@Stallion Yup, mine peel bad. I bought 2 pack for $10 last go round. A couple counter to tile floor falls and brushing against each other in a back pack a few times and though they still seal well & don’t dent… they look like hammered prop canteens from The Big Red One.
“You don’t need any more! Good Lord” -my wife. Who also yells at me for paying for VMP, so what does she know? She knows how full of bottles our cupboards are, that’s what she knows.
@fuzzmanmatt find a kid’s sports team (well once the lock down is over). Like magic in 3 weeks you will have no water bottles. Problem solved and you can keep using your VMP to justify purchasing more because the cupboard will be bare.
I always wash my stainless steel water bottles in the dishwasher. At my house “hand wash” = “never used”. I’ve washed my assorted brands of stainless steel for years this way - no
issues so far.
I agree with @ArmchairGamer. Necks are too narrow to be cleaned.
And don’t they make a good insulated water bottle with a flip straw anymore? I hate having to take the lids of these on and off, and drinking water from them while driving is a challenge. Bubba used to make one and they discontinued it. My absolute favorite.
@katbyter I use them only for water. That way, it’s a matter of just dish soap and hot water on the inside… shake shake shake your bottle… and then rinse well.
@rpstrong best decision of my life… you don’t realize how unclean you are just using paper until you use a bidet and then have to go back to using paper when not at home.
I now think using toilet paper is gross… can’t believe I used it for the majority of my life.
I picked these up last time. I really like them. They’ve never leaked, stayed hot/cold for hours, and I never had a paint issue. In fact I dropped one on concrete and it took quite a tumble. Barely scratched it.
I bought just one last time and have been hoping they’d come up for sale again. I really don’t need so many, but this way I can put off washing them a bit longer.
I bought three of these about a year ago, and they have seen hard daily use. They are great, so long as you have a bottle brush to clean them. The seal is very tight and I’ve never had one leak.
That being said, some users have claimed to not have had paint issues when dropping them, but I can assure you that under hard daily use the pain WILL come off. I have been using mine at work and they get inadvertently abused quite frequently.
However, the one I keep at home is used daily as well, but is not put under any real stress like the others. That one still has all the paint.
@AndyChase I can attest that glass bottles bounce too!
One day on the way home the passenger in the car in front of me threw a burger king bag out the window… it bounced off the concrete barrier next to the road and bounced up and hit my car (Honda not a BMW)… Hit my windshield and shattered it. I saw bits of transparent stuff spray across my windshield.
At first I thought it was ice from a softdrink. Turns out- when I pulled over to see what happened it was bits of broken beer bottle. The people in the car were drinking beer and hiding the bottles inside burger king bags so people wouldn’t see them- and then threw the bags out the window…
apparently glass bounces!
I got the license plate and reported it to *hp from my phone (highway patrol in SC). Got an answering machine message- whether they followed up on my report I don’t know- I never heard back. Fortunately South Carolina has a rule that windshields are 100% covered by insurance with no deductible and they can’t penalize you for replacing one.
In for a set. These actually work. I do have to agree with the chipping. I dropped one while riding my bike and it looks like it’s been through years of abuse. It still works nicely and keeps my drinks cold for hours.
@cansparkle Same. However, I had no idea there were so many anti-bottle-brush people on the internet until I started looking at the comments each time they are up
Ok, finally got mine yesterday. Shipping bag took a beating. USPS must of kicked it all the way to my house. Going incognito at the beach with cold liquid bead and booze. Later

Meh. These the ones that were posted a while back that the paint supposedly peeled off easily? The price IS tempting though…

How many of these things must we buy to make them stop appearing? I’m running out of space!

@Rowsdower I’m impressed by her … good hydration.
I’m undecided; does that count as one, two or three jugs?
@Rowsdower I appreciate her commitment to product placement
@phendrick I’m in for two!!!
@phendrick @Rowsdower 3 Jugs
@CraigDanger @Rowsdower @OnionSoup @meah I never realized I’d be so interested in volunteering to help wash and maintain a bottle holder.
$3 bucks each? Well okay I’m in
“You don’t need any more! Good Lord” -my wife. Who also yells at me for paying for VMP, so what does she know? She knows how full of bottles our cupboards are, that’s what she knows.
@fuzzmanmatt Are they 4 bottles fuller after tonight?
@fuzzmanmatt find a kid’s sports team (well once the lock down is over). Like magic in 3 weeks you will have no water bottles. Problem solved and you can keep using your VMP to justify purchasing more because the cupboard will be bare.
16oz? What are these, bottles for ants?
@mediocrebot good bot.
@mediocrebot
@mediocrebot Does this work everywhere?
@versabox Ah crap! I didn’t realise they were so small when I ordered them earlier today. I hope not too late to cancel.
I really like these bottles, just wish they were in the baby blue that they had previously
/buy
@bigkiskewl Sorry, this deal contains 3 unique items and I’m not sure which one you want. You can review how to pick one, or just try ordering from the checkout page.
Christ. Shouldn’t these have been dumped in the mehrathon?
Actually considering these now, convince me?
Can these keep things tepid though? I feel this is an untapped market. Not a lot of companies operating in the tepid space.
@awk Owww room temperature, such a hard one to handle.
Considered these for a bit - it’s a really good price. However, I decided against it because I don’t like cleaning narrow necked bottles.
Otherwise I’d probably be replacing some plastic reusable bottles that I’ve had for years.

I could really use from TP about now. Bottles just remind me that I need something to wipe with, like virtually everything else.
@hchavers Now is the time to regret not having bought a bidet one of the times they were offered.
I don’t, because I did.
@rpstrong best decision of my life… you don’t realize how unclean you are just using paper until you use a bidet and then have to go back to using paper when not at home.

Oh whatever.

purple loves @barney.
Some folks like 1.5 inch bottle necks. I am not them.
Narrow neck and only 16oz? Easy pass!

@Bandrik Under daily hard use the paint will start to flake off exponentially. Otherwise they are great leak-proof containers.
@ButtRabies Oh bummer. You got me there. I haven’t used them THAT much to really truly “stress test” them. Thanks for letting me know.![:)](https://dj5zo597wtsux.cloudfront.net/emojione/assets/3.1/png/64/1f642.png)

These are great for throwing at BMW drivers when they cut you off in traffic. They don’t bounce off like the old plastic ones.

But what about the blue herons? They’re everywhere in Irving…
Are these Mac compatible?
I wish I would have ordered more.
These bottles are nice.
@cfgoodrum here you go, click the photo:
You are awesome!
VAN GOGH! MANGO! TANGO! AWESOME!
Nice bottles. I had hoped they were dishwasher safe but I guess you can’t have everything. No plastic anyway!
