2021 Unofficial Holiday Mehrican Exchange reveal thread!
36It’s a holiday Mehricle!
After Thanos snapped his fingers and caused a glitch in the exchange, somehow @Lichme and I connected and decided to do a SideDeal™ outside of the Elfster exchange. I guess Lichme is now my side piece. That’s awkward.
A super nice guy who I only had a short time to stalk, really crushed the Mehchange. Mexchange? Mehexchange? Chubracabrexchange? Whatevs.
His package arrived today and it is awesome and full of a LOT of custom stuff. I’m not sure how he pulled it off so quickly because I just got his box in the mail today. I underachieved in true Meh fashion. In this fantastic box of wonderment I received:
• A ‘Kiss the Cook’ apron adorned with some super handsome guy on the front.
• A custom one of a kind Meh mouse pad. It is going in a safe and I may accept gold bullion as trade. Unless that offends Lichme in which case I will sleep with it under my pillow.
• A $25 of $75 gift card to Victoria’s Secret… so I guess I’ll be getting my self something pretty.
• A loathful amount of Trackers. Thank you very hard for those.
• A Meh face (I’m guessing is a stress reliever thing)
• An amazing custom Seahawks tumbler with my name on it. Which is good incase there are other East coast Seahawk fans who try to take it from me.
• A bag of kettle corn which lasted about 60 seconds after the photoshoot. I’m supposed to be reducing my sugar intake, but no one else was home so I’ll just pay for that later :
• A perfect glass placard for my softball playing daughter. Her name is Caitlin, but when she steps in the dirt, she is Road Runner. This fall she had 12 innings pitched over 6 games with 26 strike outs. Not one opponent put a ball in play. She strikes them out, hits them or walks them. No one hits the Road Runner. She is going to LOVELOVELOVE that! Thank you
• More Trackers. Thanks, you jerk.
• And extension cord that I can use to plug in the also included Expanding Sponge. Most of my sponges are just decompressing sponges so this will be a nice addition to the collection.
• A fancy roll of custom TP that I found out you can actually print on. I mean… umm… not in that way.
• Another custom item… a keychain celebrating the Norwalkians of the Iowa place. It also has a tassel on it that I’m sure could double as a lure to catch walleyes in Lake Ontario.
• A really comfy looking pair of slippers/flipflops/slides? that my wife will likely grab because shoes.
• We do ‘elf on a shelf’ around here and now I’ve got a custom one. I can’t wait to tell my wife that we can now Lichme all around the house. I may be single by the weekend
• And finally, a nice note reminding about all the Trackers in the box. Jerk.
• @Lichme you rocked this box! Thanks so much!

PANS! GLANDS! CRAYONS! AWESOME!
@mediocrebot Stupid bot, my box contained none of those things
I had a ton of fun putting this together and can’t wait to do it again. I don’t know what to expect coming my way (okay, so maybe I do a bit), but you declared a gift exchange to the death!
Here’s some more pics I snapped before I sent it out:
You forgot to mention the LED glow sticks that last 20 hours, 20! Also, if you happen to see a red blinking light on the elf, you can just ignore it, I’m gathering data for next year.
Mehry Christmas!
@lichme overachiever
@lichme @mediocrebot I did forget the glowsticks. Likely because I was thinking about the handful that are stuffed inside the box that is on its way to you
@mikibell It’s talk like that that got us here in the first place
@lichme said with love and admiration…
@lichme
Takes one to know one, @mikibell!
@lichme @mediocrebot Fantastic box!!
@Kyeh @lichme yup… I deserve that… BUT I am always last minute on my shipping… or late… trying not to be late this time.
@lichme @mikibell It’ll be worth the wait for your lucky recipient!
@mediocrebot This is amazeballs! Fantastic job @lichme!
@lichme holy crud you did amazing! Well done!
My gift just came- my sender didn’t include their Meh name, so I will add it once they get back to me with it. I got a rabbit candle that melts into a metal skeleton, and a bunch of Iron Man and Loki stickers. Thank you.
@Pony it’s a little sparse but it’s rad. Maybe it’s a secret admirer?
@sillyheathen Nah, it’s my exchange gift, I’m certain of that. A lot of people don’t seem to realize you’re supposed to put your forum name in the box.
Sadly, I can’t burn the candle because I am on oxygen, but it’s still cute.
@Pony @sillyheathen Blow dryer to get the skeleton? Quality over quantity is a good thing. Nice stuff!
Ahah! My gift sender was @Deri143- thank you, and by the way, you have gorgeous handwriting.
@sammydog01 I will just display it as-is. it’s cute.
@Pony Oh my gosh thank you so much!! And I’m so sorry you can’t light the candle I figured it would go with your “spooky” aesthetic haha I’m glad you like it! I know it’s not much, but I did what I could
@Deri143 No worries at all. It was a very thoughtful gift.
@Pony did your ornaments come? I just checked the tracking and it says they’re out for delivery!
@Deri143 You did great! I’m jealous.
@sillyheathen Not yet. Our mail has been coming in the evening lately, and I can’t see to drive to get it after dark. (mailbox is two and a half miles away on twisty bumpy washboard gravel road) Might not get them til morning.
@Pony
/giphy gah
@sillyheathen I got them! I got them! Eeeee I love them so much, you are the BEST silly heathen EVAR. Heart! Heart! Heart!
@Pony @sillyheathen
Those are awesome!
HIKING! VIKINGS! STRIKE KING [BRAND FISHING LURES]! AWESOME!
@Pony @sillyheathen Those are awesome!
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
@Pony I love these! @sillyheathen I am totally going to order something, I am just having a hard time deciding.
@miscreant @Pony hey thanks. I’m crippled right now with no power or WiFi. Hoping to have it remedied by tomorrow.
@sillyheathen I know, I am sorry it has been such a cruddy day. I am not in a hurry, just thought I would let you know because I am dying over here trying to figure out what I want. Can I whisper to you?
@miscreant @Pony @sillyheathen Hope you have power tomorrow. What a PITA it is to be without either!!
@Pony Oh that’s awesome! I know you can’t light the candle but I’m jealous! I’ve always been dying to see how one of those skeleton candles works
HIKING! VIKINGS! STRIKE KING [BRAND FISHING LURES]! AWESOME!
Oh man, these reveals are great! Puts the box I sent to my recipient to shame. Oh well, I’ll try to do better next time and really work at “personalization”. Also, just a bit jealous of @Pony’s sticker haul.
@steeltoesenator That’s why it’s good to fill out wish lists, because people can get a feel for what kind of things you like. My elf paid attention and I got cool stuff.
@steeltoesenator It’s the thought that counts (I think)!
So bummed I missed this this year. Its been super hectic. Pewp
The first box I sent will hopefully arrive today and my second box will also hopefully arrive this weekend. Whoever recommended PirateShip, thank you! Rates were so good I guess I can put my feet up at this point
@capnjb
Let’s go UPS!
@capnjb Hey, it worked, it’s here! Now I just gotta open it while on an all employee town hall session.
@capnjb @lichme yea zoom meetings?
mailing my match’s gift out Monday…hope he likes it…it’s totally Meh
Mine will ship out next week. Hopefully Mon/Tues. I want to get it out before kids are off school and hopefully just in time for the big day.
@sillyheathen I hope you are my Elf because I want some of your wonderful creations you gift your matches with #FFFgirltoo
Mine will ship out sometime next week as well. Just putting the finishing Meh touches on it all.
@iutami mine will ship out as well. It didn’t help that I had to redo the thing i wss making
However, i think the usps is really trying to get everything delivered. My mail is usually delivered between 10am and 1pm. I got text messages that I had two meh purchases on the porch at 6:30am
Well, you may as well stop reading after this post, cause it ain’t getting any better than this!
@capnjb really came through with an amazing box
First up is not one, not two, not three, but four parts of Frank Sinatra’s “In The Wee Small Hours”. They appear to be on a frisbee of some sort!
Next we have some nerdy tech stuff.
A portable LED light
A 32GB microSD card. Corporate policy tells me to avoid plugging in any random things in case there is a hack on it to try and steal my identity.
A tracker, probably to assist in the above identity theft
Some headphones
A kasa smart plug
But wait… there’s more!
Once my identity has been successfully stolen, I’m going to lose everything. My job, my house, everything is gone. Lucky for me, I’ll be okay because I can survive in the woods with my:
Lifestraw (I had one of these but sent it away in another IRK, I’m excited to have one back)
Glow Sticks
Smoking Chips
Firestarter
I’ll be able to gather firewood by chopping down anything I want with this giant slicing object (Mairico Knife)
You don’t have to worry about me, I have all the essentials. Who needs home cooked meals when you can thrive on coffee and Illegal chips. This coffee isn’t just any coffee though, it’s home roasted! Pretty fancy huh?
Eventually I might want some protein though. If you give a man a duck, he’ll eat for a day. But if you pair his giant knife with a duck whistle, he’ll be able to catch all the duck he wants.
All that eating will probably make me tired though. So I’ll have to curl up by the fire for some sleep. Good thing I’ll have an adorable baby yoda to snuggle up with!
But, who can really fall asleep without a good bedtime story? Not me (or my kids for that matter, who are the actual recipients of this). It’s signed too, by the author, who happens to be married to an elf.
Yeah, I think I’m gonna be just fine, although after a while I’ll probably get a little homesick. No worries, that’s covered too with some Canadian moose socks, and some poutine mix!
That’s a whole lot of amazing things. What better way to carry it all than an amazing satchel of storage. Along with this thoughtful note:
Thank you so very much @capnjb. You can really tell there was much thought and effort into putting this together, not just for me but my kids as well. My daughter absolutely loves reading and has been asking me for baby yoda forever (despite not knowing anything about yoda). You may have ruined all future IRK’s for me, but those are in the future so it’s irrelevant.
@lichme Great IRK! I love that its a nice mix of Meh items along with items picked just for you! Just what Im going for with my box
@lichme yes!!! Well done @capnjb! These IRKS are fab and much better than typical side deal irks.
Love it!
@lichme Awesome! I hope you were amused unpacking the nonsense. It would have been there sooner if it wasn’t so tough to find a reliable moose sock vendor. Dang Canadians Hope your kids enjoy the book And thanks for the SideDeal™!
KRULL! A SKULL! BRETT HULL! AWESOME!
@capnjb @lichme I’m going to have to look up that book. My kids are obsessed with anything related to Greek mythology hence my Medusa sculpture for KHJs first monsterfication project. I think my youngest would be all over it. I’m off to the Amazon!
@lichme @sillyheathen She does a lot of kidlit writing. Countless articles for Appleseeds and Faces magazines. She’s working on a few chapter books but this was her first picture book (and she found an amazing illustrator!). The follow-up book might just be Little Poseidon.
@capnjb @lichme ummm sign us up! I can’t begin to tell you how much that is discussed in our house on a daily basis!
@lichme awesome IRKing Christimas exchange box! @capnjb you put together a fantastic gift box. Happy Holidays to you both!
WORKER BEES! HERCULES! TURKEY GREASE! AWESOME!
@capnjb @lichme I bought a case of those chips. I don’t know why. I wish I could give them away instead of throwing them in the garbage but they’re sitting there staring at me and saying “you’re an idiot”. Anyone want more?
@lichme I’m jealous of the poutine mix. Canadian salad! Great IRK box!
@lichme oh wow! That’s not an Instant Regret Kit, that’s an Instant Rejoice Kit! What a great haul, congrats!
Ok, time for everyone to be jealous because I got a Fruit IRK from @weboh !! Also a very sweet note describing everything. Sadly though, the USPS decided that they wanted the roselle and the papaya more than I did. The box arrived with the bottom slightly broken so they might have fallen out.
But, what did survive…
Pomelo… Which I have never had. Will be curious to see how it compares to our Texas Ruby Red grapefruit
Persimmons… Love these! growing up there was a wild one growing near my grandma’s house
Starfruit Jam … I love starfruit so looking forward to having this on toast
Fresh coffee beans… I’m excited to try these
Bananas!! and they are just right for banana bread.
And the poem,
'Twas the month before Christmas and all throughout Florida
Not a creature was freezing, except for the Florida(ians)
When the temperatures drop below seventy
Floridians put on a jackety
When you can’t grow fruit in Texas
you can in Florida, Heck yes!
Enjoy some of my fruit
while you hibernate like Groot.
And it’s funny that today it’s expected to be in the 80s in metroplex today.
In the background, one indifferent cat because nothing in the box was for him and he hasn’t had breakfast yet.
Thank you weboh!!!
@ironcheftoni this is fantastic. Color me jealous
@ironcheftoni Admittedly, I started writing that poem before I realized it was going to Texas. Halfway through, I realized Texas may not be that cold right now, but I didn’t bother to look it up. The weather of everywhere north of Florida during the winter is mysterious to me, anyway. All I know is not to leave to leave Florida between October and April or my sensitive heinie will be be frozen off.
Sorry you missed out on the papaya and roselle. The papaya was one of the better parts of the package, and way better than any store-bought one. The pomelo should still be a treat, though. Not as juicy as a grapefruit but not as bitter as one, either. You can even eat it like an orange if you want.
You may want to try some of the bananas fresh before putting them in bread. They’re different from grocery store ones and actually taste really good when they’re that color.
@Weboh will do! Thank you again
@ironcheftoni
You got an awesome box, so jealous! I love his fruit.
MEALS! DEALS! EELS! AWESOME!
@ironcheftoni This is so wonderful! And I love that they made a little chart of all the fruits too! Very well done
I have a reveal! I’m going to have to put it up shortly. First I have to give Jezebel a bath, she’s a very dirty girl, so that she may continue to engrave the things for me! @whomeyesu sent me a crazy box and I can’t wait to share!
@sillyheathen sorry. It’s probably going to be the morning before I post. It’s been a really long bloody day!
A Word To The Unwise: Of the three Priority Mail packages I dispatched in the first two days of this week, none has been delivered, and one is not even showing up as having been scanned anywhere yet. It’s pretty clear that USPS is really Unusually Slow Parcel Shipping this year, so you might want to get your boxes in the mail over the weekend. Wednesday could be too late to get them to the destination by the 20th.
@werehatrack I sent mine out Monday (USPS Priority Mail) and it has yet to reach it’s destination. It’s getting closer though. I predict by upcoming Monday my recipient should have his box. Guess I’d best quit procrastinating (I’m a pro at that) and get the package for my grandson off tomorrow so he gets it on time too.
@werehatrack Yeah, my second box that I was hoping to arrive this weekend will be arriving Monday or later. Also, the 500 boxes of Mac & Cheese I worked with Wegman’s to buy for my kids school food drive won’t be happening due to supply chain issues. I made it all the way up to the regional ordering manager before throwing in the towel. I will say that Wegman’s and all their staff were super awesome. Just a tough time to buy things in much, much bulk.
FOOLS! TOOLS! JEWELS! AWESOME!
@werehatrack I used pirate ship to send via UPS. The box was bigger than flat rate and cost less.
I had enough trouble last year with USPS. My son left his switch docking station when he visited for Thanksgiving. I mailed it back to him in Philly (1 week after Thanksgiving) and it got to him sometime in January. It was 6-7 weeks before he got it. We’ve also been having lots of issues with local mail being slow and/or missing. So I was glad someone shared the pirate ship info.
@werehatrack I just got back from dropping mine off at the post office. Should go out tomorrow and hopefully arrive sometime next week.
@remo28
Down and safe. Still reconnoitering. Wows.
And of course we had a massive tree branch come down and take out the power line to the house. Well it’s still sort of connected. Had to turn off power. Thankfully the trucks are on their way because it’s a fire hazard. Will post as soon as they have been.
@sillyheathen Yikes! I hope all goes smoothly to get you powered up again.
@Pony they told us two hours ago we were at the top of the list but still no trucks. I turned off power at the breaker. Now my youngest and I are reading Harry Potter in front of the fire. Definitely an interesting day so far.
