I got these last time they came up. They’re interesting. Unfortunately, one of the bottles broke in shipping and the box was soaking in the juice. It was quite the cleanup. Otherwise, they make good drinks.
@sstaver Interesting. That is not a word that makes me say “cannot go without such.” It was a pass previously which has shifted towards an affirmative no.
@whomeyesu@troy I’ve tried all three, yes. I’m not a huge alcohol drinker to begin with, so my opinion may not hold a lot of weight. I would say that for the price, it is 100% worth checking out.
@Tiamat114 Best to first bubble the water, then add the flavor. You can do it the other way around, with some cleaning involved.
The weird lavender might be ok in a dry champagne - which you can make in a soda stream
Just use very cold wine, don’t open it right away after bubbling. After a few minutes open it slowly, clean the soda stream by bubbling some water right away.
and sweet wine turns into dry champagne by the way.
@formfeed@Tiamat114 I cannot believe I have never tried this in my many years of streaming soda. I almost drink sweet wine though so sight grateful for that pro tip. Gonna pick up a bottle and try it out ASAP.
@Tiamat114@Vee19
Just be very careful. It has more than the potential of creating a mess.
You have to let it sit, than open it just a quarter turn. Immediately it will start foaming. You close it right away, let it calm down. Try again… Takes a few attempts to get the champagne out of the machine.
Sweet white works well.
For mimosa: Orange juice concentrate or cranberry juice concentrate. Just a spoonful in the glass with the champagne poured over it. (Or of course Meh-shampoo)
Also got it, 3 boxes since we like to host. and we also had broken bottles. Flavor wise they were all good and we enjoy the flavor. Including as a mocktail. The sweater weather is better for the cold season - hence the name - from a flavor profiles, the other two make decent summer drinks too.
Margarita - I approve.
Got these last time, only tried the “Hey Girl” so far. Disgusting! Tasted just how it smelled, pickle and vinager. Pickle overpowered any boose you put into it. Dumped it. Opened “Bouquet” for the smell test, smells like rose hand soap. Expectations and low. Need to get some champagne.
@lilsrm123 it’s not pickle. It’s just old cucumber… like if you “pickled” a cucumber by leaving it on a moist towel for a couple weeks. Cucumber doesn’t belong in drinks, except for maybe a glass of water. But even then, not old cucumber. Sweater weather was pretty good with bourbon though.
Got these last time and I’d say they’re worth it, but all my bottles survived. Hey Girl is tasty and works well with gin or rum. Sweater weather makes a solid toddy. If you’re a sodastream household just go ahead and pull the trigger.
And the cats make a point of knocking glass bottles off the counter. (So we don’t put them there.) (At least, not near the edge.) Yes, yes, I know, they’ll come pre-broken so that I don’t need to be mad at the cats or disgusted by the smell and/or flavor of the mixers (not that the flavor matters when they’re all over the floor), but it’s so much easier to just pull out a jar of expired bouillon cubes (I’m sure there’s still one lurking somewhere) and find it revolting for free than to pay Meh for delayed offense when the FXG delivery guy drop-kicks the sodden box to my porch from the curb.
Has anyone tried them in just water? I was thinking the cucumber mint one might work. I love cucumber water and lemon water. I don’t drink with the occasional 1 hot toddy once or twice a year.
I got them last time. Hey Girl is really good with gin and a splash of tonic. Sweater Weather, which I expected to love, is just sort of odd. I’m sure there’s a good use for it but when I tried it with bourbon it was not good. Planning to try rum next. I wouldn’t touch the lavender/rosewater/whatever one with a ten-foot tongue (and therefore didn’t order it).
Got this last time and think they make pretty good drinks, but all were better with the addition of soda water (except maybe sweater weather…haven’t quite figure out how to make that one work). The rose lavender with mezcal was surprisingly nice.
I bought these last time but they got lost in the mail I kinda reluctant to order them again, I don’t know if it was life telling me I don’t need anymore shit delivered to my house right now. I really did want the lavender rose one though.
Mixed up a Sweater Weather the other day with some Tincup whiskey. Pretty fantastic for how low effort it is, imho. 1 to 1 ratio, add ice, stir, delicious.
Reminds me of fresh apple cider at the orchard on a brisk fall day then sorta with some Twisted Tea / Brisk ice tea vibes going on in the background.
@connorbush update. just mixed the Sweater one again but this time with an anjeo tequila. Still decent but not as crispy tasty refreshing as with the TIncup whiskey

Been there; not done that.
This shampoo again?!
@yakkoTDI I thought the same thing. I wonder if the sweaty leather flavor is good for your skin…
Why would I want my hair to smell like apple cider?
Any conditioner to go with these?
All I see is shampoo.
still no

