@phendrick it all depends on the cat
My cat is a grazer she might eat 1.5oz during the night. BUT my roommates cat will eat till she throws up and go back for more!
@phendrick@ragingredd I’m unable to give input from my cat, since he always seems to dry himself off before eating.
But, obviously, every cat is different.
@phendrick@ragingredd@xobzoo well. Then he chose to be wet? They are weighing down the north west corner. If you choose to resist I’ll follow suit even if we fallow suit.
For cats, not people
OK, then why was that guy cracking open a can in front of the fire? Only a crazy person would take their cat camping. Which he might be, since he’s opening the can with a can-opener instead of the pull tab.
@PusherBot I think I see a gas mask on the left, so I’m wondering if maybe he’s a post-apocalyptic scavenger? At the stage pictured, he’s probably eaten all the cats already, and is now moving onto the cat food. (“You are what you eat” after all…)
Oh it’s pungent AF! I bought 2 sleeves at ocean state job lots for 4.99 (8 cans × 2 different flavors) and I just give her (Sophie 12yr) a couple scoops at night and she’s just like meh, couple of nibbles, I end up chucking most of it. cause it in the morning because it’s barely even touched and dried. Such picky animals.
@ragingredd
Thanks for the (un)endorsement. My cats aren’t super picky, but they weren’t very fond of the last food that I got here. Since this is about twice what I’m currently paying I’m going to have to pass this time as well.
Do you have to wet the cat before you feed it? I have some experience with this, and in my case, the cat was far from hungry after getting out of the washer.
We already have a stock pile of cat food our cat won’t touch. She’s weird. Only eats basic dry food. Can’t even get her to try chicken or shrimp off my plate.
FFS, “grain-free” cat food completely misses the point.
It’s not the grain that’s the problem. It’s the carbs. Having tapioca starch as the third ingredient completely defeats the purpose of keeping grain out of food meant for obligate carnivores.
@chunkychewyyum Our girl won’t touch real beef [but likes our vegetarian ‘beef crumbles’ when given a taste]. I told my husband, “Well, when the last time you saw a cat hunting down and eating a cow?”
@Kyeh oh goodness I could go into a lot of detail on this topic. But I’ll summarize that I think things are better as is, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it
@Kyeh I see her hanging out in their driveway once every few months. But she acts like she doesn’t know me anymore, so I’m not seeking that response out.
Its fine, the cat wasn’t all that compatible with our house (dogs, travel, etc), and she’s reasonably safe and has a good life and that’s what really matters.
I do feel very proud that I got her as a feral from the shelter and maybe played a role in acclimating her to humans enough to survive in the world before she launched.
The tropical blend chicken pate (chicken and coconut oil) is the only wet cat food my cats will touch, and I’ve tried a LOT. Unfortunately (for their hydration, but fortunately for my wallet) they still prefer the indigo moon dry food from this brand so my stock of these cans is fairly robust. Still, for a dollar a can, I’m gonna spend the rest of the day considering it.
We folks who are allergic to fish would also like deals on food for our pets. 🫤 I don’t know who decided that fish was THE food for cats, or that some type of fish by-product had to be in every single thing made for pets, but they are one of my personal nemeses.
ETA: BTW, this is the brand of food that our cat currently eats, so I know that [healthy] fish-free food is possible - I just don’t understand why it isn’t more common.

So this is what happened to the Solid Gold Dancers.
I doubt my cats will eat solid gold. They prefer meat.
@OnionSoup yes it have to to be the reason.
I love things that are solid and wet at the same time.
@j4yx0r yep as long as their moist!
@j4yx0r @ragingredd
Doesn´t have to be. “Wet cat food” could just be food for a wet cat.
This deal is for PUSSIES (which I ain’t) so a hard pass from me!!
@IndifferentDude Yeah, we know, you already told us what you are:
https://meh.com/forum/topics/72-pack-maxim-tailor-made-condoms-8-packets-of-lubricant#674652c559179d5621988e82
@Kyeh Yep, this deal is for my best friend!!
Just in time for the apocalypse, aka WWIII.
Is it this good?
They can try to make it look delicious to us but you know damn well it’s still going to smell like pungent cat food when opened.

Hopefully the ferals like it
“wet cat food”
How much food does the typical wet cat eat in a serving?
@phendrick it all depends on the cat
My cat is a grazer she might eat 1.5oz during the night. BUT my roommates cat will eat till she throws up and go back for more!
@phendrick please at least dry your cat before feeding for a baseline. Wet cats are very. Erratic
@phendrick @ragingredd I’m unable to give input from my cat, since he always seems to dry himself off before eating.
But, obviously, every cat is different.
@phendrick @ragingredd @xobzoo well. Then he chose to be wet? They are weighing down the north west corner. If you choose to resist I’ll follow suit even if we fallow suit.

@PusherBot @xobzoo oops all thumbs?
@xobzoo It’s definitely a gas mask. I think you figured it out!
Oh it’s pungent AF! @ragingredd I got a bunch of cases there to. My foster kittens love it. Went back to see if they had more pate, but only found shreds.
And the shrimp and tuna doesn’t even look like that! Its way worse! Smells like you left tuna and shrimp sitting out in the sun all day OMG
@ragingredd
Thanks for the (un)endorsement. My cats aren’t super picky, but they weren’t very fond of the last food that I got here. Since this is about twice what I’m currently paying I’m going to have to pass this time as well.
Wow. You mfs don’t know cats. G’ luck.
Any idea where it’s made? Canada? Thailand?
@craigthom Thailand
A couple of negative Amazon reviews say it’s made in Thailand. Even more say it makes cats farr a lot.
@craigthom
Yeah… NOPE!
@craigthom Our cat eats this brand, and she’s never farted from it.
It may be a decent purchase for a shelter or other animal rescue.
Tasty, but it doesn’t beat Doggy Chow.
@alnielsen I will stick with Dinky-Di.
Eh, I’ll give it a try. Worst case is our indoor-only princes don’t like it, so the paupers outside get it.
Do you have to wet the cat before you feed it? I have some experience with this, and in my case, the cat was far from hungry after getting out of the washer.
Don’t knock it til you try it
We already have a stock pile of cat food our cat won’t touch. She’s weird. Only eats basic dry food. Can’t even get her to try chicken or shrimp off my plate.

Had mixed experiences with this brand before. My cat hated the Beef and Salmon pate, but my parents’ kittens adored it.
It’s strange because my cat is a scavenger and has enjoyed all other wet food brands thrown at her.
@chunkychewyyum Our girl won’t touch real beef [but likes our vegetarian ‘beef crumbles’ when given a taste]. I told my husband, “Well, when the last time you saw a cat hunting down and eating a cow?”
@chunkychewyyum Well, *when’s/when is…
{I hate it when my brain can’t decide between two choices, then chooses neither}
I’d get this for my cat if my neighbour hadn’t stolen her
@dpease You can’t get her back?!
@Kyeh oh goodness I could go into a lot of detail on this topic. But I’ll summarize that I think things are better as is, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it
@dpease Do you at least get to see the cat, still?
@Kyeh I see her hanging out in their driveway once every few months. But she acts like she doesn’t know me anymore, so I’m not seeking that response out.
Its fine, the cat wasn’t all that compatible with our house (dogs, travel, etc), and she’s reasonably safe and has a good life and that’s what really matters.
I do feel very proud that I got her as a feral from the shelter and maybe played a role in acclimating her to humans enough to survive in the world before she launched.
@dpease Oh, I’m sure you did! It sounds like she’s happy, but too bad she doesn’t acknowledge you anymore.

Yes it is made in Thailand