@Pony
@Pony @sillyheathen
I was at my parents’ place in Miami when Hurricane Andrew hit. I’d spent part of the day before the storm trimming branches out of the live oak around the electrical service drop, in aid of keeping it from being hit if the tree went over. It stayed up, but the top half of the pine tree upwind of the oak broke off, went over the oak, and wound itself up in the service drop. The weatherhead was bent out a good three feet from the house.
Getting power restored took a while. There were megavolt transmission lines with towers flattened, and there wasn’t much of the grid in that area which was fit to turn back on.
@sillyheathen Oh no! I guess it could have been worse, so I’m glad it wasn’t, but hope you get power again soon. Sounds cozy reading by the fire, though.
@sillyheathen When we heard the high winds warning, I filled some water containers (our water comes from a private well) and brought in a load of firewood, just in case. The storm raged, but surprisingly no power outages in this heavily wooded rural area. Sounds like some of the Portland area neighborhoods got the worst of it.
@macromeh we stayed with friends in SW PDX and their area was totally fine. We now have power but the surge from the line going down has damaged some breakers in the panel and of course it’s our furnaces and hot water heater. will be filling a stock pot with water to boil for dishes and possible a bath for the kiddos.
@sillyheathen Bummer - on the bright side, it’s easier/cheaper to replace the breakers than the furnace/water heater.
@macromeh well he just switched out the breakers and I guess it’s not the breakers. Not sure whats going on. PGE is supposedly on their way to check out the panel.
@macromeh @sillyheathen
Oh, no! Good luck.
@sillyheathen Well that sucks!!! Hope it is cheap and has to be paid for by the power company.
@macromeh @sillyheathen I hope everything has been fixed and running smoothly now! I’m so sorry this happened
Well I’d planned on doing a play by play. It that’s difficult from my phone so I will add the photo and just add all the info!
My mehelf was @whomeyesu and man I was bowled over by this box. I will say thank you for the lack of trackers and also almost everything in the box will be ultilized!!!
SO many irk bags for my technicolor irk coat! I have to double check but there were seven or eight.
And so many amazing goodies inside! I was in stitches for the farting Mrs Claus. The Englishman always calls me Mrs Claus because I love giving people gifts and my littles are obsessed with farts so they’re going to be over the moon when they see her.
There was a squishy tomato, some random tool/drill/bits, a little bracelet, slap bracelet kit, toy storage hammock, knob for a dimmer switch, blue and orange monster socks!!! (Mine), super fine glass frit (SUPER excited for that), kinetic rocks (PURE EVIL and it will be gifted! ), a teeny flashlight, camping spatch tongs, a tiny tape gun/dispenser (LOVE), magnetic cat salt and pepper shakers, rock solid resistance bands, children’s Christmas picture book, small pet leash, cookie cutter, crazy heavy duty zip ties which will be very handy, tile accessories?, a little shop lite, a suction cup phone tripod thingy which I’m already using to take time lapse videos with jezzy, a 6port car charger which will be epic in the van, crazy yellow orange shirt that I already have plans for (ahem……@carl669), 7in1 multi tool, polarized safety glasses (amazing for someone that has a laser cnc!), a friends mug!, and two best grylls pocket knives (boyscout is going to flip) and my absolute favorite thing…… a Ren and Stimpy pen that has a little light that projects their image! I need to replace the battery but it’s so cool!!!
So all in all it’s pretty amazing! Thank you for the box of laughs and very little regret @whomeyesu! Super awesome!
MEALS! DEALS! EELS! AWESOME!
@sillyheathen
All the things!
@sillyheathen
Oh and fruitcake which my eldest is dying to try!
@sillyheathen
Farting Mrs Claus
@sillyheathen
Scout heaven
@sillyheathen
Tripod and glasses ready for action
@sillyheathen
It’s not log but it’s a damn fine substitute!
@sillyheathen So, your expectations where more than met. Great to hear you will put most of everything to use. Glad it found a better home! Eye even forgot what exactly was placed inside. You forgot to post by theme as there was kind of one. Dad stuff DIY was in one bag, mom’s stuff, pet stuff and children’s goods. Mostly awesome goods! Had to put some weird off the wall items as well…sciddadle’s.
LEGOS! EGGOS! STRATEGO! AWESOME!
@whomeyesu I loved the way you put it together. I have photos but it’s so frustrating posting from the phone. I’ll update once we get WiFi and electric back up.
@sillyheathen Oh that would be great.
@sillyheathen
Wow that’s A LOT of stuff! A few really neat things, many useful things, and some just for fluff stuff things. Definitely a little something for everyone! Merry Mehmas!
@sillyheathen orange shirt AND orange knives?? what fuckery is this?
@carl669 @sillyheathen Sent from Florida. What did you expect? An actual orange!
@sillyheathen Oh my Lanta you really lucked out! I want your mehelf for next year congrats!
I received the greatest gift box! My neighbors were here and they claimed some stuff, so everything is not showing in picture. There was also a teal IRK bag and knit hat (perfect for Carolina Panther town) and Karl’s brain lip gloss (you know it if you have seen one). Thank you!!
Edit: oh no - we been drinking. How do I add photo??
@SandyFlea turn your phone sideways, Click on the mountain with moon icon next to the numbers 101 010.
@SandyFlea I have never been able to post a photo from my phone even turning sideways. Have to do it from desktop.
Merry IRKmas! My match @Chienfou did some great stalking!
The non-edible kithen items: Vestia Wine Saver Starter Kit & Extra Eine Stoppers for said kit, a couple mason jar plastic lids, a set of measuring cups/spoons, a garlic peeler, and a bench scraper.
The edible: a bottle of Phil’s Magical Smoked Oil, a couple packets of chipotle seasonings, a homemade Bourbon & Peach Jam!, homemade Spiced Pecans!, and a little package of Ferrero Rocher.
The tech & other stuff:
@UpbeatDuck Branded stuff AND personalized labels?? AWESOME!!!
HIKING! VIKINGS! STRIKE KING [BRAND FISHING LURES]! AWESOME!
@upbeatduck
Glad you like the stash. Most of it was “stuff around the house” except of course the personalized pads and labels. Glad you are another sinister person so I could forward (aka re-gift) this mug which I have never gotten around to using. Wanted to send a note but got totally crazy with travel plans and getting other stuff (like work!) done and was worried the package would be late if I delayed much longer.
Meh-ry Christmas!
@chienfou - The box to my swap mate is 99% stuff from around the house too. Crazy what we all have hanging around. You did a great job and aside from the trackr… it was great.
@UpbeatDuck
The trackr is de rigueur for any IRK themed box!
@UpbeatDuck What a wonderful collection of stuff!! really well done!
@nonlion @UpbeatDuck
Thanks!
… The tech & other stuff: a cd “When the Bars Close” by The Selfless Lovers, a VHS tape! of Chevy Chase National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, a TrackR.pixel (in the same color I already have), a battery bank that may of may not work, a multi-usb (this is super handy!), a retractable usb (also super handy), a wallet/notepad/keyfob set, a speck brand phone case for a Galaxy S10, 3 rubber ducks for my collection, and 6 AAA batteries.
Plus: A meh! mug, a left hander mug that has a dribble hole for those right handers that attempt to use it, and 4 personalized notepads of meh!, twitch, and A meh.sage from Upbeatduck.
Oh! and personalized labels for little mason jars that say “A gift from Megan’s Kitchen” and “Made by Upbeat Duck”. There is even a rubber duck on the last ones.
@UpbeatDuck
What a super cool box, that’s great!
@UpbeatDuck wow, that’s such an incredible box with a lot of useful things in there. Nice!
@UpbeatDuck haha that dribble hole is hilarious.
@UpbeatDuck
Really nice! Homemade (from homegrown ingredients) gourmet treats from the @chienfou kitchen, how great is that!?
Just checked the tracking my gift arrived today, and mine should arrive on Monday. So much fun
Woohoo!
My box came yesterday, thanks my elfster friend, aka @hskrjer99 it’s perfect!
I’ll be posting all of fabulous stuff in the next day or so, pictures included of course!
Anonymous stalker supposedly sent a package my direction recently. Yet no carrier nor tracking was provided. Apperntly that’s top secret too!
@whomeyesu
Oh wow, so mysterious! Can’t wait to see how it unfolds…
…Na, it’ll be just fine!
@whomeyesu sometimes we know our giftee, so we don’t provide shipping information. My giftee happens to live 2 doors down,(and it’s completely my fault she is a Meh-er, also my fault she signed up for the exchange), so when/if I send hers, she will not know because she will ask EVERY DAY what it is.
@whomeyesu
Wasn’t me.
Right now, with USPS in full-on “we don’t know shit” mode, having the tracking number might not tell you anything. Last week, I shipped off several Priority Mail packages, none of which arrived withing two days of the forecast date, and one of which did not even show up on tracking at all until it was delivered.
@wifeduck of course if that person is reading this thread they now you are the sender as I doubt too many meh people live 2 doors apart although some live no doors apart.
I received my package late last week from my secret elf (no info enclosed as to their identity) and all I can say is, “WELL DONE!!” As you can see by the picture, the package contents were nearly never-ending, and as I was unloading, my wife was grabbing this & claiming that, all the while laughing as we were going along. Again, well done Mr./Mrs. Elf!!
@tohar1 ooohhh, Rusted Root! Stellar musical taste that elf has!
@tohar1 yes! Well done @sandyflea !
PSA - Please everyone, update elfster when you ship your box with the tracking number, Also when you receive your box, mark it as received so that @sillyheathen and I know everything is for all parties involved.
@ironcheftoni My second arrow hit its mark about 30 minutes ago
@ironcheftoni oh shoot, I should go do that, also post my lovely box here from @lc1976. Also, here’s a question, I’m running late with my box, getting stuff together today, hopefully getting it out tomorrow, should I let my person know through elfster? Also: even though I’m running late, I’m up to do a second box if anyone gets ghosted, is there a discussion anywhere of that (sudden, unexpected tooth pain has taken me out of the world a little bit).
@ironcheftoni @lc1976 @mossygreen
Oh no what a bummer!!
I’ve been lucky enough to have never had a toothache but I’ve seen my guy suffer through some bad ones. Ouch! Hope yours is feeling better real soon!
So nice that you’re ready to make up for the elfsters who ghost, you’ve got BIG holiday cheer!
I’m planning on getting my box out for shipping by the weekend. If I remember correctly I believe we have until the 20th.
@ironcheftoni Question – does doing this reveal your identity? I remember last year, when I did this, my recipient replied moments later thanking me by name.
@stevenmontes if you put your real name in elfster, it will let them know. Most are tagging their recipients with their meh name in the reveal.
@lc1976 @mossygreen as long as it’s by the 20th, you should be good. We have had a lot of over achievers this year making the rest of us look bad! I personally didn’t get mine out until today.
@ironcheftoni @stevenmontes you can message through elfster anonymously.
@cbilyak @ironcheftoni Thanks! Was not really concerned about “my identity” but more of the “surprise element”. Nonetheless, great suggestion!!
Wow. Meh must have known I needed some Xmas gifts for people, fast! So meh shipped me…
A blue gift bag…at least that’s how I’ll use it. (I’ll put some duct tape over the word “regret”.)
Some echo park paper, which I understand can be used for scrapbooking…whatever that is. Anyway, an 11 year old girl is getting that.
A start wars light sabre…it even kind of lights up. An 8 year old is getting that.
and…
Thanks meh!
Well, got my box today and I would like to enter a new candidate for box of the season. @capnJB hooked me up with quite a box of assortedness.
Blue IRK Bag
Davids Seeds
OldBay Hot Sauce
Illegal Chips
Heineken Beer Tapper
Jamin at Condons - Eddie Condon and his all stars 45
life straw
non broken Coffee mug with several instant coffee packs
a couple hand warmers
a couple clean up wipes
several glow sticks
a Google Home
a Star Wars themed Sphero
a usb light bulb
random outlet trim plate
and a mini cow bell
Thanks so much!
@jchizmar A Sphero!!! So cool!
@jchizmar
That’s a nice box, something for everyone!!
@jchizmar ooh wow! super awesome box!!
POKER! JOKER! NOT MEDIOCRE! AWESOME!
I’m just glad it arrived safely with all the awful weather recently. The wall plate is actually a nightlight that works automagically when you install it. My wife rolled her eyes when I picked up a bunch of them, but after installing them in a few hallways she really likes them. They are Mrs. Capn (Tennille?) approved. Wow, I feel old making that joke. Hope you had fun with the unboxing. Good luck with the chips…heh.
My amazing box from @frankthehobo arrived today!

My cat Bagheera aka Biggie smalls loved the cookie cutter
@joebuddah
@joebuddah Biggie also claimed what looks like an air hockey handle / brush. As I unpacked it he must have swiped it and hide it. Thanks for the fun Frank!
@joebuddah
Love the cat butt cookie cutter.
@joebuddah @Star2236 Don’t we all need cat butt cookies in our lives! That is my favorite thing from your box @joebuddah!
@joebuddah have a Merry Christmas or happy holidays Joe!! You are welcome. Love this community!! My cat Miss kitty looks very similar!!
@joebuddah I’m so jealous of the 3D printed lizard, that’s wonderful!!
@triplebud delivered an excellent Mehhry Christmas gift box yesterday! Playing with the Fortnite Grenade Bitty Boomer as I post this
All in all very nice! Thanks so much to @triplebud! The watches will be donated to my old work place supporting at-risk youth. The Bitty Boomer and VR are mine - forgot about the poop emoji stickers (not pictured) which are re-gifted to my bro-in-law! the rest may be passed on next year - Fukobukuro!
@kc5rbq My descriptions didn’t get posted but it’s pretty easy to see what’s what in the pics. the small white figure appears to be either a Greek or Roman soldier.
@kc5rbq yayy you got it! Sorry Its not as cool or elaborate as the others but with it comes with an extra… I had to order more resin. I was matched with someone different at first so you’re still getting something else but ill message you on the side for that. I didn’t want to ruin the “surprise” before something got delivered
@kc5rbq I sent you a message on elfster! Take a look and lmk!
@triplebud Just saw your message and replied on Elfster.
@kc5rbq FYI the print stuff is a little too big for my bed but I’m in a community of 3D print people around my area. My good buddy with a larger machine is going to try on his instead. It will be plastic instead of resin but for what you’re using it for that might actually be sturdier anyway. I’ll keep you posted (I didn’t forget about you)
Wow.
More details and a pic later, but for now, let it be known that one of the items in the box bore the motto “Forsan Et Haec Olim Meminisse Iuvabit”
@werehatrack i had to google that…will be interesting to see
@werehatrack Dang! Raise the bar!
Hey @conan785, could you post your haul here in this thread, please?
@Pony Hope you get a reply… This is why I didn’t participate this year, my recipient last year never really posted anything (and I spent a lot of time picking out their goodies.) Was a big Meh for me. (My elf did a very nice job, and I appreciated that, but the giving part was the fun part, and to get no acknowledgement, meh. meh.)
@CBL_WV Same- my recipient last year didn’t post here either. Both sent me thank you notes on Elfster, which was nice, but it isn’t the same.
@CBL_WV @Pony Yeah having people not post sucks. I’ve had 3 not do that, one of whom I gave a bunch of meh branded stuff to as they had complained they had never gotten any nor the fuko bags. What a waste of my good stuff on them!!!. I did pass on to the current people the meh names of people who didn’t post back when I ran it 5 or 6 times. And people who continue with that behavior get banned from future exchanges.
Okay, I took too long composing the list, so here it is as a reply:
Okay. In no particular order…
Orange IRK bag (Yay!)
Fukubukuro string bag (Yay, new travel laundry bag!)
Meh-dallion (Neat!)
Vurra nize watch
Small power bank with credit card wallet (useful)
Larger power bank (always useful)
Flying Woot Monkey (Not Dead Yet!)
Kindle Fire case (Now I have an excuse to get an actual Kindle)
Phone weather-resistant hang-around-neck bag (I just need to remember I have it)
Moar TrackRs (Tradition!)
