This is an extraordinarily bad deal. Like, it might be a good discount on the item, but when the item starts off as such a poor value you have to do a lot better on price.
@dijit27 The Amazon house brand (Solimo) is $2 more for a full year supply. I switched to Nature’s Wonder brand (also ordered from Amazon) this reup because it was $5 less than Amazon (~$12.50) for a year’s supply, but haven’t started taking them yet. I honestly don’t think there’s much difference brand to brand as long as it’s not pure fraud.
@j4yx0r and when the manufacturer tried unloading them, even Big Lots and the 99 Cents only store buyers took a hard pass and Meh said, hey we know some suckers!
Wait, but these seem to actually have a decent blend of nutrients… I am so confused who thought this was a great item to manufacture. Like, just… Why?
unless this is total fake shit,this is a great deal, in for 2 if you want real multi there about 40 bucks a bottle and you don’t piss out 90% of the ingredients check out performancelab.com just bought a 4 month supply for $105 shipped with all the discounts.ill try the meh vitamins when im done with these
These actually contain a very good mix of vitamins and minerals. Better than what I have now! I’m too lazy to find anything better, so grain of salt.
@GLaDOS Well they are “live” in the sense they are active. When enzymes are heated they are no longer active. Out of all the odd things about this supp, that one doesn’t bother me…
@ryudoadema And to be fair, after reading the ingredients, they seem to trying to play up how some of the enzymes came from living things (pineapple, etc)
I suspect these were for the Magaritaville chain of resort hotels (no joke, look’em up); and since no one has been going to the hotels, that’s some serious surplus vitaminage to unload.
@Arglebargle Oh my goodness. These people used to amuse me and my friend when I saw them gather at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. Then you made me curious and I came up with this: https://www.margaritavilleuniversity.com/
Are you f’ing kidding me? Could this be considered a cult?
I can invision myself trying to convince my PC doctor that I’m not an alcoholic.
M: Yeah, I’ve been taking a supplement - Margaritiville Life. I’ve done it every morning for two months now.
P: Drinking in the morning is not good for your health.
M: But it makes me feel great.
Quite honestly these don’t look that bad. Good mix of vitamins and supplements, and made in the US by a trustworthy copacker. The root of the problem is exactly how many parrotheads really give a hoot about their vitamin intake? Good product, wrong target market. Looks like they weren’t very popular, expiration date?
@tonys2 as a longtime parrothead, I can tell you that nobody I know pays any attention to Margaritaville branded anything. It’s just another licensed revenue stream. As far as vitamins go? I’m much more concerned with limiting my sugar intake.
So if I take these and move into a Margaritaville Home Community and I’m Growing Older but Not Up am I still wasting away in Margaritaville or am I just a Fruit Cake exploring Changes in Attitude, Changes in Latitude? Inquiring minds want to know!
@readnj Wheel of Fortune is giving away Margaritaville homes this week. They are pushing all “Parrot” products to the old folk who watch The Wheel. Now, their vitamins are showing up on meh. I’m wondering if the Buffet empire is faltering?

Mehgaritaville
@mcemanuel Some people claim that there’s a woman to blame, but I know, it’s meh’s own damn fault.
Vitamins… but named margaritaville life? And also “whole food” but it’s a supplement. There are so many things wrong with this
/giphy is this a joke
Margaritaville vitamins? Like, I really wanna know what that meeting was like where that decision was made, lol.
@PHRoG something other than alcohol was involved
Wow
I took one of these but then I started wasting away again
@jmoor783 I could stand to waste away for a few months… Esp after I found my shaker of salt…
I can hardly believe this is a real thing.
This is an extraordinarily bad deal. Like, it might be a good discount on the item, but when the item starts off as such a poor value you have to do a lot better on price.
@Alereon Do you have any suggestions for a better value daily-multivitamin thingy?
@dijit27 The Amazon house brand (Solimo) is $2 more for a full year supply. I switched to Nature’s Wonder brand (also ordered from Amazon) this reup because it was $5 less than Amazon (~$12.50) for a year’s supply, but haven’t started taking them yet. I honestly don’t think there’s much difference brand to brand as long as it’s not pure fraud.
@Alereon Yeah, that is way way cheaper!
Oh goody! I need some whole-vitamin margaritas! Wait, did I read that right?
What the actual f–k.
I’m honestly trying to think of something more clever to say here, but I… I really can’t.
This is a thing. That exists.
@j4yx0r and when the manufacturer tried unloading them, even Big Lots and the 99 Cents only store buyers took a hard pass and Meh said, hey we know some suckers!
@j4yx0r This. My first thoughts were much harsher.
@j4yx0r I took one look at it and said hard pass.
Aaaaaahahahahaha. Ew.
Wait, but these seem to actually have a decent blend of nutrients… I am so confused who thought this was a great item to manufacture. Like, just… Why?
These make really shitty margaritas.
@RogerWilco bingo.
AT LAST… the quip finally makes sense.
@RogerWilco Best. Post. Ever.
Ummm…so you put these in water and they turn into a margarita?? If so, I’ll buy three sets!!! All we have to do is add water and salt…right??
@eeterrific if you can find your shaker of salt.
@ckcarlton @eeterrific right!
Not the pepper but the salt, the salt!
(If you’ve seen him in concert you’ll get this. )
This is not that frozen concoction that helps me hang on.
If you take them with a margarita, does it double their strength?

What’s the odds that these are going to end up in irks?
@ironcheftoni Very high.
*tequila, cointreau, lime juice, agave nectar, salt & ice not included.
Why do I get the felling these are based on the flip flop/pop top part of the song.
These actually contain a very good mix of vitamins and minerals. Better than what I have now! I’m too lazy to find anything better, so grain of salt.

@etingel It worked! Your order number is: unbecoming-upsetting-band

For shame Grants Pass! For shame! You’ve officially forfeited your right to call yourself an Oregonian after purchasing this tripe!
Five shame, at least. I’ve checked the numbers.

It says “live enzymes” on the package. Enzymes aren’t alive. Enzymes are proteins!
/giphy facepalm

In the sense that donuts are hole foods, this makes sense.
Jesus do those Amazon reviews read as fake.
@haydesigner I noticed that too, some of them are just blatant echoing the first couple bullet points on the box.
I suspect these were for the Magaritaville chain of resort hotels (no joke, look’em up); and since no one has been going to the hotels, that’s some serious surplus vitaminage to unload.
@Arglebargle this is the only scenario that makes sense. Good call.
@Arglebargle @tonys2 Holy crap! “Going to college while immersing yourself in the Margaritaville lifestyle.”. What the actual F?
@Arglebargle @tonys2 MLM (Multi level marketing). So yes, a cult basically.
I can invision myself trying to convince my PC doctor that I’m not an alcoholic.

P: Drinking in the morning is not good for your health.

WARNING: This product may cause you to waste away. Again. Use with caution.

Anything that contains Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme can’t be all bad. So, are these sold at the Scarborough Fayre?
@MrNews Cultural appropriation!
@MrNews You may be surprised to learn that sage encourages seizures. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/j.1528-1167.2007.01379.x
I’d be more tempted if they threw in some flip flops.
So if I take these and move into a Margaritaville Home Community and I’m Growing Older but Not Up am I still wasting away in Margaritaville or am I just a Fruit Cake exploring Changes in Attitude, Changes in Latitude? Inquiring minds want to know!
