i bought these last year from the monkey place. the flashlight is meh but the lantern is surprisingly bright. they’re individually gift boxed with the batteries already inside. i gave them out at the office as stocking stuffer gifts and they were a big hit.
These flashlights are REALLY cool in a blackout. 48 hrs in 1… It truly sucked. almost as bad as that daily questionaire, since ALL THE FREAKING WORDS WERE MISSPELLED!!!

They’re great for power outages, as one of these in lamp mode keeps a room fairly well lit…no hot spots. The flashlight is, though somewhat meh in comparison to the lamp, quite usable. The price is absurd…and they even come supplied with batteries. For two bucks apiece, it’s silly not to pick up a few.
Anybody else kinda sad we don’t get more on the two neighbors? I was looking forward to seeing them when the page loaded the product, but then I got to the rant and realized it wasn’t a new episode. I’m almost ashamed for feeling this let down.
So just for fun I poked about a bit on these (I’m alone in a condo in Florida and it’s 2 AM and rainy, the obvious past times got old hours ago) and found some fun info.

@trimpe Who doesn’t want a cat shaped gravy boat so it can puke all over your food? I bought a cat shaped cream dispenser at a thrift store and never thought of how gross it would look in slow motion hacking up into someone’s coffee.
Got my lights today and the first one I opened had a corroded battery. They’re labeled “Halo” and have a 7-2017 date stamped on the bottom. The tip of the spring that was touching the battery was also damaged, but the light still works ok. I don’t know how old these batteries are, but I’d recommend everyone replace or at least check theirs so you don’t end up with a broken light when you actually need it.
Got mine today. They have a neat little snap on bungee cable so you can actually hang these lights from something which is pretty cool. I could imagine they would be good for camping. The flashing amber light is pretty bright in the dark and would be good if you’re changing a tire, to warn other drivers. Then you would use one of the other ones as a lantern to actually see what you are doing. As someone mentioned, the flashlight isn’t the brightest… But it’s good in a pinch. Well worth the $2 each.
I got mine, batteries seem fine and test in good condition. I’m using these to test longevity then I’ll replace them with rechargables. At first try these little things are very good for the price.
These are a lot bigger than I thought they’d be. Thank GOD I didn’t spend a lot! Checked (and removed) all the batteries - no leaks and everything works!
got mine sometime last week, but just opened them today. one of my three had a broken strap, and the other had dead batteries. they are larger than i expected, able to light up a room pretty well.

Ordered two sets and one in each set had leaking batteries.
Got mine today, one worked and the other two also had bad batteries, starting to corrode.
All my batteries were fine but I’m going to replace them. I trust no pre-inserted batteries.