(Not shown) Two mugs, one perfect and one Traditional (which I’ll use as a flowerpot after drilling a hole in the bottom)
USB 2.0 hub (will go in a tertiary laptop case)
Notepad (always useful)
Crabby wallet (probably immediately useful)
Dinner Is Coming apron (Nice!)
3D puzzle (Shark!)
Box or stainless steel straws (I will find uses for these)
Extra-grippy nitrile gloves (Did I mention that I do my own car maintenance and repairs?)
Tent peg mallet/extractor (All Hammers Are Useful)
UV sanitizer wand thingy (spare)
Novelty silicone spatula in the size that I always need just one more of than is in the utensil bucket!
And many thanks, @remo28
@werehatrack blame Fed ex for the mug. They were both in one piece when they went into the box. Glad everything made it to you and some of it was useful. Yay that the woot monkey still works. He’s been in a box in the closet with his siblings for a while. But his tab never got pulled and his rubber arms still seemed like he could fly.
The medallion/ challenge coin is from the meh toothbrush saga. Look up that story if you haven’t read it yet, it was a fiasco with quip and lawyers. The kindle case is from the old box of neoprene sale which for some unknown reason (rum maybe) I ordered 2 boxes of. And of course trackers, I still have like 28 if you need more.
@remo28 @werehatrack I remember the quip saga, but not what the code on the coins are
@remo28
Oh, I knew that the mug was FedEx’s fault, but still, that kind of mug arriving with the handle in two pieces is a Tradition all by itself. And it won’t entirely go to waste; the bowl of the mug was sound, and I might even Dremel the sharp edges and use it for a small soup bowl. It’s the right size.
@remo28
The Quip saga…
Oh. Dear. Definitely Meh-worthy.
I’ve been slacking getting my box out (sorry!) but received my gifts already. In the box was a bunch of season appropriate items, to start, some xmas towels, stocking, tree frame, reindeer decoration, wine stoppers, tray, creamer, scarf and hat set, bandana, earbags (lol), couple keychains, bracelet, wallet, brush and nail kit, doggo figures, whole bunch of dice, school bus, mini shortwave radio, card and crumpled up newspaper page from Feb2001! Thanks @marylynne7!
@mikeleemm lol this is awesome. what are earbags!?
POPSOCKETS! ROAD ROCKETS! SONNY CROCKETT! AWESOME!
@mehhhhname Earmuffs in bag form!
@mikeleemm
@mikeleemm i’m glad you like it! I had fun seeing how much little stuff I could cram into one of those middle size USPS boxes
@mikeleemm
The Xmas stuff is very cute.
My Mehrican exchange box from PK Ducky arrived. Eye received one WiFi quote funny coffee or tea mug. Which, eye did add to the elfster wish list since it should have something apparently. Thanks for not adding to my storage pile.
@whomeyesu hahahahahah
@whomeyesu Lol I love this mug! I gotta get one for my brother now
@nonlion It is a good replacement to this broken one.
@nonlion was looking originally for exact replacement yet found the wi-fi instead.
Where can i get a xmas box!!!
@kitkatkurtis There was a signup thread earlier this month.
Both my giftee and I will be getting our packages today according to tracking.
@mbersiam the one you sent has arrived, I’m working from home today so I should get a chance to look at / post soonish
My MIL picked up the box from the post office this morning, can’t wait to get home and open it!
Wow@GT0163c! My box came today you really went above and beyond!
First thing was a soft TShirt. Will definitely fit at least one of us!
*foldable wireless headphones
*Facemasks Great to keep in car for when someone forgets!
*mustache paper clips
A 2021 ornament might actually be for 2020 but I’m calling it 21
*Logitech pouch
*slipper socks
*toothbrush in case
*Some kind of Delta faucet things have no idea what they are! Lol
*Wine stoppers now I don’t have to finish off the bottle myself
*puzzle eraser
*A watch band mold??
This was amazing and so much fun!
@lc1976 I’m glad you like it and can use at least some of the stuff.
The Delta Faucet things are “ear savers”. It goes around the back of your head and you can hook the ear loops of a face mask around the little sticky out things. The round bit in the middle even goes around a (hypothetical) pony tail.
@lc1976
@gt0163c “Delta” I get it, lol they might actually be great for my grandson! What is the watch mold thing? Thanks again
@lc1976 Meh sold them for a while. They’re a wristband you can put sunscreen or hand sanitizer into (have to put it into the little bottle first and then squirt it into the wrist band?).
Found a large pasta drop box on my porch at lunch. I did not find a username anywhere, but it came from MI. A wide variety of useful items, and trackers.
Bella personal pie maker (I don’t need to make pie, but I will)
2 salsa bowls
Cast iron double wall hook
Travel sound machine
6 Trackers (including a pink one, I already had the other colors)
Purple woot bag
Blue irk bag
Green long sleeve shirt with mask built in says small, but looks bigger.
Thunder boom speaker (daughter already tried to steal)
Herb saver (the Guinea pigs are already telling me to go buy parsley to test it out)
Reading glasses
Purple flashlight
Woot BOC sticker
Wootopoly
HP 3d printed logo display (will be going to my desk at work)
Thank you mystery person. Lots of it will get put to use.
@remo28 awesome box!! You have @american_badger to thank for that!
VAN MURALS! GROUND SQUIRRELS! SPIT CURLS! AWESOME!
@remo28
Very nice box
@remo28
I greatly admire your spirit!
My box from @mbersiam arrived this morning, days before it’s expected delivery and as a bit of a surprise since tracking went from “We acknowledged that the box exists” to “out for delivery” without many steps in between.
A lot of recycled IRK fillings in the box, but thankfully no trackers since I still have dozens of those.
Bright blue IRK bag
Monk shower curtain, currently using one, saving this one for the day that I have 2 showers(one can dream right?)
Black and blue knit winter hat, now have matching hats with someone when we go out
Choppy cutting tool with tray, I’m totally gonna lose a finger to this thing, but until then this seems like it would we great for chopping herbs
A “goat” notebook, additionally personalized with “meh.” sticker, for now this goes in a pile with a few other blank notebooks, but I promise one day I’ll remember how to write
A lasagna cookbook which has done really good looking good in it, when I have the time I think I’m gonna bastardise one of the recipes with some of the 50ish pounds of linguine I still have (or maybe try one of the non lasagna pasta dishes also in the book)
Flower cookie cutters, to go with my bunny and egg cookie cutters
An iphone case and 3 packs of screen protectors, I really need to make friends with an iphone user
And in the black box that I didn’t unpack before taking the picture, a leather jewelry roll up, decent quality, I’m gonna figure out a way to repurpose for something
Overall a very good mix of useful and useless items and much less regrettable than a normal IRK.
Thanks @mbersiam !
um… WOW… Thank you @miscreant !!
After a very long day of work followed up by an after-work work meeting, I was so happy to come home to see a GIANT package delivered to me.
I can tell you put thought behind the gifts and also threw in some very IRK-ish items too. I may miss stuff if I just list the items, so I took a lot of photos!
Let’s start with the presentation. The gorgeous orange bag with the meh sticker and note on top. Perfection.
As I dug in, I found one lonely trackr at first and thought it was a great nod to the IRKs… then I found the rest Thank you.
Little stuff for each of my kiddos, a Llama Llama book for my youngest, a pink bag and unicorn diary for my middle one, and of course my teenager wants to lay claim on the… KEURIG. A FREAKING KEURIG! (This is really awesome because my boss got me k-cups for christmas and my husband bought me a coffee grinder. I am a coffee lover!)
This was a great mix of gifts and recycled IRK items. Thanks again!
Also, in the little pink bag was this SD card. I wonder if there are some NFTs or something on it
VAN MURALS! GROUND SQUIRRELS! SPIT CURLS! AWESOME!
@mbersiam a Keurig?! Wow!
@iutami @mbersiam Some ppl are totally against the actual bpa pod brewing process since, let’s be honest it’s still plastic which hot water hits prior to the final product. We are all going to die eventually. Those of us whom use pod machines likely sooner than those who don’t. However, smokers usually won’t out live any of them. A few ppl eye know gave there family members their pod machines since they went to expresso brewing machines. We personally enjoy our single brewer from one of the earliest models. Less bells and whistles, more durability.
@mbersiam @whomeyesu makes sense. We used to have a Nespresso which has pods from metal I think- kind of like a foil pod. Forgot Keurig is plastic. Still pretty cool and I don’t think it really heats the pod long enough for any chemical leaching.
@mbersiam Glad it made it there okay. The Keurig made it in the box because we felt it was true IRK style…
Story behind the Keurig is we bought one on sale to have when we have guests because my husband does the pour method. Guest are too impatient for this. LOL
Well we used it for 3 days and it stopped working. We called, did a warranty exchange and they sent a new one. Then hubby said “I am gonna take it apart now that it doesn’t matter if I break it.” He took it apart and put it back together and it worked again. So we used it 2 days and said well, we don’t need 2. LOL
So it comes with, how long will this work? True Irk Style.
Anyway, hopefully you all get a full life out of it!
@iutami @mbersiam @whomeyesu Yeah they really don’t get coffee really hot. My husband typically has to reheat his coffee after he has a cup out of the Keurig.
@iutami @mbersiam @miscreant Your husband sounds complicated. He kind of reminds me of my wife. Wife says “do not order me that. Eye do not eat that neither/ or that on that as well.” Eye say " well you figure out what you want and than let me get what eye want."
@whomeyesu ha!
So my box said it was delivered today (I knew to be expecting it bc I tracked it) I was home all day and received 3 other packages, 2 right around the time my box would have been delivered. I know it wasn’t stolen bc we were in the living room the whole time with the front porch light on and would had seen someone. The tracking said it was left on my porch but didn’t show a pic. I checked with my neighbors who I know and they didn’t get it either. I didn’t see it on any of the porches across the street so I don’t know where they supposedly delivered it to. @ironcheftoni I sent a message on elfster but I don’t know if that goes to you or my sender. I’m gonna call ups in the morning but without a pic or address it’s hard to say where it is. I feel really bad for the sender bc it said the box was 12lbs and I don’t want them to be out anything good/monetary value if I can’t locate it. Hopefully they have insurance on it and can get refunded if I can’t find it.
I will be sending my box out Friday (Nothing like waiting till the last min) I’ve been getting things from different places and it’s taken time.
@Star2236 see if it got miss delivered. If it doesn’t show up in a day or two I will put something else together. Btw, I was the one that sent it. To make looking easier, it was in a Pasta Drop box.
@Vrysen
That will make it a lot easier to look for thank you.
@Star2236 Oh No! I hope it shows up! Thank you @vrysen for being a hero!
@Vrysen
I found it, it was delivered houses down and he found it late at night and held on to it for us (he’s been a good friend of the family since he moved in) until yesterday when we were home. I’ll post pics later but I just wanted to let you know. Thank you.
Hmm… I guess this would be the appropriate place to post this, even though @miscreant and I weren’t partnered up in the exchange. I just got a box with two pair of leggings, a candle that’s labeled Maple bourbon praline but hubby and I both think it smells exactly like kettle corn, and a gorgeous purple Nightmare Before Christmas mug! (as well as a very sweet handwritten note) Thank you so much, @miscreant! What a lovely surprise!
@Pony Oh yay! I am so glad it made it. I was so nervous the candle or cup was going to break but I tried to package it in a way it wouldn’t.
I have no idea what size pants you wore, but I was hoping I was getting lucky when sending those leggings. They were ones I picked up that I had no use for and I was like “heck, I’ll take a chance.” Maybe if they don’t fit you can make something cool out of them. I see you are a bit creative. Also, I am aware you can’t light the candle but I sent it because of what it looked like on the outside. Hope this brought you a little bit of joy after the “week from Hell” you had.
@miscreant It really made my day. Thanks again.
Love that coffee mug~
Here is what I got, from @ironcheftoni (I think)
Christmas themed silicon spatula
dish towel
a sample of steak seasoning
a new paintbrush
plastic spice rack (without the spice jars)
note cube
homemade? trivet
Almond English toffee w/ pecans
fancy foil paper
tub of staples
Texas Rangers Ornament
Socks (several pair)
WD-40 Pen
Birthday Decoration
Car cupholder coaster
Poop Emoji stress ball
Phase 10 card game
Battery Bank

fettucine pasta
Homemade Smoky Chili Spiced Pecans (Favorite)
@josegarciajr Yes, it’s me! hope you like everything. You forgot to add the tub of staples was in a Staples office supplies store bag (dad joke!)
Glad you like the pecans. It’s my original recipe. The trivet/pot holder is handmade. Which is what delayed the shipment.
@ironcheftoni @josegarciajr The dish towel is a hoot. And wow, homemade delicacies from a prize-winning chef - yummy!
@josegarciajr I love BlueQ! I have a few of their dish towels and a lot of their socks. I even have the Easy Challenge socks and they are super soft! And my husband has several sets of the Simply Unstitched and loves them. He told me tonight that he gets complimented on them at work all the time!
@ironcheftoni Everything was awesome, I need to step up my game for next time.
HIKING! VIKINGS! STRIKE KING [BRAND FISHING LURES]! AWESOME!
@ironcheftoni @josegarciajr
Where did you get the fancy aluminum foil, I love it. Great box in all.
@josegarciajr @Star2236 I think it was part of the one and only BOC I got from woot on their 15th anniversary
@josegarciajr No way - my mom’s name is Mom too!
Also, Phase 10 is a fun card game.
@josegarciajr The Penzey’s Steak Seasoning is rather good. All of Penzey’s spices are.
@ironcheftoni @josegarciajr I believe that for the benefit of all Meh-nkind that the recipe for these nuts should be shared!
@josegarciajr @tohar1
Here ya go
Smoky Chili Spiced Pecans
for each 1 cup of pecan halves:
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon fine grain salt (popcorn salt or take regular or kosher salt and run it through the food processor or spice grinder
Melt butter in skillet. Add pecans and saute until toasted and fragrant. remove from heat and drain excess butter away from pecans. Combine spices and salt to ziptop bag. Add pecans and shake bag to thoroughly coat with spices. Spices may adjusted to taste. Store in an airtight container.
@ironcheftoni @josegarciajr That looks delicious. May have to make it to serve alongside my “Pretzels on Crack”…
My box is on the way, woohoo!
@lichme Mine is too! I’m really excited for it to get here. My recipient got his last Sunday (according to tracking) but has not posted anything in this reveal thread. Maybe it had too much regret? Plus, I never found out his Meh name or I’d tag him here.
@lichme @steeltoesenator @sillyheathen can help locate your match
@iutami @lichme @sillyheathen Just got a thank you on Elfster from my recipient. Glad to know he got it for sure. My elf already let me know mine would be a tad late (which is fine) so I get the joy of anticipation for longer than some of you. That’s one of the best parts (other than seeing everyone’s reveals) - the joy of the anticipation!
Well! I received a phenomenal box from the fabulously generous @cbilyak! Not my first, either, because I was lucky enough to get a Meh’s-birthday-celebration box from her this summer. I didn’t provide much of a wish list, so she did a great job of stalking me.
First up, a rare yellow Irk bag, which I did wish for; some warm fuzzy slipper socks, a white summer-weight bathrobe, a yellow squeezy dude, and PASTA! Also 2 CDs: “Austin Music volume 10” and "Josh Turner - Haywire."
Then some things to tease me, I suspect, for my complaints about fart and poop jokes :
And then 2 more packages, one wrapped in a copious amount of bubblewrap (eat yer heart out, @felton10!) And one in fancy paper with a slightly scary Santa ornament:
And in those - first, some wonderful-looking ICE WINE! because I’ve said I prefer sweeter wine, plus a pretty sleeve for it.
And … best of all, an incredible cbilyak original creation! A cutting board with an adorable snowman on it!!!
Best elf ever! I was sulking a because I didn’t get in on the Cuisinart largess in the official December Meh Irk, but I feel much better now and super lucky!
Thank you so much!
@Kyeh I love ice wine!!! Enjoy
@tinamarie1974 It’s Italian! I’m excited to try it for the first time!
