I got the ones from last time. Anything with pineapple in it was weird, it was almost cheese-y and not in a good way. I liked the banana one, tasted rather like banana bread.
@sammydog01 BANANA WITH PECANS & PINEAPPLE COCONUT CACAO (not to yell, that’s just how it copied from the order page). This time, I am getting the variety pack. I’m willing to try any of them. Especially chilled, they are fantastic.
@Kyeh@mossygreen@sammydog01 I also got the banana with pecans in the last order but it’s not offered this time. I’m getting the mango pack and the variety pack this time. Too bad the mango chili sold out already
I can always add chili and/or salt and/or chocolate and/or coconut if I want to, so the plain pineapple and mango seems to be the logical choice. I might add coconut and chocolate and cinnamon to the pineapple; douse a strip with Ghirardelli syrup, sprinkle with coconut and cinnamon, roll, refrigerate briefly to set the choc, eat.
I got these last time and I just finished eating one of the organic pineapple with coconut that’s drizzled with cacao, OMG was it delicious! The other flavor I have is banana and pecan which is just as good but without the tanginess.
I was camping or something last time, and they’d sold out by the time I got a chance to even see it. I was sad — it’s one I would’ve jumped on if I’d been able to.
Maybe it’s better this way. If I’d bought them last time, I’d probably feel guilty buying them again… and I think I like the flavor selection better this time. (except that the mango chili sold out immediately)
/giphy average-bustling-jar
But I was curious what the price as last time… so checked mehstalker. Apparently it hasn’t been keeping up on things. I don’t use it very often, but I thought it was pretty trustworthy?
Forced to do my own math, then, I find that the last batch must have bee three-and-a-half bucks cheaper… if everyone got free shipping. But I’m glad I got to participate in it this time.
Pretty expensive for an unknown (to me) food product on Meh. I’ve liked all the meat sticks so far, so I’ll bite on these fruit sticks.

We know you all love the variety packs but offering those and the individual flavors makes for a challenging inventory situation. We misjudged how much you all would love these and figured we’d have until this morning to re-adjust the inventory to get the right combos built based on what was remaining.
So…we mostly caught it in time. A few (5-10) of you may be getting an email with a need to change your flavors (and a coupon for future use of course), but it also means we’ve used up our afternoon reserve. I hate to do either of those things, but since we’re not able to find any more of these it’s the best we can do.
The (eventual) good news is our buyers will see how well these did and we’ll be on the hunt for more of this type of thing.
Ugh, I’m so disappointed I missed these. I’m just finishing up the last batch and they were so delicious that I really was hoping to catch the next sale, but I was super busy today. sob
Received mine the other day, was worried about them having been in full sunlight for hours at near 100, but they are exceptional. Probably going to squirrel them away from my family despite how many there are.
@Kyeh the variety pack, of which I have tried pineapple, mango and cacao, and banana and cacao. They are all delicious. I think the banana and cacao is my favorite because it’s not as sweet as the pineapple.
Mine came today, presently hidden from the kids. (I let my wife in on the secret, for my continued health and happiness.)
In short: as good as I expected & hoped.
The pineapple coconut could’ve used more coconut, in my opinion, but I like it anyway. (the pineapple in it is genuine enough that it tears up my tongue a bit; I’ll have to move slower on those)
They’re very sweet, like unto candy (as ripe fruit should be…). But also much more compact than the fruits they originated from.
I just ate a banana, a mango, and ½ a pineapple… now that I’ve met my fruit needs for the day, I need to go balance it out with something in a different food category.

Are you jerking me around with this deal?
I got the ones from last time. Anything with pineapple in it was weird, it was almost cheese-y and not in a good way. I liked the banana one, tasted rather like banana bread.
@Telanis I like the pineapple.
@Telanis I prefer Trader Joe’s dried bananas. Almost like banana candy with real banana flavor.
We got these last time and love them.
@kristoffer Which flavor?
@sammydog01 If the jerky tastes anything like the gummies, I really like the mango.

OBVIOUSLY I bought this again, but same question as last time: expiration/use by dates?

@mossygreen Which flavor? The cheesy pineapple comment is putting me off.
@mossygreen @sammydog01 I enjoyed the pineapple chili and pineapple cacao ones. If you like pineapple, you’ll like these. They don’t seem cheesy to me
@dannokun @mossygreen @sammydog01
I wanted to know more too, so thanks; I also checked the last sale and seems like quite a few people think the pineapple is good.

@sammydog01 We really liked the pineapple, it just tasted like dried pineapple to me. Eating one with chili right now just to make sure.
@dannokun @mossygreen @sammydog01
Okay, you convinced me.

