Man, I love fluffy hotel pillows but I suspect they would give me neck pain after a few days... Also not stay fluffy. Memory foam pillows have been a good compromise, I guess.
Important to make clear these are down-alternative (aka NOT DOWN) pillows, not down alternative-pillows, like they're filled with down and wear Birkenstocks and pitcholi or whatever that pungent jive is.
@tasu99 No dumb bastard ever won a pillow fight by going out and dying for his country. He won it by making some other dumb bastard die for his country.
@jqubed If they don't know how the injuries occurred they've never wielded a down pillow in pillow fight. The feathers compact at the end of the pillow, it becomes a 350 thread count blackjack.
@irtravis I can guaranfuckingtee you, given the Army's requirement to go with the lowest bidder, that Our Nation's Finest are not sleeping on down pillows. More like burlap sacks stuffed with last week's laundry.
@KDemo The gel stays cooler. They will eventually heat up with you throughout the night, but not as bad as standard memory foam. We tend to let our bedroom get pretty cold if the weather permits - which means the gel foam topper on the bed and my pillow are slabs for a couple of minutes until body heat warms them up a bit. We like it. We're weird.
@Thumperchick - Not weird (unless you want to be). I like to be cool when I'm sleeping, too. I use a fan for 8 or 9 months a year. Those pillows sound nice.
@KDemo Target sells a pretty good one online that's reversible foam/fiber. I have neck problems and live in Texas where the sun likes to cook us for fun, and it stays pretty cool and is supportive. One side has foam and the other half is fiber. Pretty good idea!
I can't believe it's $18.99 right now. I double checked my order and it was $32.99 when I bought it. I feel like I got ripped off! But I did get a discount of some kind, so I didn't pay quite that much. Crazy the price dropped so drastically.
don't care, will be well rested (due to pillows) and prickly.
Dead on!
Got some last time - the are fluffy, feel like they wont support you but totally do. I like hard pillows so it's odd (they work, support well but are too soft; hard to describe)
Well, been following meh for a while now and finally took the bait & bought. I've been wanting a new pillow for a few weeks now and though I'd rather try em 1st, what the heck! If no likey I make a dog bed out em, and at least one of us will be happy...

I'm down for this
@AttyVette but are you down for the alternative?
@Thumperchick lol I "down" know if I am or not
@AttyVette I cotton you should sleep on it then.
Why doesn't Meh ever carry corduroy pillows? You've heard about them, yeah? They're making headlines.
For people who want to get a head start on buying
If these are the same ones that have been sold previously, I can say with complete modesty that the ladies love them. Five stars.
@grum I believe they are. Same model #
@grum ladies? plural? at the same time? I should stop now...
@grum I don't care for them. They are too skinny. Make my neck ache. Sorry meh
@grum I'm a lady. I love these. They are very squishy and perfect for pillow piles. I sleep on 2.
@alexthegirl See.
Are these considered firm pillows or they the super light fluffy sort?
@mehgrl Very fluffy and super light.
@mehgrl According to Wayfair, they are medium
http://tinyurl.com/obyp8eu
@mehgrl Yup they are very fluffy. I bought them the first time meh had them, and I have been very satisfied with my purchase of them.
I think I better sleep on this before I decide
@eVil I would sleep if I had some pillows!
@rmeden All you need is a down payment
@eVil Eider know about that. Seems like that is ducking the issue.
I love these pillows, They are awesome! I still have 6 of them or I'd order more.
Previous sale
@Collin1000 hmmm.
Down alternatives tend to be under stuffed. How firm are these?
@jml326 Not very. If you want firm, you'd better lay on two. That being said, the ladies do love them, as I've stated previously.
@grum You're going to just keep mentioning that, aren't you?
Don't need the pillows but I do need the big red cart...
Buy now...don't get caught napping on this one!
@jsimsace. Or California and Texas will buy them all
@somf69 now I have a craving for crumbly old stale gum.
@somf69 Huh, I was going to try to find the Dilbert strip that had that same joke.
@somf69 Oh, it's not quite the same. And now I finally get Dilbert's comment.

Bought two sets tonight so 8 pillows headed my way:) I can't wait..Also I am sure that my dogs will also love having new pillows to commandeer !

Not downy enough for my liking. I prefer the hotel style super down, dense yet pliable pillows.

2-plus-2-for-2-days-before-Tuesday
I'm laying on one now. And heading to bed. Night all!
@sohmageek Curse you goat as you flaunt your impending slumber!
@jqubed it didn't last long...
Fiber stuffed pillows = meh
Ordering a few sets for those fine young men and women at West Point.
Bought some of these pillows. Wasn't happy, way too sparse on the filling.
Pillow fight anyone?
@tasu99
No dumb bastard ever won a pillow fight by going out and dying for his country. He won it by making some other dumb bastard die for his country.
30 injured in West Point pillow fight, 24 with concussions
@jqubed My squad leader said, if you're in a fair pillow fight, you're in the wrong pillow fight.
@jqubed If they don't know how the injuries occurred they've never wielded a down pillow in pillow fight. The feathers compact at the end of the pillow, it becomes a 350 thread count blackjack.
@irtravis I think there were allegations that some pillows had something extra added to them.
@saodell I can't really think of any fight I might find myself in that I wouldn't want to be unfair in my favor, tbh.
@irtravis
I can guaranfuckingtee you, given the Army's requirement to go with the lowest bidder, that Our Nation's Finest are not sleeping on down pillows. More like burlap sacks stuffed with last week's laundry.
@jqubed
FWIW, article says this tradition goes back to 1890, but I can't find anyone who graduated in the '80s or '90s who ever heard of it.
@saodell I was thinking the pillows were 1970s issue.
@jqubed The cracked cheek bone definitely is suspicious, but not the broke noses and concussions.
I switched to a gel foam pillow a long while back. I'm now too spoiled to go with anything else.
@Thumperchick - Are those the ones that stay cool, or are they just like memory foam?
@KDemo The gel stays cooler. They will eventually heat up with you throughout the night, but not as bad as standard memory foam.

@KDemo We have fans on most nights in winter. If not the fan, the window is open. Rare exceptions are -0 nights.
@Zypher - Sounds worth checking out, and I like Target. Thanks!

@Thumperchick agreed, -0 is way too cold for fans...+0 is OK though :p
"Those aren't pillows!"
@CraigDanger P, T, & A. Awesome. :D
Curious, what's the point of a high thread count on a pillow? Won't they be inside a case?
@chipt4 Thread count doesnt mean anything so I wouldnt worry about it.
@chipt4 pure oontz
@chipt4 If it's down or feathers it matters to keep them in. Man made stuff, not so much.
No King, No Deal.
I want some more sheets!

Isn't anything that isn't down a down alternative?
@njd like sand? Or rocks?
@njd Hmm. I suppose "up" or "sideways" are legitimate down alternatives, but they make terrible pillow filling.
I lost almost all my eyes on the corners of these sharp bitches. Only have 3 left. Meh.
@w_a_w 3 left? How many eyes did you have to begin with?
From the last sale, don't be shocked by the way they are shipped when the package arrives. Vacuum bag.

Wayyyy to soft for me. I bought them before. Nice pillows, but if you're looking for a firm, move along....

I think the fill weight is off, 30oz seems way too much, I checked around and from what I see it's 5.1oz
