There may be one set of prongs on the back of these units, but there is also a plastic nub on the back to anchor it into the ground of the second wall outlet. (Sure, you could always de-nub it, but then you’d be a monster who doesn’t deserve the choice of surge protector ownership.)

540 joules is definitely meh, but adequate for most common spikes. The USB wattage is 3.4A total, but not necessarily 2.4A vs 1A. And that’s 1800W, not 18,000W, which is enough capacity to handle a 15A appliance.

Presuming that there actually are any held back for VMP’s, does anyone know how much power the USB portion of this draws when it’s not in use? Sometimes power adapters have significant draw even when nothing’s connected.
We screwed up and did not reserve any items for the 4pm VMP launch today. This was not planned, and is not anything we’re doing moving forward, it was just purely a slip-up. I’m currently trying to track down some more inventory in hopes we can still offer some to VMPs, but I don’t know what the chances are currently.
Bummer… I was also thinking my VMP might come in handy for once… any chance you can make it up to us some other way if they are not available? (like say a coupon or free socks or something? )
You can’t give people a crutch like the circuit breaker and then yank it out from under them. VMPs have become too reliant and lazy. I’m still curious about how site traffic changed since before the days of circuit breaker and now. (if the 11pm changeover gets fewer hits)

Its decent. Worth buying if its on sale. Otherwise get something a little more sturdy when plugged in.
