9450 props
2My props just came in.....they are very nice! Very similar to the oem 9443 prop but stiffer. Ill get some flight on them soon and see how that goes.

Just did the first flight.....they fly pretty good, you can get it to bobble if you're hard on the sticks especially the rudder, but its also very windy today so that might be a factor.
But get this! I just got 19 minutes of AGRESSIVE flight, keep in mind i dont have the gimbal and gopro on it but the vtx and iosd are on it. The stock props gave me about 12 minutes without the gimbal.
@nltownsend843 wow! Do you have the 9443 props as well?
@garyhgaryh
I do have a set of 9443's too, i tried to get a flight time on those the other day but the mosquitoes ran me off.
Oh i forgot to mention these 9450's are incredibly quiet, i hear the motors over the props.
@nltownsend843 would you be able to run the same test on the 9443 props? The reason being is that I was under the impression the 9443 gives better flight times than the 9450, but it's all hearsay to me.
@garyhgaryh
What ive read is the order of flight time is 8".....9443.....9450.
Now this is the new "thrust boosted" prop could be different than a regular 9450.
But anywho, i just flew the 9450's with the gimbal and camera loaded and running with again very aggressive flying. It came in at 11 minutes where stock props gave 8 minutes of hovering.
i never checked with the other props but these climb at 6.1 m/ps in gps mode and the video gear installed.
@nltownsend843 How do you differentiate the 9450 and the 9450 thrusted? On two videos they rated the 9443 as being more efficient in terms of flight time (more of it) than the 9450. I think I will order a set of 9450 thrusted. Are the trusted one with the painted tips?
@nltownsend843 Oh and where did you get it (vendor)?
@garyhgaryh honestly i dont know the difference (if any) other than they were listed as thrust boosted. They have them with no stripes and/different color stripes......i got the red ones because they matched the quad.
Ill get you a link for the ones i bought .
If you knew how bad the mosquitoes are right now you wouldnt ask me to do it lol.
But i went out to test the oem 9443's and got ten minutes. I also notice while the 9450 bobbles with hard rudder the 9443 get bad prop wash on decend and will lose the ability to lift for several feet.
Theses are the ones i bought.

@nltownsend843 for the same price why not buy direct http://store.dji.com/product/self-tightening-propellers guarantied to be legit props :)
@nltownsend843 Thanks for taking one for the team! The mosquitoes can be annoying. Well, if the test conditions were similar and you got 10 mins from the 9443 and 11 with the 9450 and 8 mins with the stock p1 props on a fully loaded phantom, then I take your word for it and will look for 9450 props. Thanks...
@nltownsend843 You had to buy two sets right? If I purchase only one, i'll get two props. Thanks!
@DJMajickMan
Because shipping from dji is $20
@garyhgaryh
Correct you need two sets.
@garyhgaryh
With all the rain we've had its real bad.....i cover myself with off.....and they still go for my eyes.
I can do some more test and see how long each prop will hover. But i dont think you can go wrong with either 9450 or 9443, they both have there pros and cons, but i like them both and recommend yall get both sets as well, its not like you'll throw one set away.
@nltownsend843 good point hadn't gone to check out
Im doing some hover testing now. Two props done waiting on the third battery to charge now.
Well i got some interesting results from the hover test.
All test were done with a phantom 1.1.1, upgraded main board, iosd mini, walkera plastic gimbal, gopro hero 2, immersion 600mw vtx on board running off the main battery (except the gopro).
I used three separate fresh charged stock oem batteries.
I plugged in the p1, gimbal, iosd, and vtx all at the same time then waited for gps lock, after lock i started the timer and immediately started the motors and climbed to about 10 feet then let it hover in gps mode until it auto landed.
Flight times are;
8045's....8:54
9443's....11:07
9450's....10:17
Its strange the 9450 did better with agressive flight and the other two did about the same as agressive flying. The 9450 is definitely a sportier prop with better response to the sticks, so maybe thats why the excel in spirited flight, i also used my oldest battery on them (it may have been better to use the same battery on them all.
But in all i still say you cant go wrong with either, id say im more scared of the 9443 loosing the ability to lift out of a decent than the 9450 bobling with hard rudder.
@nltownsend843 If you ever find yourself with a spare 15 minutes, I'd be curious to hear what flight time would be using one of the other batteries with the 9450's.
@nltownsend843 I think you are onto something here. From every prop test I've reviewed, the 9443 always came up on top. I havent yet seen any aggresive flying test with the 9450 (it's prob out there). I think on certain conditions and/or flight styles, the 9450 can get better flight times as it's more efficient when it's moving around. Probably more so than the 9443s since the 9450 are made for aggresive flying and it probably takes less energy to move from place to place with the 9450. I think both props are good but in real life flying, you're gonna be flying around. If you're out there just to take pictures/videos then the 9443 is probably better since you're most likely going to spend time framing vs aggresively flying. But then again, some people love to take videos when aggesively flying :).
@garyhgaryh
Alright i just tested the 9450 with a different battery and got 10:30.
Just for shits and giggles i did the same test with the o-xoxo 9443 and got 10:12.
But they sucked at hovering it was drifting 8 feet in all directions.
@nltownsend843 So your initial test results seem to stand. I'd say a 10 to 15 second variance is well within tolerance for the somewhat uncontrolled test environment we have to test in.
I just ran the oem 9443 again and got 10:55
@nltownsend843 Thanks for the info! You running prop guards?
@garyhgaryh no prop guards
Micro center has 9450 pairs for $6. Shipping kind of kills it but I'm going to do in-store pick up. http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.aspx?sku=829234
@sportykev dang it I wish I'd seen this earlier I was in Microcenter picking up an UPS for a client today.
