@hammi99 OK I blame you for everything from global warming to a shortage of canned cat food. Including that a “I know better than you” pissing contest over lumens, light temperature, and rechargeable battery composition didn’t break out over today’s offering. You’re welcome.
Just for comparison, the Costco online “deals” mailer (not the in-store ones) shows “PM Lighting professional landscape lighting kits” which use low-voltage LED lights powered by a 100W AC transformer which can supply 20 lights (you need AC power for this, not solar). The 3W “path lights” are 200 lumen, and the 5W spotlights (for shining up at trees or structures) are 320 lumen. But the set will cost you $400 (after $100 off) and need installation and wiring…
But don’t get any false impression that a “3 lumen” light is going to light up your garden or pathways. It will just be a little glowing thing for a few hours each night after the sun goes down, until the NiCd battery goes bad in a year or three, and then you can replace the battery, which will cost you more than the power you saved from the “free solar” these are getting.
As expected, these came in various states of disarray and it took an hour alone just to get the damn stickers off the posts. These are really really cheap. Never again!
Less than 5 months after purchase & installation, 5 of 6 lights no longer work, or the light output is so minimal that you can only see it from up close. I have other brands that work well after two years. I hoped these cheaper lights would work, but in this case, I did NOT get what I paid for. DO NOT BUY!

I could use something like this to light up my trunk.
Recycled sunlight. It’s not really a new thing.
I don’t buy anything under 1 million candle power
@bugger you know, in case a plane need to do an emergency landing on my front yard. Yep. I’m that ready for it
Not my usual 6-pack. Sorry.
Last day of my goat-dom! Blame me for something!
@hammi99
You mean like the fact that these are over $1 a lumen??
@chienfou that’s a start!
@chienfou @hammi99
So Meh altruistically bought out all these so they could sell them to us at $4 each?
@chienfou @phendrick yep indeed! They are trying to help with “transitory inflation” . . .

@detailer that’s more like it!
@detailer @hammi99
Hadn’t heard about the cat food shortage.
@hammi99 I blame you for solar path lights always having plastic stakes even though they brag about their metal construction!
@kostia no no! Wait a few more hours then blame the new goat! LOL
Are these any better than the ones I get at Dollar-ish Tree?
@heartny if it’s more than a dollar a lumen then yes!
/giphy fans self
Sams had a special on some solar lights six months ago, and they are really good (shine all summer night long). I wish I knew if these were the same.
@hchavers blame the goat if you don’t know . . .
@hchavers
/eightball are these the same?
Very doubtful
5 bucks less with an Irk coupon!
/giphy selective respective toddy
@somf69 … that you paid $5 for!
[just a friendly reminder]
One lumen seems really low… Is that normal for these things?
@ohhwell
Pretty much, for the ones that will illuminate for more than just a few hours after sunset.
In for three packs of steel. Who knows, maybe these will actually work.
/giphy excellent relaxed magician
@mcvick
/8ball Is this going to end well?
Ask again later
@mcvick @werehatrack
/8ball Is this going to end well?
Signs point to yes
@werehatrack @yakkoTDI UPDATE- I will never know if the lights work because the order was just cancelled due to inventory issues. Maybe I dodged a here
I’m used to buying the $1 jammies from Walmart, how do these compare? $4 per is kinda steep for me…

Put them out - all but one don’t work.

What were the price of these? Could have sworn I bought 12 but 6 showed up…
Well, I got 3 broken lights…,how about you
One of the lights does not work, but the five that do are good!
Pure junk. Waste of money. None work.
Came with a couple broken….
These are the worst. out of 6 lights 2 work.
How do I get my money back?
@Georgie_D These do come with a 90 day warranty, so if you haven’t done so already, contact Support and they’ll help you out.

These solar powered lights suck. Next to zero light is emitted. Don’t buy them and please quit making them, you are just being a pain in the ass.
