So, what’s their waterproofing certification? IP65? IP66? IP67? If I’m gonna use these as boogie boards, how do I connect three together, and is there an optional skeg that I can attach?
So I paid this much for half as many just a few short months ago.
You can get cheaper ones on that big river that swallowed woot, but they’re often smaller form factors and side by side the one of those I have is incrementally not as bright/contrasty as the Boogie Board one. This one is pretty big and the thin bezel is sleek.
I’m thinking about maybe picking up some more to stick around different places.
I bought some a few months ago and love the VersaTi-lity aspect.
My only complaint is that you can’t erase just one mistake. You have to wipe the whole board and start again.
Oh well. I guess I just have to be more mindful then
and then DON’T erase them because you should be thankful for your experience and how you learned from it. Like to avoid buying electronic tablets you don’t need but you had fun so what the heck?
I just wish they were a little bit brighter. The green writing isn’t as bright or bold as it is in the images. Maybe I need a new battery? Still pretty cool tho and don’t regret the purchase.
@JvB I Believe the battery is only used for the erase function. I hear you can remove the battery if you don’t want it accidentally erased, and the write on will still function.
I got these last time to put on on the fridge. Overall it is good.
It was a minor pain to find the right magnets to superglue to the back myself. -I wish they offered magnets since many people would use these in the same way.
I’m not sure why these are being advertised as using ‘light’. They’re E-Ink displays, which emit no light at all and are in fact invisible in the dark. They are super cool technology though and I keep waiting for Meh to offer them at 1 for $10.
Wait no longer if you don’t mind paying less than $10 for 1 BoogieBoard. Here at Meh, right NOW they are only $7.50 each! Bundled together are 4 BoogieBoard’s for $30! And if you truly only want 1 board for yourself, then you’ll also have on hand another 3 board’s to give as great gifts! Kindest regards, Simple Sam
I bought a double order the last time they were offered. We’re using them on the exam room doors at the vet clinic I work for. Having the pet name and doctor on the door helps us keep track of who’s in each room. So far, they’re holding up great.

I thought Boogie Boards were used at the beach.
@yakkoTDI pretty sure you can use these at the beach.

Top the bottom
@medz I’m unfamiliar with this practice, but I’m feeling a bit old school when I see what some of the kids get up to in 2023.
Top, tap, whatever.
Top
I thought topping from the bottom was a no-no.
@awk It’s all about consent.
If tonight isn’t for topping bottoms, you’d better write it on the light-up chalkboard!
I would buy these for a cousin’s children, but they still have clean walls. Maybe next time, in a month.

Boogie boards are for Riding On not Writing On!!!

@Echenanci Don’t make just one mistake.
@Echenanci @phendrick Yeah, make a LOT of mistakes, like the rest of us.

@phendrick Booger board? As in a place to leave your boogers for the next housemate that comes along? Sounds reasonably useful I suppose.
@jonmeh Eww.

Pro Tip: Don’t write your bitcoin passphrase on these things.
This is where I write “Yo Tengo SIDA” as I leave before dawn
@zx Lo lamento.
@zx And when you get back that evening, it says “Oh, mi pobrecito, no tienes idea.”
I thought I’d boogie right over and say how this is a bright idea.
If these were the notepad sized ones, I would be super on board. Those are great for scorekeeping in board games

@zachdecker I came to this thread to find out if they have magnets on the back.
Why don’t they have magnets on the back? What a strange omission.

You know what sure, I’m in for a late set.

They only lasted 5 months. That’s why we can’t have nice things!
Guess I should be thankful they lasted that long.
