“Down” and out so no thanks …allergic to feathers-- so what’s good for the goose might not be good for the gander…,definitely not for goose or gander losing their feathers in this case-- ER this pillow that goes in a case…
@AttyVette I’m allergic to just about every plant and animal in the world. It’s been years since I’ve been totally free from congestion. But feathers manage to make my already stuffy sinuses EVEN MORE STUFFY!!!
@pooflady They sold bamboo covered pillows that everyone hated because they were like bricks. Then they sold more bamboo pillows and said they were softer than the last ones. I bought those. My head doesn’t make a dent in them.
@cinoclav Go for memory foam cluster pillows. They are firm and supportive with just enough give. Unlike buckwheat hull pillows, they don’t make noise when you move.
@mike808@thecosmicjester Yes, I use memory foam. I bought these off a Groupon offer ($34 for two after an extra $10 off) and absolutely love them. On the firmer side, they support my head without sagging too much overnight. I did have an original Sobakawa pillow, and I agree, the rustling of the buckwheat hulls is annoying.
@mike808 There’s an emoji pillow vendor in the basement of Union Station (DC), in addition to the standard poo emoji pillow they also have what I suppose is the lady version, with pink lips and a pink bow in its… hair area. Super weird.
@ruouttaurmind everything I buy is just too thick. I’ve bought pillows that seem thin, but then I’ll get them home, I swear they’ve expanded to twice the thickness suddenly. My current pillow is actually too thin from me sleeping on it for so long because I can’t find the right one.
I have a pillow I didn’t return, and I’m seriously considering ripping open the one seam and taking some of the filling out until I’m happy.
Not long ago I bought two feather pillows along with pillow covers. Husband’s is fine but mine keeps having feathers sticking out. Seems like it’s always the middle of the night when I have one scratching my face.
Down pillows, you either love them or you hate them, I am on the hate side, as there is no actual firmness in a down pillow, calling them “medium” firmness is absurb, there is no firmness in a down pillow, and if you are allergic these are death pillows. Also be aware you might get some funky smells with low cost down. Best to stay away.
I was excited about these until I read the product description. These aren’t down pillows. They’re primarily feather pillows with some down thrown in to falsely call them down pillows. There is a massive difference in comfort between this and a 100% down filled pillow. It’s like comparing tang to orange juice. Sure they’re both orange but one is a terrible imitation of the other.
@rpg714 A true 100% down pillow is very, very expensive, but totally eliminates the issue with feather quills sticking your face in the middle of the night.
@ruouttaurmind They are not “very, very expensive.” I usually find my 100% down pillows with 100% cotton covers at warehouse clubs for about double the meh price for these crappy pillows. Sure, you can spend alot more, but that’s true for anything. For example, feather and microfober pillows can be found in the “very, very expensive” aisle…as well as in the much less expensive than meh aisle.
The trick to down/feather pillows is to stuff two pillows inside one pillowcase. I’ve been doing it for awhile now, and my wife finally tried it. She’s sleeping better than she ever has. In for 2! Err, 4!
Any kind of feathers in a product is an awful thing! Watch some videos. The feathers are painfully ripped from the birds. Don’t support animal torture! Don’t buy. Don’t sell, Meh. It really is wicked.
@Pufferfishy You think feathers are collected only from dead birds? Wow, that is so incorrect. The birds are alive and after they’re plucked, the birds are kept so they can be plucked again after the feathers grow back.
@warpedrotors Oh ho, so clever. What was your thought process? Maybe, “I must prove that I don’t care about animals, that I’m better than animals, and that I’m more powerful than anyone who speaks up for animals. ROAR Let’s stick it to the person who cares about animals. I’ll pretend to buy the pillows and blame it on them. That’ll show 'em!”
@Pufferfishy Maybe you don’t believe enough of them. Research, watch, then tell me what you think. BTW, PETA is one of my least favorite animal advocate organizations.
Love down, HATE feathers. I guess they could be used as torture devices or in a guest room when someone has overstayed their welcome. Another duality, love 100% and HATE microfiber. Microfiber makes me sweat, and for sleeping that’s just not my thing!

