@darkzrobe Believe it or not, they actually had a two-fer Tuesday with Kindle Fire HDX's (the smaller version to this last one listed). It was a very decent price (I think $200). I also believe it was the only time they opened up purchasing after the item sold out (because they said they found more in the warehouse).
@Fej They definitely get pushed around by wind. Even mild air conditioning will cause them to drift around. They don't have any positioning devices to have them hold station aside from their gyro that keeps them level.
@Fej They absolutely do, but it's not really a problem. It's counterbalanced by the POWER OF SHEER AWESOMENESS! BASK IN ITS WHIRRING POWER! SOAR AMONGST YOUR CEILING LIGHTS, AND SMASH INTO THINGS WITH WILD ABANDON. ALL SHALL WORSHIP YOU AND DESPAIR!
@Fej Sure, so when you are outside harassing the mockingbird who thinks he owns your front yard, you may come a li -ah, lot closer to him than you actually intended to. OTOH, if you try herding the Canada geese by buzzing around their heads, they ignore you. Sooner or later there will be a landing disaster, which is why you need spares.
@Fej Yes, in our advanced test-flight facility (a lab where we're supposed to be doing other things), the A/C will make it drift a bit but these things are a riot. Their one failure - something that they could have addressed with circuitry since it does have a leveling gyro - is that the power level consistently drops as it flies and the battery voltage rolls off, so you ever-so-gently have to keep throttling it up to keep it level.
For the price of a couple of hipster IPAs how much more fun could you have? (Well, a few of these plus the IPAs, I suppose...)
Leaky batteries aren't just for Alkaline AAA's, my first one of these also started leaking all over its circuit board. They didn't put any padding between the sharp pointy components on the circuit board and the battery.
Not buying these only because I bought two last time around -- I gotta say these little guys are a lot of fun. The manual is more complete and the copter flies more stably out of the box than any other I've bought (not just from meh).
This one gets a two-for-Tuesday thumbs-up from me.
Got one the last time round; they fly amazingly well. Worth looking up how to recalibrate them. Also order spare props and a bumper. You'll need them. And check out advanced mode, too.
@Lrok - thanks, didn't think of ebay.. just found a set of 2 bumpers with 4 sets of blades for 6.xx lol. Now whats this about calibrating and advanced mode? Will the manual explain these?
i had fun until mine started falling out of the air every 10 or so seconds even after a few recharges my 2nd one I gave to my sister and it seemed fine when I tested it out a few times. Would buy these for 5 dollars
also i bought a phantom and that thing is like butter in the sky on a nice fresh brioche
@The_Tim OMG, these are SO fun! Takes a little practice to fly steady, but with determination, you can get them to do the full 360 flips! Thought my cats would love them too...not so much. Be careful, as it really hurts when they fly into you &/or one's face...those blades pack a wallop for being so tiny! Enjoy!
I bought two the last time it was offered. I didn't realize just how tiny they were. Very hard to control at first, but once I got the hang of it.... just kidding. I never got the hang of it. They are difficult in tight quarters. If you have a day without wind, take em outside. There's so much more room for activities out there!
As for mine, one now has a malfunctioning rotor engine, rendering it useless. The other still torments the cat whenever I feel like it.
P.S. Reading the instructions alone is worth a couple bucks. Somebody plugged their language straight into Google translate and copied it word for word. It's good stuff.
@Mac454 don't feel bad- mine attacked me right out of the gate, a prop biting into my arm and drawing blood. The 1 whacko-prop motor thingy finally relegated it to a great cat toy on the tile floor.
Here we fucking go again, Twofer Tuesday emerges from the dark alley next to that sketchy ass pawn shop. There's a buzzing in the air and as she approaches you, it gets louder. You desperate buy the max in hopes to amass your own army. An epic fucking dual approaches...more to come, I hope. Bravo squad, out.
@mfladd resistance is futile I bought six last time. Was using 3 of them 30 mins ago. Props break so quick it's worth getting more just for spare parts. Also, did you get your Phantom 2 off the ground yet?
@mehdaf god damn you! you can't use my own gif against me. Ok, two more. And no - sad. Is yours up and flying? Pics by next week over at drone.horse - you do the same?