@Kyeh you will have to let me know what you think. There is a local winery here that makes it and I love it. Very sweet
@Kyeh @tinamarie1974 Please share regarding local StL winery & their ice wine
@compunaut @Kyeh @tinamarie1974 this is AMAZING!!! Yellow bag AND the artsy cutting board alone are epic!
@compunaut @sillyheathen @tinamarie1974
AREN’T they?!??
@Kyeh
You got my elusive yellow bag! Awesome box, I love ice wine too, always looking for new ones to try. The cutting board is awesome. @cbylyak work is awesome, what’s the Etsy store again?
MEALS! DEALS! EELS! AWESOME!
@Star2236 I know, I really lucked out!
It’s @cbilyak - but I don’t think she has an etsy store … I could be wrong!
@cbilyak @Kyeh
@cbilyak (sorry I misspelled you name I didn’t proofread) are your cutting boards usable or just for art?
@compunaut @Kyeh ok so somehow I whispered the winery info this morning. Clearly I was still asleep lol
Montelle Winery.
https://www.montelle.com/wine-store.html
@Kyeh @tinamarie1974
Way back when I lived in StL, I believe we used to trek out to Hermann for local wine adventures.
@compunaut @Kyeh I’ve done that a few times, it is just such a long drive. Augusta is much closer and the view (esp in the fall) is beautiful
@Kyeh @Star2236 sorry for the elay, on a cruise so only have wifi in port. They are usable, i do not sell them but happy to make one for you.
@Kyeh @tinamarie1974
A co-worker used to organize an annual bus trip out to Hermann - lots of drinking & no driving!
@compunaut @tinamarie1974 Great idea!
There’s a sight-seeing bus here that you can rent (or just join a tour) and they let you bring your own booze.
I may or may not have screwed up… my match already posted a box…which was much better than the crap I shipped out. Allthough I think I recall that we were able to sign up for more than one?
/giphy confused
@jimmyd103 they did a redraw on the 30th. Check for that mail (it says Redraw in the title) and if you are sending to that person, then likely the other person shipped based on the original match. That would be my guess.
@jimmyd103 Some people also did some side matches outside of the matches we did on elfster. I’ll check the list.
@kykazaa @ironcheftoni I didn’t send to the first mehtizen that I was matched with. I am shipping to the person whom elfster has me currently matched with…
@ShandaSunshine!!! Are you kidding me?
That box was awesome!
In addition to the decorated box and the note, each item in this box was individually wrapped for Christmas!
My girls loved opening them, and even said more than once while opening a gift, “I really like this person!”
The star of the box for the kids was definitely the 3-D printed Harry Potter chess set! With both my girls having read the series more than once, they were extremely excited for that. -I’ll try to share a better photo of that later.
Here’s a (hopefully) complete rundown:
Harry Potter chess set in a nice bag, Christmas stocking, tea and unusual sweetener to go with it, dental floss, Grandparent’s letters to grandkids book (which may go to my mother next week), two sided Ikea photo frame, Christmas ornament (already on our tree), milk chocolate bar WITH bacon and potato chips in it!, Hi-Chew banana candy, pumpkin spice sucker (already eaten by youngest kid), spiky ball thing (the dog is both interested in it and despises it at the same time), magnetic hook, Boba Fett Pop! doll, a “don’t lose your kid at an amusement park leash thing”, several reusable white, mesh produce bags, and an old Bandolier of Carrots bag.
There was much joy here while opening this box! Thank you so much @ShandaSunshine
PANS! GLANDS! CRAYONS! AWESOME!
@zachdecker
Please model the don’t loose your kind in an amusement park leash for us lol and would love to see the Harry Potter chess set.
@zachdecker I am so happy that it bought much joy to you and your family. I love that your girls found something fun in there also! Enjoy the tea, it’s really good.
@Star2236 Chess pieces are pictured here, blue vs white.
The king and queen for each set are represented by the four houses (lion, snake, eagle, and badger).
I am not sure which are supposed to the bishops, knights, and rooks, but I made the Hogwarts crest the rook and I made Dobby the knight (he pops in and out where you least expect him).
@ShandaSunshine @Star2236 @zachdecker Wow, that’s fantastic!
@zachdecker
It’s awesome! It amazes me what people can do.
POPSOCKETS! COURT DOCKETS! FOLK ROCK HITS! AWESOME!
@Star2236 @zachdecker as a potterhead I love this so much! I’ve been wanting to make a board and a set with my cnc but haven’t yet. This is really fantastic!
I got mine today! Although I’m not sure what their username is, and I don’t want post their real name publicly- we’ll go with DD.
So mine is basically an IT conference in a box. So many great little tchotchkes! Although it makes me question the quality of the IRKs I’ve been getting which seem to skew health and beauty….
They also printed me some neat little things- a soldering holder thing, a card holder, and a print in place dinosaur skeleton. The layer lines are nice and tight, I’m guessing they spent the extra time on a high quality print just for me
I realized you couldn’t really see the TRex in my photo, so here it is posing with my apatosaurus
@mrchristian nifty box! @mycya4me takes all the credit!
Thanks for filling me in, @ironcheftoni @mycya4me thank you ever so much!!
@mrchristian those are so cool!!
@mrchristian I am glad you liked it … you said you were Computery… The Tube is quite handy. FYI the bag is from my Box I got last year. I though you could use the Tracker…hehehe
So how did you like the BOX/ the way it was shipped??? hehehe
@mrchristian I am glad the TRex has a good Home. make sure you feed him! BTW the Bookmark is froma kool SciFi Con!
@mycya4me That tube is going to be super handy- I’m throwing the cable straight in to my travel bag!
I didn’t even realize until just now the shenanigans with the box- shipping UPS with a USPS freebie box, I like it
As for the trackrs… I’ll add them to the pile @koolhandjoe
screwedhooked me up with…@Koolhandjoe @mrchristian @mycya4me
SHIPPING UPDATE: I AM TERRIBLE. No excuses–I’m a procrastinator and the past week and a half was derailled by teeth, but it wouldn’t have mattered if I weren’t a procrastinator. I spent a lot of time sitting around feeling sorry for myself, feeling old, thinking it’s weird that my horrendous tooth pain coincided with the anniversary of my dad’s death (a man well-known for his terrible teeth). I could have focused on the box to distract myself, it would have been a good idea. But the root canal’s behind me now, and I just checked pirateship.com, and it turns out that I can send a larger box for significantly less money than flat-rate, so I’ve pivoted to an empty IRK box and should have it out tomorrow. It won’t be delivered by the 20th, but it will have more junk in it!
PS I will post the box I got when I’ve shipped mine. I might throw a Christmas ornament or two from it into the one I’m sending, but will not cannibalize it otherwise.
@mossygreen it pays to compare boxes. Ive packed and repacked boxes up to three times. I’m getting good at box tetris!
@mossygreen I’m another bad procrastinator, and I don’t have nearly as good an excuse. Condolences on your dad’s death, and on the root canal, too.
@mossygreen I took a Medium Box from the USPS. I had found online that they will ship it for $16. But I also stopped by the UPS store & they said that it would go for $12. So UPS got it!
@mossygreen I just got my box out today (bad brain day yesterday), and yes, Pirate Ship saved me some dough!
@mossygreen @mycya4me Really?? Eye am very surprised that UPS would accept such up priority patented box. USPS will never allow a UPS or FedX box to go out. Was told Government and Federal restrictions will not allow the use of such sorry you can use our provided boxes or buy one on that shelf along with box tape. No thanks eye will 5
@whomeyesu, I had the Box, I had looked online to find out how much USPS would charge for the box to ship it. I double checked, It stated it would be around $16.xx,
I stopped by the UPS store to find out how much they would charge. USP stated that it would be $12.xx. a nice savings, I asked if I need to mark out the USPS/ & other marks. They stated Nope We will take it as is. I would have got a marker or another Box if they had requested it, No sweat! Fyi, in my youth I worked in 3 different Corp mailrooms. I learned a LOT of the rules, Sometime it is cheaper to send USPS, Some time it is cheaper to send UPS.
Hey I am sorry you get upset… BUT the bottom line is what that matters. I used my tape on the Bottom, UPS taped up the top. I had a label prepared, But UPS did NOT require it, But the USPS would have.
@mycya4me Not upset just surprised. Carriers or independently run sites set there own guidelines. It is quite possible once you left prior to parcel actually getting picked up by UPS driver that site did cover USPS logos or re-boxed everything. Eye have seen that done at one if my local UPS store drops. Although, most independently run sites try to make funds on everything.
@Kyeh Thanks. He died a pretty long time ago, but it stays with you. And it’s like my tooth was being haunted.
Mine is out and lagging behind by a couple of days, should be there Wednesday.
@tyler524 I am so glad to know I’m not the only one. Thanks to the organizers for setting a due date well ahead of 2022, so those of us who miss deadlines will still at least meet that one!
Got my box and had a blast opening it. Thank you very much @ vrysen for everything! I got
IQ puzzler, interested in trying it out. Good for the brain
Longsleeve shirt with built in mask, the biggest xs I’ve ever seen. It looks like it will fit me
And a blue bag
Very awesome and totally happy with the stuff. Thanks again.
VAN GOGH! MANGO! TANGO! AWESOME!
@Star2236 I’m so glad it got to you!
@Vrysen
Me too!

Cool magnet for the high school nearby!
@speediedelivery I believe that I have three chicken thermometers like that one around here somewhere
@speediedelivery Great box of IRK! @jchizmar done good!
Thanks to my secret Elfster buddy missmessye for taking the time and making the effort to put a smile on my face (and the kids too of course). Most of the items have already been claimed by the offspring, but I’m keeping the oversized zippo all to my self! Thanks again @missmessye and have a wonderful holiday season!
Our Mehexchange came yesterday. Thank you @tohar1
Picnic table cloth with clips
Muscle Trainer
Fake Lashes
A cute ornament that is actually body wash
Casino Royale DVD
A battery pack
Grape Leaves (Hubby actually really loves these and swore I mentioned them to our gifter.)
Pepper Flakes - these are cool. Hubby loves hot things and we have never tried these before.
And of course he threw in a wish sign. We have gone so long without one, I guess it was our time! LOL
I can’t wait to gift it to someone else, I might be this away for next year.
Oh and I almost forgot. Magic Wash Berries. They didn’t do well getting shipped but they are now safe in the ziplock bag the body wash came in. I am actually really excited about these. I can be a bit crunchy sometimes so I look forward to trying these out! TY!
@miscreant I wish you guys the best the holidays have to offer! If hubs likes the peppers, check out their other offerings. They have a ton of blends & they are sooooo awesome!! I took a chance on the Dolmas…wasn’t sure if you were adventurous. I hope you enjoy them as well. The vast majority of the rest of the pack was things that came to me in IRKs or Meh purchases that I never got to & thought they should have a new home. Again, have a GREAT Christmas!
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
@tohar1 I can’t believe we lived in Denver so long and never knew about this company. We will for sure be checking them out to hopefully find a new favorite for the hubs.
The Dolmas, we had two in the pantry when we got these, so hubby was happy about this. Him and our 17 month old ate them with dinner tonight. We are a very adventurous family when it comes to our food. We love to travel and sometimes I think we just travel for food. LOL
Thank you so much again and we also hope you and your family have an amazing Christmas!
@miscreant “Travel for food”…I knew you were my kind of people!! I buy a LOT from Flat Iron Pepper Company & try to spread the word wherever possible. No kidding, I’d bet I have no less than 8-12 bottles of various products from them in my pantry at any time. Get on their email list…they have special offers, new products, free shipping offers regularly!
Also, not sure if you’d be interested, but I’m a member of Thrive Market where I buy the Dolmas. I got in for help w/ healthier choices & natural foods, but they also offer a TON of products that feed my adventurous side too.
I want to say thank you so SO much to @kathyboschee for this marvelous gift. Some people are getting like 50 items in their gifts, and some people are getting 3 or 4 items. I personally don’t care how many items I get; I care the amount of thought that is put into it and Kathy absolutely nailed it.
I tend to type a lot so I’ll try to keep it short:
-I got a 605 Best Magazine (I opened this first and was very confused about what it was but figured it out lol)
-I got a sticker and a post card from South Dakota (I like collecting things from the different states I’ve been to, so I’m happy to add these two to my collection )
-A lovely ash tray/trinket dish that is just so beautiful to look at
-A book about joy and mindfulness written by a local South Dakota author (This was insanely spot on. I love positivity and reading as many books as I can about increasing positivity and decreasing negativity, if that makes sense haha I just like filling my surroundings with positivity)
-The most important item of all: an adorable little ornament. It’s a metal box with wintery/Christmas scenes around it on the outside, and on the inside are three tiny little angels
Kathy, I really want you to know how much I truly appreciated these thoughtful gifts. I’ve been struggling with panic attacks and anxiety attacks for the past few months, and the box of angels was more impactful than you could’ve realized. I’ve been carrying it around in my pocket ever since I got it, like some people who carry around a lucky penny or a worry stone. And when my panic starts to flair up, I just remind myself that I have my ‘three little angels’ looking after me and that everything will be okay. If anyone thinks that’s cheesy, that’s fine. I don’t care. It just means so much to me. So truly thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of this! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
@kathyboschee @nonlion
The trinket dish is very pretty.
@kathyboschee @nonlion Gifter must be nearly a neighbor (701 resident here). I’ve been to Aberdeen several times, and can recommend should your travels ever allow.
@kathyboschee @nonlion @tohar1 ohhhh Eye am a guy. Eye know that eye do not actually feel all sorrows and my wife easily cries over things that she feels eye should be able to control more. Ever so much my clutter that finds itself throughout the house as its spread out of the maximum staging guidelines we had in place. That as well as not spending enough time with family causes much stress on our marriage.
Now, reading the essay about the three angels just made me tingle and eyes began to water than nearly a tear started again as eye type. That may sound corny to some of the readers. Allthough apparently thats how our relationship has lasted over 20 years. She understands me and eye may not always understand her. Eye do have a heart and definitely feel emotion which shows its true self occasionally. @nonlion Keep up the positive vibes as it will suppress the negative ones.
@kathyboschee @nonlion fantastic box!
@nonlion So glad you liked it. I hope you have a wonderful holiday!
@whomeyesu thank you! My goal every day is to keep positive vibes stronger than any negative ones. And it doesn’t sound corny to me
@kathyboschee Thank you, you too!!
My exchange package from @smigit2002 arrived earlier this week. Since I was running behind, I made myself set it aside until I had packed up and sent mine out. So my apologies for delaying the reveal of this incredible collection of stuff.
First, the outside. With markings both ominous and tantalizing, I don’t know what to expect.
Now, the amazingly densely packed inside. How did you get all this into a medium flat rate box?
Thanks a bunch, @smigit2002! This was an excellent experience to receive and open, no apologies needed at all. I might need to apologize for my own, though.
@djslack Yay! Glad it made it safe and sound, and that you enjoyed the cookies! There was a lot of gentle stuffing involved to get it all in there, sadly a few items had to get cut
Can’t wait to see the tramp stamp!
@djslack Stellar job my friend! Totally disappointed at the haul this year. I mean c’mon.
2 Track’r’pixels, I will use these every day.
And not one, but two emergency window hammers for the next time I total my truck.
1 HP thin client with VGA ports!!! I’m going to have to pull a CRT out of the closet to fire it up, but who can’t use a little classic computing power. And hey it even came with a power adapter…I mean without the power adapter this thing would have totally disappointed, but now I have to go see what’s on it.
1 Pickle ornament claimed by my daughter whose nickname is pickles.
1 Intel metal coozie for bottles, every man cave needs one of these.
1 golden glittery Wish to make my dreams come true.
1 Clamp Champion looks like a truly stellar item, but I will have to give it to my brother the pilot who likes to Mount things on his legs.
3 strands of Mardi Gras beads that undoubtedly have seen their share of action. I’ll be sure to bring them to LA next time I am down there and see if they can get some more.
1 red Meh bag with some gold wishful glitter on it.
And the piece de resistance…the golden Harry Potter! Thanks for the great haul! But again, was really hoping for less.
