When I saw the joke picture, I immediately thought of this music video, a classic of surreality-ness. Surrealishness. Whatever. Just watch it, even if you mute it.
@gobnu if it’s blown glass and not borosilicate blown glass, then I could see why it’s hand wash only. The mix of different glass types, as indicated by the color changes and this price range, would suggest that the glass can’t take the rapid heat changes in the dishwasher cycle.
Yes it is possible to have blown glass that’s dishwasher safe, but highly dependent on the type of glass used and if the glass blower knows how to use that style of glass. For example: someone who is certified to do scientific glassware would be able to do it no problem.
I know all this because I am a chemist who was taught to blow glass by a scientific glass blower. Is my glassware dishwasher safe? Usually when I have the correct setup and it’s a new creation. Is the person who trained me in the basics? Every damned time without fail if it’s a new one or a complex repair.

@corishnakov I bought the entire blue collection, as a wedding gift, and they came in a fancy signed gift box. Also I have a complete sets of Reidel Veloce & Performance glassware, Reidel is dishwasher safe as long as there isn’t any other dishes in the Dishwasher . The stems on the Barcelona Glassware is very thin & fragile, like my Reidel’s hand washing is the only way to go.
Remember hold the glass by Bowl and not by the Stem while washing.

Damnit! I totally fell asleep last night and now the stemless are sold out. I guess that’s a sign that I don’t need them. I hand wash almost everything anyway. I got a set of the whiskey/rocks glasses last time round and I loved them. I just have a crazy short dog with an insanely strong tail and she knocks over all the stemmed things. Such is life!

I’m seriously stressing about spring when the kids have multiple sports. I need to look back at which veggie soup recipe you wanted. I don’t typically write things down when I cook so I’m at a loss at the moment.

@sillyheathen I don’t think wine is good for dogs. You might want to try water in a bowl, my dog does pretty well with that set up.