@mfladd hmmm, ok deal, but it will really take me a solid week to get flying again and get pics. I got it flying once to show my family, tooled around the yard and then went straight up until I got scared, almost couldn't see it anymore. I didn't realize the GPS mode kept it so stable and it took me a long time to get it back down. Well it seemed like a long time anyway. Pro tip: put your phone number on it right below the text. "reward if found"
@mfladd yes it was very cool. Can't help but grin when flying it. Very happy to have one, and the only way I would was at that price. I just bought it to tool around, I don't even own a GoPro. Maybe one day if Meh sells the older ones. Also, I caught it by the landing gear with a friend holding it at 7 feet or so. It was amazing how good the GPS mode is at holding it still, and it's much easier than landing (watch the blades of course). Stock gear sucks, very very easy to tip over when trying to land, it needs skids on the bottom, but that is a future project... Now I feel I have to go to drone.horse more, is this getting a bit too off topic?
Went in for 4, then had to confirm with wife for 2 more. These will make excellent stocking stuffers and generic emergency gifts. Meh feel free to combine my two seperate orders into one box if it saves you money :P
Hell yes. I told you, meh, I would buy more of these. One more for me and another for my friend who liked it better than some radioshack quad and his Hubsan X4. These things are awesome. (Also if I could get a blue one that would be awesome).
@marklog I like your brand of self halp advice. You could be a Mehtivational speaker, or a life coach. "Are you overweight? Eat better and get some exercise. Problem with substance abuse? Stop doing it or you will die. Addicted to online shopping? Big whup, what's wrong with that?"
So yeah. That helicopter you guys sold last sucked major balls. I bought it because my learning curve basically wrecked one of the motors of the quadcopter. The whole time flying the heli I just wish I was flying this guy instead.
Thanks so much for offering it again and adding a spare parts quad with it.
I have a blue one, so if orange and green are available that would be awesome. And if there's a sphero that accidentally finds it's way into the box that would be totally cool, too.
Oh yeah, these are actually pretty sturdy. I brought mine along for a work trip this week just to have something fun to do for 10 minutes at a time. Totally slammed it into the door and then the floor. One rotor stopped and the other three were stuck at full throttle so I had to pick it up carefully and turn the switch on the body off. Got hit in the fingers by rotors a couple times (which hurt!). Turn off, turn on, back to flying!
@kensey I've experienced this same software crash numerous times; it's fairly reproducible. I've also had it where only one engine runs full blast while the other three are off. In either state, trying to turn the power switch off is like trying to pluck the queen from the middle of a moving hornet nest without getting stung.
@mehdaf I bought one of the packs of blades and blade guard on Amazon and it's awesome. Saves the blades a bit more from damage, plus lets you pick it up by that if the blades are stuck on.
I bought a few last time...my experience with the first one was pretty weird.
It worked alright for about a week or so. However, on one fateful evening the Cheerson CX10 lay powered off on the coffee table after gaining my trust. I went off to do something and was then notified by an inhabitant of the room that the copter had come to life briefly before returning to its slumber. I inspected it, saw that it was off, and moved on. Soon, I witness this phenomenon for myself, as one of the four motors activates itself in little spurts for a while, presumably until the fatigued battery excerted its last milliamp-hour of life. When I plugged it in to charge, that pesky rotor once again commenced its rotation with a trememdous force that didn't cease until a few seconds after the power cable was yanked out by my surprised hand.
TLDR: Basically, one rotor now goes as long as the battery has power, regardless of whether it is on or off.
Tip 1: Move the joysticks SLOWLY and GINGERLY. The CX-10 is extremely responsive and a slight movement in the sticks will translate instantly to the quadcopter.
Tip 2: The blades are sharp. It's entirely possible to cut yourself. Keep away from your eyes, i guess. This toy is freaking awesome.
Tip 3: Buy a bunch of spare propeller blades. I ordered 40 of them off Amazon for about $7. You can find them cheaper, but they ship from china and take 30-45 days.
Tip 4: They will charge off any USB port. I actually found one on my cable box that works awesome.
Tip 5: You think these are fun at home? Well they're ten times more fun at work! Buzz your co-workers desk with impunity, for you have air superiority, making YOU the boss!
Tip 6: You're going to need more than one, because other people will want to fly it. If you only have one that greatly limits your own flying time. That's bad, mmmkay.
Tip 7: Inside, with no wind (a/c, fan, breeze from a window, etc) they'll last 10 minutes easy on one battery. They charge up pretty quickly too (30 min?) so MOAR FUN SOON!
Tip 8: You can fly them drunk. Just sayin'. It's not illegal (yet).
These things are ridiculously fun, and you should DEFINITELY buy a pair. In fact, although Toon's writeup was awesome (as always, great work), he could have pared the whole thing down to this:
The CX-10... Get a Pair.
Shit, that sounded better in my head. I'll leave the writing to Jason from now on...
tl;dr The CX-10 is the best thing you'll buy on meh. Do it now.