@kykazaa A pickle ornament! Yay! I’ve always wanted one. Glad your daughter got it!
@kykazaa well UPS certainly underpromised and overdelivered. They told me you wouldn’t get it until Tuesday.
The HP also has displayport. It can still disappoint you yet
Glad you enjoyed it!
@kykazaa errrrmahgerrrrrd! The HP Lego is amazing! Fab job @djslack!
@kykazaa @steeltoesenator Eye have at least one pickle ornament on the tree. Originally have at least three. When wife decorated tree only found the one. No idea what it symbolizes maybe eye should ask my web assistant although currently eye am to lazy to ask. I do know the origins from which they were sent from my great job.
@whomeyesu the story of the pickle is it’s supposed to be for the kids to hunt on Christmas morning, whoever finds the pickle gets an extra gift Santa left.
@kykazaa ooooh! Harry Potter legos is so the opposite of meh !
@kykazaa
I love the door step/window breaker thing. Such a neat invention. It takes little to get me excited.
@djslack Eye discovered that answer myself as eye felt better after sleeping on it. It could instead bring good luck for the one who finds it as well.
My match should get their box in the next few days! Super stoked to see what they think!
@sillyheathen Mine has been at the pick up point for two days now? Common, UPS, you have ONE JOB.
@brainmist It’s really difficult but I do try to be more patient at this time of year. The shipping companies get overwhelmed because we increase their volume of business exponentially. I have a friend who drives for fed ex. He was telling me in the area here they have less drivers and more packages than they did last year so they’re really feeling it. Then add weather complications etc and it really starts to get choked in places. He’s working 14-16 hours a day with no break until Christmas Day. I can’t even begin to imagine how exhausted those peeps are right now.
@sillyheathen Ugh, fair point.
I shall save my vitriol for FedEx, on account of their flat-out lies.
@brainmist I get it. We’re all giddy and anxious. It’s hard to not get annoyed.
Mine is supposed to come Christmas Eve! Can’t wait
My gift is as a UPS access point with no delivery date The gift I sent out will arrive tomorrow… I tried a new thing… Not sure I love the results… I hope my person likes it, but I will not be offended if they trash it… other good things in the box tho!! (Imho)
My match’s box arrived friday!
@mehhhhname
@mehhhhname oohhh I want to see the reveal of what you sent!
@mehhhhname I was wrong - arrived Thursday!
@mehhhhname My match’s box was delivered today!
@iutami yay!! Reveals are the funnest part
@iutami @mehhhhname Yes! And I’ll be posting the reveal later or tomorrow. It’s a wonderful, wonderfully blue box of blue (mostly) things. And no regret, well except for maybe the TrackR’s. Just wouldn’t be a great Xmas IRK without 'em though…
@mehhhhname @steeltoesenator I’m so glad you’re happy!! And when you said you never got an IRK I HAD to include trackers!
@iutami @mehhhhname and not one but TWO IRK bags (also blue!)
@mehhhhname @steeltoesenator Yes! Those too! I had the theme in my head and ran with it but my favorite item is the mug and hope you love it too!
Mine came Saturday, just got time to open it, updates to come tomorrow!
My box came in very early but I’ve been super busy with first graders and now we’re on Christmas break!
My box had:
adult coloring book, colored pencils, cd photo album, 1 TrackR, fart pen, 2 regular pens and highlighter
spatula, wine stoppers, butterfly notepad, stickies, 5 fidget spinners, hair removal kit, pajamas, tan irk bag
Thanks for the mix @speediedelivery I took the fidget spinners to school for the prizebox
@rhcurry02 If you need more spinners……
Mine arrived while I was working a 16 your shift in the ER. Don’t open it till right before we left for vacay in Key Colony Fl over Christmas. Took pics at 5am just before heading to the airport. Just now having time to actually post!
Thanks @supersox for taking the time to get my wishlist covered
Item one
Item 2
![enter image description here][4]
@chienfou edit time ran out…
Item 3
(Surprise me)
Well played @supersox
And a very meh-ry Christmas to you too.
@chienfou @Supersox
That’s awesome. Good use of the peas, I would have never came up with that one.
LEGOS! EGGOS! STRATEGO! AWESOME!
@chienfou @Supersox
Wow! What a clever and delightful assortment - absolutely perfect!
@chienfou So creative! I love it!
I delivered mine to a front stoop today!
@mikibell oh… Duh. @savvysapphire
I couldn’t be more grateful for the great and thoughtful gifts that were given to me! My Elfster took the time to get gifts as close to my wish list and couldn’t be happier!
So thank you so much @nonlion for everything! YOU ROCK! And the Lensball is by far one of my favorite gifts I’ve received in a long time!!
The box incudes :
Airbuds wireless earphones with wireless charger pad
A heated jacket (large) perfect!
Bath and Body Works Graphite body wash (Smells Gr8)
4 different types of teas (can’t wait to try)
Some nice pair of shorts (fit great)
A cow ducky
And finally a Lensball for photography(this thing is sweeeeet! Can’t to take some awesome photos with it)
So glad that I was able to be a part of the 1st annual Mehrican Holiday Gift exchange and i’m excited for next year!!!
Merry Christmas to all and all hope you got some good crap! !
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
@ibetonyt
@ibetonyt I’m so glad you enjoyed everything! I really did try to curate it as closely to your wishlist as possible so I’m happy to see it all worked out. The Lens Ball was actually something I had bought from Woot months back because I also do photography as a hobby, but I haven’t been giving my photography much time for awhile. So when I saw Lens Balls on your Wishlist, I was like “Yes! I have this exact item, it’s his!” Better than it just sitting around, being unused at my place haha
@ibetonyt @nonlion
Wow! What a perfect match-up!!!
@nonlion I’ll be sure to share some photos in the future with the Lensball here in a thread somehow! Happy Holidays!
@ibetonyt
I’ve always wanted to try one of those lens balls. Please be sure to tag me in your photos so I can see them.
If you haven’t sent please send ASAP as the deadline is today. If you haven’t posted what you received please do that ASAP.
MARK YOU SENT ON ELFSTER so you don’t get bugged for not sending (but your receiver might get bugged for not revealing). Please don’t make the organizer figure out you have sent by way of seeing a reveal!
If you are having issues with either let @ironcheftoni know so you don’t risk getting banned in the future. And let your “person” know what is up so they aren’t left wondering.
@Kidsandliz Yes. Marking on elfster that you have sent and including the tracking number helps @sillyheathen and I “balance the books” so to speak. It also helps your recipient know to look for the package.
@ironcheftoni @Kidsandliz @sillyheathen
Sent, finally. Had to uphold my reputation for extreme procrastination, after all!
@ironcheftoni @Kyeh @sillyheathen My nephew once apologized for a 2 or so month late thank you note and told me procrastination was his best skill. he practiced it a lot.
@ironcheftoni @Kidsandliz @sillyheathen
Well … I don’t actually take any pride in it, but it’s a life-long character trait, so I guess I might as well own it.
(Not sure why she’s so happy about it!)
@ironcheftoni @Kidsandliz @Kyeh @sillyheathen
Mine apparently sat at the drop off for THREE DAYS!
But it’ll get there soon!
@ironcheftoni @Kyeh @sillyheathen
Because some things you procrastinate long enough you no longer have to do them?
@ironcheftoni @Kidsandliz @sillyheathen
There’s the flip side of regret for missed opportunities, though.
@Kidsandliz @ironcheftoni
@ironcheftoni
I see others are talking about not being on time to ship, I’m here to fess up! It’s Dec 24th and my box is being shipped out today. I apologize to the recipient, AW in Michigan. Not proud but procrastination has always been a thing for me.
Got my box today! It is so perfect - I will post more later. Thank you so much
Holy cats! I mean ducks!
@upbeatduck
Wow, what a load of awesomeness!!! Thank you so much Upbeat Duck!! My gift arrived early and I was desperately in need of some cheer! My father goes in for heart surgery tomorrow so this brought some happiness into my day.

-Frank the Hobo
DIPLOMAT! RAT-A-TAT! FAT CAT! AWESOME!
@frankthehobo Terrific assortment of great things! I hope everything goes well for your father.
@frankthehobo - I was stalking my tracking at least twice a day to see when it would arrive. When it updated I was pumped as I was impatient to see how you liked it all. You said you wanted random when I asked on elfster and I hope I delivered. It sounds like you have a plan for almost everything in the box, even with how random it is.
Good luck tomorrow and glad I can keep you and him safe with some of the meh goodies I sent.
@frankthehobo P.S. There should be youtube videos for the “airpods” if you have any issues connecting them.
@frankthehobo
Good luck with your father, I know from personal experiences how stressful and terrifying any surgery with parents can be.
@UpbeatDuck thank you again. Two stints later and my dad is doing okay! Now for a couple days of rest and light duty for two weeks!!
Holy cow! My mom dragged the huge box @mikibell left on my doorstep. She let my two crazy cats out for half and hour and they pulled the box partially open and chewed the edges (shown in first photo). There is so much stuff it took up my loveseat and a seat of my couch! I don’t think I could even list it all. Loved the note (and I’ll keep the shot glass server, it will totally go with the collection and I absolutely love the handmade meh shot glass. It will be my new prized possession. I took several pics in hopes you can see all of it! What fun to discover everything in the box, my mom watched me open it and couldn’t believe how much there was!!
@savvysapphire What a stupendous haul!!!
@savvysapphire WOW! That’s absolutely phenomenal! I think there are a few other handmade creations in there too, right? Like the tiny yellow shirt and the two nifty Christmas ornaments?
Ahem … in the words of someone earlier in this thread, @mikibell - “overachiever!”
@savvysapphire is that a tardis mask?!?
@savvysapphire @sillyheathen yup… My son is a dr. Who fan
@Kyeh @savvysapphire hehee… I had fun… I made the meh shot glass, the shot tray (glows in the dark!) And a bottle opener. The shot tray was kind a flop… No level places in my house. The sweater is the prototype for the sweaters I made this year. The masks are made by my daughter and me. I made the sparkle sign, somewhere there should be a piece of chalk, it has a blackboard on the back. Oh, and the chapstick holder. I did not make the ornaments. I bought them at a kids’ craft fair.
To be fair, I lucked out again this year and my elfster match was an hour away. It is easy to overachieve when postage is not an issue.
@savvysapphire oh good, I am glad you like it
. i tried to stalk you but my powers were not so great this year… I found something about cats and magnets, I dont know much about cats, so I sent the giant magnets, hoping they wouldn’t be choking hazards. The shot glass was on your list. Umm the item with the safety glasses was an odd acquisition. I bought a “portable laser engraver”, one of those too good to be true deals. I received that snip thing and clear safety glasses. I challenged it through paypal and almost immediately they refunded my money… No questions asked, like they had dealt with the scam before. a lot of the stuff is past meh purchases/irk stuff.
@savvysapphire I need those lawn darts! Heading to Amazon to search for them now!
@savvysapphire @wifeduck I have 2 more seta that do not have a home… Pay shipping and they are yours! I bought them as THE PERFECT Christmas gift and it turns out the person got them last year
@sillyheathen yup!
@mikibell I love it all! Most of it has found homes already. I loved the shot glass! I’ll have to check out the glow in the dark properties tonight! Something in the box caught the cats attention lol! They’ll be fine, I’ve learned to monitor what they get into and usually they leave stuff they shouldn’t touch alone! I’m actually giving my brother and sister in law those lawn darts. They have all kinds of stuff for their backyard and should love the lawn darts!
@Kyeh @mikibell @savvysapphire
What an amazing box! Where’s the chapstick holder? I’m always loosing my chapstick on my nightstand.
@Star2236 second to last photo, bottom left, chevron material on a key ring
@mikibell
Oh I know what that is, I think I have that exact same one.
I only had one item on my wishlist and my elf @iutami knocked it out of the park with my everything (almost) is blue box of Mehrry Christmas cheer! On opening I was greeted with a blue IRK bag and a fabulous pop up card!
Then followed by this haul of stuff. Not singing the blues here; great variety of useful things. (Well, maybe except for the TrackR pixels)
And pretty sure PoJo the wonder beagle (yes, he’s a lemon drop beagle) will be the envy of both the backyard and the dog park with his new Chuckit! balls (also mostly blue).
Oh, that one item on my wishlist? A Meh coffee mug and @iutami did not disappoint.
The rest of the haul:
A fat stack of coffee filters (always useful).
Chefs Host Christmas Too book by Darren Purchese (gonna try a couple of those recipes out soon).
A Blush pineapple shaped silicone ice mold (also blue).
A very bourgeois Kate Spade drink hugger in my second favorite color- plaid!
From the Romantic Roses collection, a necklace with interchangeable roses (but who needs red, purple, or ivory when one of them is BLUE!) that also came in a great round box. Very pretty @iutami, thanks!
Some beauty stuff, all in blue packaging: First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser, a Tula Instant Facial, Pili Ani Night Recovery Oil, and my favorite, a BLUE Eyeko eyelash curler.
A Best Accessories car charger jack.
A pair of Extreme Sound Sidekick earbuds in metallic blue (bluetooth of course).
One game, didn’t come with directions but we figured it out. 12"x24" clear plastic gameboard with pop it bubbles. Much fun!
@iutami knew I’d never scored an IRK so the addition of not one, but two IRK bags (both blue) and not one, not two, but THREE TrackR pixels certainly added to my Mehrry Christmas enjoyment with this special IRK. Thanks from the bottom of my heart @iutami!
@steeltoesenator So glad you like everything! I knew you had to have certain things to make up for not getting an IRK before. I do not have any recollection of adding a gameboard It took me several minutes to realize you were joking!! I need to finish my tea, clearly! Enjoy!
@iutami @steeltoesenator yay what an awesome and fun box!
WORKER BEES! HERCULES! TURKEY GREASE! AWESOME!
@iutami @mehhhhname It really is! I’m soaking coffee beans in vodka now to use later for a couple of the recipes in the Chefs Host Christmas Too book. Prolly for New Years not Christmas though…
I received my exchange gift. I’m a bit confused.
@cbooboo2 why do I feel like this is the start of an Escape Room game? Or a new Saw movie?
@iutami
@cbooboo2
@cbooboo2 oh my
/giphy concerned
@tinamarie1974 That was my exact expression
@cbooboo2 weapon of mass destruction?
@mikibell perhaps
@cbooboo2 @mikibell @tinamarie1974
Who sent you that box of meh?
@cbooboo2 I want to think there’s some cool secret something in this, but if so…you need a better clue. Maybe there is money slipped into the drive case? Smashy smashy!
perhaps there is a BTC wallet on the hard drive
@joebuddah haha wouldn’t that be awesome. the new “$20 bill in the side pocket of the meh bag”.
POPSOCKETS! COURT DOCKETS! FOLK ROCK HITS! AWESOME!
@joebuddah that would be cool
I got a big ole box of random awesomeness from @melanie413 today accompanied by a hand written note. I had to fight the kids off long enough to grab a few pictures but I think they managed to make off with a thing or two before I could snap one.
I love Michael Crichton, and haven’t read Timeline, so I’ll probably read it while on Christmas vacation. Really looking forward to it
Seriously, what is this thing? It uses USB power to spin pretty fast. I don’t see anything else in the box that appears to go with it
@capguncowboy
I love that gifts in a jar book. I’ve used recipes from it to make stuff, it’s pretty cool. Didn’t know they had a kid one, I’ll have to check it out from the library. Awesome box and no idea what the white thing is. Maybe something to help make a room smell nice? Could you put aromatherapy shit in in?
@Star2236 I found out what it is. It’s a travel washing machine agitator. It’s made to turn a bucket into a washing machine. Google Lens to the rescue
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08TBSMN5W/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_SR7YGRWQSTWN3VMMQ58Q?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
@capguncowboy
That’s actually pretty nifty if it actually works.
@capguncowboy you got it! It is a portable washing machine. I needed to add a bit of mystery. Lol. I hope you enjoy all the goodies. I had a ton of fun putting it together!
