@gertiestn@ircon96@lisagd Would you actually buy panties from meh? Serious question - I can’t imagine my wife buying them online, but maybe she’s just extra picky.
@gertiestn@ircon96@lisagd Can’t believe I’m the only person out there than think about taking that “throw us ladies a bone” and make some suggestive comment. But it is Monday and I am taking the high road today.
@gertiestn@ircon96 Too much variety for a deal site? Men’s underwear comes in cotton or viscose if you feel kinky. Women’s underwear also comes in plastic, scratchy plastic, and looks like cotton but isn’t. Each of those also in seamless, with laces, with extra laces, with stupid designs, and with extra stupid design choices only a man could have thought of.
I picked up the 9-pack that was offered during the May 4th mehrathon. Normally I wear medium, but I trusted the advice offered in previous threads and ordered two sizes up to XL. They fit nicely. Definitely order at least one size up, probably two.
@Felton10@The_Tim I agree on sizing. I went up from Med to Large. I’m OK with the large, myself, but I’m sure Med would’ve been way too small. I’m 5’11 185 lbs.
These are great…comfortable, breathable and don’t ride up. So far no issues running em through the washer and dryer either. Definitely order atleast 2 sizes larger tho!
@cthobbit@mwarren Companies refer to it as bamboo because that sounds nice and green. The reality is different, with the bamboo requiring a chemical process that uses some seriously nasty chemicals, chemicals that are only about 50% recovered. The rest pollute the air and water.
So the issue is that rayon and bamboo viscose are both bad for the environment, but the latter tricks people into thinking it’s not.
So are these any good to wear or what with all the chemicals they use to make Bamboo pulp into material for underwear, shirts etc? Or… Will my balls explode in a week?
I too took the plunge last time these came up, got 9 pair. Ordered up a few sizes (actually probably one size too far, but they still fit nicely), have been washing them with towels (so no fabric softener) and either line dry them or pull them after 15 minutes in the dryer. That’s not so much extra work. They haven’t caused undo sweat, discomfort or “ball explosion”. I’m pretty pleased. And my wife says they look nice, BEFORE SHE RIPS THEM OFF ME!
@enville I never use fabric softener, though I do use color safe bleach (oxyclean) and detergent. I also have a combo washer/dryer so it does not get as hot as a regular dryer, and it is more steam than anything to dry. They come out fine. And yes, definitely check the sizing, as they are about two sizes too small.
It looks like meh called me out by name (I’m “harborvu”) in today’s description for my prior commentary on these ball baggers. Specifically, I was quoted as saying “I bought these last time with low expectations…”
I confess to making that statement due in part to confusion with the many refurbished items sold over the years on meh. My fear was that the underwear received might be of similar, undisclosed refurbished quality. Not only did that turn out to be untrue, they are quite comfortable, as later admitted in the same review. Mine came with no evidence of erasure of prior skid marks as part of some refurbishing process.
More important, due to the extremely low cost of purchase, I no longer need to get my underwear on long-term lease and can now buy outright. So I purchased another seven-day supply on order number fluffy-fretful-whale . If they last long enough, I hope to avoid signing any more underwear leasing contracts for at least the next couple of weeks.
These are great underwear, But definitely heed everyone’s advice who says go two sizes larger. I am normally either L or XL, depending on shrinkage factor, so I went with XL. Those were too tight. Next time around, I ordered them in XXL. Perfect! Comfortable. Holding up well, and I wash them in cold followed by 12 minutes in the dryer so they’re damp and then I hang them.
Just do it!
I got these last time they were here. I didn’t read the comments and ordered them only one size up from my usual and they are indeed a bit snug (but they still manage to be comfortable). I’d definitely go 2 sizes up if I ordered again. The material is excellent.
I’m a fan. Very breathable, comfortable, don’t ride up and easy to wash and dry. I agree with the other comments though, they fit a bit snug so you’ll probably wanna buy one size up.
Well. I just bought these again. They do fit a bit snug. I went up a size this time. But overall, this is a great deal and a good stock-up-for-later kinda thing.