@DaveInSoCal I'm embarrassed to admit this but I cannot figure out how you can determine the location of the item when it's listed on Amazon.
The product details do say "Origin: China" but I thought that meant the product was manufactured in China not necessarily that it is being shipped from China.
@cengland0 Don't feel bad; it's tricky. Once you have it in your cart, Amazon will give you an estimated shipping/delivery date. Anything more than 1 week or so is usually China. I pretty much stopped buying anything that isn't prime eligible.
These little things are amazing. Go buy extra props now, they like $2 for a bunch of them but take 3 weeks to come in from China. The bumpers are great too while you're getting the hang of it. I bought two the first time around with the intention of giving one to my 6 year old but 30 seconds into that and it was clear these things can be dangerous and are not for kids. In any case I was happy to have two and I even bought another CX-10A. I'm in for two more because you just can't have too many. Thanks Meh for introducing me to my latest obsession.
@NadmanET My toddler kid loves to run after them after they've crashed and pick them up and put them back on a flat surface. I've even got him looking for the red/blue lights so it faces forward ready for the next flight. But yes, he also knows to back waaaaaay up before it takes off.
@Mac454 Helicopter parenting..that what I been doing. I been trying to beat my toddler to it when I crash so he doesn't do any harm. I've have it all wrong this whole time.
One veered near me when I first started flying them and I was really surprised how much wind was created by the rotors. So of course I tried to get it to hover just over my head and provide a pleasant breeze.
Tip: If you do that, it will inevitably either get tangled in your hair, or try to poke an eye out, or somehow both at once.
These fly great and are a lot of fun. My lesson learned from last time - buy spares! They break, or sometimes you get one that doesn't work very well. Prop guards, cool 3-blade props, and other mods are available on eBay.
I bought six of these last time, and have opened and used three of them. All work good. My biggest surprise was that any color remote will pair with any color copter, just depends which you turn on. My biggest mistake was not realizing that both sticks push in like a button, and that's how you flip (right stick) and set the difficulty mode (left stick). My biggest tip is to read the manual on how to calibrate the accelerometer, (after pairing place on flat surface and push down left on the left stick and up left on the right stick at the same time and wait for the lights to stop flashing). Clicking the left stick until you hear one beep sets the sensitivity to beginner mode, do this when learning how to fly. Flying time is short, so buy more than one (obligatory today) so you can charge one while flying another. Buy extras for spare parts or buy prop guards and extra props online. Controls and props are just like a Phantom, meaning the same rotation props are kitty corner from one another (don't screw this up when changing the broken props). If it falls out of the sky when taking off for no reason, inspect the props for damage. especially the tips of the blades, they get bent easily. Good luck, have fun!!!
Like a fool I flew my tiny 'copter into the water my wife was boiling for spaghetti the first day I popped the thing out of the box. We poured the water out and tossed the little guy in some rice overnight. It flies like a champ. Well, it would if I wasn't a crappy pilot. I'm not destroying dinner these days, at least.
@kasheyev The first time I read this, very early in the morning, I thought you were still describing dinner at "tossed the little guy in some rice". Yum.
Bought 3 last time. These have lasted longer than any other cheap quad I've ever bought. The first one just died. Gave the second one to my nephew, have one left.
Thinking about getting two more. To me, these are strictly inside birds... it doesn't take too much wind to make them blow away.. and they are so small hard to see outside.
God I've been waiting for these for forever. Buying 6 this time just to have spares after my massive mistake of only buying one. My favorite small little bugger purchase I've ever made.
i bought one from china for 17 bucks and it was awesome, so i bought 4 from you guys last time and your's is super glitchy, lags to connect and goes all haywire when you crash, buts its still great, so price = quality, so meh :-)
If you have a kid flying these, put some protective eye gear on them. Seriously, having no cage around the blades, these could puree a cornea in a millisecond, and kids don't have the experience to duck.
My daughter burned out the motor on one getting it stuck in her hair. They tend not to turn off when you really want them too.
There's something wrong with your Meh button counter. Shows I missed two in a week but when I go to those sale day pages it shows I hit the button. It's a fun way to get people to come visit every day but it becomes annoying when it can't tally right.
Since my first attempt at buying these went afoul and I never received them (because someone in the Charlotte post office is a Meh! fan). I'm trying this one mo time! Wish me luck.