“Down” and out so no thanks …allergic to feathers-- so what’s good for the goose might not be good for the gander…,definitely not for goose or gander losing their feathers in this case-- ER this pillow that goes in a case…
@AttyVette Not down with this deal.
@AttyVette I’m allergic to just about every plant and animal in the world. It’s been years since I’ve been totally free from congestion. But feathers manage to make my already stuffy sinuses EVEN MORE STUFFY!!!
@AttyVette So…you’re gonna “duck” this deal…
@eeterrific and @AttyVette might be goosed as they duck out…
Great product, but I’m all about the foam. Thanks anyway.
@lordbowen I’m sure you’ll re-cover from the disappointment.
@mike808
Like I’m gonna trust you on pillows ever again.
@sammydog01 Same here. That’s one item I will never again buy until I meet it in person.
@sammydog01 Why?
@pooflady You must not have had the misfortune of experiencing the Bamboo pillows sold here a while back.
@pooflady They sold bamboo covered pillows that everyone hated because they were like bricks. Then they sold more bamboo pillows and said they were softer than the last ones. I bought those. My head doesn’t make a dent in them.
@sammydog01 Don’t forget these. I wish I could.
@OldCatLady I actually like mine quite a bit.
@m33rkat Those were the WORST things Meh has ever offered.
I’ll sleep on it and think about it in the morning.
@cengland0
/youtube let me sleep on it
and I’ll give you an answer in the morning
In. If I’ve learned anything from Infocom games, it’s proper respect for fluff.
My wife is allergic to down… she is all about up!
@ImTheDoctor smells like updown in here
I’d need the two pack, stacked and folded in half for enough support. I despise down pillows.
@cinoclav Get a buckwheat pillow. I’ll never go back to another pillow.
I’ve gotten mine for years (and refill hulls) from these folks:
http://beans72.com/
Me love them long time.
@cinoclav Go for memory foam cluster pillows. They are firm and supportive with just enough give. Unlike buckwheat hull pillows, they don’t make noise when you move.

@mike808 I have a full buckwheat hull mattress. Not sure how I ever slept before.
I’ll order a couple in 25 hours
I don’t enjoy down pillows, pretty sure the goose doesn’t, eider.
@KDemo It’s cool, the goose has a pillow made of human fingernails.
@awk that sounds REALLY comfortable. Where can I get one?
@KDemo I see what you did there.
Snooze
Come on lol only $1.99 better then amazon for the standard give us some love.
@mongoosejoe actually this is in a two pack; amazon is only one pillow for $30 I believe
@mongoosejoe “than” not “then”
I saw the alert and thought it said “Emoji Pillow”, and now I’m disappointed. (Not that I would’ve bought those either.)
/image emoji pillows
@awk maybe this one.
/image poop emoji pillow
@mike808 There’s an emoji pillow vendor in the basement of Union Station (DC), in addition to the standard poo emoji pillow they also have what I suppose is the lady version, with pink lips and a pink bow in its… hair area. Super weird.
@mike808 We have that one at work.
I can’t find a pillow in a store that I’m happy with… Definitely not going to take a chance online.
@RiotDemon Right? I keep raising the price I’m willing to pay but no matter, still can’t find that awesome pillow joy.
/giphy pillow joy

