- honestly people were surprised that iPhone14 still had Lightning. Almost all other new Apple stuff is already USB-C. I was surprised when my new AirPods Pro 2 also still had a lightning charging case, though it charges with wireless too. Sure the last hoorah for Lightning.

- @pmarin You can thank the EU for that change. They mandated that all new cell phones sold there had to use USB-C as of a certain date, and Apple screamed like a horde of enraged howler monkeys when their appeals all failed.

The big question is whether or not the lightening end is cat teeth proof on this brand. I have a cat who figured out how to open a drawer to get at the one I had rolled up in there to keep the little shit from chewing on it. This is the only kind of cord end he chews on. Actually I need the dirt cheap ones due to that.