It's a great training copter! I love mine! My dogs, however, hate it, so I'd need more than one. It's a great buy and a lot of fun. I haven't had many problems, but for the price, you really cant beat it as a first foray into "droning" or whatever the hell its called. :P
Bought only 1 of these the first time around, and while it was 'for the kids' I played with it WAY more than they did. These two will actually be for the kids, until they break them. Then they will become parts for mine - BWHAHAHA!!!
I have spare parts from my first order - it took 3 deliveries to get me one with four working motors, flight was quite erratic with 3 working motors, let me know if you need props or controllers :)
I passed on these the last time, and then got super jelly when everyone was saying how much fun they are. Now I'm staring at the BUY button, and hesitating. I know myself enough to understand I will probably rip these from the box, play for 10 minutes and never pick it up again.
In again for 2 more. These are amazingly resilient little quads, we fly them around the office and crash into everything quite often. The props bend back and we're off again.
@Pantheist You don't think I tried that? Not everything can be a winner like your unicorn meat diagram unfortunately. I'm sure I'll have an opportunity to play the game again soon though.
Hmmm, bought three last time, still have two unopened, totally don't need.....buuutttt.....I do have VMP.....and I need to justify having that.....so what the hell....two more!
@darksaber99999 Yeah, I did look, and that was about as good as it got. As I understand how Meh order phrases work, that's the only one that will ever have "sound" in the last position, so I couldn't waste it.
@darksaber99999 you found that picture while searching humdrum-woven-sound ? i despise google for making my search results different because I could not find that picture anywhere down my results
@baqui63 Ha, I'm definitely just blowing off steam. I'm not an MVP so my total cost was $27 for 2, while it's $26.78 (with 26 bangood pts). Was just disappointing to stumble across after having made the purchase, is what it is.
@Wrightboy pretty marginal difference, especially if you had chosen to get VMP and have free shipping on any other purchases this month+random free shit.
Nice sell out day. I know they may be cheaper on Banggood but this is awesome I wish they came with the basket, as that's the "safest" way for us to fly them... I haven't broken a prop since putting it in the basket.
Mine just arrived, and while difficult to fly, they are a blast, however getting them stuck in the dog's hair isn't a good thing. She's a little pissed that I crashed it into her and it promptly tangled up in her hair and started pulling. Once I cleared that mess, I managed to fly it under the piano . . . the amount of hair balls it found stopped the props from working . . . now that it's fixed again, might need said basket someone else talked about before wifey will let me fly them anymore.
@mfladd I've never seen a Roomba so small, it'd need to be 2-3 inches tall to fit under the piano. The quad copter just fit; remarkable flying if I do say so myself.
@GarbyRator I was picturing a baby grand and was envious. Yeah, they have a tendency to find spots like that. Also, since they have tiny drones, wouldn't a tiny roomba to reach places like that be awesome? I think we may be on to something.
@mfladd I like the way you're thinking. Today at work I got a spam fax (seriously, it's amazing how many spam faxes still come through on a daily basis) that there's a guy that's got $200K to invest, so that's our start up capital and we dominate the micro vacuum market!!! World domination shall be ours!!!!!!
Dear @mediocrebot, my charging cable has broken. If you have any spares lying about the office or warehouse I would happily take them off your... ummm.... gripper-thing. Thanks!
@DaveInSoCal You got two cables since it was a 2-for-Tuesday sale, use the other one.
My propeller blades have broken within the first 3 minutes of using it. I ordered 40 replacements but they are on the slow boat from china. I also got the safety bumpers that I will use at least until I get used to flying these. They are more difficult than it looks.
@cengland0 I did the same thing thing with the bumpers. I decided I was good enough to take them off and I found out that they are much faster and more responsive without the bumper. I had to re-learn how to fly them.
Dear @mediocrebot, After about 2 weeks of useful flights (~9 minutes/ea), one of my copters doesn't charge anymore. The charge LED comes on for 3 seconds and goes out, and any attempt to fly results in a pitiful 1/4 turn of the blades before giving up. My second one only seems to run for about 3-4 minutes now and I'm worried it will experience the same fate. Do you have any guidance to extend the longevity of these things, because 2 weeks seems wasteful.
On another note, I have perfected the helipad landings on my Claritin Bionaire Tower (which I bought for the helicopters)
shameless plug alert Still reveling in your purchase of a fleet of CX-10s? Please take a second to star my review for them to help prove they're the best purchase on Meh. And leave a review to join the scavenger hunt fun if you want!
Yeah it's a good thing that this came with 2. One worked for an hour or so then stopped working and never charged again - enough to leave the ground. The 2nd works but charge time is about half of what it was when it started and I am out of blades.