I am a big dude, like 300 lbs big. Saying that to say these are the most comfortable underwear I’ve worn in a long time. I liked them so much the 1st time I bought them, I went back and bought another set next time they went on sale. I will say the sizes are a little funky so I went to the companies website to confirm what size I should wear.
Yes, exactly the kind of notoriety I have been seeking. So, having had them for a while they (the shorts) are holding up well. They don’t hold much water after a good spin in the washer so hanging them to dry does not take long and they are still silky smooth. So, passing grade on durability to this point.
As for “How are they hanging?” I think the whole point of the shorts is: They don’t.
Happy to help.
I bought these for my husband the first time around and they look fantastic on him! He says they are very comfortable so I ordered them for him again the next time and also ordered some for my son. Definitely order 2 sizes up! I have washed and dried them in the machine every time with no issues! Highly recommend!
My hubby likes the pack I bought last time. Got him a small and he usually wears a small. Fit fine. Look fine. Washed and dried fine. No issues with sweat. I’d say these are normal undies and great for the price. I’m in for another pack.
These are my favorite boxer briefs. I’m placing my third order today and slowly phasing out my older, inferior underwear. Check the sizing chart first and then get ready for something silky smooth between your legs!
I bought these a few times ago; 42-44 inch waist so I bought the 5XL boxer briefs as recommended by their sizing chart and they’ve worked out just fine.
I normally wear xl, bought these in 3xl based on size chart and they fit great. Very comfortable. The only drawback is they make noise when your legs rub together. Not enough of a downside to not buy them in fact, I plan on getting more while they are available.
Same as the rest. Great underwear, buy two sizes larger than you normally would. Feel great, they don’t ride up or down. Bought two sets of 9 already, otherwise I would jump on these. Very good quality for the price.
Each pair comes in a fairly thick plastic bag, and making fabric from bamboo is very resource intensive, so they’re pretty much the opposite of eco-friendly. With this said, they are comfortable, they look nice, and they didn’t end up in a landfill.
I normally wear large, which is what I ordered, and they fit perfectly fine. The elastic bands got a little wavy at the seams, but with my experience, this seems to happen with my other pairs that have lasted quite a while.
@Pinfar I was just like that also when I bought my first set. I wish I hadn’t been so into the size. I was supposed to wear 4x, and I was too prideful, so I bought six sets of 3XLs…yes, that’s right…SIX SETS OF NINE (I know how to multiply, btw). My phrasing sounds more dramatic than 54. Anyway, I later bought 4XLs ever since but I must stretch each pair of the 3XLs with water, an iron, and a waist-stretcher. Pinfar, buy them at this price and buy the correct size. You will love them!
Bought these for my husband the first round. He loves them so I bought them the 2nd time too. I think 18 pairs is enough, though I’m thinking about getting 7 more! He’s usually a medium, but I went with a large, just to be safe and I’m glad I did. The waist of a medium might have been ok, but the thigh would have been a little tight.
I love these underwear. Super soft against the skin, breath well in the crotch, the band is the perfect size. I live in Florida, so I try to go commando as frequently as possible, but when I have to exit commando-mode, it is a pleasure to slip on a pair of these wonderfully comfortable underwear.
I bought two sets of these previously also and love them. Wearing them right now in fact. They mostly sent me dark colors, which is fine, but I got one bright yellow and no exciting patterns.
I was a 32" waist until the pandemic and now 34" with like 40 unwanted lbs. I sometimes wish I’d gotten XL instead of L, but they are comfortable anyway. I like them fitting snugly to eliminate chafing. They are super thin and have a stretchy undercarriage part which never bunches up or pinches my legs or groin like bulky cotton boxers.
Bamboo seems to leave me more comfortable than petroleum fabrics, which is also nice.
I wash our whole family’s underwear, towels and sheets on “Allergen” mode (germ-killing hotness) and these get that same treatment. I have not noticed any degradation in the material or fit in the handful of washes they’ve gotten (I have 18 pairs, so don’t wash them often) and I will continue to do so. The price is still fair even if they don’t last forever due to this.
