10-13-17 It's Friday
6Friday the 13th… A superstitious day that has turned into a terrible set of movies. When I was 15 or so, my boyfriend and I were into going to the blockbuster store and picking random items out of the horror movies section. We watched a lot of terrible shit. Eventually he decided that he wanted to watch all the Friday the 13th movies. I agreed if we could watch all the Nightmare On Elm Street movies afterwards. We plodded through the Jason movies… Man, they just got really stupid. When it was finally my turn to watch the Freddy films, he watched one or two and then refused to watch the rest. I was so bitter that he wouldn’t watch movies he wasn’t that into even though I had to watch all the crappy Jason movies. Freddy was at least funny.
I watched Jason X several years ago. That was semi interesting at least. The nanobots helped.
I looked up to see why this day is so superstitious. This link has a lot of cool information.

My favorite number is 13. I love black cats. Occasionally I’ll knock on wood.
Are you superstitious?
Tonight’s musical selection:
Scar Symmetry
The Illusionist
Morphogenesis
Were you expecting Rebecca Black?

Uuuuuummmm…Friday? (I guess you had minutes to spare?)
@mfladd totally.
I actually wrote this before noon, but, was busy.
@RiotDemon It’s not like it’s your fault or anything.
Wait…
@mfladd I was having fun, so it’s ok.
My black catshirtswoot of the day was this:

Another cool band I’d never heard of before.
We’re sheltered out here in the boonies.
Thanks.
Going way back when we weren’t sure what metal was, there were bands that played "doom rock."
One of these, that toured with Black Sabbath, was a band from Fort Worth, Texas that was founded by Jim Rutledge.
(Any relation, @snapster?)
Bloodrock – D.O.A.
@2many2no the only reason I found them was because I played a band station on the iHeartRadio and eventually they popped up as something they thought I’d like. Trust me, my musical knowledge is terrible!
@RiotDemon Hey, you like what you like and we are having fun listening to it.
I think it’s easier today than ever before for a band to self-publish their own music, and as a result there are a lot of gems to be found in a world where only a very few bands make it big. There is a tremendous amount of talent out there among bands that don’t have access to big-time promotion or the ability to take the time for relentless touring.
@2many2no I think there’s only a couple of you enjoying it, lol
Thanks for sticking around
@RiotDemon Sometimes you have to convert people just a few at a time. Metal is one of the best stress relievers ever… the louder, the better.
(Well, also a good FPS, especially with metal on the headphones.)
@2many2no Frames Per Second?
@mollama Ha, ha. First Person Shooter.
