@SLepe Yeah, they’re smaller - feel a little dryer. So you go to wipe off the counter and it kind of slips out of your hand and makes you feel like you’re dusting, not BLEACHING THIS RAW MEAT OFF MY COUNTER. So i had to use several. At this point I have enough “better buy something until Clorox is available” that I just need to use them up and stop looking.
@biblegurl I went to bed, ate a decent breakfast, had my morning caffeine… and this is still bothering me from last night. I might have a problem. I guess I was really hoping they would fix it.
@guybrush01 that may actually be high for wipes. Healthcare rated clorox brand wipes are only 0.55%, are rated to kill bacteria in 30 seconds, viruses and spores up to 3 minutes.
Liquid bleach is 5.25 to 8.25% and you are supposed to dilute it 10 to one before using for disinfection purposes.
1.5% is probably strong enough to surfaces if left on them, and clothing if it gets on them at all and isn’t rinsed out.
@catthegreat@hchavers
I’ll wipe away my brother-in-law who thinks he can micro manage his mothers care and “OUR” household from his house just because he’s a greedy P.O.S and stole her checkbook!!
@dansch07 In the past when I’ve seen this error in a store, when I happened to have a penny (rare, now), I’d take one of the items up to the counter, lay down my penny, and tell the cashier to keep the change.
These have household bleach, so be careful what you wipe, or you’ll be wiping the finish off of surfaces. Always spot test a small hidden area first. No juniper in these despite the brand name, which is used for flavoring gin.
@olsmeister As long as 140 to150 proof (70% - 75% alc.). 190 proof Everclear would need to be cut with water down to about 75% alc. (150 proof). But an expensive way to go. Alcohol needs a certain amount if water to work right. As I understand it, the water starts dissolving the outer shell of the microbe, which allows the alcohol inside to kill it. Isopropyl rubbing alc. will work as well, just a tad less effective than ethanol. Always test as alc. can dissolve or discolor the finish. Never use other alcohols, especially methanol with an “M”, very poisonous.

OH MY GOD THEY WIPED GLEN!!!
Ugh. Again?
Ordered x2 last time. Wife’s review was “they’re fine, I guess, but don’t buy again.”
@SLepe . Exactly. They’re ok. Nothing more.

Just FYI, they’re not .03 cents per wipe; they’re .03 dollars. Or 3 cents.
@biblegurl Verizon math strikes again
@biblegurl @DoctorOW What now, bitches? https://imgur.com/gallery/f5aMcwD
@biblegurl
I opened this page just to say this. It warms my heart someone beat me to it.
Also, the price comparison section at the top of this page has the same error.
@biblegurl @guybrush01 Never saw this conclusion. Love it!
@bdb @biblegurl
I did the same thing lol
@biblegurl @DoctorOW It is the return of VCents!!
@biblegurl I went to bed, ate a decent breakfast, had my morning caffeine… and this is still bothering me from last night. I might have a problem. I guess I was really hoping they would fix it.
@biblegurl They are still 5 for $10 dollars, though, aren’t they?
Wait, only 1.5% of Sodium Hypochlorite (CAS NO: 7681-52-9)?
Lame. Hard pass.

What else can these wipe away? Why not start of list of your least favorite things
@hchavers ok, I’ll start. I want to wipe away the home repair bills from the Texas snowpocalist that are just under the insurance deductible.
@hchavers the 15 lbs I gained last year?
@hchavers You need to find some extra repairs.
@catthegreat @hchavers

If you’re not a meh member and have to pay shipping on these, you can get wipes for the same price at Sam’s Club. But then you have to be a member there. So there’s that.

@katbyter wipes are cheaper at Walmart. And these are very small
@katbyter Sorry, they’re about the same size
Where are they made?
@JoeSeadog turkey!!??!
Wait, are these even authentic Microsoft products? If so, are the Surface Wipes 5-pack compatible with the Surface Pro 6-pen
What exactly is considered a “hard surface?”
@vikkiruth lol hard

Gave some of these to my mother. Ironically, they make her sneeze.
Kudos to the Meh geek of the day for learning how to type a ¢ symbol.
Now, go learn how money math works. (It’s $0.03 or 3¢ per wipe, NOT 0.03¢.)
@richrauch thank you, this drives me crazy!

@danexton Could I just use gin to clean my household surfaces?

@olsmeister I don’t know about gin but I’ve seen lots of recommendations for (cheap) vodka.