One gripe, and this could just be me: I feel like if it’s a particularly sweaty or perhaps post-chili-eating sort of day (if you get my drift) these thin undergarments are not terribly absorbent and allow more of the stale and stink through to my jeans than cotton or cotton blend underwear do. Like I want to reach for the Febreeze or wash my jeans a bit more often than I might otherwise.
FWIW, I am in the habit of changing into loose-fitting cotton boxers for bedtime, which is nice on my waist and thighs.
Despite the one shortcoming of being less stink-blocking, these are the best underwear I’ve ever bought.
Amazing underwear. I own a lot of Duluth underwear and I like these a lot more. There is room for your manly parts in these. Wish I would have ordered more packs.
Just got these. As before, the size is very inconsistent. Though I may have finally found a pattern: the ones that fit better (not necessarily correctly) are in a bag with a plastic zipper. The ones in the fully sealed bag are at least 1 size smaller. For comparison, I wear 31-32 pants, and a L from the previous sale was too small. XL for this sale is better, for only 2 of them in the zipper bag. The rest I’ll try but I expect to be too small.
Stretching the Waistband…
This post sounds like a scam to get you to buy something, but I promise it is real, I am real, and the 54 pairs of nonreturnable too-tight Comfort Republic briefs I initially ordered are also real. Meh does not accept returns on underwear, and I understand why. I wore a few pairs, and the waistband kept rolling over. I’m not thin, and I wish I looked like the models on the former Comfort Republic website. If any of what I write sounds like your situation, read on.
If your ego got in the way of ordering the correct size, as mine did, I discovered a solution to making your briefs fit VERY comfortably. There is a product to stretch blue jeans on Amazon, and about 3 or 4 different manufacturers make it. It is a wooden blue jeans waist stretcher. It is literally two wooden half-circles with long adjustable screws connecting them. The concept is very simple. You take wet blue jeans, place this device (cost is about $25) in between the waistband, and increase the distance between the half-circles. Leave the jeans to stretch and dry overnight. I put mine by the basement dehumidifier. Here is the best part: it works on these briefs also!!! It is so easy. I handwash, then use fabric softener in the rinse (I think it reduces pilling by reducing friction and it increases softness), and the band is VERY easy to stretch over both ends. Naturally, adjust it bigger than your waist. I stretch them each time they dry overnight just to keep the waistband flat, and the device does that beautifully as well. This gadget discovery may be my favorite life discovery so far. I know I will use it in other ways to stretch other clothing items.
I got the 6xl for my son…
Are these American sizes?
He usually wears a 5xl but these are still WAY too small…
I have to hurry now and find him another set of underwear in time for his birthday.
I am startled and surprised to get a meh purchase that didn’t work out.
@drakestark68 They’re Asian-system sized. 6XL is approximately a US XXL. There was a size chart link in the specs, but they really should have been a lot more emphatic about the need to look at it before ordering.
@Ishmel Practical answer: First, make sure they don’t fit. These run small. (Check the size chart if you didn’t do that prior to ordering.) If they’re really too big, contact meh.com/support
@customers Just a last minute heads-up here, these bamboo briefs are on Meh again today in case you need another week or two of undies (and feel free to join in with others posting reviews)
Yeah a bit tight but I love how it lifts the boys up and forwards without being restricted… it’s the way I imagine a bra works… so now the boys aren’t hanging between my thighs getting crushed!
Thumbs up… I sized up two sizes as recommend… This is every bit as comfortable as the more expensive brands of bamboo underwear I’ve purchased from Amazon.
This was a good find Meh!
If Comfort Republic sells bamboo tshirts, that would be a buy from me if you sold them at a likewise reasonable price!
Love the colours in the pack too! Because not seen by the outside world, I wish more underwear packs came brightly colored.
I love these underwear but when I ordered them I used the sizing chart supplied and they were way too small. The next time they were up for sale I ordered up 2 sizes like others suggested and they fit great. I wrote to MEH asking if I could return the first unused pairs and never got a response.