@Mob8oss A little late now, but make sure you give the battery a few minutes to cool off before recharging. Don't fly it until the battery is so low that it won't stay in the air. Land as soon as the low battery warning starts to flash. Don't let it sit around too long with the battery completely discharged.
On the bright side, spare batteries seem fairly cheap if you're apt enough to get yours open.

FIRST!
@alchymist
In the first couple of seconds you sold more of these than the kindle fire.
@darkzrobe So much for that fire sale.
@Kylethephotoguy I see what you did there
@Kylethephotoguy Was that a experiment or something? Or just a misguided sale?
@darkzrobe Believe it or not, they actually had a two-fer Tuesday with Kindle Fire HDX's (the smaller version to this last one listed). It was a very decent price (I think $200). I also believe it was the only time they opened up purchasing after the item sold out (because they said they found more in the warehouse).
(I guess I like parentheses)
Not first!
FIRST!
no thanks meh, I've already bought some rc copters from you. I don't think I need any more.
@boygenius1991 Infidel! You can never have enough RC copters! ;-)
@ruouttaurmind Absolutely, Comrade!
I guess Prime Day missed out on selling these
catastrophic-volatile-cheetah
Fair enough.
Do these not get knocked around by wind?
@Fej They definitely get pushed around by wind. Even mild air conditioning will cause them to drift around. They don't have any positioning devices to have them hold station aside from their gyro that keeps them level.
@Fej yes

@kazriko 12 bucks though. twelve. dollars. I surprised it can even spell gyro, much less have one... :P
@Fej Yes, in our advanced test-flight facility (a lab where we're supposed to be doing other things), the A/C will make it drift a bit but these things are a riot. This one gets a two-for-Tuesday thumbs-up from me.
Just awaiting @studerc's commentary and the firestorm to follow...
@cinoclav The deed is done.
YOUR LINE BREAK IS SOME BULL**. I thought that there were 10 for $22, you cads.
@thechinglish i also felt the same way for a brief moment i need to go to sleep
@thechinglish me too, i was really confused for a second.
@dis_member ditto
Got one the last time round; they fly amazingly well. Worth looking up how to recalibrate them. Also order spare props and a bumper. You'll need them. And check out advanced mode, too.
Just ordered two more.
@SJester - links, for the uninitiated?
@Goatcrapp. I bought mine on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=161741427746&alt=web
They came pretty quick from China. Can't beat $2 for 4 sets!
@Lrok - thanks, didn't think of ebay.. just found a set of 2 bumpers with 4 sets of blades for 6.xx lol. Now whats this about calibrating and advanced mode? Will the manual explain these?
@Goatcrapp Yep, it's all in there. :-)
I just want one for $11. Anyone want to split one with me?
@Kenahn buy two just for the spare parts for $11
You got me again you magnificent bastard's.
i had fun until mine started falling out of the air every 10 or so seconds even after a few recharges my 2nd one I gave to my sister and it seemed fine when I tested it out a few times. Would buy these for 5 dollars
also i bought a phantom and that thing is like butter in the sky on a nice fresh brioche
@sp3ar Starred this for the image. I think I feel a new art project coming on.
@ACraigL who knew bill murray and abraham lincoln were quite similar in appearance
cagey-beneficent-cactus.
Got 3 the last time, in for 2 more. Totally worth it.
Picked up one back in June when they were $12 for one. Can confirm it is very fun. Very tempted to order two more...
Enjoy!
@The_Tim I ordered 3 sets this time! Christmas will be chaos...
@Mac454 agreed. I lost mine in the bushes after many unsuccessful attempts to fly.
@tb1999 Quadcopters are hard to fly. These are easier than at least 5 other quads I've flown.
@Mac454 don't feel bad- mine attacked me right out of the gate, a prop biting into my arm and drawing blood. The 1 whacko-prop motor thingy finally relegated it to a great cat toy on the tile floor.
@Mac454 Check for hair wrapped around the motor shaft. One hair will do it.
Here we fucking go again, Twofer Tuesday emerges from the dark alley next to that sketchy ass pawn shop. There's a buzzing in the air and as she approaches you, it gets louder. Suddenly you are rushed by a dozen flying pests. The fuck are those?! You attempt to swat them away, but their too fast and at the same time they have the accuracy of a fucking stormtrooper. You desperate buy the max in hopes to amass your own army. An epic fucking dual approaches...more to come, I hope. Bravo squad, out.
The gawky-anterior-government rises up to fight.
@studerc Confused, dual or duel? My context clue skills are lacking today.
@xarous It matters not, young padawan. It wouldn't be Meh if there weren't at least a few fuck ups.