@dannokun @Kyeh @sammydog01 Aw Jayne…
@dannokun @mossygreen @sammydog01
Yeah, the little bird was cute, but I couldn’t pass on Jayne.
I love their fruit gummies, so I wonder if the jerky is as good? Hmmm. Not sure I need 72. I won’t have any teeth left after that.
@heartny they’re not like gummies, think more like fruit leather
@heartny I don’t even have to chew them if I don’t want to, they’re soft enough to dissolve in my mouth. I think they’re delicious!
I have yet to be disappointed in a fruit leather style product or bar bought from Meh. I liked the last Solely bars, I’ll like these too.
I only really want the banana bar that’s being used as an example, and you can’t buy those on their own. Meh.
@simtel20
That’s all I wanted too was the banana. I can’t have much or any vitamin c so the others don’t work for me.
@simtel20 @Star2236 You need to have scurvy to survive? That’s a new one
@simtel20 @Star2236 what’s the story with no vitamin c??
@catthegreat @simtel20 @Star2236 Might be an extraordinary tendency to develop kidney stones. I know someone with that problem.
I got the banana pecan and pineapple chili last time, and thought they were pretty good.
I didn’t find the pineapple cheesy at all. More like cooked pineapple with tajin, maybe a touch spicier than that.
Interesting, but not enough to spend my money.

Meh. No good flavors.
Got the variety pack last time. Love the Banana and Pecans. The two with pineapple are very good, too. Went with a pack of Mango this time.
/giphy myopic-hypnotic-meeting
Noooooo mango with chili already sold out
@wplumleyz Yeah, I was sad to see them gone by the time I figured out what I was doing.
Not gone as quick as an IRK, but still pretty quick.
They must’ve had very few left.
The plain mango & plain pineapple are really good. I’d pick them up if I didn’t have so many left from the last batch.

$5 more than last time - a bit on the expensive side for Halloween treats unless you are adamant about not giving out candy.
And yes- expiration?
In for a variety pack. Had jerky regret last time
/giphy tired-withered-flock
I’m sure I’d love them because I love fruit. Although because I love fruit I’d rather eat fruit.
@OnionSoup Yep - right now we are inundated with apples, bartlett pears and asian pears from our trees, and the food dryer is running 24/7.
That’s a lot of mystery sticks for one order
I always say - There is nothing liked a jerked banana!
I’m interested, but this being meh and there not being a best by/expiration date listed makes me suspicious
Vegan yuppie preppers as a target demographic might be the reason these are on meh
@caffeineguy They wear camo tie-dye.
Interested but… Expiration date?
/giphy needy-grody-paste
Got the Pineapple Cacao last time and half of my house likes them and half can’t stand them.
In for a variety pack this time.
@Thumperchick Yeah, I can’t get my kitchen and bathroom to agree on anything either.
Pretty expensive for an unknown (to me) food product on Meh. I’ve liked all the meat sticks so far, so I’ll bite on these fruit sticks.
/giphy provocative-puffy-chestnut
Love the mango.
/giphy skillful-knightly-fudge
I got these last time. Sad that I am here too late.
Interesting sold out - and doesn’t display the usual “4 pm” message for subscribers/VMP?
Has that benefit disappeared?
Well, this didn’t go according to plan.

@dave i suppose the presumed quality matters here. Bummer about the afternoon reserve
@dave oh no I went on this morning saw them and was going to buy it at lunch and now they’re gone. This makes a sad panda and sad pamby childrens.
@dave There’s a poster for that (of course):
I’m sure this would often be appropriate around Mediochre.
But, IMHO, it rings better in its original dialect:
The best laid schemes o’ Mice an’ Men
Gang aft agley,
An’ lea’e us nought but grief an’ pain,
For promis’d joy!

ugh, sold out before 7AM in California feels like a targeted attack on me. Can i speak to the Meh Manager?
So is this what people mean when they talk about vegan leather? Could I make a purse out of them next time they’re offered?
@lisagd Only if you like having small children and other hazards nibbling holes in your handbag.
No more 4:00 stash?
@steelersluver check out this comment.
Ugh, I’m so disappointed I missed these. I’m just finishing up the last batch and they were so delicious that I really was hoping to catch the next sale, but I was super busy today. sob
And now I’m glad I pulled the trigger last night.
@werehatrack I thought about sleeping on it but had to assume that the variety pack would be sold out by morning.
Mine got canceled. I has a sad.
Received mine the other day, was worried about them having been in full sunlight for hours at near 100, but they are exceptional. Probably going to squirrel them away from my family despite how many there are.
@zehnn Which flavors did you get?
@Kyeh the variety pack, of which I have tried pineapple, mango and cacao, and banana and cacao. They are all delicious. I think the banana and cacao is my favorite because it’s not as sweet as the pineapple.
@zehnn I’m the opposite - I like the pineapple ones best!
Got pineapple and mango.
For once, I do not anticipate having leftovers of a Meh-sourced snack.
Mine came today, presently hidden from the kids. (I let my wife in on the secret, for my continued health and happiness.)
In short: as good as I expected & hoped.

@xobzoo Doritos?
@pakopako @xobzoo Doritos were a fave for me before they started listing canola as a possible ingredient.