lol fighting the “something went terribly wrong” fight for 30 seconds for undies
Let me be brief, these things make terrible margaritas.
@yakkoTDI But at least they come in Georgia Red
Could these things prevent a blowout?
For my thick-trunked brethren, trust the sizing recommending a size up. Maybe 2 up, if you’re also thicker elsewhere.
They are very comfortable. And apparently fine in my washer on normal wash.
At my age am waiting for the deal on “Depends”.
Air dry in the shade
Are these made for vampires??
Oh, Meh. You seem to think that undies come only in the male variety, just as you think that pets are always dogs.
@gertiestn I was just thinking the same thing, they never offer women’s underwear. What a sausage fest!
@gertiestn @ircon96 I’m fine with the pets being dogs, but yeah, Meh could throw us ladies a bone now and then. (See what I did there? )
@gertiestn @ircon96 @lisagd Would you actually buy panties from meh? Serious question - I can’t imagine my wife buying them online, but maybe she’s just extra picky.
@gertiestn @ircon96 @macromeh Sure, if they were a brand/style I wear. What’s wrong with underwear bought online?
@gertiestn @ircon96 @lisagd Can’t believe I’m the only person out there than think about taking that “throw us ladies a bone” and make some suggestive comment. But it is Monday and I am taking the high road today.
@gertiestn @ircon96 Too much variety for a deal site? Men’s underwear comes in cotton or viscose if you feel kinky. @gertiestn @ircon96 @lisagd @macromeh
I probably wouldn’t.
@Felton10 @gertiestn @ircon96 @lisagd
Maybe we just didn’t feel like acknowledging it?
@gertiestn @Kyeh @lisagd @macromeh I definitely wouldn’t, cuz I don’t buy “panties.”
@gertiestn @ircon96 @lisagd @macromeh
That is an icky word, I agree!
@gertiestn @ircon96 @Kyeh @macromeh Yeah, what is it about that word that makes it sound creepy and sexual at the same time?
@gertiestn @ircon96 @lisagd @macromeh
It sounds infantile as well, which adds to the creepiness.
@gertiestn @ircon96 @Kyeh @macromeh Yes!
@gertiestn @ircon96 @Kyeh @lisagd
Jeez, whatever you prefer to call them, you really should avoid getting them in a knot over it.
@gertiestn @ircon96 @Kyeh @macromeh I don’t have any to get in a knot because Meh doesn’t sell them.
@gertiestn @ircon96 @lisagd @macromeh
So nothing comes between you and your Calvins?
@gertiestn @ircon96 @Kyeh @macromeh lol
I picked up the 9-pack that was offered during the May 4th mehrathon. Normally I wear medium, but I trusted the advice offered in previous threads and ordered two sizes up to XL. They fit nicely. Definitely order at least one size up, probably two.
@The_Tim Does that sizing apply to your schmeckle also or only your waist?
@Felton10 @The_Tim I agree on sizing. I went up from Med to Large. I’m OK with the large, myself, but I’m sure Med would’ve been way too small. I’m 5’11 185 lbs.
That seems like way too many laundry rules for underwear. I suppose at least they’re not dry clean only.
/youtube Mitch hedberg dry clean only
Also, who irons their underwear?
@djslack Iron Man.
@KevinS10 yeah, you got me there. I suppose he probably does.
@djslack Someone who wants hot pants?
I just want to know why clothing companies exaggerate the retail price when no one ever pays that… Or do they
@chiefbugbung Kohls is the best/worst at doing that crap…with everything they sell!
@JvB and it works well for them.
Are these only for men? Asking for a friend.
How many other options are you looking for @hchavers?
These are great…comfortable, breathable and don’t ride up. So far no issues running em through the washer and dryer either. Definitely order atleast 2 sizes larger tho!
Okay MEH, no real size chart?
Big guy here 42-44 waist… if I order 3xl and they don’t fit… then what?
@jonjen2 I think 3x would def. be too small. Id go with atleast 4x, maybe even 5x.