@RiotDemon I have the very same problem.
Enjoying the cleverly poet-ized product picture lists.
@KDemo yes, these are my new favorite thing.
bought a house on zillow
out front there’s a willow
keep the lights down real low
my dealer sold me a kilo
@KDemo Yes! Plus Doris and Rock. I always enjoy @kylethephotoguy’s work too.
@sammydog01 - Pillow Talk, right?
@awk
If your house is yellow
you can smoke a cigarillo
and ride your armadillo
pillow
@KDemo more like if your house is amarillo…
Ienjoy it when you peddle things named by non-English speakers at nearly full price…
Buy 'em all and have a pillow fight!! Or some randy pillow talk.
am I missing something ? since when does goose (front page description) = duck (specs)
@mehod when you’re gonna duck a deal…
@mehod Mehbe the duck was goosed.
latex pillows are the only way to go!
/giphy apathetic numerical mule
Eh, no reviews on Amazon, so I’ll wait and see what the brave souls here have to say next time these come around.
@harveydanger or hunt for it later on morning save
Does the king size pillow have more down than the standard? Or is it a little larger but the same fill power?
Not long ago I bought two feather pillows along with pillow covers. Husband’s is fine but mine keeps having feathers sticking out. Seems like it’s always the middle of the night when I have one scratching my face.

@donrull How about “significantly more expensive than a $5 polyfil pillow at Target” or "when compared to the low-end of the pillow market ".
@ruouttaurmind Or, you could just admit you’re wrong…
@donrull It’s all a matter of perspective, innit.
@donrull
@ruouttaurmind I already knew that.
@donrull

@jahvada Do you eat meat or eggs from the supermarket?
If the birds were alive when this happened this would mean something.
@Pufferfishy Disclaimer: No birds were harmed in the production of these pillows.
@jahvada I didn’t need pillows and I wasn’t sure if this was even a good price, but your post convinced me to buy. Thanks!
@Pantheist No, I don’t eat meat or eggs from the supermarket. I’m vegan, which if you’re doing right, is a lifestyle, not just a diet.
@Pufferfishy You think feathers are collected only from dead birds? Wow, that is so incorrect. The birds are alive and after they’re plucked, the birds are kept so they can be plucked again after the feathers grow back.

@jahvada You believe too many cherry-picked PETA myths.
@Pufferfishy It’s one of those people who thinks everyone else is interested in its dietary preferences. Not worth the effort.
@Pufferfishy Maybe you don’t believe enough of them. Research, watch, then tell me what you think. BTW, PETA is one of my least favorite animal advocate organizations.
@Pantheist You suffer from tunnel vision much?
Why are they in the same bed?
@stuntdriver I have the same question about Trump and Putin.
@cinoclav Coffeesnort. I have a very low standard for jokes. Glad you do too.
/giphy coffee nose
@OldCatLady Now I wsant cofger
I was about to get some, then I read reviews for other pillows by same manufacture. Mostly good, but “crunchy” and “flattens to nothing” scares me. https://www.wayfair.com/IEnjoy-Home-Simply-Soft-Slumber-Time-Down-Pillow-IENJ1232.html
No microfiber stuff for me anymore. microfibers and our oceans
Will it make my wife sneeze or is there some kind of hypoallergenic aspect to these feathers?
Feather pillows are an epic F A I L - enjoy your pokes.
(feather != down)
Love down, HATE feathers. I guess they could be used as torture devices or in a guest room when someone has overstayed their welcome. Another duality, love 100% and HATE microfiber. Microfiber makes me sweat, and for sleeping that’s just not my thing!
I dont trust anyone that can sleep comfortably on Down pillows.
IKEA has a great selection of pillows.
FYI, here’s the tag for the pillows we’re selling today:
@dave Something tells me the “Grey duck feather” is pigeon.
country of origin?
@shadow7118 The ducks?
@warpedrotors Since when is China “The ducks”?
/giphy love her pillows
@TheMonkeyKing AWESOME!!
Will I be more or less ‘aligned’ than Mike Lindell’s incessant pillows?
Hate the prick not the feathers!
#DownWithFeathers
I thought this deal was paused? Why hasn’t it sold out?
How many ducks died for these pillows?
I ordered them. Fully ready to love or hate them but the arrival date keeps backing up. Now due next Friday. Starting to hate them already.
These are really nice I’m glad I got them I wish I would have gotten four more
Meh…they go flat immediately after your head hits them. Nice for looks, not so much for sleep.
Been using these pillows for a few months and they aren’t that good. They aren’t bad enough to find a replacement, but wish they were better.
Overall, it was a fine purchase.