A couple days late to post, but here is my haul, courtesy of @jimmyd103
First we have some assorted necklace pieces. Not sure if these are going to my kid for fun, or my in law because for some reason she is under the impression that I am hording a ton of jewelry.
Up next we have some tech items. A bunch of trackers, 3 different types of ear buds, an apple dock speaker, a wireless purse speaker, and another bulkier tracker that lets you know if you forgot something important at home.
Also included was a variety of items such as a “Couples Retreat” BluRay video, a microwave egg container, a box cutter which I was gonna buy soon when I remembered to, two Christmas tree hanging ornaments (I especially like the 2021 one), some local coffee beans (wishlish item woohoo), some “Two Ugly Guys - Sweet Heat” salsa, which I can’t wait to mix with some scrambled eggs. Perhaps I will make a burrito. Also, a purple bag. I am always looking for a purple meh bag. I had one at one point but may have given it away. I look for it once in a while and can never find it. Now I am going to put this one somewhere it will never get lost, in a random box!
And finally, another decoration that I believe says “Wish”, but after the glitter bomb action from adq long ago at woot, I have a fear of glittery things and refuse to open it. I can already see the glittery pile inside the bottom of the bag. That one is staying in the box.
Thanks a bunch @jimmyd103, quite the variety of items in there, well done!
@lichme AHHH you got glitter bombed!!
@lichme Hope you have a great Christmas. I had a bunch of fun compiling that box of crap. The salsa is very good. They make a hotter version called Muggin Hot, my favorite, it’s even better. Not knowing your appetite for spicy I opted for the milder.
@jimmyd103 I agree, it is pretty tasty! I’ve used it a couple times already. I like a lot of hot stuff, but salsa typically isn’t one of them unless it’s part of a chili or something. Thanks again!
Got my box last week but just now posting.
Starting with Titanfall 2 for Xbox One - perfect for my son who is addicted to the fame but now they can play with with their friends on both PC and Xbox.
I got Black-ish season 1, Agents of Shield season 2, and True Blood season 2. - These shall be used for my “falling asleep” shows if the internet goes out this winter.
I got 2 sports shirts, 1 NY Giants which was a womens sweaters and very soft that my son has claimed and then another one (Jets?) that will be used for sports day stuff (teacher) since I don’t actually have a single team shirt for anything.
I got a really cool vintage pricing sheet for transistors, resistors, capacitors, etc. that my husband is keeping because he’s into hobby electronics.
Lastly, a wooden inspiration block that will likely be flung into the back of my closet never to be seen again.
Thank you @joebuddah for this more than mediocre gift!
Got this box o’ stuff last week but just finally getting to post it. Thank you so much to @capguncowboy for the great (and not-so-mediocre) items!
Useless Box - This thing is awesome and is front and center on my desk. I can’t stop flipping the switch!
Wacky Waving inflatable tube guy - my son is either going to love this or be terrified of it - will send an update!
Jigsaw puzzles for kids x 6 - my son is getting into harder puzzles, so perfect timing on these!
80 pc MEGA block set - he LOVES blocks and can never get enough - thanks!
Wooden Mini Medieval Desktop Warfare Model Kits x 3 - Catapult, Trebuchet, and Ballista. These look so cool and like a ton of fun and I can’t wait to build them!
POPSOCKETS! ROAD ROCKETS! SONNY CROCKETT! AWESOME!
@eric1024 Very cool! My daughter had two trebuchets before she was 8. Full disclosure, my last name is Buchet. Had she been a boy, she would have been named Tre.
@capnjb @eric1024 OK, I’m a bit sad you didn’t name her Tre anyway. Or Treanna. Tresa. Trealia. Something that would have naturally led into Tre Buchet, because that’s magnificent.
Have another kid and name it right this time.
@capnjb Hahaha that’s great. I agree - need to have a boy and name him Tre!
Rec’d mine this morning, but no card or note or even return address to know who to credit. I rec’d:
Sioux Falls Photographic journal
Hair removal shaved
Flat iron accessory set
Razors
USB car charger
USB Hubman
Spider creepy cup
Makeup brush
Moon necklace
Claws that I think I can wear, a little big but I like 'em
Thank you mysterious Elf!
@cbilyak those CLAWZ!!!
@cbilyak if tag them but we don’t have their meh username.
@cbilyak @sillyheathen I hope you like the mix from bags across time!
@banjo4fun THANK YOU! I will post a whole thing after work, but I definitely wanted to say thank you!
Oooook, so off work, and ready to spill all the goodies!
@Banjo4fun is either a great guesser, or a sophisticated researcher…
What a great full box,Aggie could smell something yummy in there, so I had to open it ASAP.
All unpacked, just look at all of those goodies!
Let’s point out a few awesome things…
…yep, made my office smell yummy this afternoon.
I make mead, and after we get moved, I will have my own hives.
silicone measuring spoons perfect for resin crafting, reusable lunch sack and utensils…perfect for packing my lunch….and that string bag is insulated, so in with the grocery bags it goes!
my mom’s kitchen is apples, so next time I go, she gets those. Resin crafts aren’t the only thing I do, so that paper will go into my scrapbooking stash, and that Glassladderco thing is a nice electronics cables roll up thing. Ilove it! Plan on using it for some of my tools.
Honorable mention:
KN95 masks…as a 9 year post stem cell transplant patient, I appreciate and use them.
Hair towel wrap…let’s see if will hold all of my hair…uncut other than trims since said transplant.
Advent calendar…hubby will probably empty that tonight
Unseen sunscreen…my daughter just moved to Florida, I will use that
Dark Blue IRK bag…I literally just put all but one of my IRK bags into the box I gifted
Napkins and towel…potentially staying in a camper between houses…
Phone case doesn’t fit my phone…
MacBook Air case…I only wish I had one…
And the barefoot scientist foot file thing.
Thank you for all the fun stuff! Well done!
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
@wifeduck Wow! Love the bee matchup…if you ever get me, I love honey, and mead, and bees generally!
@wifeduck
What an amazing haul, I love the bee stuff. That’s awesome you make your pun mead, it’s become a new obsession of mine. Not making but drinking lol.
LEGOS! EGGOS! STRATEGO! AWESOME!
How amazing is it, and unbelievable that my secret elf is my BFF (@wifeduck) who lives 2 houses down from me. She called me up and told me to come over to her house because she had something for me. So I rolled off the bed, in my PJs, and slipped on my fuzzy slippers. There is no need to get out of your loungewear when you’re headed to your besties house.
After being greeted by security ( Aggie the German Shepard ) I saw the box of goodies. As only a good friend will do, thing were wrapped in boxes that had nothing to do with the contents. For example the Godiva chocolate box that contained wine glasses. Here is a list of the fabulous items.
Thank you Wifeduck! Your are the bestest bestie anyone could ask for. Now I am off to go feed Fred.
@jelybene I got a great deal on postage. LOL
Also, it was 4 casemate glasses.
@sillyheathen !!! OMG! This is incredible. I just kept pulling more and more out of the box. I can’t believe you custom-made things for me, and you fit so much in there! I feel like I got every iconic thing that’s in an irk. This certainly made my week. Thank you so much!

An unbroken mug

WOW! Thank you @sillyheathen!
@marylynne7 I’m so glad you liked it all. The naughty nice ornament actually has gears and you can move it back and forth. I’m working on a Kramer’s version of that as well. Also I really meant to engrave your name in the pencils because I made a jig to do that (it’s amazing for kids’ valentines gifts for their classmates) but I was running out of time. The chip peanuts are actually kind of amazing. A Canadian friend sent me some a while back. When you said you liked to try new stuff, I had to order you some. also not sure if you saw the sides of the pencil box. The meh was supposed to be right side up. When I realized it was upside down I started to reprint it and thought how much more meh can you get than having it be upside down.
@marylynne7 @sillyheathen the homemade ornaments are so great!!
@sillyheathen I keep going back and smelling the ornaments and the pencil box, because they smell exactly like a wood campfire on a camping trip. Mmmm! I went through it all for the third time, sorting out what goes where, and I’m still just delighted. Again thank you so much.
Well originally eye felt left out. After all PK Ducky only sent me my wish list item.
Update
Received this and was gonna wait to open Christmas day. We’ll eye did not make it to that expired self life set fourth.
Many typical meh items as well as classics. Thanks Patrick. Eye will be sure to thank you in only the way eye no humanly possible soon enough.
I am hoping my match got theirs. Tracking showed it arrived a couple of days ago.
@tyler524 Same
@rhcurry02 @tyler524
I got a message on Tuesday via Elfster that my recipient received their box, but no reveal yet.
What does willow represent to you?
@whomeyesu
The name of @sillyheathen’s dog?
What is that box? I like the stickers inside it.
@Kyeh Hand made. Eye do not know the origins of said box. I am sure we will know more eventually. It was formerly a Walmart box prior to the transformation.
Fragile ^ this way up
Mine…was supposed to have shipped a while ago?
My house is notoriously hard to reach. Like, unbelievably hard for being in the center of a 150 yr old city.
Vote for infrastructure, people!
(And my recipient will get theirs tomorrow! Or Friday! Crap, why the date change??? I’ve had to laugh, because a few things I boxed up? Went to their giftee!)
@brainmist Do you have snow? Will this become another saga of the impending box?
@brainmist I have a package showing in Informed Delivery coming today! Could it be from you? I cant wait for USPS to show up!
@Kyeh There is no snow BUT because my city hasn’t done much with infrastructure in the past several decades, there’s a bridge collapsing and a bunch of barricades. Good times!
@iutami Mine is going to someone else (and, from the look of theirs, will be mostly a very Meh restock! ) But be sure to show us what you get!
@brainmist at least you won’t think it was regifted my box might get delivered today!
@brainmist When my best lived across the street from me, his house always had problems with delivery. Even though it had been there since the 1890s. The issue was it was a shorter block due to being next to a park with an “Short street” name . As it only lasted the legnth of the park. So it was “Short 56th Street”.
I’m so sad I haven’t gotten mine yet. It says delivery is expected December 27th, so fingers crossed I have it before the new year!!
I am aflutter with anticipation to open the “Not An Irk” box from my mysterious benefactor, but am having to wait until after the holidays to dig into it until my fellow Meh enthusiast is available, so we can enjoy the delights together! I can at least get a chuckle out of looking at the fun box for now, will post the guts as soon as I can! Thank you to my secret elf and see you all in a few days!
Thank you @evilstan60 for my IRK
@iutami I can see you wearing the BLUE neck and shoulder heat pad whilst sipping the BLUE packaged Sweet Dreams tea reading your new (to you) novel. Actually some useful stuff there. Hoping for all things good for you for the New Year too! Also hoping you won’t need to use the ice scraper too often.
@steeltoesenator the ice scraper is the first thing I thought “oh I do need this!”
@iutami my husband claimed the car charger and loves it!
Before Thanos snapped his fingers and did the redraw, apparently @mikibell had my name and in between the first draw of names and the second, she had put this box together. Damn! She’s fast!! So this was a surprise this morning when I was only expecting a chewy order.

@steeltoesenator @Tadlem43 Glad you like the coins! I have a few myself and thought that would be cool. And yes, I have too many of those bags… apparently…my wife keeps muttering stuff like, “Is that from those random boxes again?”
@musmagic lol I have a stack of them.
Yes, I loved everything in the box! You did good! But…esp. the coins. Thank you so very much!
Awesome, random, completely full box. Thank you!

@brainmist awesome box… Will post pics tomorrow when I have more room, in the midst of wrapping gifts and crafting everywhere!!
VAN GOGH! MANGO! TANGO! AWESOME!
@mikibell Hah, I think I gave you some of the things you just got rid of! Please pardon the battered box… That was definitely a relic of a previous exchange. So, er… Vintage?
@brainmist
@brainmist sorry for the delay. yummy looking coffee, hazelnut is my goto flavor, so I am sure I will love this. The deskset is my wheelhouse, my friends (not sure why they are still friends) call me an office supply whore! Oh, I missed taking out the bath bomb shaped like a calavera! The mask is absolutely beautiful! My daughter had to be fought off so I could get a picture of everything. She claims the metal tatoos, which she has stolen every pack I ever purchased, the stickers and the carving knife! Her boyfriend is getting the seaweed in his stocking. I love the tracker/meh ornaments. We are baffled by the green hands. Hair sticks? Chop sticks? Drink stirrers? I said I could attach them to the sewing machine and make it look like they were doing the sewing I missed a few things, but thank you for making my box more than meh!
@brainmist oh… And I forgot to mention your note… I am probably not going to take you up on the offer, not because I think it is weird or whacky, but because I do believe that there are unexplained strengths in certain people and I don’t mess with it
@mikibell no worries! I’m glad there were some things you could use. And some bafflement A very Mehry exchange!
My box from @mikeleemm arrived this morning. They apologized for sending it late, but personally, I think this was the perfect time to receive it! After a day of work, it was awaiting my arrival and a great way to kick off my winter break!
When trying to decide how to describe the items I received, a light bulb went off on my head, I would string them all into some sort of non-sensical… thing. I think these athletic shorts and socks will be great to wear while I’m riding my bike in the basement. Alas, it gets cold down there, thankfully I’ve got a knit beanie and shawl to keep me warm. But what will I do for entertainment?But of course, I’ll rip a DVD of Papillon to my Plex server so I can watch it on the Google Daydream View VR Headset while listening through some earbuds. OH NO, my phone’s getting low on power, thankfully the micro USB charging cable will help me connect to two power banks! Soon it won’t be winter anymore, and I’ll be able to bike outside. It gets a bit buggy in the humid Maryland climate, but I’ll wear some mosquitto repellent bands to keep bug free!
Whew, I think that’s everything! Great box, thank you so much!!!
@smigit2002 this is a pretty amazing collection of the things!
Sorry @mossygreen for the delayed post. Your totally awesome gift arrived a couple of days ago but I am just now getting around to sharing. Generally speaking, it is quite the collection of delightfully random stuff.
First thing at the top of the box was a Relaxamat. I’m not certain if this is for a pet, an adult, or a child. It’s about the size of a doormat.
So, after getting the Chill out of the way, the party ramps up with a glitter-filled holiday light theme banner. Yep, I’ve been glitter bombed and I am not going to open that package. Next to the party is a 2020 holiday ornament, hors- d’oeuvre maker set, 3-d style holiday glasses, birthday cake candles, a flask with “DRUNK” emblazoned on it, a “next year I will do better” mug, a Jim Nabors cassette tape, and a Scream and Scream again VHS tape.
Some personal care items came next, two Panda toothbrushes, a sonic toothbrush, a brain comfort massager, two pair of women’s socks, a leisure log journal with pencil, some essential oils, and men’s deodorant.
Bringing up the rear was some additional randomness; two mini lightbulb keychains, some cabinet hinges, a collection of multi-colored plastic clippy things, food canning wax, a coaster set, plastic knob for a dimmer light switch, a leatherette electronic device case, a phone holder, and a plastic water bottle. Last but not least, a bar of “You Can Do It. Oh, You Can’t” soap.
Whew, hard to believe that all fit into the box. All in all, a very fun and random collection of meh stuff. The “I will Do Better” mug is my personal favorite.
Again, thanks @mossygreen for the awesome eclectic gift.
Wishing you much joy and happiness for Christmas and the new year.
DIPLOMAT! RAT-A-TAT! FAT CAT! AWESOME!
@jimmyd103 i will post pics later today.
@jimmyd103
Awesome box
DIPLOMAT! RAT-A-TAT! FAT CAT! AWESOME!
@jimmyd103
@jimmyd103
The lightbulb keychains are so cool!
@jimmyd103 I just assumed that you a) hated it, or b) were out of town. Or c) I somehow sent it to a random person instead of to you. Glad you got/enjoyed it! I also love the mug, and am happy it went to someone who appreciates it!
@mossygreen Thanks so much!
@jimmyd103 @mossygreen
Where did you get the lightbulb keychains from?