@jonjen2 Well they are individually packaged, so does that mean you can return the 6 unused ones?
@jonjen2 the sizing chart is linked above. https://intl.shopcomfortrepublic.com/pages/size-chart
@jonjen2 I went one size up and that was the right decision.
@jonjen2 I’m that waist size and bought the 5X briefs. Fits perfect for me.
@jonjen2 I’m a 42-44 and got the 5XL boxer briefs one of the times they were offered and they worked out great
Bamboo = Rayon. Don’t be fooled by greenwash marketing.
@mwarren Not sure what the issue is here. Rayon is just the original name for the man-made fabric, but it’s make from bamboo fibers.
@cthobbit @mwarren Companies refer to it as bamboo because that sounds nice and green. The reality is different, with the bamboo requiring a chemical process that uses some seriously nasty chemicals, chemicals that are only about 50% recovered. The rest pollute the air and water.

So are these any good to wear or what with all the chemicals they use to make Bamboo pulp into material for underwear, shirts etc? Or… Will my balls explode in a week?
@bugger Your balls will not explode in a week. It’s at least ten days before that happens.
@bugger @harborvu Not if you are attractive.
@harborvu ok ok. Then I’m I for 2
I too took the plunge last time these came up, got 9 pair. Ordered up a few sizes (actually probably one size too far, but they still fit nicely), have been washing them with towels (so no fabric softener) and either line dry them or pull them after 15 minutes in the dryer. And yes, definitely check the sizing, as they are about two sizes too small.
Why do some have bulges and some don’t?
@Helmet0987 I feel seen. Actually, just the opposite. I’m now going to cry in the corner.
@Helmet0987 Some of the models were more excited about wearing them than others?
It looks like meh called me out by name (I’m “harborvu”) in today’s description for my prior commentary on these ball baggers. Specifically, I was quoted as saying “I bought these last time with low expectations…”

@harborvu The specs say they’re new, so you should be safe. Tell your fluffy whale not to fret.
I bought these the last time they were offered when they were a little cheaper. (approximately 24 cents cheaper per pair)
First, DEFINITELY look at the sizing chart before you buy them. 4XL is a 40-42" waist so the sizing is definitely “different” from what I am used to.
Second, I REALLY like them. They’re quite comfortable.
Third, I have been putting mine in the dryer with no ill effects.
Fourth. I am seriously considering buying more.
These are great underwear, But definitely heed everyone’s advice who says go two sizes larger. I am normally either L or XL, depending on shrinkage factor, so I went with XL. Those were too tight. Happy to help.
I’m wearing these right now. They are great. I’m now waiting for Meh to put some equally high quality socks on the site for sale.
@kaz0084 are you posting from inside the warehouse? Put those back in the box! Those are for the customers!
@djslack @kaz0084
Umm… used undies for sale then?
I bought these for my husband the first time around and they look fantastic on him! He says they are very comfortable so I ordered them for him again the next time and also ordered some for my son. I don’t care how nice they are. I’m not buying size 5XL anything while I still have a tiny bit of self respect left.
@Pinfar I was just like that also when I bought my first set. I wish I hadn’t been so into the size. @Keron You still can! They’re part of the Mehrathon, $2 cheaper - click below:

@MaxxTheBatX Well, what does your tracking say?
Stretching the Waistband…

Ok, so what do I do if they sent me the wrong size? I ordered medium but they sent large
@Ishmel Practical answer: First, make sure they don’t fit. These run small. (Check the size chart if you didn’t do that prior to ordering.) If they’re really too big, contact meh.com/support
Anyone notice that some of these have the front label sewn on as a patch instead of silkscreened? The ones with the patch are MUCH less comfy.
@customers Just a last minute heads-up here, these bamboo briefs are on Meh again today in case you need another week or two of undies (and feel free to join in with others posting reviews)
@dave already purchased a pack this morning! thanks for the heads up though! Now I’m getting my fingers ready for the 2 day mehrathon!
@jlazojr Unfortunately they probably consider it “intimate apparel”:
