Menards has a spool of 200 feet of RG6 for $30, and I have f connectors laying around. I have half a spool of Cat5 laying around somewhere, waiting for me to crimp the ends on when I finally get around to hard wiring my lanterns (I mean cameras). All my cell phones are USB C, and my printer is wireless. I don’t know where I was going with this rant, but I’m there, and I need to take a leak.
@ConcealedPsycho The Arduino Uno and other micro controller boards use those USB cables. Those connectors are more complete than the limited micro ones. And printers still use them.
And wired network connections are still more reliable than wifi.
I am thinking I may need these when the wireless magic stops working. Actually I am just a technology hoarder, who has to have at least one cable of every connector type. But I already have all of these, so Bleh.
@Tadlem43 That or USB to USB-C would also have been enough to swing it for me. Or 3.5mm to 3.5mm is a cable I could really use in braided, since the regular ones of those bastards always get pinchy and unreliable near the connectors.
Those cable types are all old enough that they are readily available from the usual discount vendors. I tend to only need short cables these days. The usual vendors let me choose the type of cable and the length.
The short lengths I use often cost less than $2 each new.
We still use USB 2 A to B for programming the older Lego Mindstorms and some Arduino clones. But, mostly we order Arduino clones with micro USB connectors.
I’m completely impressed! You managed to find the 5 most useless cables in todays world, had them braided and expect someone to pay money for them? You’re fucking hysterical! This is the most useless thing I’ve seen your website sell…EVER! So stupid and useless it made me respond.
Oh, and I tried to buy something last week but your website kept crapping out, does woot own you now?
@narfcake Yes and give me some RS-232 cables that are branded or R-9 if you’re not an AV guy…seriously? PS/2 aren’t used for keyboards anymore but they can be good connection cables if you are trying to merge archaic systems with modern day. You’re a smart one ob-one. k. This is just a stupid “meh”…and Meh sucks when you can’t buy what they are selling because their website won’t let you…grow up.

Whoa, you said Fuck…!
Wore out my mouse button clicking Meh over and over and over and over and over etc etc etc (wait… think I only needed one etc…)
Does the specs section count towards the fuck tally?
why still totally Meh deals? Look. we are in June now!
@nmadhuusa Uh, you do the site is named appropriately right?
@Gypsigirl213 Right. I was able to make the connection today!

@fuzzmanmatt do you terminate your own HDMI too?
@fuzzmanmatt All those cables! Your name wouldn’t happen to be Larry, would it?
@macromeh I did briefly work for at&t installing uverse. It was unpleasant. People are gross.
The only cord in that bundle that someone might still use is HDMI the other cords are obsolete since everything they go to is now wireless
@ConcealedPsycho printer cables are used for DJ equipment too, so that’s something
@ConcealedPsycho @zbapty and external optical media devices often use a USB-AB as well… if this was a dollar I would pick up 3
@ConcealedPsycho …and we all have a bundle of them all in a junk drawer or back room somewhere…
@ConcealedPsycho The Arduino Uno and other micro controller boards use those USB cables. Those connectors are more complete than the limited micro ones. And printers still use them.

@ConcealedPsycho @PhysAssist Yup!
I am thinking I may need these when the wireless magic stops working. Actually I am just a technology hoarder, who has to have at least one cable of every connector type. But I already have all of these, so Bleh.
No USB to Micro-USB? OOOOHHH… you were SO close!!
@Tadlem43 But if you hold one end not so close it’ll look micro, so there’s that…
@nogoodwithnames LOL Gee… thanks.
@Tadlem43 That or USB to USB-C would also have been enough to swing it for me. Or 3.5mm to 3.5mm is a cable I could really use in braided, since the regular ones of those bastards always get pinchy and unreliable near the connectors.
@Tadlem43 A good set of needle nose pliers and you might make that USB-B small enough to squeeze into a micro-USB slot.
@BuffBillsFan lol Yea… I don’t think so. lol
@Tadlem43 Opportunities lost, dude… opportunities lost.
During my bout with insomnia, I was just thinking I should buy some old-school ugly-ass bright green braided cables.
And just before I could hit the buy button, wouldn’t you just fucking know it, my insomnia went into remission!
@Woody1 I think you’re confusing insomnia with insanity if you considered for even a moment buying this Meh.
If this were a pick 5 bundle I would be in. I have no use for the coax for example since cutting the cord.
@Feenix3 Wait… then how do you attach the antenna? Or has nobody told you that there’s a ghost in the air?
/giphy ota ftw
Who da fuck needs this shit? The only one I would use are the hdmi cables are a 12 and 6 inch worth paying the $10 for?
@truquito Foot, not inch. So, actually, yes, I think this deal is worth it just for the HDMI cables.
Except, they’re just about obsolete, since they’re not 4K… On the fence here.
@GeckoD You pay $5 a HDMI cable? Plus shipping? Wow…
Let me introduce you to the fabled https://www.monoprice.com/ Go there now and thank me later.
what’s the upcharge for matching nipple clamps? Asking for a friend.
@alacrity About $!.99, and you can get them even cheaper at Bon… Oh, carp. I was just answering for a friend. Never mind.
Do they have Bluetooth?

@hamjudo
These longer lengths when ordered from meh also appear close to $2 new.
Lovely shade of purple!
/buy
@kphilippe It worked! Your order number is: troubled-courteous-slope

@kphilippe @mediocrebot Whoa. That got real.
@kphilippe @mediocrebot
interesting article about the HDMI 2.0 spec on CNET…too bad its published date is 2013…https://www.cnet.com/news/hdmi-2-0-what-you-need-to-know/

I thought the site was called “meh”, not “seriously what the fuck is this garbage”.
@uwimage
@uwimage So a DB-25/Centronics printer cable, a DB-25 serial cable, RJ-11 phone cable, and PS/2 keyboard extension are more useful than these?
@narfcake Yes and give me some RS-232 cables that are branded or R-9 if you’re not an AV guy…seriously? PS/2 aren’t used for keyboards anymore but they can be good connection cables if you are trying to merge archaic systems with modern day. You’re a smart one ob-one. k. @uwimage Your argument is invalidated by the presence of the HDMI cables…everything else though
@PooltoyWolf meh…Display port…
@uwimage On your TV, game console, Blu-Ray Disc player, cable box?
Can’t wait to see these show up in the next bag of fuku or whatever it is called now!
“But sometimes you need cables: … or a 10’ USB 2.0 USB-A to USB-B printer cable.”
Nope, you should never, ever need one of those. Ever.
I feel like the comments are hostile and inappropriate. Perhaps not as inappropriate as the nest of obsolete cables on offer here but very close.
On an unrelated subject, here is the eel pie that was presented to Queen Elizabeth II upon her coronation on 2 June 1953:
@KREE the thing is Ethernet and coax are still be useful but a random bright green short run of them isn’t.
Damn, what a shitty offering today.
LOL
The makeup brush spinner was so much better and more relevant
Why the fuck would you ever need or want a braided coax cable?
2008 Woot called and wants its deal back.
That’s not a printer cable.
THAT’s a printer cable!
I can tie these all together make a noose and hang myself for buying this stupid shitt
