@ddbelyea I am amused by the photo of what appears to be a person with a picnic basket in the park and a steaming hot mug of coffee.
A cafe? Sure, I can buy taking this thing on errands and to chill on a pleasant morning. Or sitting on one’s own patio or deck with a morning mug. But who’s carrying an open mug into the park? Etc.
Very hard to find anything about the product or the company online. Web search on the email on the box photo finds http://pacificoceanmaterials.com/ which does sell some outdoor solar lights, but nothing about this power bank. Looking at wayback machine snapshots finds vapid blurbs and no products. Some other places selling this product says weight is 2.7 lbs which is ridiculous. Maybe that’s for two units in packaging? Does anyone have it? If it’s really 6W of solar panel then I can believe that the solar panel plus the powerbank is 1lb. That’s heavy for 10,000mah but maybe tolerable if you do want the solar.
@discosparty I think somewhere around 4500k is ideal for a flashlight. My Emisar D3AA is custom with three LEDs. two 4000k domed Nichia 519a and one 5700k dedomed Nichia 519a. IMO it’s the perfect blend for a flashlight.
I could see you wanting warmer for this thing if you’re going to use it to read like the lady in the picture. I’d think she could find something better to read with though, lol.
“Flood” light might be a bit of a stretch, considering the promo image barely seems to light the page of her book… With ambient light helping… When right up against it…
tempting only if i find out i may be paying a monthly “free shipping” thingy I inadvertently or overtly signed up for but cant remember because. What was I saying? Oh yeah hard pass because 91lumens or die!
The aliens hand the father a book. It’s titled “To Serve Man” At first he was convinced it was a recipe book but upon opening it he found it was a song book full of songs that had been burned onto a solid gold disc and hurtled into space onboard the Voyager 1 and 2 spacecraft back in 1977.
Who doesn’t need more power banks? Oh, that would be everybody here. Who’s crazy enough to buy two more because of the nifty folding solar panels? Me, of course.
@ItalianScallion Here’s the image you requested for “someone named Matthew who between 12 and 13 minutes after 10 o clock is talking about ungrateful …”

Flood or flash, either way, 95 lumens is useful but not amazing.
@werehatrack flood, flash, or gas (No One Rides for Free)
@werehatrack It is equivalent to the brightness of a traditional 7-watt to 10-watt incandescent bulb.
I am looking forward to the public math that will explain how the solar panel on this battery will take 7 days to get it to a full charge
At last a solar panel that may actually charge a battery! Math says 8-10 hours.
Will this arrive in time for the coming apocalypse?
Is this the most pictures in a meh listing? If not, what was? This was 24 not counting the meh generated one.

Not only because I see it, but by it I see everything else…
Hi @dseanadams proofreading on Isle 3.
Praise be
@therealjrn was the “Isle” 3 intentional, for irony, or did you need a proofreader?
@therealjrn @warpedrotors What if it’s a dessert isle?
@warpedrotors uh…yeah…totally on purpoise.

Finally! A way to covertly steal electricity from my employer without all the obvious cordage. In for 50. Gonna need a bigger desk, though.
How long does one of these take to fully charge using the light from the other one?
What’s the color temperature on these things?
Sad day blue 5k or warm incandescent 2.7 (3k) orangey nice?

Today’s writeup was a bunch of Mlarkey.
You were thinking it.
I just said it.
You can thank me later, as I will be showing myself out now.

Great minds think alike…
(Not sure what my excuse is
@chienfou @Jonas4321 @pyroguy7 Also came here to say this
No Bluetooth Speaker.
I am out
I, for one, welcome our new Mlark overlords.

@GeckoD Exactly what I was thinking.

My main problem is that I don’t have the best track record with Meh and anything with a lithium ion rechargeable battery in it…

@mediocrebot Where ironically, the clock is the anachronism.