@studerc Bought one the last time. My only regret was that I didn't buy more. Fuzzy-Alleged-Frame.
@DaveInSoCal The army grows. Twofer Tuesday flanks left. DISC evades and counters. Deals out overkill damage.
@studerc wait. There's another kind of damage? Overkill is all I know.
Color selected by mediocrebot, who is an asshole.
Mine melted after 2nd run. Unhappy ten year old.
@ibjungle melted?! can i has picture?
@ibjungle You soared to close to the sun, my friend.
@ibjungle
@ibjungle The props don't even have dings!
@ibjungle yikes dat was a hot motor
Bought two because these will come in handy during the "Epsilon" stage of my plan for world domination. Ah, but I've told you too much already.
@awk bought 1 last time as well, but lost one. It went up, never came down. So in for two more, hopefully red and green
Meh. I already own three... But, Xmas presents? Damn.
@mfladd resistance is futile
I bought six last time.
@mehdaf was it awesome? good suggestion - cheap option:

Just a pic in the air. I am not putting my gimbal and camera on until I learn how to fly this thing.
@mehdaf nope, not off topic at all. Glad you enjoy it!
Went in for 4, then had to confirm with wife for 2 more. These will make excellent stocking stuffers and generic emergency gifts. Meh feel free to combine my two seperate orders into one box if it saves you money :P
These are too small to attach things to. What is the point of a copter if not to carry my glass of water over when I am already in bed?
@HELLOALICE That's why you buy six, and have them bring you your water one thimble at a time.
@HELLOALICE If you get good enough at hovering them over people's heads, they can make really nice fans!
KuoH
@HELLOALICE I actually crashed mine into a glass of water.
I want, but don't need, so I shall pass.
@Stallion who needs any of this stuff?
@Stallion
Hell yes. I told you, meh, I would buy more of these. One more for me and another for my friend who liked it better than some radioshack quad and his Hubsan X4. These things are awesome. (Also if I could get a blue one that would be awesome).
@stoopkid lol, when I first read that I thought it said your friend liked it better than his Husband...
Not that there is anything wrong with that...
@mehdaf But husband x4 - that's too many.
Mine never charged correctly. My son won't stop begging me to play with it, no matter how many times I tell him its broken. Very disappointed.
@givemeyoursoul so do something about it rather than just sitting there. Did you email halp@meh.com?
Okay, in for two more. I was literally just flying mine a few minutes before these went on sale.
Dear Mediocrebot - The one you sent me in June was green so can I pretty please have a red one and a blue one this time?
Not so much "meh" today!
My boss and I will have fun with these. #ExtremeBrownNosing...
fidgety-gauche-caviar
Odd... this popped up in the 4th row of google images...
I have a blue one, so if orange and green are available that would be awesome. And if there's a sphero that accidentally finds it's way into the box that would be totally cool, too.
@DaveInSoCal I have both and these are way better than a sphero...
@JonT I don't know who to thank, but I received orange and green. Thanks mysterious mini-quadcopter packer!
@NadmanET lol, I've had that happen too. You try grab it from the bottom, right? But what to do when it's right side up and stuck... Ouch...
@mehdaf Use chop sticks to grab it. Oven mitts don't work as well.
@a You don't have a quad problem, you have a ghost problem.
can we get some CX-20's up at some point?
I hope mediocrebot chooses purple for me. Oh wait, that's not an option. For that alone, meh.
translucent-intense-yoke
This is chapter 1 of Dave's "Just the Tips"
Do it now.
@DaveInSoCal $7 for 40 blades? It looks like they are only $2.79. Do I have the page for the correct blades? http://www.amazon.com/Coolplay-40pcs-Cheerson-Propellers-copter/dp/B00O9MP0J6/ref=pd_sim_21_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=13G0RF9Y9N04DC6ZSKWA
@cengland0 those are fine. I was going through props too quickly and couldn't wait for shipping from China (3-6 weeks).
@cengland0 Click on where it says "15 new from $2.79" then you can see where they ship from... the best deal is probably $5.19 with prime.
@TheCaptain Interesting. Thanks for that tidbit. Please explain this then.
The default seller is: "Ships from and sold by FT-Deal."
Why isn't that seller one of the ones listed when you click on that "15 new from $2.79" link?
@cengland0 its there, they are the top one. the logo is just so ridiculous you cant tell what it says.
@TheCaptain I guess you're right. That image is a horrible representation of their business name. If I asked someone what this said:
Who would think that said FT-Deal.
Anyway, good catch on that. Thanks.
