“So you’re handing out Christmas stuff?” said the trick-or-treaters on the front step. “On Halloween?”
“You betcha,” said Ms. Beverly. “It’s the superior holiday. It’s festive, it’s jolly, it’s merry, and most importantly, it’s not just a parade of little buggers running around in stupid clothing.”
The trick-or-treater stared at her a moment.
