Only 100 days till Christmas, and it’s not even autumn yet!
But that means that you only have 99 days to finish your Christmas shopping, So what are you waiting for:
Get Going!
No no no no no no no no no!!! I do not want to see Christmas Trees in the stores yet nor listen to christmas carols over their PA systems when it isn’t even October yet!
While I can fully understand the sentiment of not wanting Christmas marketing to start yet, the wailing and gnashing of teeth over an event that happens the exact same day every year seems a bit overblown.
So I guess what I’m saying is, in this case, blame the messenger!
It is nonsensical to my brain to see Halloween and Christmas items being sold at the same time. When I was a kid, and dinosaurs roamed the Earth, they waited till after Thanksgiving for all things Christmas!
I was out and about yesterday and the Halloween decorations are already 50% off in the one place for the winter. Allowed me to get a cool little candy dish thing that was awesome to me for half price but still half price September 15th
@Cerridwyn
That’s ridiculous. I’ve said it before and I’m gonna say it again. By the time you put up your Halloween decorations and figure out you need something it’s too late bc the stores have had their decorations out and selling since the beginning of summer. Everything is picked over or bought and selling for three times the price on eBay or Facebook marketplace.
I’ve seen people starting to put out Halloween decoration the past couple of weeks. I’m almost tempted to start decorating my from yard bc this will be the first year doing it and I know I’m gonna need to buy something but we’re still cutting the grass so I’ll constantly be taking stuff down and putting it back up.
@kittykat9180 I quit after my mother died and my father quit caring if he came up for christmas. He came but we didn’t really celebrate or put up a tree or any of that kind of stuff. And my personal life I celebrate yule.

@Kidsandliz

@Kidsandliz @tinamarie1974 It’s already Christmas at Costco.
I’m kinda hoping to see a war break out between the Halloween and Christmas areas of the store.
/showme a war between Halloween and Christmas at Costco
@mediocrebot Not bad, not bad at all.
@blaineg @Kidsandliz yeah same at Sams, but I dont have to like it or support it. I want to enjoy halloween and Thanksgiving first.
@blaineg @tinamarie1974 What you are not having thanksgiving in the war?
@blaineg I’m stealing that image.
@Kidsandliz @tinamarie1974 No Thanksgiving stuff spotted at the local Costco.
@blaineg @Kidsandliz I cannot comment in Sam’s, as I didnt venture over to that area. I only saw the giant displays from a distance.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO OH NO NO NIEN NIEN NIEN NIEN!!! WE ARE BARLEY 1/2 THROUGH SEPTEMBER!!!

@MrGoodGuy Ive seen this one before and love it
I quit celebrating Christmas when I turned 18 and moved out of my parents house.
I am grateful for that decision every year when fall comes around.

I should dust off the lasers and start making some ornaments.
ONLY 72 days until Sint Pannekoek.
It falls on Nov 29th this year. (and every year). I hope Meh sees fit to have a mehrathon on Sint Pannekoek this year to honor the sacred holiday.