@dave My five year old does the same thing. Blue to the front, because daddy is not a smart man.
@Mac454 Helicopter parenting..that what I been doing. I been trying to beat my toddler to it when I crash so he doesn't do any harm. I've have it all wrong this whole time.
@NadmanET. This is what I ordered last time from ebay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=161741427746&alt=web
4 sets for $2
@NadmanET does it really only fly for 8 minutes? It seems like it would spend more time charging than anything.
@dave
www.foxtrot.com/2015/07/19/too-cool/
@unksol Ha wow, now it looks like I made that up. More likely it's just a universal discovery.
@dave lol didn't think you made it up just got a kick out of it
These fly great and are a lot of fun.
@mehdaf A little embarrassing to admit, but I did not know that about pushing the sticks in for the different modes. Thanks for the tip!
(I didn't read the manual, of course, but will dig it out and read it now.)
@dave you have given so much to us, I hope I can give back in some small way. Lol...
Bought one last time, and have had fun in my office. Getting these two as gifts for the nephews.
On the Simpsons right now Barney is taking helicopter lessons.
@Ghostwheel
you don't need to be sober to fly these.
@Ghostwheel sorry it's audio only... My favorite part of that episode.
@kasheyev Stay away from my wife.
Yum.
@sligett A little nori wrap, a sprinkle of sesame seeds... crispy copter roll.
at this price, why not?!
Paycheck just came and I'm already making poor decisions.
ungrateful-thoughtful-beast
I was THIS close to cancelling VMP. In for 2.
Buy a multi-port USB charger so you can charge your whole fleet at once. Buy extra of these for gifts, parts, and now fun.
@sligett sigh. "Now fun"? I meant to type "more fun". I shouldn't message after midnight.
@sligett I bought those Sunbeam power packs specifically just to charge 2 of these at a time. Works good!
Had to get some more!
amusing-morbid-school
@baqui63 apologies... I clearly screwed up posting that image:
i bought one from china for 17 bucks and it was awesome, so i bought 4 from you guys last time and your's is super glitchy, lags to connect and goes all haywire when you crash, buts its still great, so price = quality, so meh :-)
And yes, I just ordered some bumpers off of eBay.
@pajamma good call on the glasses, and good call on the bumpers.
There's something wrong with your Meh button counter. Shows I missed two in a week but when I go to those sale day pages it shows I hit the button. It's a fun way to get people to come visit every day but it becomes annoying when it can't tally right.
@alextse Regardless if you clicked it for that day or not, the sale page will always show the face after the sale is over.
Since my first attempt at buying these went afoul and I never received them (because someone in the Charlotte post office is a Meh! fan). I'm trying this one mo time! Wish me luck.
homely-sweltering-love
I could only get in trouble by finding a picture to go along with that order number...
@mconrad please, allow me.
@marklog Thanks! LOL
It's a great training copter! I love mine! My dogs, however, hate it, so I'd need more than one. It's a great buy and a lot of fun. I haven't had many problems, but for the price, you really cant beat it as a first foray into "droning" or whatever the hell its called. :P
Ok, my first quads. Or my kids' first quads. Really it's for me.
We love our mini quad- just watch out for ceiling fans. I highly recommend a blade guard- not so much to protect the blades but to stabilize the flight. They're a couple of bucks on Amazon. I have run this thing into most of the furniture in my house and it still runs. Watch out for fur in the props though.
http://www.amazon.com/Cheerson-CX-10-Protector-Propeller-Purple/dp/B00PGRNFE0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1437478803&sr=8-4&keywords=cheerson+cx-10
@sammydog01 +1 for dog fur in the props. easy enough to clean if you catch it in time.
@sammydog01 Thanks for the link! :)
Bought only 1 of these the first time around, and while it was 'for the kids' I played with it WAY more than they did. These two will actually be for the kids, until they break them. Then they will become parts for mine - BWHAHAHA!!!
I have spare parts from my first order - it took 3 deliveries to get me one with four working motors, flight was quite erratic with 3 working motors, let me know if you need props or controllers :)
vulgar-annoyed-brush
Yes please! But I hope Mediocrebot gives me a blue one.
bare-blessed-noise
I passed on these the last time, and then got super jelly when everyone was saying how much fun they are. Now I'm staring at the BUY button, and hesitating. I know myself enough to understand I will probably rip these from the box, play for 10 minutes and never pick it up again.
I think I won't be purchasing today, sorry Meh.
I ordered all ten of these. There are none left.
unnatural-unreal-vampire
@Marion14505 Huh? They didn't sell out yet.
