My unused-earbud bag lives in the closet of the workroom. It contains every earbud I’ve acquired, because I never found any that I could stand to have in my ears.
How many earbuds does one need to own, before we (I) admit that we (I) am kind of an idiot? (To make this perfect, I’d buy this, but no, I’m not going to.) 'Night, all.
Whatever you do, do NOT go to the domain in the “warranty” email on a work machine. Definitely NSFW, and might not be safe for your computer. This is NOT an April Fools joke either. I would suggest that the Meh powers that be make sure that the domain is correct before they send computers to their doom!
This is awesome price for Hi-res lossless headphones. The brand may be unheard, but the sound produced from these units are really good. I bought it here for $12 last time, just to try it out. I ended up using it regularly for my daily commute to work. GET IT FOR $2.00 A PAIR.
@cfg83 I don’t see squares. But I’m on an iPad and the links for the top forum threads are moving, like the letter spacing is changing. Idk if it normally does it, or if I’m just paying extra attention because I’ve seen the madness that meh has done on April 1st before.
@earmstrong was the open box pair still sealed in the little translucent baggie inside the carrying case? I can’t really open those without destroying them.
What a pleasant surprise! I kind of expected some meh earbuds but these are seriously legit for the price. They seem nicely built and sound better than any other headphones I won’t mind losing. If these come up again, I hope to get some more.
@djslack I had a different experience. The sound was not so great using these buds with my beloved Sansa Clip. I had previously been using some wired Bose earbuds, so maybe it’s not a good comparison. However, they weren’t too bad using them at the gym on the treadmill, so I think they will work out just fine there watching TV during my daily workout. I think the braided cable may hold up better under those conditions.
@heartny I plugged them into my laptop. With music they were pretty balanced, plenty of bass, and distortion free at volumes too loud to stay at long term. I don’t know how I’d rank them blind against “good” sets but I was amazed for $2. Much better than some of the other disposable ones I’ve got before.
Maybe consistency is an issue and that’s why they came here.
@djslack@heartny My audiophile (that’s what he says anyway) son said they’re OK. He wears ear buds riding his bike and they wind up in the washer. So he has 6 new pair to destroy.
@djslack These are nice. The sound is a little richer than the iFrogz (which I also like). The microphone seems pretty good during my zoom calls. But even if they were just as good as the iFrogz, the fact that the cord has that woven cover and the buds are more substantial with the metal, they are a nice upgrade. I’m cheap and even if I bought these for $10 by themselves I would have been pleased. Getting 2 pair for $4 feels like a real win. I’m glad to have a 2nd pair.

We already broke it.
60 Minutes???
We’re quite the fools.
An hour, you fools…
Somebody tell me where the secret IRK is. I promise not to tell anyone
Ha, go fish.
Good night, I value my sleep way too much.
Cheaper than an IRK and probably more useful. Good enough for me, I’m done for the night!
Aren’t all wired earbuds lossless unless you have some sort of processing circuitry in them?
Or, they’re really shitty like the free airline earbuds? Those are pretty lossy I guess.
So it’s going to be a sloooooooo-athon.
good price for these… a perfect price would be $2 for both. Still not worth my $4. But this is a good start!

I ordered for the pouch. The pouches are really useful
Jokes on you! My drawer of ear buds is in the hallway…
How did you guys know I get reimbursed for expenses quarterly?

@Ellipse lol, or rather,
@Ellipse Why did you have to make it sound so enticing??? I had a seizure and sweet release at the same time staring at that page.
@Ellipse @texaskenny The page wouldn’t load for me… Must be every Mehtizen thinking that’s where a secret IRK is hidden.
@Ellipse @texaskenny I haven’t seen a site like that in a longgg time. It took me back a good fifteen years.

KRULL! A SKULL! BRETT HULL! AWESOME!
So is the April Fool’s Day joke that it’s not really a Meh-rathon?
Are you seeing weird white flashing squares on meh.com ? I am.
@cfg83 Yeppers. Every once in a while, they jump around and then vanish. No clue.

@remo28 @werehatrack Ok, I’m not the only one.
That makes me feel better.
The only available ones on Amazon are $20, but reviews imply they have been as low as $2.
Meh headphones are always the best. No one has ever said “Why did I order these headphones from Meh?”, ever.
woot just launched their chocolate sale if that’s your thing. prices aren’t great though
I did buy the m&m minis. I rarely find them on sale and the girls in my house love them on/in ice cream.

Arrived today: one sealed box, and one open box. No obvious cerumen or anything, but I wasn’t expecting open-box in-ear buds.