@jimmyd103 @Star2236 Sorry for the late reply, and it won’t be helpful: about a million years ago from meritline when it was a thing to order cheap weird stuff from meritline and wait 2 months for it. I still have one with dead batteries, it’s color-changing, I think? Happy to send it to you if you’d like it. It takes 3 watch batteries.
@jimmyd103 @mossygreen
No I’m good, I found something like it in kikkerland. But thanks for the reply.
@jimmyd103 @Star2236 Love Kikkerland stuff!
@jimmyd103 @mossygreen
I just kind of stumbled across the website, you know of any other cool ones?
@savvysapphire mine was received bet we’re out of town until the new year! Items driving me crazy!
@dasred ah, glad it at least made it there. It’s a very meh box. It should bring much meh-ness.
Thank you @RaptorGoRawr for the great box of Meh!
My box included:
Thanks again!!
I totally underachieved in true Meh fashion and so I want to say I am sorry to my secret recipient:( I will do better in the future! Instead I got something on his list and stayed in the price range given - silly me…
@LdyShy777 Don’t feel bad about what you gave. It’s about having fun. From what I have seen some are from IRK, Fubuko, and bags of crap. You got something off their list. That’s good enough!
@LdyShy777 Honestly, so much of the fun is in putting together a box. That’s why I do it…to be able to send someone my own random box of weird crap! Don’t be sad!
@LdyShy777 This year I think people are confusing being a Secret Santa, since that is the site being used, with the meh exchange bag of marginally better than crap exchange. As a result this time we have many over achievers. And some folks have less or more discretionary income than others (that is why is always, apparently this time fruitlessly, a value limit and recommended box size is given which is also being ignored over and over this exchange too) so if you did what you could within the advertised constraints don’t feel bad.
@LdyShy777 This is perfect, please don’t apologize for it!
“I totally underachieved in true Meh fashion”
I too was feeling bad not seeing a reveal from my recipient (but I did get a thank you via Elfster) until I saw someone else’s reveal where about half the stuff I sent was used for that person’s box. So… at least the stuff was being used.
Hope you have a very Mehrry Christmas @LdyShy777 and all things good come to your “underachieving” self in 2022!!!
@LdyShy777 @steeltoesenator wait ….your recipient regifted to someone else???
@LdyShy777 @stevenmontes Yup! Recycling at it’s best, lol. Beats being ghosted though. I feel bad for those that get ghosted. Next year maybe I’ll hold off mailing so early.
@LdyShy777 @steeltoesenator @stevenmontes Happy Christmas! Sorry that happened! I don’t even remember everything I sent - but should I try to remember and post my own reveal of the box my person got 9 days ago
I too would prefer to see stuff regifted than be unacknowledged. I even threw a refurbished Amazon echo in there. Le sigh.
@steeltoesenator @mehhhhname ghosting on the reveal is poor form. And while regifting in the next exchange is expected and great, regifting in the same exchange is also uncool in my book (doubly so when ghosting is involved). Although I could see reasons that could be excepted (getting something that is too perfect for the recipient, maybe) it would be different if handled socially and after a proper reveal.
I’m sorry this happened to you. Make sure @ironcheftoni and @sillyheathen are aware so this person makes the list.
@djslack @ironcheftoni @mehhhhname @sillyheathen Actually I’m sort of OK with it. I try not to be too judgemental. Much better than the rusty hammer and roofing nails one. That was incredibly sad. Maybe my recipient just flat out ran out of time to put together a decent box or something. Glad I could help with the building of theirs. On a lighter note, I really have had tons o’ fun seeing the reveals, revealing mine (thanks again @iutami, it was a great box!) and getting to know lots of you in this community a little better. Can’t wait for the next exchange!
@djslack @mehhhhname @sillyheathen @steeltoesenator yes, waiting to send your box so you can regift to your recipient is bad form. At least wait until the next exchange. Who knows, you may start a tradition of passing on the same meh thing to the next mehitizen.
I hate to announce prematurely but (knocking on every tree like thing nearby), this exchange may have been pulled off ghost free. @sillyheathen and I worked hard to remove possible ghosts before they had the opportunity to be a ghost. There are a few that haven’t sent yet but have promised to do so soon.
@steeltoesenator if you’re happy, that’s what matters. You’re certainly very gracious, which probably makes it easier to be happier, I admire that. Mehrry Christmas to you and yours!
@Kidsandliz @LdyShy777 I might be one of the ones referred to here, but really, except for the Meh mug that I did spend a little money to put together for Senator everything else was in my give or donate pile. I just chose to get to know her a little before choosing what to send from that pile and think thats a nice way to do it. Just because you arent spending money, doesnt mean it has to be “junk” in the eyes of the person you are sending to.
@iutami @LdyShy777 Stalking your person is in perfect form and then sending stuff you have that they’d like is great!
I once sent to someone who said, somewhere in the forum, that meh should sell meh branded ping pong balls. Well… tracing the meh at the top left of the website and one sharpie later he had a pack of 6 of them. He thought I had found them and bought them somewhere. Someone else, who ghosted me on the reveal had been whining over and over she had no meh branded stuff - so I sent her a bunch. She also loved knives and I had a pack of 4 unopened that had cool handles (had gotten them at IKEA for some reason and then never used them) so I included that. For those two people my only expense was postage. For someone else they were a big sports fan, I ran across a sports christmas tree ornament of their team on clearance, bought it and bingo. Personalized.
There are many ways to do this and the ones that include waiting to pack the box until you know who you got so you can personalize it often end up having at least some items that are meaningful to the receiver. Of course then there are the joke items. The Awkward Family Photos book has made its rounds. I sent mine out. I got one back about a year later. Some day when I participate again it’s going back out. The gift that will never die and haunt everyone. LOL.
@Kidsandliz
That sucks! It’s a tough call, too, I try not to get burned by the past but if I matched with them again I might have had an issue haha!
My recipient last year never posted a reveal, and I was a little peeved by it because I thought it was a neat box of utility and quirkiness (yes, some Quirky items from past Fukus!). I took offense since they posted a response to other folks reveals. Oh well.
I told myself this year I’d take a picture and itemize my box in the event the recipient didn’t reveal, but I totally forgot and got caught up in the fun of it.
@Kidsandliz @stevenmontes In past exchanges elsewhere, I took photos while packing just in case a reveal didn’t appear. Especially if I felt really proud of myself.
@djslack @ironcheftoni @mehhhhname @sillyheathen @steeltoesenator
I sent late this year and felt horribly bad about it but I was in touch with my recipient multiple times about it so they knew they weren’t getting ghosted. I even told them who it was coming from (they knew the name) and were okay with it.
@Star2236 that’s how it’s done. Communication can cut down on bad feelings a lot.
Yay! My person got their box and opened it. Perhaps some people waited until Christmas to open their IRKs.
@LdyShy777 I apologize if I am one of the people who made you feel like you should have done more. You should not feel like you failed for any reason. This is supposed to be fun and make the giver happier than the receiver, imho. I have been playing on Meh for years and woot before that, as many of us have. We are known for being over the top my goal is to make people smile, not frown. As I said in the other thread to someone else, do what makes YOU happy …
As for this:
“As a result this time we have many over achievers. And some folks have less or more discretionary income than others (that is why is always, apparently this time fruitlessly, a value limit and recommended box size is given which is also being ignored over and over this exchange”
Whether those statements were directed at me or not, I am who I am and I do NOT apologize for it. I am not going to change.
@mikibell That comment wasn’t directed at anyone in particular and wasn’t even aimed at people who sent big boxes full of neat stuff. What I was trying to do was make someone feel better about following the posted guidelines and then feeling like the box they sent wasn’t as “good” as some of the others sent out. My personal opinion is that the wish list, aligning with christmas, and the secret santa orientation of the elfster website encouraged far more people than usual (and there always have been a few who send out “jackpot” boxes each and every time this has taken place) sending out amazing boxes well beyond expectation. And I do see how that can make the sender of a “guideline” box feel like they didn’t measure up. But how would have they have known in advance? There was no way.
And the guidelines were set by the originator of this some years ago (I think there have been 5 of us now who have run these, counting the originator) so that those who don’t have much money feel like they can participate equally with those who have more discretionary funds in their budget (often the cost of postage is one of the bigger issues). So feel free to send out big boxes. There will be, no doubt, people who have their fingers crossed they will be lucky enough to be assigned to you in the future and will be thrilled if they are your recipient. My response was just trying to help someone not feel bad they didn’t go beyond the guidelines for whatever private reason they didn’t or couldn’t.
@mikibell No one made me feel inferior I promise, It’s all rom inside me once I saw how many people got so much loot! Not to mention my own box that was over and above. I will start building my box NOW for next year
Its all good I promise, I did not mean to make others feel bad for being awesome either. Thank you so much for commenting
DIPLOMAT! RAT-A-TAT! FAT CAT! AWESOME!
A HUGE box from @tadlem43 across town arrived today. My philosophy: it’s a success if delivered before New Years Day.
They were my Meh-xchange recipient last year! We’re going to need a better randomization algorithm next year
So in addition to a nice note (a joyous holiday season to you & yours @Tadlem43), a great load of fun, random, & practical items:
and a couple of IRK bags
Thanks for all the unboxing fun!
Note: If anybody is just dying for one of these items, Whisper me to make a deal.
@compunaut , @tadlem43 wasn’t your mehelf last year. I was your hero elf after your first got ghosted
Great box from Tadlem43!
@compunaut @ironcheftoni @Tadlem43 I think what was meant was that compunaut sent to tadlem43 last year. At least that is how I read it.
@ironcheftoni Yes, I remember; still using some of the things you sent.
I sent my box to @Tadlem43 last year.
@compunaut You’re welcome. Hope there’s something in there you can use or would like to keep.
Merry Christmas!
@compunaut The big fuzzy socks and the packs of Little Monster socks are awesome! Ive gotten them both in IRKs before and really love them!
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
@mediocrebot everything is cool when you’re part of a team!
@Tadlem43 @sillyheaten @ironcheftoni
UPDATE: Received additional Amazon gifts from my Meh’lf this week!
Thanks so much to @Tadlem43 for going above and beyond
and thanks to the organizers for the 2021 Meh’xchange!
I received my box last week and opened it with my daughter yesterday! I only have a real name so secret elf speak up!
@triplebud “Someone” sent a card too and here’s a list of stuff:
![Card][1]
[1]:
Thanks for the great box!! (even if you are a Penguins fan )
@triplebud Pittsburgh is my favorite small city. Pens rock! Actually all Pittsburgh’s sports teams rock, even when they don’t win (Hear that Pirates, still love my Bucs!). Also Clark bars, Heinz pickles, and those great free concerts at the Point. Sad I don’t live south of there anymore.
@steeltoesenator are you the sender??
@triplebud No, I am not. Just feeling a little homesick for a great small city. @sillyheathen or @ironcheftoni could let you know who the sender is though.
@ironcheftoni @steeltoesenator @triplebud your mehlf was @mrchristian!
@triplebud Go Rangers!! I used to have season tickets with my friend but then I moved away.
@triplebud I knew I was gambling with the penguins neck pillow
As for the QR code…. I don’t think it does anything, any more. It was part of a project thing a while back, if I’d remembered it I would have pulled it out. Mehrry Xmehss!
@Pony Sorry for the long delay in posting. I thought that the box was awesome and the family raided it pretty hard. I pulled back what I could get my hands on for a pic. We opened it as a family and there were many “Ohh I want that” proclaimed. I am flabbergasted by the meh Toothbrush. That one blew my socks off. I know the candle is missing as my wife wandered off with that one and placed it somewhere. How you knew Warm Vanilla Sugar was one of her favorites is beyond me. My son just loved the Grogu! The kite will be added to my collection for our Beach Trips.
Everything will find a place of honor in my house. Thank you once again.
POPSOCKETS! SPA KITS! POLLY POCKETS! AWESOME!
@conan785 omg soldering iron!!! Score!
@conan785 Yay! So glad the box was a hit!
@conan785 @Pony of course you sent this box! It’s fab!
This is a big THANK YOU for my box of stuff! I am not as good with words as many of you are but I loved exploring all of the items that arrived in my box for Christmas!! And yes the water gun really does shoot really far! So Thank you @Tyler!!!
@LdyShy777 I think you @'ed the wrong Tyler, I wish I could take credit for being awesome
POPSOCKETS! ROAD ROCKETS! SONNY CROCKETT! AWESOME!
@LdyShy777 that should be @tyler524
@tyler524 I didn’t know your @ name lol. Hi and Thank you so much!!! Merry Christmas!
@melanie413
A smart doorbell! That’s awesome!
POPSOCKETS! SPROCKETS! DAVY CROCKETT! AWESOME!
So I obviously can’t write and upload the picture from my phone. But here is my better late than never post. My super meh-elf sent me so many goodies. Chargers, trackers, and earbuds galore! I also received a super cool Bento box from my wishlist (which is currently packed in a box as we are trying to move). Thank you so much! It was truly so much fun unboxing all the goodies!
@melanie413 @jalopatin thanks for being an awesome Meh-elf!!!
LEGOS! EGGOS! STRATEGO! AWESOME!
Got my super cooo Meh gift from …. Well, no Meh name was given but I have their real name?
Anyway! What a box!!
Loving every bit of it, especially the shakers that will go nicely with my koopa shell mugs and SMB rolling pin!
Thanks!!!
@stevenmontes the die hard pieces are epic! But the whole thing is super cool!
@stevenmontes you have @christagious to thank
Thank you @christagious !!!
@christagious @stevenmontes Hey, he totally regifted that dumb and dumber canvas. I made that myself!
@christagious @lichme hmmm could this be a new tradition??? But I do love it so….
@lichme @stevenmontes sorry! My girlfriend wouldn’t let me hang it up in the bathroom so I figured it would get some use in somebody else’s hands
Update
The exchange that arrived prior to Christmas from @PKDucky has had the edibles (coffee grounds) removed. Do not ask me how the coffee was as it was given to the wife and she is yet to attempt that task. Anyway, in exchange for the coffee there was items added and it is now going back to sender.
Thanks for giving me your return address and the opportunity to receive more unwanted items. Happy New Year Patrick!!
Greetings from South Philly! It’s been a bit more tricky than sunny recently here, but good friends and neighbors will always brighten the day! @compunaut has been very patient while I waited for my fellow Meh-thusiast to come out of quarantine to enjoy my box so here we are loving every bit of it!! Wow what a terrific haul! A beautiful card with gorgeous handwriting, an apron for all of our sloppy endeavors, glo-sticks a go-go! Got a bit misty when we realized the little pad was wee post-its which we will use every single second of every day! And chocolates! So many other delights! Thank you SO SO much!
I always pack a pen so the wee collapsible one is PERFECT! Thank you @compunaut!
Ok. @metaphore is amazing.
Breakdown:
DnD Stranger Things edition! I’ve never played DnD but I’ve been intrigued. I absolutely love Stranger Things and the Demogorgon figurines are so cool!! One is not painted so I can practice mini painting! I play Dead By Daylight and the Demogorgon is one of my favorite characters in the game along with Steve!
COOKIES! Chocolate chunks with sea salt and other goodies! Holy cow these were so delicious! Also! Yummy fruit cake cookies!!
Butter London nail polish!! I love polish!
Sidekick Bluetooth earbuds! Can never have enough!
Chocolate bunny molds/cutters! Perfect for Easter!
Clay friendship pig! Came with a note talking about where the clay comes from. Has 3 legs intentionally!
And the most thoughtful thing of all, a USB memory stick with curated music! You can read the blue post it if you zoom in enough. I’ve been enjoying going through all of these. I totally forgot about Deadlock and I’m so glad it was in the music so now I can go back and download more of their stuff! There’s a specific folder that metaphore listed that has touched me recently. I’m sure they know which one it might be.
Thank you SO SO much!
@RiotDemon I’m glad you liked everything, and the cookies made it intact! NGL, was pretty excited when I got you in the redraw and immediately knew I had some perfect stuff for you. The flash drive was the only thing I didn’t already have in the house but now I’m extra glad I included it. In the past when music has come up, I’ve noticed we’ve had pretty similar tastes. I don’t know how I would have made it through the last 2 garbage years without music and when something so simple can mean so much I wanted to share.
