Odyssey Toys X-7 Microlite Drone
- A drone that lights up with LEDs and can withstand some bumps thanks to its bumpers
- It can be controlled from up to 325 feet away with 2.4 GHz transmitter
- The Amazon page describes it as a “gutsy galactic taxi,” which sounds like a P-Funk lyric
- For those of you who thought today’s product might be a Fuko, you’ll have to wait…
- Model: ODY-7505* (Has a weird Google results page if you’re viewing on desktop. The drone owns the actual search results, but there’s a sponsored “Shop for ODY‑7505 on Google” sidebar that links to bras. Who would bid on that keyword??)

It’s a lot of fun to play around with for every member of the household:
Its got bright lights to see it at night and bumpers to fend off the worst damage. It doesn’t have a camera, but that’s just as well. Your video projects would probably end up like this:
Or this:
Or this:
Or, if you’re foolish enough to fly it around an area with a bunch people wielding ranged weaponry, like this:
Point is – stay within your quadcopter-flying capabilities and have some fun.
