@ThunderChicken, Opinions¿ OK!! I don’t have any of these, I don’t want, nor need any & I won’t be crying that I shoulda, woulda, or couilda got any. They Are Fn To Me!! You can probably safely assume I won’t be buying any of this fuckin crap!!
@ThunderChicken, you,are very welcome TC. Although I did kindly answer your first essential Q&A, I also answered your next & follow-up question. Yes, it was a might harsh, but such is the nature of sarcasm, which I see most guys here either don’t like, don’t get, or just don’t appreciate. I didn’t know this platform was a garden party! My Bad!! Please, disregard every single word after ‘these’ in the 1st full sentence, [after OK].
@decoratedwarvet
Um… Congrats? This isn’t really meant for adults and would actually make a decent gift for a young kid who is into electronics but not ready for an arduino.
@mehvid1, to you & the guy or guyette above you: I did think about the fact that these are & would be cute gifts for children, but alas, I have no kids. Due to Agent Orange exposure, my children , it was sad to find out, would likely be born with spinal bifida [mspld], a birth defect. Ergo, I chose to be single & childless. No problem though, y’all didn’t know.
Is there any need for ThunderChicken to use vulgar language in his reply? Is that person vocabulary that limited? If you don’t like the offer that is fine, it could be expressed differently.
@glarue@housepage916, my bad. Believe it or not, I very, very seldom curse, but noticed that many here did, so I was trying to fit in, but you both are right so in my sarcastic rants, I won’t be fill-in my sentences with curse words & they were unnecessary! Thanks, for the constructive criticism!!
@glarue@housepage916, yeah, like Cheeto, I luv Golden Showers, but it wasn’t my breakfast of champions she pee-peed on, it was my Haelman’s Stroopwafels, dead nabbit. Oh well, my dog was just marking her territory; at least, ‘That’s What She Said’.
@Bumplepimp@yakkoTDI I’m sure most here think 3.5” floppies are ancient, 5.25” even more so. But cassettes? Lunacy. (If they even know what a cassette is. My 20 y.o. just “discovered” my cassette collection in the basement. He literally asked where the song list was printed on a “mix tape.” Not sure if that’s a poor reflection on me as a parent or… But he did seem suitably perplexed by one of my German technopop tapes (Off) from the late 80’s.)
I bought these last time and the software doesn’t work on new Macs. It runs but the arduino sdk they package doesn’t and even if you try to upgrade that they have a few proprietary libraries. They have responded to one customer service request but not corrected the issue.
@poobox Wholly Mackerel! In the thousands of times I have read the forum, this might be the first legitimate response to “will it work with Macs?” Kudos @poolbox!
I guess my only follow up question would be does it work with Macs and Cheese?
MacOS Catalina. I’m pretty sure the issue was 32bit binary support was dropped with that version.
I installed another programming app for them (honeycomb something) and I’m trying to remember how much of the Juku app worked and how much of that app worked… neither ended up being satisfactory.
welcome to the future. STEM toys that are supposedly infinitely hackable, in turn barely work on specific OSes in specific past time frame. proprietary and incompatible with anything else

So steamy.
Does anyone have these? Opinions?
@ThunderChicken, Opinions¿ OK!! I don’t have any of these, I don’t want, nor need any & I won’t be crying that I shoulda, woulda, or couilda got any. They Are Fn To Me!! You can probably safely assume I won’t be buying any of this fuckin crap!!
@decoratedwarvet Well, “Does anyone have these?” was essential to my questions, but thanks for the input.
@ThunderChicken, you,are very welcome TC. Although I did kindly answer your first essential Q&A, I also answered your next & follow-up question. @ThunderChicken hilarious sarcasm
I sat up till 11 for this useless crap!!
@decoratedwarvet
Um… Congrats? This isn’t really meant for adults and would actually make a decent gift for a young kid who is into electronics but not ready for an arduino.
@decoratedwarvet you can buy it for decoratedwarvet’s neighbor’sgranddaughter.
@mehvid1, to you & the guy or guyette above you: I did think about the fact that these are & would be cute gifts for children, but alas, I have no kids. Looks like puzzle toy for a fifth-grader, and I am not smarter than a fifth-grader.
@hchavers Since I have a fifth-grader on my shopping list, these may be on target.
These would make excellent stocking stuffers to introduce a grade school student to coding.
Is there any need for ThunderChicken to use vulgar language in his reply? Is that person vocabulary that limited? If you don’t like the offer that is fine, it could be expressed differently.
@glarue for clarity, it was decoratedwarvet responding to ThunderChicken. But yeah, I agree with you. Someone peed in his Wheaties this morning.
@glarue @housepage916 housepage916 thanks for the clarification. glarue I share your sentiments.
@glarue @housepage916 @ThunderChicken The deco rate dwarvet* seems to like spewing for no apparent reason.
*Still think female dwarf should be dwarfet but maybe a when you get the deco rate version from the dollar bin this is how they spell things.
@glarue @housepage916 @ThunderChicken @yakkoTDI I like him. He keeps things interesting. And some people here encourage that kind of language. Right, @carl669?
@glarue @housepage916, my bad. Believe it or not, I very, very seldom curse, but noticed that many here did, so I was trying to fit in, but you both are right so in my sarcastic rants, I won’t be fill-in my sentences with curse words & they were unnecessary! Thanks, for the constructive criticism!!
@glarue @housepage916 @sammydog01 @ThunderChicken @yakkoTDI
how dare you accuse me of encouraging cursing! the fucking nerve!
@glarue @housepage916, yeah, like Cheeto, I luv Golden Showers, but it wasn’t my breakfast of champions she pee-peed on, it was my Haelman’s Stroopwafels, dead nabbit. Oh well, my dog was just marking her territory; at least, ‘That’s What She Said’.
Kinda wish the specs were a bit more specific than “requires a computer.”
So, my Commodore64 works ok? Raspberry Pi? TRS-80 model 3?
@bakerzdosen You have to use a Timex Sinclair 1000 with the crappy membrane keyboard.
@bakerzdosen @yakkoTDI ENIAC with a mini-USB cable or bust.
@bakerzdosen @yakkoTDI Yes! I had That! With the 16k ram module and cassettes. My Mom donated to a charity when I moved out. I wish I still had it.
@bakerzdosen The software download is here. Try it and see if it loads on your cojptuer.
@Bumplepimp @yakkoTDI I’m sure most here think 3.5” floppies are ancient, 5.25” even more so. But cassettes? Lunacy. (If they even know what a cassette is. This is just STEM punk.
@mehcuda67 stem junk
I take it the person whom did the write-up is as excited for Cyberpunk 2077 as I am…

@poobox How “new” is a new Mac to not work with this?
@poobox Wholly Mackerel! In the thousands of times I have read the forum, this might be the first legitimate response to “will it work with Macs?” Kudos @poolbox!
I guess my only follow up question would be does it work with Macs and Cheese?
@poobox That’s too bad. I think my son would’ve liked this.
@poobox Yep, I had the same issue with a Mac running Catalina. Wound up being a frustrating experience and eventually trashed item.
Does it work on a Chromebook?
@benperry1 No, it does not. PC (Windows) or Mac only, though the comments say that Mac support is questionable.
MacOS Catalina. I’m pretty sure the issue was 32bit binary support was dropped with that version.

The 1 Amazon review I saw last night was a 1 Star… MEH