@metaphore music is super important to me! It always baffles me when I run across people that don’t care much about music.
It’s been fun to see the variety in the songs!
Thank you again!
Well, a big shout out and thank you to @eric1024 (I’m hoping that is the username) for an AWESOME Meh Christmas Exchange Package! First, and most importantly, was a great typed letter that showed thought, wit, and grace. I will include a pic of the letter if the writer is ok with that. Otherwise, just know it was awesome (take it away, mediocrebot!).
I have divided up the pics of the package in to three parts:
The Good
This is an insane amount of good. A camping pillow case and lantern. A charging wallet. A motion control rocket (what?!). Screen protectors for a phone I have in the house. Hand warmers (I’m in MN, it is currently 1 degree and forecasted to get to 20 below - and that is real temp not that bs wind chill - in the next couple of days). Kitchen stuff. Not one, not two, but three pairs of headphones. None have been used! One is a brand name (Google Pixel Buds)! Am I dreaming?! If I am, I have awakened as a cowgirl in the kitchen! A life (book) with not only recipes but tales and tips is just waiting inside that glorious front cover. Besides the generosity of the super nice headphones (and truth be told, I am excited for all 3 pairs), the good here is so good and, more importantly for an IRK-ish, so wide ranging.
But wait, there is more. There is the Meh!
A 2016 Calendar…with a bonus page of 6 months future reference. That means this calendar is only 4.5 years out of date. Also, some…uh…replacement rubber cane tips. Yep, those actually might come in handy under some smaller furniture legs. And the Mehiest of all - the TrackR pixels. I had just recently (within the last 2 months or so) thrown out what I thought was the last of my trackrs that I found in the bottom of a drawer. I think that is all that I have (I bought a lot) but I am also convinced they are reproducing. Meh should sell a TrackR TrapR.
Last and certainly not least, the ugly!
Actually, I’m still excited by both the Monster clogs and the phone case even though they are admittedly hideous. My 4 year old said she would wear the clogs when she gets bigger and though I did not have her sign something or record her statement, that is worth keeping them around and I think the phone case will work for an old phone said 4 year old uses for the Youtubes (I know, Dad of the Year. Better luck next year, other dads).
Again, I could not have asked for a more fun or more generous Meh Exchanger. Thank you and Happy New Year to all on Meh but especially @eric1024!
HIKING! VIKINGS! STRIKE KING [BRAND FISHING LURES]! AWESOME!
@eddiegordo Awesome, glad you received it and enjoyed it! Absolutely you can post the letter - no problem! I wish I had been able to deduce that you had a 4 year old daughter - I would have sent something that she’d like a little more than the CLAWZ! I’m so happy you’ll actually be able to make use out of a lot of the items in there, and my wife is even happier to have a tiny portion of the “junk” out of the house
The Pixel Buds are really great - hope they work out for you. I honestly don’t know how the other ones are, but maybe they can be useful as a backup pair or something.
I agree, the TrackR pixels really do keep showing up. I didn’t even know I still had any but I found one for your box. Pass it along to someone else! Haha.
Mehrry Christmas and Happy Meh Year!
POPSOCKETS! COURT DOCKETS! FOLK ROCK HITS! AWESOME!
@eddiegordo
Evidently the Clawz are now sort of collector’s items since they’re discontinued:
(Of course, I don’t know if the sellers are getting those prices.)
@Kyeh holy moley, I still have a pair in the garage. I may need to dig them out
@Kyeh Whoa! Wait till I tell the hubby! We have a green pair still and the nieces and nephews have 2 orange sets.
@miscreant
Are you going to try to sell them?
@Kyeh I don’t see where they are selling for that,otherwise I would.
@miscreant I just googled “Clawz” and found a bunch of listings. But as I said, who knows if anyone is actually paying that much for them!
@Kyeh @miscreant on ebay they are selling from $8-14 with most current listings $3.91 (or best offer) to $19.90. Poshmark they are selling for prices all over the place. If you are going to sell, sell there.
https://poshmark.com/brand/CLAWZ?availability=sold_out
@Kidsandliz @miscreant
Wow - crazy that someone actually paid $90 for a pair!
@Kyeh @miscreant I know. Obviously not on meh or they couldn’t have gotten a pair for postage from those who got a ton of them in irks.
@Kidsandliz crazy. I haven’t listed on Poshmark before, hmm… will have hubby look into it to see if he thinks it is worth it. Thanks for the info!
@Kyeh @miscreant meant to say could have gotten a pair for postage…
And miscreant yes it is nuts that the prices sold for are so far apart between the two platforms.
@Kidsandliz @miscreant Let us know if you’re able to get a lot of money for them!
I’m just kind of skeptical about those crazy prices. But evidently someone paid $90.
I probably get to post the final reveal of the year. @Star2236 sent me another delightful box full of goodies:
Lots of delicious food items, lots of deserts, some Atari cartridges, and an oddly-proportioned IRK bag. I now have two IRK bags, but have never managed to snag an actual IRK.
I’ll take one of Star2236’s goodie boxes over an IRK any day, though. No regret included. She always goes above and beyond, and is way too apologetic about not doing enough.
@Weboh @Star2236
Wow! You’ll be eating well for the start of the new year, for sure!
@Kyeh @Weboh
Thank you, glad you liked it. Sorry again it was late. Did you get everything out of all the irk bag pockets?
@Star2236 @Weboh
Just noticed that there
are some stroopwafels! In a tin, though - fancy!
@Kyeh @Star2236 Yep, I already had the linguine and truffle alfredo and it was the best pasta I’ve had in a long time! I’ve never had actual truffles, but I love everything I’ve had that has truffles in it. Manifique!
@Kyeh @Star2236 Right before receiving this package, I found out stroopwafels are my friend’s favorite food item ever… so he got a bonus Christmas gift, too!
@Kyeh @Star2236 I didn’t even realize the bag had pockets! I’m now the proud owner of a Schrodinger’s Toothbrush Club coin! I have no idea what I’ll do with it besides horde it… What has everyone else done with theirs?
@Weboh yummmmy cherry walnut bread?
@Star2236 @Weboh
Oh, score! I’m just hoarding mine, because I think it’s a wonderful cool relic of a fantastic response by Meh to a really weird situation.
@Kyeh @Weboh
Yeah my coin just sits in a drawer, with all my other special stuff.
My Elf gifted me with some beautiful Meh-ry gifts and I love them. I don’t know his username but I hope he comment…
These beautiful hair ornaments I had on my wishlist are so beautiful and I wore snowflakes ❄ in my hair on Christmas Day. I love the Disney ornaments and they will be on my tree next Christmas. My Elf gifted me with a Bluetooth speaker with PowerBank and a solar portable light. And of course my very own Orange IRK bag!
Thank you and Happy New Year
I will add pictures once I am able to…
@ShandaSunshine @eddiegordo was your mystery mehelf
@eddiegordo thank you so much for the wonderful gifts! Happy New Year!
My gift arrived while I was out of town visiting family for Christmas so this reveal is a bit delayed. My apologies to @mehbee for also taking a couple of extra days to post. But the box was WELL worth waiting for. So much amazingness!
![enter image description here][1]
Where to start?
![enter image description here][2]
![enter image description here][3]
Such an awesome box full of so many things. (I may have missed a few in the list.) This was a fun exchange that I always enjoy. Many thanks to all who participated and especially those who put it all together!

WORKER BEES! HERCULES! TURKEY GREASE! AWESOME!

I wanted to show off @cbilyak work. My boyfriend is the hardest person to buy gifts for and she helped me out by making a one of a kind present!

@Star2236 @cbilyak
So gorgeous!
@Star2236 This is awesome!
MEALS! DEALS! EELS! AWESOME!
I just wanted to update the sender of my box that I will post as soon as I can. I’ve got the ‘Rona and am down for the count for a bit
@mehbee Hope you feel better sooner rather than later!
@mehbee
/giphy get well soon
I finally got my gift! I can’t wait to read them! Unfortunately, my gifter didn’t include their username, so if this was you, please let me know!!
@Deri143
@Deri143 @metaridleyx was your mehlf!
@Deri143 @sillyheathen Glad you got them!
We usually wait until Christmas Day to open our Secret Santa-type gifts from gift exchanges—even the Unofficial Holiday Mehrican Exchange.
Then we got to busy to open most of our presents on Christmas—had too many plans and calls to make. We finally opened it the day after Christmas, but are just now getting around to posting our thank-yous.
@LsyShy777 amazing work! I’ve played with these wooden frog musical box tone creatures and enjoyed them in the past, but never did I own one until the day. And the colors are fantastic as well. This was anything BUT a “Meh” gift—I greatly appreciate and enjoy it. When it’s not in use, it will sit well in our guest room, which has a bit of a travel theme to it.
And the bag was great as well. I’ll definitely get some good use out of it!
Thank you again!
~Supersox!
A Not-So-Meh Frog and Bag
@Supersox Neat frog! I think you meant to call out @LdyShy777 - you have an “s” instead of a “d” in the name.
@Kyeh @LdyShy777 Yes, yes of course. If I didn’t have to post the darn post 3 times from my phone and write it twice, I probably would have gotten the name right.
I’ll try to fix it…if it’s too difficult…meh
Thanks again @LsyShy777WithADInsteadOfAnS
@Supersox my son has one of those frogs - I love playing with it. Nice score.
@Supersox I am so happy you like it!!! Next year will be a Meh thing since bow I know to load the box with everything I don’t use lol. I’m very happy to have supplied a non Meh gift this year
We may tag you in a post to double check our numbers. We have a few people that we’re showing who haven’t shipped or received. We’ve been trying to reach out so please check elfster or emails or send us a whisper to give us a heads up. If you see a tag, we’re just trying to make sure everyone is taken care of!
Hi hi hi! I got a lovely package christmas week and have been absolutely buried at work due the global panini making everything hectic as all heck.
Here’s a photo of the absolutely jam packed gift box contents, in its gloriousness. There was also a lovely card, and a string of LED star lights that were promptly attached to my desk at work, escaping the photo opportunity later in the night. I especially like the literal bag of dirt
I’ll have to come back and tag my gifter, as the card is at home, I am at the office, and I didn’t write down your name (oops).
Thank you!!
I received my box last weekend, but have been swamped and keep forgetting… So as soon as I clean my desk off enough to be photographed, I’ll do the pictures!
I’ve been out of town and got home to this absolute delight of a full meh box
Thank you so much @stevenmontes I’m already delighted by the meh monster drawing.
Will be back with pics!
@mehhhhname This was SUCH A DELIGHTFUL IRK. A unicorn, dare I say. Thank you so so much!
The holiday wrapping and packaging was so festive and definitely added to the experience.
The first few items felt like a typical winning IRK – useful items!
Then some fun out of the box items, which I will also actually use!
Then it started feeling like meh IRK was turning into real Christmas! Look at these haunted fairy village supplies! Def excited to add them to my garden - with the fairy house and gnomes!
And then this amazing Harry Potter ornament! I’m such a potter head and absolutely love it.
This item was so weird it took me a couple minutes to process what it was. But I think this ceramic werewolf pillbox thing might now be my favorite part of the whole awesome box! It is creepily delightful, and somehow also fancy . It’s currently living on my nightstand.
This hilarious prank candle that is very Weasley’s Prank style Harry Potter vibing.
And then he even included gifts this was so thoughtful and really a lot more than i expected. I love it all!
Everything together - THANK YOU so much @stevenmontes - this was my fave IRK to date. Even the mario bags, major upgrade from the IRK bags that actually keep breaking on me!
VAN GOGH! MANGO! TANGO! AWESOME!
@mehhhhname @stevenmontes this is fantastic! Of course I love the HP but I adore that pill box thing.
@mehhhhname so glad you enjoyed the box!! I appreciate you putting general interests in your Elfster- totally helped out
@mehhhhname @stevenmontes
Man I really do wonder where people find some of this crazy cool stuff.
@mehhhhname @stevenmontes THERE IS A MOON IN THE BOTTOM OF THE PILLBOX.
Please no one ever send me this, because I would never part with it and I have no room.
@brainmist @star2236 @stevenmontes right? Such a gem - that little painted moon thing (also ceramic) kinda sealed the deal for me on it too . Thank you again! Almost like a KoolHandLuke unicorn got added to my IRK!
@mehbee, @lynnerizer, @wordegirl, @dptalia, @creativecstacy Please check your whispers. We’d hate to have to add you to the naughty list next year! Need to know if and when your matches boxes were sent!
Thanks from me and @ironcheftoni!
@mehbee we know you’ve sent yours. We were just waiting for your reveal.
@sillyheathen
Yes I was late getting mine out, I reached out to let them know they weren’t forgotten and it was on it’s way. It was delivered over a week ago, I’ll whisper you all the details and send a screenshot of the tracking number.
@sillyheathen I was totally late but it’s been shipped!
Ahahah hey remember when I said I’d get pics uploaded as soon as my desk was clean?
The desk is worse. WOOOORRRSSSEE.
But I cleared a bit of space and I’m doing it anyway.
So first we have some hygiene type stuff, and this fun purse! Also a lipstick and eye makeup! And pants that seem like they’ll actually fit! And grippy socks!
Up next, some fun putty, and spooky stickers! I had mentioned that I liked spooky stuff, and my mehlf nailed it!
Then there were the electronics:
-A power saver outlet
-UV wand
-Screen cleaner (desperately needed)
-Wallet and powerbank combo
-A Soundbot speaker
-A charger I even managed to photograph and now can’t find. Oh wait, there it is! And it’s even Android!
Also two silicone…tumblers? I’m not quite sure, but they’re dishwasher safe so I’m assuming. Unfortunately, they also apparently have a nice chewiness, which is why there is only one in the picture…the other is still usable but less pretty.
I assume the breathalyzer is for when the chompy dog drives me to drink.
@brainmist the tumblers are wine glasses. I suppose you can use them for whatever but I don’t drink wine so I passed them along.
@RiotDemon I have removed the one from use as a chew toy… Horrible puppy is horrible.
Also a very nice shawl…but the best item?
Was this.
I’m not quite sure what it is…I thought wall hanging, but there’s a zipper? Maybe a pillow covering? Anyway, it’s gorgeous.
Thanks so much, @Riotdemon!!
@brainmist pillow covering!
I’m annoyed because there’s a second one in my house somewhere that I couldn’t find. I wanted to send the pair. I had bought a pattern with a skull but they sent me the lady instead. She’s cool, but not really into Day of the Dead stuff.
Glad you liked!
@RiotDemon I’m torn between pillow, and repurposing it as a back patch on a shirt or jacket. Decisions! Pillow now, backpatch later maybe.
@brainmist
Very cool stuff you got. I love the pillow covering and the breathalyzer kit I’ve always wanted one, I don’t know why.
@Star2236 Better safe than sorry! I think it’d be interesting if bars ran an optional breathalyze as you go service, just so people could be sure. Can’t know if you don’t measure.
I am the luckiest Mehmber alive I received a package full of delight yesterday. Thank you thank you thank you thank you. It’s a pary in a box and sunshine on a 10 degree day
@cbooboo2
Wow! Who was your generous benefactor?
@cbooboo2
@cbooboo2
@cbooboo2
@cbooboo2 OK, that is DEFINITELY a party in a box!
@cbooboo2
Very cool box. What the brown thing on the side of the box that looks like a side pretzel?
My gift arrived! Somehow this thing made the 8 mile trip across one state line in the midatlantic by way of a stopover or 2 in kentucky? Highlights for me are a perfume that smells like baby shampoo, wallplate/ surge protector, and a coach valet keychain. Awesome elfing!
KRULL! A SKULL! BRETT HULL! AWESOME!
Never got mine. Oh well.
@dptalia
Bummer… sorry you got ‘ghosted’. Don’t give up hope for next time though!
@dptalia @ironcheftoni @sillyheathen
Is the Mehlf who ghosted now on the banned list for the future?
