I got a few earplugs & one pair very similar to these, AND I’ve not worn any of them,…I mean, why do I need earplugs, or bulky ass headphone’s in my house. I have been quarantined forever, so as long as my dog & kitten don’t complain, then I’m good! BTW, I even have hearing-aids & don’t wear them either, so!!

any idea how you can control the data on the card? does it have to be one ginormous folder that plays in order? Does it start back where you left off? Can you play individual folders (ie albums) and how do you know which one you picked? how do you select an FM station? Does it establish presets based on signal strength?

I’m interested in these, but I’m still using these Wicked Audio headphones I bought on meh awhile back. At $12, they were easily one of the best purchases I ever made on meh (almost makes up for all the garbage). If these rubbery blue bitches are even half as good they’re still worth it.

I have been pretty happy with the Wicked stuff i have bought over the years. OTOH those look much more like “over-the-ear” cans (my preference) where this offering looks like “on-the-ear”. Still, as you say, may make good mowing accessories. (I usually use earbuds under hearing protectors so I don’t have to crank them up so loud.) I have some (cheap) headphones that are supposed to be noise cancelling but I haven’t tried to see if they will block out the mower yet. Still recovering from Achilles tendon surgery so haven’t been able to get on the mower quite yet…
@fring the sound is decent but people complain they can’t hear me so I think the mic is crap. The other ones I got here started with an A. I forget the name right now. They don’t sound as good but they work better for phone calls. They also have active noise cancellation but I really don’t like it.
@fring@tweezak I definitely don’t like the mic, but I also didn’t buy them for that purpose (I prefer earbuds with an in-line mic for calls, it’s easier to control the mic audio).
@chienfou In my admittedly limited experience, active noise-canceling tends to be better at filtering out higher frequencies, so if they’re actively powered it could definitely take the edge off the mower (which makes it much easier to hear the music), but if ear protection is the concern your current solution is probably better. I actually had a friend who did the same thing–and for the same reason! Great minds think alike. Hope your recovery goes well, man. I hear that one’s a real bitch.
