baby isn’t strong enough to fight you too much during a change, and the diapers make great burp cloths.
