“Sentinel”, huh, guys? OK, sure. We’re really not trying to pick on Solo’s choice of names. It’s kind of a ridiculous thing to dwell on when you’re talking about a high-end backpack at a price like this.
Well, call us ridiculous. Because we can’t let it go. In the English language as most of us speak it, a sentinel is a guard, a defender, a protector. So don’t be fooled by the name. This Sentinel backpack offers no more protective ability than any other half-decent backpack. If some miscreant has his heart set on your laptop, these zippers aren’t going to stop him.
You could print out a sign that says THIS BACKPACK PROTECTED BY MURDER ROBOTS and derive approximately the same theft-deterrent benefit as the backpack itself. Hell, forget printing it. You could scrawl it on the back of an envelope.
The only thing stupider than buying this backpack for its magic protection powers would be not buying it because of the corny name. Because seriously, if you need a good backpack, this is a ridiculously good one for this price. But who’s gonna protect us from awful marketing-driven product names?
