@username Apparently green is actually more visible:
… the human visual system is most sensitive to wavelengths between 510 nm and 570 nm (greenish-yellow). Also, in low light conditions, people have trouble seeing red.
@username I find that a bright amber light is more noticeable than any green. Even in the dark, green is not a color associated with “pay attention here”, but both red and amber are. I suspect this may be part of the reason why these are cheap.
@Kyeh@username Fire engines are still very red here. Safety vests, OTOH, are either fluorescent orange or fluorescent chartreuse with reflective stripes.
Seems like a great emergency tool. I especially like the image of the safety light on the frame and makes me wonder how I can use it on other objects - not just bikes. Could come in handy if the power goes out during a hurricane.

@therealjrn Egg-salad! I haven’t had a good seizure since that Pokemon video. Thank you,
.
@cfg83 Whistler makes me thinks it is a mountain.
@yakkoTDI Of course! My nephew would appreciate.
It would be nice if it was red, you know. For safety.
Or at least add all other colors. You know. For parties.

@Kyeh that’s very good to know. Now I know why exactly all stops signs are that color.

@username You also now know why they’ve changed the color of fire engines from red to lime green.

Was my hippie garage band’s name.
@therealjrn @username @werehatrack That would be a good band name.