@sstaver Interesting. That is not a word that makes me say “cannot go without such.” It was a pass previously which has shifted towards an affirmative no.
@sstaver interesting…ly good drinks? I haven’t tried these yet but sounds like I should. Have you tried all three flaves?
@whomeyesu @troy I’ve tried all three, yes. I’m not a huge alcohol drinker to begin with, so my opinion may not hold a lot of weight. I would say that for the price, it is 100% worth checking out.
@sstaver same thing happened to me. CS handled business and made it right as per usual. top quality, not very mediocre, service.
@sstaver at least you got yours, I guess? Mine got “lost” in the mail and I had to request a refund.
I think someone might try making a Cucumber, Mint, Lime margarita.
Eh, whatever. I’m game to try these in my sodastream. Worst to worst I end up with overpriced glass bottles.

Yesterday, underwear for with plenty of room. Today, Hey Girl drink mixers. Oh, I get it; this is the month of the Woman. Wake me up when it’s over.
@hchavers your sad existance is due to a woman. Get your head out of your rectum and maybe you’ll wake yourself up.
@hchavers what a fucking dork. I hope no one wakes you up and you “sleep” the rest of the year. LOL.
@hchavers ok hater.
@gregormehndel @hchavers @ked8517 @laurengx3

“Can they make margaritas: Sigh”
you say that like its a bad thing.
Why do people want to use long features from the wrong end to mix their drinks?
@hchavers
a beak would be better??
Better in a drink or a diffuser??

@lilsrm123 sounds like although they havent reached the “best buy” date they’ve gone bad (if they were ever good to start
)
@lilsrm123 @warpedrotors
@blaineg @lilsrm123 @warpedrotors

But watermelon doesn’t make very good tea sandwiches.
/image tea sandwiches
@Kyeh @lilsrm123 @warpedrotors
SWMBO loves cucumber. But she’s English, so I think that’s required.
@blaineg @lilsrm123 @warpedrotors
English cucumbers are better, too.

Got these last time and they are disgusting. Probably be better as shampoo.
I don’t consume many mixed drinks or sodas, and two of these have negative appeal because of the rose and lavender. Even harder pass than last time.
@werehatrack make that rose, lavender, and cucumber.
And mint. Do Not Want mint in my beverages.
Or sweaters or moaners.
Or rosemary or bay leaf, ewww, no. Not making soup here.
And the cats make a point of knocking glass bottles off the counter. (So we don’t put them there.) (At least, not near the edge.) @werehatrack
Not a mojito fan, I see…
Cool the shampoo is back!
Has anyone tried them in just water? I was thinking the cucumber mint one might work. I love cucumber water and lemon water. I don’t drink with the occasional 1 hot toddy once or twice a year.
Disappointed
when I make a cocktail, I use fresh fruits and botanicals; I can’t imagine using this to make drinks for my wife and friends.
The Bouquet has been great. I got this last time and have already gone through a bottle (this and Vodka
) with friends.
@benoit36 yall have friends?! ok, humble brag
Got this last time and think they make pretty good drinks, but all were better with the addition of soda water (except maybe sweater weather…haven’t quite figure out how to make that one work). The rose lavender with mezcal was surprisingly nice.
@midstarrynight Mix it with hot black tea and whiskey. If you’re into that kinda thing.
Easy to see how these ended up on Meh. Meh.
These were awful. I didn’t enjoy any of the flavors. I tried mixing with various types of liquor. Not impressed…
j37hr0 - You were quoted in the write-up. Sweet.
@Trinityscrew Actually, called out in the write up would be more accurate.
@Trinityscrew Not quite a throwdown, but…
@Trinityscrew You should really say: @j37hr0 so they get notified.
@blaineg @Trinityscrew what’s that now?
I bought these last time but they got lost in the mail
I kinda reluctant to order them again, I don’t know if it was life telling me I don’t need anymore shit delivered to my house right now. I really did want the lavender rose one though.
@Star2236 this exact thing happened to me last time they had this deal. I wonder if they will actually send the mixers this time.
@ked8517 @Star2236 They probably were sent poorly packaged (as is Traditional), broke in transit, and became unsafe to handle.
@ked8517 @werehatrack
I guess that makes sense. I didn’t reorder. I figured it was the world telling me I didn’t need them lol
Oh, will y’all actually send people the mixers this time, or if I order them again will they mysteriously never get sent a second time?
@ked8517
Did you contact support and did they make it right by refunding you?
Maybe no use at all, but SWMBO likes all of these, straight. (Well, ok, diluted.) Sometimes carbonated, sometimes not.