@cengland0 It was a perhaps too subtle attempt at humor.
@Marion14505 I got jokey-classy-vampire
@sligett mehst be in a vampire mehwd.
I want to buy so many of these
lonely-scary-scarecrow
Ah fine, I'm in for a few more.
Mewing-Unbiased-Cannon
No interesting pictures came up, so I'm posting this instead:
@mehdaf
We knew you would. Locutus of Borg thanks you.
@mehdaf Love it!
@mfladd it's the gif that keeps on giving!
In again for 2 more.
These are amazingly resilient little quads, we fly them around the office and crash into everything quite often. The props bend back and we're off again.
@Kingfish28 Oh, and: sneaky-sliced-coleslaw
I love my $10 helicopters, and I know people kept talking about how much better these are so....
distant-implicit-meat
@Pantheist I appreciate the meat diagram for these creatures but... why?
@Dengue I got it from google images after searching for distant implicit meat (my order "number")
@Pantheist Ah, cool. My unkind-fearless-rainstorm doesn't yield anything interesting unfortunately.
@Dengue aw well. They don't always. Try searching without dashes too if you're bored- I find I usually get more interesting results that way
@Pantheist You don't think I tried that? Not everything can be a winner like your unicorn meat diagram unfortunately. I'm sure I'll have an opportunity to play the game again soon though.
@Dengue haha fair enough
But, but, we've already got a useless unstabilized quadcopter. And yet... they're so cute. Fine. Whatever.
@whogots The ball is in your court in terms of stabilization. It's good to hone your skills.
Hmmm, bought three last time, still have two unopened, totally don't need.....buuutttt.....I do have VMP.....and I need to justify having that.....so what the hell....two more!
rambuctious-mournful-coal
video i posted last time, gives you a good overview on how these things work and how to properly replace the props (there are two different kinds)
@deadlybunny That soft reset feature is really boss.
@deadlybunny Are you bigclivedotcom? Please be bigclivedotcom. One of my favorite youtubers.
@DrunkCat Left stick, bottom left --- right stick top left for the trim reset.
My first Meh purchase
@chadz81 Great first buy! These are obscenely fun.
So am I in for 6? Or is in for 3?
Regardless: evanescent-venomous-hose
These are great presents for school birthday parties.
Bought 1 last time, sorry I didn't buy more. In for 2.
I guess this will solve the problem of the missing propeller from the Cheerson I got last time on meh.
humdrum-woven-sound
Which isn't something you'd post an image of, so...
@editorkid I would:
@sp3ar I used Bing and removed the hyphens.
@darksaber99999 @sp3ar Yeah, I'll check out DDG, Google, and Bing, but I always remove the hyphens.
Cheaper on banggood, and about the same time for shipping. Kinda feel cheated. You have failed me meh!
@Wrightboy provide a link please. I just checked banggood and best price I can find is $13.39 for one (this was $22 for two).
@Wrightboy meh. not as much fun.
@baqui63 Ha, I'm definitely just blowing off steam. I'm not an MVP so my total cost was $27 for 2, while it's $26.78 (with 26 bangood pts). Was just disappointing to stumble across after having made the purchase, is what it is.
cheers!
@Wrightboy pretty marginal difference, especially if you had chosen to get VMP and have free shipping on any other purchases this month+random free shit.
@Pantheist
random free shit
Nice sell out day. I know they may be cheaper on Banggood but this is awesome I wish they came with the basket, as that's the "safest" way for us to fly them... I haven't broken a prop since putting it in the basket.
@snapster thank you for today's business lesson.
Don't sell 19 Kindle Fire tablets. Sell $65,000 worth of disposable toys.....
@somf69 I may be reading into your comment but that's mighty nice of you not to call a Kindle Fire a disposable toy.
@mehdaf @somf69 Nice or naive?
@GarbyRator may I also suggest a roomba for under the piano?
The novelty and "I usually never clean there" necessity market would be ours. Something like this:
We could also pitch it on Shark Tank! I can see Lori Greiner putting these on QVC and in Bed, Bath & Beyond.
@cengland0 They are intended as gifts. I bought a solo the time before, which is now a sitting lonelyful on the table.

Still reveling in your purchase of a fleet of CX-10s? Please take a second to star my review for them to help prove they're the best purchase on Meh. And leave a review to join the scavenger hunt fun if you want!
@djslack already done. :)
@mfladd If you're giving out stars...
@Thumperchick ^ done (plus I starred everyone's reviews) you people are working hard. Crazily, like you are all certifiable, hard.
